History Of Fiveamprayer

The concept of Fiveamprayer began with two friends, Renee Campbell and Dr. Jeanette Lewis, sitting in a garage discussing Pastor Anitha Jones’ book, Beyond Your Breakdown to Your Breakthrough. During that conversation, it was spoken that there was a need for people of Yah to gather and have honest, set-apart discussions about the challenges we face—things only others walking with the Most High could truly understand. At that time, we considered calling it, “Will the Real People of Yah Please Stand Up.”




In December 2008, the Most High spoke to Dr. Jeanette and instructed that we were to go on a fast. Before there was even an opportunity to ask how long the fast would be, the answer came immediately: “Don’t ask how long—just do it.” At the time, we didn’t fully understand, but the Most High was preparing us for His work. We learned quickly that sometimes you cannot question what He is saying—you simply must walk in obedience. One thing we knew for certain: we would trust Him and obey.




In January 2009, the assemblies of For His Glory Christian Fellowship and Now Faith Christian Center Church both entered into a time of fasting and prayer to begin the year. As only the Most High could orchestrate, both fasts ended on the exact same day—aligning perfectly with the fast we had begun in December. Then the Most High spoke again to Dr. Jeanette, saying that we would begin praying together daily at five in the morning.




This was truly a walk of faith, as it was something completely new for all of us. Naturally, the thought came: “Who is really going to get up that early to pray?” But we understood that obedience is greater than sacrifice. It became important for us to seek the Most High early—at the break of day—for strength, direction, and guidance. And so, on Monday, February 2, 2009, Fiveamprayer, Divine Destiny Connection, was born.




It wasn’t long before others were joined to the vision. A longtime friend of Dr. Jeanette’s, Sister Yalonda Moore from Texas, Evangelist Lisa Curry from Texas, and Sister Mary McCarter, Dr. Jeanette’s mother in Mississippi, became part of what the Most High was building. Soon, He began connecting people across the land—from California to North Carolina, from Delaware to Florida, and beyond—all rising early to seek Him. Fiveamprayer was established in Colorado, which meant that those in California were faithfully rising at 4 a.m. to join in prayer. That kind of dedication could only come from a people truly hungry for the presence of the Most High.




But Fiveamprayer was never just about prayer alone. Early in the ministry, the Most High instructed Dr. Jeanette to incorporate His Word into the daily prayer. Each day, she would seek Him for what to release to His people through the Scriptures. Day by day, we were not only praying—we were walking in His Word. Many may remember the familiar call: “ARE YOU READY FOR THE WORD OF YAH!?”




As the vision expanded, the Most High continued to build. He placed it in Dr. Jeanette’s spirit that Fiveamprayer Divine Destiny Connection would host a Prayer Conference—a time for those connected to come together in unity and declare war against the adversary. He also raised up those with gifts to support the work: Sister Zenobia Mayfield, who began publishing the daily Word on our blog; Brother Stephan Brown, who ensured that each prayer was recorded and available for replay; and Sister Sonya Bailey, who managed our Facebook presence and engaged daily with the community.




In 2015, the Most High took us even deeper. He led us on a journey to discover the truth of who Yahusha is. We sat at the feet of a Rabbi and learned of Yahusha, gaining understanding beyond what we had previously known. From there, He brought us into a greater understanding of the Kingdom—what it truly means, and how to live and walk according to the way He established from the beginning. The teachings of Dr. Myles Monroe have also been instrumental in shaping our understanding, as we continue aligning ourselves with the Most High of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.




Over the years, we have witnessed countless testimonies—prayers answered, lives transformed, chains broken, and breakthroughs manifested. We have seen what happens when a people consistently seek the Most High early. Dr. Jeanette has prayed everywhere—in her car, at her daughter’s school, in the mall, and at home—because just like the Most High, this calling is not limited to a location.




From two willing vessels to a growing body of kingdom citizens, the Most High has faithfully carried Fiveamprayer into this present time and season. Through it all, we have learned to give Him all praise, honor, and glory. No matter what it looked like, no matter how heavy the burden, He has always been our lifter, our sustainer, our provider, our healer—our everything.




We are grateful for the call to obedience, and we remain committed to the work set before us. Our desire is to continue reaching people across the world, advancing the Kingdom, and walking in the purpose the Most High has ordained.




We thank our Heavenly Father for giving Dr. Jeanette the vision and for allowing us to witness its manifestation—both now and in the years to come. This is about Him. This is about restoring lives. This is about Kingdom work.
