Counting the Omer Psalms 119:145-152 Day 41

Leviticus 23:15-16 (NKJV) 15 ‘And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. 16 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.

ק Qoph

145 I cry out with my whole heart;
Hear me, O Lord!
I will keep Your statutes.
146 I cry out to You;
Save me, and I will keep Your testimonies.
147 I rise before the dawning of the morning,
And cry for help;
I hope in Your word.
148 My eyes are awake through the night watches,
That I may meditate on Your word.
149 Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness;
O Lord, revive me according to Your justice.
150 They draw near who follow after wickedness;
They are far from Your law.
151 You are near, O Lord,
And all Your commandments are truth.
152 Concerning Your testimonies,
I have known of old that You have founded them forever.

482. You shall not give your brother your money for interest --Leviticus 25:37 Thou shalt not give him thy money upon usury, nor lend him thy victuals for increase.
483. You shall not give your brother food for increase --Leviticus 25:37
484. You shall observe the laws of inheritance --Numbers 27:8 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.
485. You shall not harden your heart or close your hand against your destitute brother --Deuteronomy 15:7 If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:

487. You shall not move the boundary markers of your neighbor --Deuteronomy 19:14 Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour's landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the Lord thy God giveth thee to possess it.
488. You shall return the lost property of your brother --Deuteronomy 22:1 Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.
489. You shall not hide yourself from any lost property of your brother --Deuteronomy 22:3
In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother's, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.

490.
 You shall not take the mother bird with her young --Deuteronomy 22:7
But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.
 Fiveamprayer there is a certain amount of comfort the things that are familiar.  And this comfort in come cases has lulled us to sleep.  Because of this comfort, we may not even pay close attention, assuming that we already know how this is gonna go.  Wake up and open your eyes to see what Yahweh will teach us early this morning!  We have to take all that is familiar and put in the proper context to obtain proper understanding
 .  Reading His scriptures in the Hebraic context instead of 21st century eyes revels the original intent of the Author and Finisher of our faith!  This parable in Luke 15 often called the prodigal son has been featured in many sermons in every church.  Taking this in context for the culture and time of history is extremely important.  We have a battle of opposing ideas, that the Lord God in His mercy is ever reaching for us to return to Him and the image of a harsh to the 'T' watcher of us to see if we miss any portion of the law.  Who is looking for the slightest infraction, to throw the book at us.  This idea and image that is linked with this thought has us looking at our Heavenly Father in a distorted light.  The ideas started in the early church that echo even now today are from misunderstanding or misinterpretation of the original intent.  The severe judge who keeps the law in the strictest sense is certainly at odds with our loving Heavenly Father who is beckoning us back to Him.  It is in His presence, as His sons that we experience His complete mercy and grace, we come to understand His intent and purpose for us!
This parable introduces a man who has two sons, then proceeds to the request or rather demand of the youngest son coming and asking for his portion of the inheritance from the father.  This to us in our 21st century, American mindset does not raise any eyebrows.  To those in the Yeshua's audience not only would this be a eyebrow raising beginning to a teaching but actual outrage.  The level of disrespect and shame the younger son shoves onto the father is beyond belief!!  The audacity to make this request, which is tantamount to saying 'dad, I need some money and I can't wait until you die, so gimme mine now!'  This thought of the younger son does not end there because once the father agrees to divide the inheritance between the brothers, he promptly leaves and goes about his way.  This shows his lack of connection to his father, a total disregard for family and respect.  This illustration brings even more apprehension and anger to the audience listening to Jesus the Christ teach.  His actions speak volumes of where he finds value, in his travels to a distant land he goes and spends all the money of wild living.  His exit also speaks to the community being furious with him for how he is treating his father, this deed seen as the highest form of disrespect. The elder of the sons during this exchange has nothing to say.  In this time and culture, he was to go to the younger brother and plead that he would not do this shameful thing and attempt to restore the younger son back to the father.  But we have no interjection from him to stop this rude and humiliating action of the younger son towards his own father.  After the money runs out and the younger son is forced to hire himself out in a job that was the lowest of the low.  In this culture you would not want a person to suffer but in this situation they do offer him a job, to feed the pigs.  This job was actually not a helping hand but a insult that you did not expect them to work or soon after quit.  We have been given the clue that no one would help him, which confirms the communities outrage at his action of the treatment of the father.  This news even spread from his home town to where he was currently.  The phrase he came to his senses does not mean what we think in the 21st century context, this is partial repentance born out of suffering and desperation not a true desire to turn form wicked ways and wholeheartedly grasp onto righteousness.  His plan to return and ask to be a hired servant is that he would be able to obtain money for his well being but not have to come under the father's authority.  This was a plan to save face.  Is this one many of us have considered?!  We have to take a hard look at ourselves is that our relationship with the Almighty God?
Repentance is more than remorse it involves the following actions:
recognition of wrong doing and confession
determination to stop doing the wrong things
the actual appropriate response
 The biggest surprise to the audience of this parable is the father's response.  He did divide up the inheritance at the younger son's request.  He could have rebuked the disrespect and even put him out of the house for such a request.  Then when the son returns with the appearance of his hat in his hand (making to look that he has been humbled) to request a lower status with the father for the wrong that he had done unto him. The father comes out running to greet him, he had been watching and knew of his return from a distance.  The shame of a man running in the this culture shows that he is not cautious and lacking in wisdom.  While the community was still in disbelief at the arrogance of the younger son, the father rushes out to forgive and restore him.  The younger son did not have to bear the judgement of the community nor their very likely harsh words for the contempt that he showed his father.  The killing of the fatted calf shows that this celebration was for the entire community for the restoration of the lost son to the loving father.  It is not until the return of the younger son that we hear the voice of the elder son inquiring about the celebration going on in his house.  The hardness of his heart is shown in the discussion with his father where he distances himself from his brother and blames the father for not showing him the same kind of love and favor while he has been by his side serving without error.  The father, in leaving the celebration of the returned son, goes to entreat his other son to come celebrate with the community.  Again the father is willing and ready to reposition himself to make a plea for the son to join him.  The custom at that time would see the shame of the father having to go out and plead to the son, as a open shame before the  community.  The father does not vary in his love nor actions the same grace extended to the younger is here extended to the elder brother.  The parable ends there, but Fiveamprayer we have to determine which brother are we?

Counting the Omer Psalms 119:137-144 Day 40

Leviticus 23:15-16 (NKJV) 15 ‘And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. 16 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.

137 Righteous are You, O Lord,
And upright are Your judgments.
138 Your testimonies, which You have commanded,
Are righteous and very faithful.
139 My zeal has consumed me,
Because my enemies have forgotten Your words.
140 Your word is very pure;
Therefore Your servant loves it.
141 I am small and despised,
Yet I do not forget Your precepts.
142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness,
And Your law is truth.
143 Trouble and anguish have overtaken me,
Yet Your commandments are my delights.
144 The righteousness of Your testimonies is everlasting;
Give me understanding, and I shall live.

Witness wonders throughout the Bible:
H6382 pele' meaning wonder, marvel, extraordinary, of God's acts of judgment and redemption
Exodus 3:20, 4:21; Deuteronomy 6:22; Joshua 3:5; Isaiah 8:18; Daniel 4:2-3, 6:27; Joel 2:3; Nehemiah 9:17;  Psalm 77:11, 77:14; 88:12; 89:5; 96:3; 105:5; 107:23; 136:4; Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; John 4:48; Acts 2:19; 2:22; 5:12, 6:8; Romans 15:19; Hebrews 2:4

What do you do when you are truly seeking a word from the Lord God Almighty but get an interruption?  What is your response to technical difficulties?  Do you go off and do your own study of the Bible?  Sit quietly in prayer?

Genesis 19:10 But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.
2 Kings 4:33 He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto the Lord.
Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
John 20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
Fiveamprayer we have to shut the door to distractions and truly seek Him!  If you are isolated from the others studying the word of God what do you do?  Who do you depend on to feed you manna from heaven?  If your car breaks down, does that prevent you from your set aside time with Yahweh, if you are not able to assemble with others, do you seek Him alone?  Does the circumstance change what you do or just where you do it?  So you can have church in your house because your car is down or is that an excuse not to study at all?  Is there really any distraction that can keep Elohim from you?

129 Your testimonies are wonderful;
Therefore my soul keeps them.
130 The entrance of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple.
131 I opened my mouth and panted,
For I longed for Your commandments.
132 Look upon me and be merciful to me,
As Your custom is toward those who love Your name.
133 Direct my steps by Your word,
And let no iniquity have dominion over me.
134 Redeem me from the oppression of man,
That I may keep Your precepts.
135 Make Your face shine upon Your servant,
And teach me Your statutes.
136 Rivers of water run down from my eyes,
Because men do not keep Your law.

Witness One Lord throughout the Bible:
 Deuteronomy 6:4; Zechariah 14:9; Mark 12:29; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians
4:4-6

Hear O Israel, The Lord our God, the Lord is One

The first word of the prayer, shema H8085 which means to hear, listen to, obey, to hear with attention or interest.  This is a declaration of great import, pay attention and obey!
   We are to live our lives in a praiseworthy manner.  Upholding His 613 principles.  This is what the Jews and Hebrews did, so much so that they were known by other cultures by their customs and lifestyle. John 6:4 And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.  John 7:2 Now the Jew's feast of tabernacles was at hand.  And that their, the God of Israel was different than other gods.  1 Samuel 5:10 Therefore they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And it came to pass, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought about the ark of the God of Israel to us, to slay us and our people.

We are also given that His house, should be a house of prayer.  That is how Yahweh identified His house, as a house of prayer, and rebuked the people for making it a den of thieves.  Our prayers should be an intimate time with Adonai a conversation from our heart with
 Him.  As the children of Israel had in the wilderness a tabernacle that the priest would enter in to in the appointed time and in the appointed manner.  We too are to enter into prayer with Elohim at the appointed time and manner.  Over all our lives should be lived in a constant conversation with the Lord God Almighty, that the things throughout the day are interrupting this on-going dialogue and not the other way around.
   This was lived out by the Hebrews in daily communion with the Lord God in prayer, not only in the synagogue or on the feast days, but daily and throughout the day.
   For the greatness of our God, we are in prayer and reverence for we trust and believe!  He is the great I AM!  He is all that He needs to be when He needs to be!
Fiveamprayer, during this time, the Counting of the Omer
 , take a look at your level of intimacy with God Almighty.  Are your prayers consistent with His word?  Are they a continuous conversation?  Speaking with Him throughout the day?  Blessing Him for all that He has given and allowed you to receive?  Do you revere His greatness?  What is the content of your prayers?  Are they merely for show?  Or are they are they a true seeking of Yahweh?  Are you in discussion with Him?  Are you worshiping Him?

 We are to pray His scriptures, they were given to us for our study and understanding.  While we are praying His word, we are also standing on His promises.  We are walking in obedience in what He has given us to do, according to the volume of the Book.  We are not able nor successful in making demands on His promises while in disobedience!!  We have been given ears to hear and I pray that we are doing just that,
hearing with attention and obeying
 .  The Shema: Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One.  What are we paying attention to?  What are we listening to hear and obey?  We have who the declaration was for, Israel and the message is next.  The Lord who is our God is one.   The word one in the prayer is echad.  Let there no longer be confusion, the Lord our God is not many, He is Echad!  We have been given many names for Him that show us His attributes but when we do all the math the answer is always 1!  John 17:10-12 (KJV) 10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. 11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
   Look at this prayer of Yeshua the Son of God, He is praying that the people would be one as He and God are one.  Same equation, Yeshua + Yahweh = Echad!  We are given many things in the Bible in three's which is to draw our attention to what is happening or being said.  This by the early church fathers has become an idea called the trinity.  This idea supposes that there are three distinct persons who are all one.  In a study of this word, trinity you will not find it in the Bible.  Due to the allusion of the number three this idea became widely known throughout church history.  Which is in direct conflict to what Yahweh declared in Deuteronomy 6:4--God is One!  Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  Since God was in the beginning, before the beginning began, (thank your Rabbi Messer for this teaching) and the Word was in the beginning and the Word is God and Jesus is the Word made flesh looks like my all my additions from these two scriptures comes up to ONE!  This division is like saying a woman who is a wife, a sister, a niece, an aunt, a friend, a co-worker, a God-mother, a cousin is adding up to 9 different people who all answer to the same legal name.  We have to go back to the first oracles of God.  This clears up any confusion that happened many years ago that keep continuing out of our ignorance or misunderstanding of what was thought or known at the time.  Praise the Lord God Almighty for bringing us to this time and season of understanding and outpouring of His Spirit.  Fiveamprayer, He is teaching us how, in every area of our lives.  For we have allowed ourselves to be corrected and molded by His loving hand.  Proverbs 3:12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. Fiveamprayer, there was so much that was taught on this line today.  Go in and and listen several times click here

Do not let the proud oppress me.

124 Deal with Your servant according to Your mercy,
And teach me Your statutes.
125 I am Your servant;
Give me understanding,
That I may know Your testimonies.
126 It is time for You to act, O Lord,
For they have regarded Your law as void.
127 Therefore I love Your commandments
More than gold, yes, than fine gold!
128 Therefore all Your precepts concerning all things
I consider to be right;
I hate every false way.

113 I hate the double-minded,
But I love Your law.
114 You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in Your word.
115 Depart from me, you evildoers,
For I will keep the commandments of my God!
116 Uphold me according to Your word, that I may live;
And do not let me be ashamed of my hope.
117 Hold me up, and I shall be safe,
And I shall observe Your statutes continually.
118 You reject all those who stray from Your statutes,
For their deceit is falsehood.
119 You put away all the wicked of the earth like dross;
Therefore I love Your testimonies.
120 My flesh trembles for fear of You,
And I am afraid of Your judgments.
Witness usury throughout the Bible:  this is the Hebrew word neshek H5392 meaning interest.  Exodus 22:25, Leviticus 25:36-37; Deuteronomy 23:19-20; Nehemiah 5:7, 5:10; Psalm 15:5; Isaiah 24:2; Jeremiah 15:10; Ezekiel 22:12; Matthew 25:27; Luke 19:23
Fiveamprayer, during the counting of the Omer, are we being mindful of what His word says?  Are we studying His word so that we can be obedient to His Torah?  We are to study, to learn, to do.  Our purpose was given to us in the garden in Genesis 1:26-28.  We are responsible for the care of the Earth as well as each other.  We were given rulership we have choices that will be upheld.  The results we have gained are from our choices.  It is us, who have and  and will determine how this will go--for He has put this in our hands. We have to look to Yahweh to listen to Him and discern what we are to do according to His word.  We are accountable to our just and holy God!  Are you listening to His word?  His word all in it's entirety?!  Open your eyes and hear the goodness of the Lord God Almighty!  Keep seeking Him and remain in His presence, His word and keeping His commandments, because we love Him!   We were given His principles, the 613 commandments because we need them to govern our lives.  Be obedient in obedience.  Let's take a look at those who were obedient to His Torah, in what they were instructed to do, Moses and Noah for an example.  Fiveamprayer we have got to know that obedience is better than sacrifice!!   To hear this again click here.

ל Lamed

89 Forever, O Lord,
Your word is settled in heaven.
90 Your faithfulness endures to all generations;
You established the earth, and it abides.
91 They continue this day according to Your ordinances,
For all are Your servants.
92 Unless Your law had been my delight,
I would then have perished in my affliction.
93 I will never forget Your precepts,
For by them You have given me life.
94 I am Yours, save me;
For I have sought Your precepts.
95 The wicked wait for me to destroy me,
But I will consider Your testimonies.
96 I have seen the consummation of all perfection,
But Your commandment is exceedingly broad.

479. You shall not slaughter an animal and its offspring on the same day --Leviticus 22:28 And whether it be cow, or ewe, ye shall not kill it and her young both in one day.
480. You shall not reap the corners of the field and the gleanings of your harvest --Leviticus 23:22 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the Lord your God.

Witness poverty throughout the Bible:  the Hebrew word machcowr H4270 meaning need of a thing, lack, want

Fiveamprayer, Adonai is our strength and dwelling place!  He is our dwelling place in all generations.  This is our encouragement since all believers have a wilderness to go through.  He is from everlasting to everlasting.  He is Elohim!  Above all and overall of creation, known as the Ancient of Days.  We must know the scriptures and the power of Elohim!  We find in study that Moses is the writer of Psalm 90.  Who better to write for men to turn away from destruction, that man would turn unto His righteousness.  Also giving us our time, 1,000 years as a day and a day as 1,000 years.  In the morning of our life we sprout from His watering and in the evening cut down and withered.  When a person walks in rebellion there is a a limit of Yahweh's mercy.  Looking at Eli and his sons--was dealt with by Elohim for their acts and practices.  Much like judgement on Israel receives after leaving Egypt.  Only their children, Joshua and Caleb entered the promised land!  We must obtain wisdom to live life to the fullest!  Live with purpose and uprightness before Yahweh.  True humility is based on what we are in relation to Yahweh, not others.  How do we use our fleeting time we have on the earth?  In constant study of His word?  Sharing the insights that He has given you with others?  Walking in the volume of the Book?  Seek Him early for spiritual manna and obtain a special blessing.  For when the sun grows hot, the manna melted.  Yahweh is exalted in all the earth!  He is the King of Eternity!  Our lives should be centered and lived for Him!  To listen to this awesome message click here

Counting of the Omer Day 33 Psalm 119:81-88

Leviticus 23:15-16
(NKJV) 15 ‘And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. 16 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.
 Psalm 119:81-88

ך Kaph

81 My soul faints for Your salvation,
But I hope in Your word.
82 My eyes fail from searching Your word,
Saying, “When will You comfort me?”
83 For I have become like a wineskin in smoke,
Yet I do not forget Your statutes.
84 How many are the days of Your servant?
When will You execute judgment on those who persecute me?
85 The proud have dug pits for me,
Which is not according to Your law.
86 All Your commandments are faithful;
They persecute me wrongfully;
Help me!
87 They almost made an end of me on earth,
But I did not forsake Your precepts.
88 Revive me according to Your lovingkindness,
So that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth.
Witness goodness throughout the Bible:  in Hebrew it is the Strong's number H2898

The trespass offerings were given in some of the same manner as the sin offerings.  There are portions that the priest who did the offering were to receive and even share with other priests.  He who did the work must have the wages.  Fiveamprayer, the more that we study the Torah, the more advantages we receive.  Freely they were given and freely they were to give.  Fiveamprayer, this is harkening from the message yesterday--what are you freely giving of what you have received?  That we could share in fellowship with others.  The peace offering is an offering that the bringer is able to partake a portion of that sacrifice.
Leviticus is the book of instruction in the Tanakh as the book of Hebrews is for the Brit Chadasha.  Over 40% of the 613 commandments are found in the book of Leviticus.  The study of the book of Leviticus give us more understanding of the perfect atoning sacrifice of Yeshua.  That the sacrifices and regulations are a foreshadow of the Lamb of God who was slain for the world.  We are to be a set aside, set apart to be holy for the Lord God Almighty for He is holy.  To hear this again click here.

Counting of the Omer Day 32 Psalm 119:73-80

Leviticus 23:15-16
(NKJV) 15 ‘And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. 16 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord. Psalm 119:73-80

י Yod
73 Your hands have made me and fashioned me;
Give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments.
74 Those who fear You will be glad when they see me,
Because I have hoped in Your word.
75 I know, O Lord, that Your judgments are right,
And that in faithfulness You have afflicted me.
76 Let, I pray, Your merciful kindness be for my comfort,
According to Your word to Your servant.
77 Let Your tender mercies come to me, that I may live;
For Your law is my delight.
78 Let the proud be ashamed,
For they treated me wrongfully with falsehood;
But I will meditate on Your precepts.
79 Let those who fear You turn to me,
Those who know Your testimonies.
80 Let my heart be blameless regarding Your statutes,
That I may not be ashamed.

Witness salvation throughout the Bible: yesha is the Strong's number H3468
 meaning liberty, saving, rescue, welfare, victory.
Genesis 49:18; Exodus 14:13, 15:2; Psalm 3:8, 9:14, 13:5, 14:7, 18:2, 18:35, 18:16, 20:5, 25:5, 27:1, 27:9, 37:39, 40:16, 50:23, 53:6, 62:2, 68:19, 85:7, 91:15, 96:2, 116:13, 119:41, 119:81, 119:155, 119:166, 119:174; Isaiah 12:2-3, 25:9, 33:2, 33:6, 45:8, 45:17, 46:13, 49:6; Luke 19:9; John 4:22; Acts 4:12, 28:28; Hebrews 5:9; Revelation 7:10, 12:10, 19:1

Fiveamprayer, it is harvest time, harvest of souls.  We have to seek Him and His word fully and truly.  There are forces working against His word both in and outside the church.  We are to walk according to His instruction and not by grace without accountability.  This grace we have been given is not to allow our earthly desires to run rampant.  With all that is going on these days we were placed here to be beacons of light.  Which light?  The Light of the World.  John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

 Are you being a beacon of light in the darkness of this world?   By our words and actions our Savior is manifested in us as we continue to yield to Him!  Don't get fat on the word--
go out and teach!  Teach others, that they too would learn!  We should all profit from the Davar Elohim, the Word of God for it is our teaching and instruction, our life, direction, health--Psalm 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

The scattered sheep are the wolves buffet.  The under-shepherds are to go out and seek the sheep.  We are to all lead the sheep back, being pastors or not.  We know where
 to go and can lead them back.  Lead them back to Elohim's pasture.  Due to people de-valuing Yahweh, the sheep are wandering away.  Walk in the Torah, which is learning to revere the Lord God Almighty.  In study of His Torah, we
 begin to hold Him in high esteem.  We are no longer guessing on what to do or our purpose but find clear directions of how to proceed as He causes us to lead.  While Counting the Omer, what harvest are you expecting?  You can not proclaim the gospel of the Lord God with a closed mouth!  How can they hear if no one tells them?  Walking in the Torah according to the Holy Spirit is the fullness of the Torah, for Yeshua is the goal of the Torah!  No more walking blindly, in the Torah or according to the flesh alone.  This is bigger than you, you are placed where you are for a reason!  Don't take this information and hold on to it, give it away.  Teach the people that they would hear the goodness of God!  To hear this again click here.

ט Teth

65 You have dealt well with Your servant,
O Lord, according to Your word.
66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge,
For I believe Your commandments.
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray,
But now I keep Your word.
68 You are good, and do good;
Teach me Your statutes.
69 The proud have forged a lie against me,
But I will keep Your precepts with my whole heart.
70 Their heart is as fat as grease,
But I delight in Your law.
71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted,
That I may learn Your statutes.
72 The law of Your mouth is better to me
Than thousands of coins of gold and silver.

Fiveamprayer get up this morning, the wait is over!!!  Don't get discouraged!!  Who do you trust?  Are your eyes of He who orchestrates ALL things?  He who knows the end from the very beginning?  Stand on His word not your own.  That is what He will preform, what He upholds and make sure comes to pass--the Davar Elohim the Word of God!!  Hold to His word it is a rock, an anchor, healing, provision all that is needed is already provided!  But do you believe Him?  Does He have valid credentials?  Has He done it before?  Has He done it for anyone else?  Are you lining up with His teaching and instructions?  What is your expectation?  Can you find scripture to stand on and line up with the volume of the Book?!  Look at Adonai and not your situation.  Keep your eyes on Elohim and not the problem.  Cast your eyes on Yahweh, He never fails!!  The wait is over!!  To hear this awesome message from Testimony Tuesday click here.!!

Paying Attention On Purpose!

Psalm 119:112; Judges 17:10-11; Zephaniah 3:9; Romans 15:4; Isaiah 2:3; Psalm 119:97, 105; Numbers 30:1-6

What we are walking in today:  Paying Attention On Purpose!
Counting of the Omer Day 30 Psalm 119:57-64

Leviticus 23:15-16
(NKJV) 15 ‘And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. 16 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.

ח Heth

57 You are my portion, O Lord;
I have said that I would keep Your words.
58 I entreated Your favor with my whole heart;
Be merciful to me according to Your word.
59 I thought about my ways,
And turned my feet to Your testimonies.
60 I made haste, and did not delay
To keep Your commandments.
61 The cords of the wicked have bound me,
But I have not forgotten Your law.
62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You,
Because of Your righteous judgments.
63 I am a companion of all who fear You,
And of those who keep Your precepts.
64 The earth, O Lord, is full of Your mercy;
Teach me Your statutes.
Witness ordinances throughout the Bible:  Exodus 18:20; Leviticus 18:3-4; Numbers 9:12; Psalm 119:91; Isaiah 58:2; Jeremiah 31:35; Ezekiel 11:20; Malachi 3:7; Luke 1:6; Ephesians 2:15; Colossians 2:20
Fiveamprayer we have to take a look at ourselves, during this time of Counting of the Omer.  Are we being mindful of our thoughts and actions?  We have been reading sections from Psalms 119 to reflect on and meditate during this time.  We are in preparation for what Yahweh will bring us to at the end of this count.  During this time we are looking over what needs to be corrected or built up in our lives.  This time before Him and study of His word we find where we have missed the goal or target and make the correction!  We have to teach and structure ourselves to be present in the present.  Not allowing our thoughts to wander and have their own way.  Be focused and be mindful of your thoughts and actions, are these according to the Torah, His teaching and instruction?
For example when we eat, if we are watching tv, reading or talking takes us away from our being mindful of the sensation of eating, the process of chewing and swallowing--all that is involved in eating is being mindful.  Not distracted by anything else that focus and re-directing of your mind is what being mindful is.  Keeping your mind stayed on your focus.  What should be our focus?  Where should our attention be centered?  Being mindful and pay attention on purpose is taking every thought captive--2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.  As we have been directed that we must give our minds something to think on first thing in the morning.  We can no longer let every thought have free reign.  What we find is that we have to not only to take every thought captive but to give our mind something to think on.  Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Fiveamprayer, let us be aware on purpose on the here and now.  Many of us are looking over our shoulder to the past or peering down the road to the future.  Let us not get ahead nor stay behind.  We serve the Great I AM, He is all that He needs to be.  What an awesome example of being in the here and now!  Be mindful and give your mind something to focus on, His good word, what Yahweh has given us to lead and direct our lives!  That we are able to be content which is defined as satisfied and not displeased.  How many of us can describe themselves in this state?  This is found in being present, in the present.  No longer let your mind wander hither and yon but be focused on what His word, His instruction that we would have successful lives.  To hear this awesome word again click here.

ה He

33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes,

Witness remember throughout the Bible--Genesis 9:15-16; Exodus 13:3, 20:8, 32:13; Leviticus 26:42; Numbers 15:39; Deuteronomy 7:18, 24:18; Job 36:24; Psalm 20:7, 22:27, 25:6-7, 42:4, 63:4-8, 74:2, 77:10, 137:6, 143:5; Isaiah 38:3, 43:25; Jeremiah 14:21, 15:15, 31:34; Ezekiel 16:60, 20:43; Zechariah 10:9; Malachi 4:4; Matthew 16:9, 27:63, Luke 23:42, 24:6; John 15:20; 1 Corinthians 11:2; Revelation 2:5, 3:3

Fiveamprayer we need to go back to the first.  Go back to the beginning--the first oracles of God. So many of us have been stuck at the cross.  This is not to diminish the importance of the cross and what Yeshua did for us.  The question is will we cross over that threshold into what His blood bought us?!  John 10:7-9 (KJV)7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.  The word oracle appears 17 times in the King James Bible, and oracles 4 times.  What we must understand about the use of this word is that Webster's dictionary attributes oracle to mean a message from the gods delivered through a medium.  This is in reference to the pagan gods that sent messages to the priests to give to the people.  Often in the translation of the Bible from Hebrew the word davar was translated as oracle.  The word davar is the word in reference to the word of Elohim.  An utterance of Almighty God Himself.  The beginning of the books of the prophets often have this is the word of God given to me...This is to let us know that these are not the prophets words but Davar Elohim, the Word of God.  Oracle can also be used in regard to the place that you would go to inquire or where the message is received.  Such as the holy of holies where the high priest would go in to hear from Yahweh.  This is the Lord God's speaking place.  Where are you Fiveamprayer?  Are you still at the door?    To hear this again click here for more of this awesome teaching!!

5 Smooth Stones--You Are Between Your Blessing--Don't Complain, Exodus 16

Exodus 16; 12:18, 15:27; Nehemiah 9:15; Psalm 78:24, 105:40; Numbers 11:7-8; Deuteronomy 8:3; Hebrews 9:4; John 6:32-33

We are walking in today:  5 Smooth Stones--You Are Between Your Blessing--Don't Complain, Exodus 16

Counting the Omer Leviticus 23:15-16 (NKJV) 15 ‘And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. 16 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.
Day 26 Psalm 119: 25-32

ד Daleth

25 My soul clings to the dust;
Revive me according to Your word.
26 I have declared my ways, and You answered me;
Teach me Your statutes.
27 Make me understand the way of Your precepts;
So shall I meditate on Your wonderful works.
28 My soul melts from heaviness;
Strengthen me according to Your word.
29 Remove from me the way of lying,
And grant me Your law graciously.
30 I have chosen the way of truth;
Your judgments I have laid before me.
31 I cling to Your testimonies;
O Lord, do not put me to shame!
32 I will run the course of Your commandments,
For You shall enlarge my heart.

Witness salvation throughout the Bible:  Genesis 49:18; Exodus 14:13 , 15:2; Psalm 3:8, 9:15, 14:7, 18:2, 18:46, 20:5, 25:5, 27:1, 27:9; 37:39, 40:16,50:23, 53:6, 62:3, 68:19, 85:7, 91:16, 116:13, 119:41, 119:81, 119:123, 119:155, 119:166, 119:174; Isaiah 12:2-3, 25:9, 33:2, 33:6,45:8,45:17, 46:13, 49:6; Luke 19:9; John 4:22; Acts 4:12, 28:28; Hebrews 5:9; Revelation 7:10, 12:10; 19:1

Fiveamprayer we have been given many scriptures to stand on during this time, we may be getting in the flesh and becoming impatient--Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Ecclesiastes 9:11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  Wake up this morning!  Open up their understanding Adonai, give them eyes to see that we are between our blessing!  Now is especially not the time to complain!  Yahweh has promised and will provide!
The children of Israel were brought out of Egypt by the word and hand of Elohim.  This is something that many did not think would happen. But it was known to them that a time was coming that they would leave.  There was instruction by Joseph to take his bones with them when they left.  So from way back then it was already understood they would be leaving.  Fiveamprayer do you have something that you were told long ago and now in the counting of the omer, Adonai is bringing to rememberance?  He is going to move on that thing.  Make ready and prepare!  Watch Him bring you out!
The children of Israel while on their way to mount Sinai, were in the wilderness of Sin between Elim and Sinai.  This was on the 15th of the second month of leaving out of Egypt.  They were on the way to meet Yahweh as they were instructed to do, but they were complaining on the way.  But the complaint that they had on their lips actually was not against Moses and Aaron but against Elohim Himself.  He is the one that delivered them out of Egypt, had them to cross the Rea Sea on dry ground and had pharaoh and his riders drown in the sea.  No mere man could do this EVER!!!  With the concern that the supplies were going to run out, here the people continue in complaint. They had a complaint in Exodus 15 regarding the bitter water and Adonai provided for them and yet in their journey they got into complaint again.  Take your focus off of the material things, for Yahweh is the Creator of ALL things. There is no running out when He is your supplier!  Why would you anticipate the bad things happening when the All-Seeing God,  All-Powerful God is keeping you?!  Like the children of Israel should have been in expectation from being brought out of Egypt, Fiveamprayer we should be doing the same during the counting of the omer.  We are counting up to Shavout and the giving of the Torah at mount Sinai.  Don't in error put your trust in the past with your complaints, nor accuse others falsely!
In this chapter of Exodus 16 we have His merciful answer to their complaint--manna, bread from heaven that was rained down on them.  This bread was sustenance but also showed the preparation of Yahweh's provision.  The winds swept the ground, then the rain washed it and then the manna came down, the people went out and swept up enough for their eating.  The preparation shows that not only did Elohim provide but it was clean and without dirt.  Get a visual of this--manna is a small thing about the size of a sesame seed all over the ground that when swept up was able to be made into cakes or other preparations for eating.  Clean food from off of the ground?  Who could do such a thing?  Trust that what and all that He provides for you will not lack nor be less than a Righteous Holy King would provide for His people.  This time in the wilderness was a time of testing to see would the people rely on Him daily?  Fiveamprayer, is He your daily bread?  That in the goodness and provision of the Almighty that they were able to collect and prepare enough for two days the day before the Sabbath.  Experiences, even great ones don't always change the heart as much as we think that they would.  From what they experienced and what we have gone through there could still be doubt and complaint.  Think on this and know that Yahweh has and is providing for us! We are still here and brought out of our own Egypt experiences--both individually and collectively.  What the Lord God is teaching us now is eternal lessons that He is in control, it is all in His perfect timing.  The children of Israel much like us, were instructed by their hunger and thirst.  But we must be mindful of what we are taking in!  Is it provision from the hand of Adonai?  Or something to keep us from being hungry?  This gathering in of the manna an omer according to the person was to be collected by the family themselves, not even the wealthy could hire another, they each had to obtain for themselves this manna.  They had to rise up early to collect it for when the sun waxed hot it melted.  Thank You Almighty God and all praises to Your name!  You appointed this time before we begin out day to eat on the bread of heaven that You rain down on this conference line!  Hallelujah and glory to Your name!  Click here to hear this awesome word!!  No more complaining He has already provided!  It is in His perfect time!  Wait on Him!!

We are walking in today:  The Creator Speaks--The Torah

Counting the Omer Leviticus 23:15-16 (NKJV) 15 ‘And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. 16 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.
Day 25 Psalm 119:17-24

ג Gimel

17 Deal bountifully with Your servant,
That I may live and keep Your word.
18 Open my eyes, that I may see
Wondrous things from Your law.
19 I am a stranger in the earth;
Do not hide Your commandments from me.
20 My soul breaks with longing
For Your judgments at all times.
21 You rebuke the proud—the cursed,
Who stray from Your commandments.
22 Remove from me reproach and contempt,
For I have kept Your testimonies.
23 Princes also sit and speak against me,
But Your servant meditates on Your statutes.
24 Your testimonies also are my delight
And my counselors.

Witness firstfruits throughout the Bible:  Exodus 34:22; Leviticus 23:10; Numbers 18:12, 28:26; Deuteronomy 26:10; Nehemiah 10:35; Jeremiah 2:3; Ezekiel 20:40, 48:14; Proverbs 3:9; James 1:17-18; Revelation 14:4

Fiveamprayer we have to take a serious look at how we study or have studied scripture.  There is a method of how we are to study that we would receive the original intent of the Author.   This correct study and understanding is the charge of every believer.  That is why He gave it unto us for our direction, boundaries and instruction.  The order is very important--1 Corinthians 14:33 (KJV) For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 1 Corinthians 14:40 (KJV)  Let all things be done decently and in order.  How often is it taught in the church for new believers to begin reading the Bible more than half way through in the book of John?  How can we obtain a full understanding with the first 3/4th of the book cast in a shadow?  Now many people will read parts of the beginning, the Tanak, the Torah, the prophets and the writings.  It is the whole Bible in it's entirety, how it was given to us, that we are to read and study.  How are we able to best determine what to study on our own?  This is the infallible word of Yahweh!! Are we as His creation, able to better discern what He intended without a full grasp of His word, by isolating and reading only the things that appeal to us?!

At the onset of this walk into the Torah, I was told, why would you go back under that harsh law?  I did not see it that way, but my focus was on this is the holy word of God so I'll do it.  Then over the months I find that I am not walking alone but with Yeshua on the inside, lead by the Holy Spirit!  He, Jesus Christ is my Messiah, the Son of Almighty God, who already walked it out perfectly.  Then shouldn't I walk and live as He lived?  Isn't He the example, the blueprint, that which we are to pattern our lives after?  The Word made flesh who walked among men?  Which Word?  Well when we go back to the beginning...

Genesis 1:1 (KJV) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. John 1:1-3 (KJV) 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. When being lead of the Holy Spirit there is a comfort and restorative rest that you receive in walking in the Torah.  Who better to instruct us than our Creator.  This was awesome teaching listen to this one again and again! ב Beth

9 How can a young man cleanse his way?
By taking heed according to Your word.
10 With my whole heart I have sought You;
Oh, let me wander from Your commandments!
11 Your word I have hidden in my heart,
That I might not sin against You.
12 Blessed are You, O Lord!
Teach me Your statutes.
13 With my lips I have declared
All the judgments of Your mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies,
As much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate on Your precepts,
And contemplate Your ways.
16 I will delight myself in Your statutes;
I will not forget Your word.

Day 23 Psalm 119:1-8

א Aleph

1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
Who walk in the law of the Lord!
2 Blessed are those who keep His testimonies,
Who seek Him with the whole heart!
3 They also do no iniquity;
They walk in His ways.
4 You have commanded us
To keep Your precepts diligently.
5 Oh, that my ways were directed
To keep Your statutes!
6 Then I would not be ashamed,
When I look into all Your commandments.
7 I will praise You with uprightness of heart,
When I learn Your righteous judgments.
8 I will keep Your statutes;
Oh, do not forsake me utterly!

The further we get from the Lord God's original intent for marriage we find higher divorce rates and children being effected due to the breakdown in the home.  With statistics that 2 out of 10 are protecting  the family and the home life.  We have some work to do! Adonai gives us the instructions of how to protect the marriage and the children.  A strong and loving marriage and household makes for a strong and loving society.  Both sex and marriage were given to man by the Lord God Almighty.  Taking Him out and disregarding His instructions have us in this current state, high divorce rates, infidelity in the marriage, diseases, children who grow up and often are divorced themselves.  One of the benefits of not having premarital sex is that there are no memories to haunt your marriage.  There is no one in the marriage bed but the couple and not anyone else that could be dragged along.  The marriage is to be the earthly example of the relationship that Yahweh wants to have with His people.  That by keeping our earthly vows to our mates we are preparing for eternal faithfulness with Him!  The marriage ascribed by the hand of God is God centered.  What the Lord God has put together, let no man put asunder! 153 Consider my affliction and deliver me,

154 Plead my cause and redeem me;
Revive me according to Your word.
155 Salvation is far from the wicked,
For they do not seek Your statutes.

Yet I do not turn from Your testimonies.

When we really have a relationship with Yahweh, we will walk in progressive revelation. What we know today was not known by our forefathers.  This is a time of Torah knowledge, by His Spirit.  The closer to the end that we get, Elohim gives us more spiritual truth.  This personal relationship with Yahweh is more than being born again but knowing Yeshua and the Torah.  That we no longer stand outside the door and admiring the workmanship of the door, but actually crossing the threshold into what the door gives us entrance into! We have to dig into our Hebrew history.  Research the lifestyle and conditions of life at that time and in that country, which we can find in a closer look at the Tanakh.  To know more can lead to a way that many do not follow.  But truly seeking Him in the scriptures!   This is a deep searching, not just a glancing over.  Let's dig deep into His holy word!  In the proper context and understanding of the culture!
