Revelation of Jesus, He is the Reason for the Season!

Luke 1:27-32; Revelation 2-3; John 3:16; Luke 2:13-14; Romans 14:11; 1 Chronicles 16:29-30

We are walking in today:  Revelation of Jesus, He is the Reason for the Season!

Luke 1:27-32  27) To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 28) And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. 29) And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 30) And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31) And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32) He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David.  We got a new revelation in You, God.  We know that we are still standing on Your promises.  Still seeking a revelation from You.  He is God and more than able!  We need a mighty move of God this morning.  Have Your way, Heavenly Father.  We worship You and thank You for being God, all by Yourself.  We turn it over to You--have your way, in the name of Jesus.  Are you ready for the word of God?
The church of Pergamos--the compromising church.  Revelation 2: 12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; (cut the sore, the rottenness--the sharp sword with two edges, the word of God is the answer to man's need and his sin--in this city it was false religion).  It fits into church history in a period of 590 A.D.  It is what some could identify as Paganism unlimited.  The church began to pull away from the person of Christ.  Revelation 2:13
-17 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. 14) But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. 15) So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate. 16) Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. 17) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.  Pegamus (one of the three great cities) the great religious center:  Ephesus, political and Smyrna, commercial.  Pergamos, the religious center.  Where satans headquarters was, in the most beautiful spot in that land, the devil always manages to get the most beautiful spots.  Pergamos was the center of evil due to its many pagan temples.  John says to this church--this is where satan's throne was, verse 12 and to the angel of the church of Pergamos.  This is the letter to Pergamos: fit in the period of 200 A.D. to 390 A.D. paganism unlimited.  This is the time the world entered into the church and it began to move.  This was a city labeled by many as the most illustrious of Asia.  In this city there was a temple build to Caesar of Augustus, a great healing spa there, this was a great city.  The three great cities along the coast, this church Pergamum (north) located in the north region.  The acropolis dominated the entire region of the kikus.  However Lasimicus and it became a great city under his direction and leadership.  The Great pagan temples were in Pergamos Athena, Demnton, Era, Dionysis, Epileslpiou, Zeus.   This is the city that was given over to paganism; religion was the big thing that had taken over in Pergomas.  This was the first city with papyrus used  for paper.  Lacimicus brought the city to its heyday.  The church of Thyatira--The corrupt church.  Thyiatira 590-1517 A.D. a dark period, which was inland moving away from Pergamos.  Yet they were in another beautiful area.  It was a city built for defense, but not with walls as you may think.  It was a military city, strong due to the guard that was there, but eventually fell by the enemy.  The headquarters for many of the workman or the labor unions we would identify them as.  Lydia came from Thyatira and she was a seller of purple which is really Turkey red.  Eyes like a flame of fire, feet like brass searching out judgment.  Word of commendation: verse 19 works love service faith and works and the last more than the first.  1) works (credentials of believers),  2) love, 3) faith–the sprang that, 4) service-ministry,  5) last more than the first, works increased rather than diminished.  One charge of condemnation--you tolerate the woman Jezebel and she teaches my servants,  Israel the northern kingdom, idolatry and pagan practice was mingled with Christian worship.  The period which introduced ritual worship of virgin and child, purgatory, mass set for the dead (Halloween), power and ruler ship to the pope, the church instituted the inquisition and seduced the fundamental departure of the true and Living God.  Jezebel stands in direct contrast of Lydia, I gave her space to repent of her fornication and she has not.  The apostate, the total psychological makeup.  In verse 24, those who do not hold this doctrine of those who do not know the depths of Satan I will put off the burden.   Saying to the church stand for Me, and overcome and keep My works.  The works in contrast in the works of Jezebel.  We are to rule over the nations.  The glorious appearing of our great God and Savior.  The children of Jezebel will not hear, we are looking for an individual when we are to see the spirit of Jezebel in the practice of ministry.   The intertwining of paganistic practices, Halloween-the worshiping of the dead, Christmas-the materialistic attachment to it poisoning the true light of the world, inserting a jolly old man giving gifts.  The apostate is held totally in a psychological make-up.  As the scripture says in verse 24, those who do not hold this doctrine of those who do not know the depths of Satan I will put off the burden.   Saying to the church stand for Me, and overcome and keep My works.
Thank You God!  Let those that have ears hear, what thus says the Lord.  He has let us know that He is reveling more onto us!  That there is a door set before us that no man can shut.  Behold unto the world, a Son is born, named Jesus. This season is about our Lord.  He is the reason, why we call this season Christmas.  Don't take Christ out of Christmas!!    We have a new mindset to walk in this season!!  God is doing a new thing with us--having us to walk through the book of Revelation at the end of the year.  This revelation is showing us what we are to be focused on, not the purchase of gifts, running up credit cards and being stressed out.  We are not of this world, so we are not to be caught up in doing what the world is doing.   John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  Fiveamprayer, we have the gift that keeps on giving.  Jesus came that we would have everlasting life, that we can be washed and redeemed unto the Father.  That is a gift greater than all of the gold and diamonds in the world!!!  Are we collecting heavenly treasures or the ones that will rust and be eaten through by the moths?!  Hold on the to the reason for the season!  Rejoice with the angels--Luke 2:13-14 13) And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,  14) Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
We have a new mindset--2011 doesn't look the same, a Savior is born, thank You for the revelation of Jesus Christ!  He is the best gift of all, the gift that keeps on giving!  He calls us favored and blessed, as we unwrap this perfect gift we find that there is power in His name and in the blood He shed for us!!  Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.  It is not about the presents under the trees but about the presence of the only Begotten of God!  He came that we would have life more abundantly!  He who walked among us, died  and rose after three days and sits at the right hand of the Father.  Hold on to this gift!!  This gift won't stop giving until we are filled up and overflowing with abundance.  He gives us peace that surpasses all understanding, joy unspeakable, He is our keeper late in the midnight hour.  Jesus is the only gift that keeps on giving, directing, protecting us.  He is the reason for the season!  Come, let us adore Him!  Worship Him in beauty of holiness!  1 Chronicles 16:29-30  29) Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. 30) Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.  Fiveamprayer, let us worship Him, Emmanuel!  The only gift that is omnipresent, and omnipotent!  This gift will never leave nor forsake us!  It keeps on giving!!  Fill us Lord with Your Holy Spirit!  Thank You Lord for this Revelation of Jesus Christ!  For showing us who the Father really is!  It is all about Christ!  Not going into debt or being stressed out about buying gifts.  Jesus is the reason for the season.  Teach your children the real meaning of Christmas!  There is a reason why Christmas is on Sunday, this year! Come and worship Him the Lord for His perfect gift!  The one and only gift that keeps on giving.  And oh what a gift He is!!  For God so loved us that He gave His only Son.  This gift will keep you when, others are going crazy.  This gift will show up to reconcile marriages, to redeem the lost, to grant favor in your finances--favor keeps on spending.  Give me Jesus!  That is all that I want!  All that I need!  There is nobody like Him.  No substitute for the Holy Son of our Lord!  Thank You for this Revelation of Jesus Christ!!  Joy to the world, the Lord has come.  Hallelujah!  The churches are set on fire!  Christ has been born and there is no other gift that can compare!!    We serve the God who makes the impossible, possible!  He shows up right on time and not lacking in anything.  The gift that keeps on giving that is doing a new thing.  Look at the gift that you have already been given, the gift that keeps on giving, everlasting life.  Don't get caught up in all of those other things.  Jesus is the reason for the season!  Look at who God used, Mary to bring forth this great gift unto the world.  Without Jesus coming we would still be lost.  Thank You Lord sending us a Savior!  Of revealing how important He is to our lives and how we are learning more and more about Him and You!  Thank You Lord the scales have fallen off our our eyes!   You sent the word, wrapped in flesh, delivered by Mary to be wrapped in swaddling clothes to lie in a manager!  Hallelujah God!  Joy to the world, the Lord has come!  Let Earth receive Her King!  We lift up fiveamprayer for revelation of Jesus Christ, we are not of this world, we are citizens of heaven.  We lift up prayer requests, those known and unknown, have them to seek Your face and Your glory!  We ask for forgiveness for being caught up in the season as the world sees it.  We know and have been taught better.  That it is a celebration of the Savior being born unto us!  The Amen entering the world, to save us!  Thank You for forgiving us with no condemnation, casting our sins into the sea--remembered no more.  We ask that You teach us how to forgive like You, Lord--that our prayers are not hindered.  The gift that keeps on giving, God said make another request.

We seal this prayer in His precious blood: 1 Chronicles 4:10
And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Welcome to the overflow...

Make another request, fiveamprayer, not a Christmas list.  God granted that which you have requested.  Joy to the world!  The joy of the Lord is our strength.  You got a gift like that under your tree?!  Certainly not!!  A gift that anchors your soul?  Hold on to this word!  He is the same yesterday, today and forever!  He gives us salvation for free, those other 'gifts' cost money.  Thank You for the obedience of Rev. Christine Duncan for walking through the book of Revelation.  We must keep walking in His word.  Only God can do a bible study at 5 am in the morning!  God has given us a great gift!  Thank You for using Your vessel, fill and restore her, Lord.  Thank You for the gift that You have given, to fiveamprayer.  Continue to pray for Rev. Duncan.  Remember that Jesus is the reason for the season, the gift that keeps on giving!  The scales should be off of your eyes.  As Jesus said, let them who have ears, let them hear.  Jesus is the reason for the season!  We should be excited about going into Christmas this year!  Yea and Amen! Have a blessed day!

Ephesus, Can We See Us?

John 10:27-29; 1 Peter 2:19; James 1:12;Proverbs 16:7, 24:16; Matthew 16:18; Genesis 22:17; Revelation 2

We are walking in today: Ephesus, Can We See Us?

We begin with the revelation of Jesus Christ.  The sovereign Christ is described by John in his vision.  The first thing John saw was the lamp stands(the church) and Christ standing strong in the midst of the churches, embracing them.  John 10:27-29 27 ) My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28) And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29) My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.  The letters to the churches are history not a mystery.  If we fail to know history, we are destined to repeat it!!  We understand God to be a God of order.  In light of the structure of the book and recognizing it as a plan, authored by God.  1) The first order of business was to set the precedence of God’s Authority.  2) To set precedence that the same power is in the hands of His Son, the Redeemer.  3) And the final order of business is to address the Church.  There are seven distinct periods in history.  The 1st Period,  Revelation 2:1-7 the church of Ephesus:  Loving Him, less.   Americans, for all their religiosity, are suspicious of those who seem "so heavenly minded that they are no earthly good," since they have traditionally valued consistency, stability and hard work.  And yet these values are the first ones to emerge in the book of Revelation, specifically in the message to Ephesus!  The seven churches in general were considered outstanding churches in that day. The area of the Roman empire was likely the most important part of the Roman empire during that era.  The churches were sea side with ports of high business traffic.  Ephesus was a civilization of the Asia Minor west coast of Turkey.  Resembling that of Southern California, only without smog.  This land is extremely rich.  Amphitheatres, statues, museums, a glorious place, an environment surrounded by grandeur.   Yet, as is common in our lives where there is plenty, likewise is the lively vicarious living in the population.  The Ephesus community was grossly inundated in the practice of idolatry and sexual immorality.   The Greek mythology goes hand in hand in Rome, in the area of Ephesus in that time.   The Greek goddess, Diana the sex god was greatly worshipped, who later appears as Sybil as well.  This is where Paul had his greatest ministry the gospel was sounded with a mighty roar from Ephesus!    No not everyone turned to Christ but everyone heard about it.  It is recorded as one of the greatest of what we would call, revival in that area.  For three years Paul made Ephesus his home (Acts 20:31), as well as his base for evangelizing the entire Asian province (Acts 19:10). Paul wrote a letter designated in some ancient manuscripts as a letter to "the saints in Ephesus" (Ephesians 1:2) and in others without reference to a specific location The apostle Paul found there a group that had already believed in Jesus but knew only John the Baptist's baptism (Acts 19:1-7).  God says I know of your works--1. rejecting evil; 2. exercised great patience; 3. commended in their labor; 4. tested false apostles; 5. perseverance (not become weary).  We can and will become weary in the work, but never in the Lord!!  The church of Ephesus proved to be good worker bees--that get the job done quite efficiently, huh?   Yet, much like Martha, did not opt for the good part, getting to know Jesus and loving Him.  You work so hard but have no relationship with ME!  No church reached such a high spiritual level as this church did, but they left their, First Love. Remember, repent and overcome--as Christ has overcome.  The Church of Smyrna-Persecuted for righteousness sake. This letter in Revelation 2:8-11, another plain case, we would likely love to add some mystery to is the letter to the church of Smyrna.  Smyrna the martyred church, the church that died for Him--it means they truly suffered greatly.  This city is still standing as Ismere now and has always been.  He says, “I know you suffer in your poverty."  Jesus stated that they were in poverty in this temporal world, but rich in the eternal.  In addition this is one of the few cities which is still in existence today.  The city of Philadelphia is also still standing--all the others are in ruins.  Smyrna and Philadelphia these are two churches Jesus presented no complaint.  And Christians are still persecuted over there in Turkey to this day.  The city covers period of 100A.D.-314 A.D., the death of John to Constantine--ending the persecution of Christians.  The leaders of the church were first killed at the beginning.   This letter identifies Christ as, the First and Last who died and became alive.  Jesus holds the final disposition of all things.  The persecuted believers need to know this.  The Lord Jesus reaches back and takes out of the vision one of the descriptions that is said about Him and applies it to each church.  He identifies with those who were martyrs, comforting them that He was triumphant over death.   This speaks of the death and resurrection of Christ.  This was severely important to state during that time period in history--as it is estimated that there were approximately 5 million that died for Christ during this period.  Now He says, "I know your works and tribulation and poverty but thou are rich."   Fear nothing, multitudes went to their death praising God.   The Devil or Satan is responsible for the suffering of the saints, not Jesus or God.  But if you do endure--1 Peter 2:19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.  James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.  You will get something that no one else will receive except those in your group, the Crown of Life, what a glorious thing!  As D. L. Moody said, "born once die twice, born twice die once."  This is a promise to believers only.  The Church of Pergamos, Revelation 2:12-17 12) And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; 13) I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. 14) But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. The Church of Thyatira, Revelation 2:18-24 18) And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; 19) I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. 20) Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21) And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 22) Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds 23) And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. 24) But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.  Take some time to read the book of Revelation this weekend to make ready for our continued walk in this book next week!

I am the church!  Thank You God--the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, for bringing us these revelations this week!  Our God is so mighty and awesome!!  He is peeling back layers for us to know more and more about Him!!  We are seeing His face!  God is coming back for a church without spot or wrinkle.  A church that is steadfast and abiding in His word.  Having done all to stand, stand therefore!  Thank You that our eyes don't see Your word the same way!!  When you walk into church, it should be on fire!  Because we are the church!  Fill us with the Holy Ghost fire, Lord!  You are our source!  Thank You for making a way out of no way, a long time ago.  A way for us to be redeemed back to You, Father.  Your ways are not our ways, nor our thoughts like Your thoughts!  You let us know that without faith it is impossible to please You.  Lord we want You to be pleased with us!  Proverbs 16:7 When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.  Thank You God for revelation in our marriages, our jobs, and ourselves!  We are the church!  Hold on, and trust in His unchanging word.  It is He who gave His only begotten Son, that we would not perish, but have everlasting life!  God is doing a new thing, shall ye not know it?!  Get a revelation in this time and season!  God told us that 2011 is our year of abundance then He comes to put a seal on it with walking through the book of Revelation in the last month of the year!!    He is bringing us out, into our new territory!  Praise Him!  He is surrounding and teaching us His ways.  Thank You for revealing to us that we are the church!   We must repent and return to our first love.  Proverbs 24:16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.  So get back up, fiveamprayer, rise up again!!  Don't be like the wicked and fall into mischief!  We lift up fiveamprayer, this morning, have us to walk in this new revelation!!  We are already on fire, last week's weekend meditation was, Holy Ghost fire!  We are asking for Your Holy Ghost fire to fall on Your houses this Sunday--For His Glory, Life by Design, and Absolute Word.  God is coming back for a church--you are the church!  God send Your fire on all the houses of worship, open in Your name!  We ask for forgiveness for not acting like God's church.  He is doing a new thing!  Now that we have a revelation, walk no more in confusion and fear.  Thank You for forgiving us, casting our sins as far as the east is from the west, remembered no more.  Teach us how to forgive others, so that we are forgiven and our prayers are not hindered!  We are the church, it starts with us!

Oh come on and get up this morning!  You should have some fire burning on the inside of you!  A new revelation to walk in, this season!!  The best is yet to come!!  Glory to Your name!  Nobody but God can do this!!  Hold on to the revelation!!  The devil wants us to be confused.  Where do you stand!?  Who is on the Lord's side?
Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  Genesis 22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies.  We are the seed of Abraham and co-heirs with Christ!  God is for us, so what can stand against us?!  You are the church, do something!!  Open up your mouth and give Him praise!  Lift up His word in all situations!  Are you still praying without ceasing?!  Are you praying and not fainting?!  This all comes down to relationship--are you spending time with God?  In His word, sitting at His feet?  He is the same God that promised to never leave nor forsake you.  You have a revelation on what the word says.  Bless the Lord at all times, that His praises shall continually be in my mouth!  Let us magnify and exalt the name of the Lord together!  When you go to church on Sunday, that entire row should be on fire!!  Set some stuff on fire--you are the church!  Fiveamprayer has a revelation, we are the church, the blinded eyes now see!  Thank You Lord for this weekend meditation!  I am the church.  Be prepared for church, start your worship and praise at home, pray for your pastors to preach a life changing word!  Give Him praise, stop looking around at others.  And the church says, "amen!"  Visit us on facebook and take time out to read the scriptures for yourself today!  Have a supernatural weekend!  We are the church!  It all starts with you!

We know that Jesus did not know of His Revelation while He walked this earth.  (Revelation 1:1)  We know there is no need to fear this book as it simply reveals the Savior in His glory, dominion and power.  The gospel reveals the walk of Jesus Christ as a lowly humble servant with the ability to call legions of angels but sacrificed as a form of His love to us.  We know the promise of His return with all power in His hand.  We know what the seven spirits before God’s throne are:  Spirit of the Lord, wisdom, understanding, counsel, knowledge, power and the fear of the Lord.  We know the seven lampstands represent the 7 churches.  We know the location of the churches that were originally addressed, are located in our modern day Turkey.  We know the seven stars are the pastors or messengers of the churches.  The Possession of Jesus Christ:  the church (He stands in the midst of the lamp stand).  In Chapters 2 and 3, Jesus gives word to His churches, the possession of Jesus Christ.  The church, which is His body, which He loves and gave to Himself for and the believers in it which the Father gave to Him.  Jesus thanked the Lord for them, in John 17.  Up to chapter 4 of Revelation, the Great white throne judgment--the church is not mentioned onetime.  We commonly ask where is the church.  Well, where was it when John saw it in His vision?   It is His possession, and it resides with Him.  I am coming back for a church without spot or blemish.  These seven letters have a threefold message of interpretation and application to receive  1) contemporary meaning-direct message to the local churches of John's day.  There is a message that is obvious when you see the ruins of those churches.  John was writing letters to the churches--he knew the local condition.  2) The composite:  each one is a composite picture of the church.  That means that there is something that is applicable to all churches, in all ages, in each message to each individual church.  You can get a message for yourself and your church personally.  3) The chronological:  Here you are giving the panoramic history of the church from the upper room to the upper air.  The church of Ephesus the apostolic church--the church at its best.  Then there is the church of Laodicea, represents the apostate church, this one has almost been fulfilled.  Now the Lord will follow a definite  pattern of addressing His church.  This is why it is such an easy book to understand.  Because it is here you will find the best lay out and order to follow.  Having a definite format used in each one of the letters to the churches.  The glory of the Lord is addressed in each letter, revealing the glorified Christ.  The letter is addressed to the angel of the church, begins by stating to each He knows thy works.  He gives a comment of commendation and then a word of condemnation.

Hallelujah!  Thank You God!!  I am an overcomer!  Overcome defined in the Hebrew from Numbers 13:30--to prevail, overcome, endure, have power, be able, to gain or accomplish, be able to endure, be able to reach; to prevail, prevail over or against, overcome, be victor; to have ability, have strength.  In the Greek, from Revelation 2:7--to conquer, to carry off the victory, come off victorious; of Christ, victorious over all His foes; of Christians, that hold fast their faith even unto death against the power of their foes, and temptations and persecutions; when one is arraigned or goes to law, to win the case, maintain one's cause.  We have learned that Christ is the Lawmaker, on yesterday.  We must have a position of Job in chapter 13 verse 15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. We are more than overcomers!!  We are more than conquerors!  Because of who the Father is, we come to give You glory and honor.  We continue to sit at Your feet.  You have lead us to overcome in 2011.  We don't care what the world is saying about a recession or depression--we are not of this world!!  We have got a revelation of who Christ is!  We don't care what the enemy would bring against us, we shall overcome--in our finances, in our marriages, and families.  We are pressed on every side, but we know who has the power and is able to deliver us out, in victory!!  We are overcomers because of our Father!  Oh what a sacrifice to press into that secret place, to stand and continue to stand on His word!!  NO FEAR, fiveamprayer--we shall overcome, our Father said so!  We know that every word that God speaks will come to pass.  Will you line up with His true, unfailing, eternal word?!  Will we fail, by not following where He is leading us?!  The joy of the Lord is our strength!  We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the words of our testimony!  Our God is more than able!  All things are working together for our good!  We are coming out and crossing over, into our promised land!!  The Lord is making us better, wiser and stronger!  Continue to study, read, rehearse, meditate on His word!  It is life, peace, answers, comfort, encouragement--everything that you need!  We have to really come to know these scriptures in our life!  Greater is He that is in me, than he that in in this world!  Be transformed by the renewing of your mind!  Fiveamprayer, we overcome because of the Lord!  Hold on, don't back down, don't turn around.  You may bend but you won't break.  Sit at the feet of Jesus--choose the good part, it won't be taken away(Luke 10:39-42).   Get a revelation, that our Father, supplies all of our needs!  That if we seek Him we shall find Him.  We are getting a revelation of who God is.  Thank You Lord, for teaching us!!   Thank You for letting us know that we are overcomers--in all areas, marriages, children and finances.  Christ has already overcome the world and we are in Him and He in us!(John 15:5, 1 John 3:24)   We overcome in every situation--come hell or high water!!   It is the Lord who brings us out!  We lift up prayer requests those known and unknown.  We lift up Cheryl for healing, she will overcome and have complete healing in her body.  By His stripes she is already healed!  He has made us more than overcomers, more than conquerors.  We come to repent for every thought that we had against You.  2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.  We are to follow You and to get it right!  We are the church, not the building or the structures--us, the flesh and blood that was purchased on Calvary by the only Begotten.  This church is built on a chief cornerstone--Ephesians 2:20-21 20) And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;  21) In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord.  You brought us through a revival to give us the Holy Ghost fire, last week.  Hallelujah Lord!!  Then this week, the fear is being shattered, we are taking off those self-imposed restrictions!!  No more hiding and avoiding.  Go look and see for yourself.  No more second-hand experiences, try God for yourself!!  O taste and see that the Lord is good!!    Try Him, He is not a man that He should lie nor of this world that He is not able to deliver and uphold all that He has ever spoken!!  Time out for wanting the answers and going to faulty places that cause more problems and issues!!  Go to the Source of all things and find a sure word, from the sure nail!!    Thank You Lord!!  Hallellujah!!  Praise Him!!  He is worthy!!  Thank You Jesus!!  In every struggle, trial, tribulation, He says we overcome!    Thank You Lord, for sending a word and sending the word made flesh that we are redeemed unto You!  Fiveamprayer, we shall overcome!!  Forgive us Lord, for being in fear and not reverence of the Almighty!  The greatness of the great I AM!  Thank You for forgiving us and casting our sins into the sea to be remembered no more!  God has made us overcomers!!

I am a overcomer!!  More than a conqueror, able to with stand anything that the world would bring!  Why, because we rest, abide and rely on our Savior and King!!  Praise Him!!  He is worthy!  Greater is He that is in us, than he that is in this world!!  That is why we overcome, because of who is on the inside of us!  It is nothing that we could do, on our own--without Him!  He is our everything!!  Hallelujah God!  Stop letting the enemy bind you up in your finances, your marriages and your mind!!  God has and is sending a word to set His churches on fire for Him and His work--kingdom building!  Thank You Lord for sending the fire, lukewarm no more!!  All You Lord, none of us!!  We want, need and crave more of You, Father!!  It is You, Lord that supplies all of our needs and cares for us, that is why we can cast our cares on You!!  Glory!!  It is the Lord, that supplies all of our needs, no matter what CNN has to say or 9news--He makes a way out of no way.  It is the Lord that makes the crooked places straight.  Keep walking fiveamprayer--we are to walk by faith and not by sight!  We overcome in this battle!!  Lord rise up and let Your enemies be scattered!  We have been given the power to speak a word--life or death.  He creates the fruit of our lips--Hallelujah God!!  We must take the time out to consider and review what we utter, it is not just a random conversation nor mumblings.  Those words are taking flight and will bear fruit!!  Whether good or bad you determine by what you speak!!  Hallelujah God, it is victory time!!   He is coming back for a church without spot or wrinkle(Ephesians 5:27).  Praise Him, anyhow!!  Bless the Lord at all times!  Let our response be, "nevertheless, Thy will be done!!"  We are to repent and turn from wicked ways--2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.  Fiveamprayer, we are to pray, without ceasing.  Keep on pushing and pressing into the Father, like the woman with the issue of blood, in spite of the correct ways or protocols--seek Him in humility and thirst.  Knowing that He is far above and well able and willing to cover, protect and bless you!  He is looking for His church.  We are His church!!  It starts with you!  I am an overcomer!!  That truth has to be in your very spirit, and being.  Speak those words out of your mouth!!  "I am an overcomer!"  Thank You God!  You have set me free and made me an overcomer!  The enemy is fleeing, he can't bring anything against us!  We have overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the words of our testimony.  Take the time out to look up these scriptures for yourself!  You are the church, that God is coming back for!  How can it be that there are believers walking around in depression and confusion?!  People who open up the word of God and still are cast down and without direction?  Really set aside time to read the word and ask God to show you what it means.  How it applies to your life.  Pick your head up, you have already overcome by the blood and He who resides in you, the hope of glory!  Yea and Amen!!  Have a blessed day!

Revelation of Jesus Christ, 1:5-20

Revelation 1:5-20; Philippians 2 ; Zechariah 12:10; 4:1-6; John 14:9, 8:36; Psalm 121:1-2; 2 Timothy 1:7; Mark 8:23-25; Proverbs 8:17; Isaiah 49:16

We are walking in today:  Revelation of Jesus Christ, 1:5-20

Jesus, the beginning and the end of the book: John the writer of the book.
Revelation1:5
And from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, [and] the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.  Who He--Jesus is:  The faithful witness--what he says is TRUE (Basic Reality), The first begotten of the Dead (Resurrection), First to step into the glorified body--The Life Giver, The Prince and Ruler of the Kings of the Earth--the Great Lawmaker.  What He--Jesus does: 1. He loves us; 2. He washes us; 3. Frees us with the price of His own blood. He is our Completeness.  He is, it is finished!  Basic Reality, He Loves Us.  The Life-giver, He washes Us.  The Lawmaker, frees us with the price of His blood.  Revelations 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.  The Prince and the Ruler of the Kings of the earth as stated in the 5th verse is referring to us.  Now this is a good place to give Him glory for His Dominion is forever and ever.  Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they [also] which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.  In the book of Philippians chapter 2, it states that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth;  Take some time out and read the whole chapter for yourself.  Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for [his] only [son], and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for [his] firstborn.  When He appears those who pierced Him shall look upon Him and mourn because of Him.  Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.  The emphasis is made as a constant reminder that God is sovereign and eternal.  Several times John applied the same title used of the Father also to Christ.   He is.  John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?  The symbolism is used here to express and reveal the great love and care God has for us, the desire He has for us to overcome, the desire God has to save us and the character of a Father to protect us.  Those who love Him will find Him because they will seek Him and it is His desire to be found.  Revelation 1:9 I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.   Revelation 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, saying, I am Alpha and the Omega, The First and the Last.”  In the current time the Roman empire maintains mindsets which were baffled by John’s life despite attempts of destruction by Roman authorities.  When the Roman Empire shifted authority, with Caesar no longer as ruler and knowing of the failed attempts made on John’s life--John was sent into exile.  In Rev. 1:10 On Sunday, John was in the Spirit.  He was worshipping, allowing His mind in His (Jesus’) glory and majesty to worship.  This expression may be known as a praise and meditation on the goodness of the Lord.  John was the one who wrote to us that in order to worship God you must do so in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24).  Revelation 1:11 Saying, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, and , “What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia. To Ephesus to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira to Sardis to Philadelphia, and Laodecia.  Revelation 1:12 Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lamp stands, and in the midst of the seven lamp stands One like the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band.  Cross referenced:  You have seen this before--Zechariah 4:1-6 (please read).  Now the angel who talked with me came back and wakened me as a man who is wakened out of his sleep. And he said to me, “What do you see?”   So I said, I am looking, and there is a lamp stand of solid gold with a bowl on top of it. And on the stand seven lamps with seven pipes to the seven lamps.  These were the tabernacle(church) lamp stands which were to be tended by a priest from evening to morning serving as a perpetual light in the otherwise dark tabernacle(church).  When we look at the positioning of Jesus between the churches or the lamp stands in Rev. 1:12 He represents the priest eternal (evening to morning) serving as a perpetual light (the light of the world).  The 7 lamp stands represent the seven churches and Jesus stands among them watching over to attend and care for them.  Thus, revealing the importance of the message to John for us the church.  The 7 stars (ironically) represent the messenger of the churches.  Also you will see the reference often made to the angels of the church throughout the letters addressing the churches.  The messenger or angels of the churches are the pastors or overseers of the churches.   Please understand the term messenger does not limit the address to the pastor, it directs these messages to the fivefold ministry as each are a type of messenger of Jesus Christ.  It is upon the receipt of the knowledge Peter discovers, and the way in which he discovers it that Jesus identifies as a method Jesus will use (revelation of Himself) to build His church.  Therefore, do not get stuck on the idea of a building.  Yet, instead the concentration should be placed on the process of building--your knowledge of who Christ is, and building yourself up on your most Holy faith (Jude 1:20).  Peter when he received the revelation of who Jesus was is when Jesus informed Him that it is that rock upon which He will build His church.  The church is being built, a building not made by hands, Selah.  The disciples never had one and they were truly his messengers.

Hallelujah God!  What a mighty God we serve!!!  He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.  He went to hell and took back the keys!
John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.  Lord, we just want a closer walk with You!  We have been asking for more and more of You.  Psalm 121:1-2 1) I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2) My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.  As we look at the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ, we see He is truly the Alpha and Omega the Beginning and the End.  He lets us know that His grace is sufficient.  That He is still on the throne--still in control.  We want more of You and less of us!  We are not seeking the things, but Your presence!  He is sealing this year of abundance with the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ!  He is answering us, His chosen.  Thank You Lord for who You are!!  There is no God like You!!  No more mysteries, we can see clearly now because of Your amazing grace, it has been revealed!!  He is bringing us out and over--out of that lie of lack of knowledge into His abundance of understanding!!  Thank You Jesus for the blood!  He is our keeper, in all tribulations.  He is the Author and Finisher of our faith!  Keep looking to Him--no matter what comes, fiveamprayer!!  We can walk in 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  Lord, we lift up Your vessel, Rev. Christine Duncan for all that she has poured out.  If we had 10,000 tongues we could not thank You enough!  For Your mercy and grace!  Thanks unto You, for all that You are doing in our lives and revealing to us!  You are an awesome God!!  You are amazing God!  You keep us in awe of You!!  Thank You Lord for filling us with Your word and Spirit!  Like the blind man, in Mark 8:23-25 23) And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.  24) And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.  25) After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.  Thank You God for giving us a second touch to see things clearly!!  No more fear or avoidance of the this book, the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ!!  God is telling, fiveamprayer to wash again, what do you see?!  He is I AM, Who Is, Was and Will Be, Jehovah Jireh, Christ, the Messiah!  You have got to see this for yourself!!  Shout glory to His name!!  There is no god, like our God!!!  More of You, Lord and less of us!  We desire to be with You.  Fiveamprayer is seeking You and Your righteous ways!!  Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.  Thank You God for walking us through this book, the Revelation of Jesus Christ!  He is our Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last.  Why were we worried?  He is the way out of no way!  A shelter in a time of storm--hallelujah!  Thank You for the revelation about the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ!  That You would teach us and make everything plain!!  We must worship You, in spirit and in truth!  It is not by power nor might but by His Spirit!!  The blood looks so different now!!  Hallelujah God!  He did it for me!!  This is personal, that He opened my blinded eyes, opened up my ears to hear His word, increase my knowledge and understanding of His word!!  Thank You God!!  Isaiah 49:16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.  All sufficiency lies in Him!!  After walking through this book, we will never be the same!!  Thank You Lord!!  Praise Your holy name!!  God is doing a new thing, have us to walk in humility, Lord!  We lift up prayer requests, those known and unknown.  We come asking for forgiveness, sometimes we walk in fear but we have not been given the spirit of fear--it is not even in our DNA!!  Walking through the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ, we can truly shake off this fear thing and hold on to the sound mind!!  Be in the word daily, fiveamprayer, let the scriptures renew your mind!!

We want more of You God!!  More and more and more!!  Fill us, Lord until we want no more!  Hallelujah God!  Thank You for who You are!  He came that we would have life more abundantly!!  The abundant life includes more and more of Him, and knowledge, wisdom and understanding!  The Revelation of Jesus Christ, who is the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last.  No longer a mystery, we can do all things through Him!  Greater is He that is in us, than he that is in this world!  We have a new revelation of who we are!  We are who we are because of of heavenly Father!!  Give us more of You God!  Keep showing up mighty on this line and revealing more and more of You, to us!  The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want!  In this season of 2011, tell the devil, the Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want!!   Cast down that fear and lies of lack!!!  Thank You, Lord, You are the restorer of our souls.  Led us Lord in the paths of righteousness for Your namesake!  Pray for Rev. Christine Duncan, as she is continuing to prepare on this teaching of the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ.  Visit us on facebook, have a blessed day!

Revelation Of Weapon Of Strength.

Revelation 1:1; 2 Peter 3:8-9; 2 Timothy 1:7; Ecclesiastes 12:13; Revelation 1:2, 3, 4; Luke 9:20; Isaiah 11:2; Hosea 4:6

We are walking in today:  Revelation Of  Weapon Of Strength.

Yesterday we walked in Luke 21:36, concentrating on not being afraid of the book of Revelation.  We have no need to be fearful.  I would have you to know that there is many different symbols in this book.  Many you may have heard of, the 7 seals, the 7 churches, there is a theme of 7 in this book.  Just to add to your comfort level as we walk through this book, the number 7 means completion.  We can walk in the power and knowledge of knowing that God is completing a work in us.  To God be the glory!  Which lines up with scripture.  Because He is the Author and Finisher of our faith!  He would not have us ignorant or walking around with only half of His word!!  To God be the glory!  This book, the Revelation of Jesus Christ, is a weapon of strength!
How do we wage a good warfare?  Good warfare is waged by possessing the knowledge of Christ which builds faith in Christ.  We encourage you to study to show thyself approved.  John the disciple who Jesus loved, and was extremely close to him was used by the Lord to author 5 books.  John wrote the Gospel that we might believe that Jesus is the Christ.   John also wrote the 1 John, 2 John & 3 John epistles that we might know that we have eternal life.  John wrote Revelation that we might be ready to receive it.  The Revelation of Jesus Christ is what they needed in that day and what we need today!  The book of Revelation is not primarily to give us enlightenment about prophecy--if you study this book to give enlightenment about prophecy, you may struggle with it.  The primary purpose of Revelation is to give enlightenment, for us to encounter Jesus personally.  This is revealed to us in the first verse of the first chapter, Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John.   When we focus on the person of Christ that is when the words of prophecy come together. This is the revelation which was given to Him (Jesus) from God when? After He died, rose and ascended to the right hand of God the Father Almighty. (I encourage you to Selah).  Now we are at the time in history that almost every day we see some news on CNN where there is something that relates directly to bible prophecy a) the Middle East is constantly in the news b) Russian events causing everyone to wonder what happens.   All these events the bible speaks about including Europe and the unification of that continent.  All of these issues, we will be looking at in this study.   Please Read,  2 Peter chapter 3.  2 Peter 3:8-9 8) But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  With the Lord it is a whole different economy when it comes to time.  1000 years is as a day.  1 year is like a minute.  It is time to get a deeper understanding of His glory and His greatness to have a greater intimacy with the Lord personally.  The book is not primarily to enlighten us about prophecy but that we might encounter Jesus with a greater intimacy.  If we can embrace the mindset as we approach this book that much like those who received this letter initially, in that time 96 A.D., a time when Christians suffered greatly the harshest persecution and millions were dying to hold fast to this truth we will say:  I need to have a revelation of You, Lord.  I want to be closer to You, Jesus.  I want to learn about You, Lord.  Then all the seven spirits which sit before God will manifest in our spirits also.  1) The Spirit of the Lord, A Rod out of the Stem of Jesse (House of David), A branch that grew out his roots- The Son of David-Jesus 2) The Spirit of Wisdom 3) The Spirit of Understanding 4) The Spirit of counsel 5) The Spirit of Power 6) The Spirit of Knowledge 7) The Spirit the fear of the Lord.  The seventh spirit is not in contradiction of 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  This is a spirit we walk in as a reverential fear of the One with all power.   Solomon the wisest man clearly expresses it as the complete duty of man in Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.  Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto Him, to shew unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified(symbolic code) [it] by his angel unto his servant John.  When you are informed of something ahead of time it is for your benefit.  So we see the scripture:  God will not have us ignorant of Satan’s devices.  Revelation 1:2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.  John was the author and final member remaining of the apostolic team who walked with Jesus.  John during this time period had been arrested and placed in a cauldron of boiling oil by the Roman ruler at the time Caesar.  Yet, the hand of God was upon him and John did not die.  The apostle of Love, which never fails and surely did not fail him, in that situation.  John is approximately 100 years of age.  After his retrieval from what should have been his demise, leadership decided to exile John to the island of Patmos since obviously he was difficult to kill.  Revelation 1:3 Blessed [is] he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time [is] at hand.  There is a promise of blessing when we read, hear the true prophecy of Jesus and keep the things we have received.  According to our scripture we read already, we know that God is not slack toward His promises--2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  Revelation 1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne.  Asia, is now known as modern day Turkey.  This scripture is addressing of the 7 churches in Turkey.  Why? The guidance to the Kingdom, is the character of God.  We should have a good grasp on the book of Joshua (which means Yashewa--Jesus) who led the people into the land to establish the Kingdom.)  The mere exercise to walk around the wall of Jericho, 7 times carrying the ark was illegal according to the Jewish customs.  Therefore God, even then was doing something new--outside of the customs and practices of the culture.   All to paint the picture of the coming Kingdom.  Likewise when we begin to unfold the revelation of Jesus Christ we too will see the picture being completed for all of us, as it finally was for Jesus.  Let’s not forget this is a deeper revelation about Jesus and it will present completeness in our spiritual maturity and daily walk.  Whatever you have been struggling with, or feel unsettled about as it relates to your relationship with Jesus will be made peaceful and full of grace after this study. The 7 churches listed represent seven epics in church history.  These seven represent the historic spiritual conditions and experiences recognized in the church up until the coming of Jesus.  This letter continues to unfold the revelation received by Peter where Jesus asked Peter in Luke 9:20 He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.  It is here we see the first building block of the church set in place with knowing who Jesus was.  As Jesus goes on to point out to Peter and now to each of us as we study, “flesh and blood has not revealed such knowledge unto you.” (Matthew 16:17)  Jesus now sends notice to the 7 churches that have been built upon the revelation received by Peter who stood on Christ, the solid Rock.  Jesus relays the message of Grace and Peace from God.  This Greek greeting identified grace as a thing of beauty and favor.   The Hebrew greeting of ‘peace’ is the root of the word used here which represents the peace that the Father declares as His eternal characteristic extended to you for assurance of His love and adoration. Seven is the number of completeness and is the theme for the book of Revelation as previously stated.  It completes the 66 books of the bible; it completes the knowledge as it concerns the revealing of Christ.  Revelation also completes the expectation of the church and identifies the 7 spirits which reside with the Father.  The Father wants us certain that we have access to all He has to offer when we seek Him and we lay at His feet.  You can see the seven spirits in the presence of God in, Isaiah 11:2  And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.  Take the time to read these scriptures for yourself.

We thank You, Lord for this revelation of strength.  We are holding on to Your strength.  The joy of Lord is our strength!!  As we walk through the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ--it reveals, that God wants us to retain His word.  Lord have fiveamprayer, really take hold of this word, not letting go nor setting it down!!    Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.  We lift up fiveamprayer, to You Lord, have us all to walk with all wisdom, knowledge and understanding of Your word.  We want more of You and less of us!!  We lift up Rev. Christine Duncan, as she walks through the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ, thank You for lining up our spirits, in Your word.  You told us that 2011 is our year of abundance,  and it has been--receiving more wisdom, knowledge and understanding of Your word.  Then You close out this year in the month of December, walking through the last book of the Bible!  Closing out the year for fiveamprayer in the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ.  You are the God who is, was and is to come--the same yesterday, today and forever!!   Fiveamprayer, hold on to what your learn about this book!!  God would not have us be ignorant of satan's devices.  He is revealing His peace and understanding to us--showing us that His grace is sufficient!!  Hold on a little while longer to God--He is revealing all of the mysteries--the unseen, seen.  Hallelujah! We lift up fiveamprayer,  have them to hold on to the revelation--the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy.  We lift up prayer requests, those known and unknown.  We lift up Cheryl for healing.  We know that by His stripes, she was healed, We thank You for restoring her health, for You are the Great Physician.   We come to ask for forgiveness, Lord.  For when You forgive it is cast as far as the east is from the west--remembered no more.  Teach us how to forgive others so that we are forgiven and our prayers not hindered.

Prepare Your Heart For Revelation.

2 Timothy 1:7-8; James 1:5; Luke 21:36; Proverbs 4:7; Genesis 41:32; Revelation 2:2, 2:9, 2:13, 2:19, 3:1, 3:8, 3:15, 21:7; Luke 12:37; Revelation 1:3; 1 Chronicles 4:10

We are walking in today:  Prepare Your Heart For Revelation.

Many times people are apprehensive or uncertain regarding the book of Revelation.  We must take time to prepare our hearts to receive from the Lord.  To see what God has to share with us from the book of Revelation.  The expression of fear, is only reserved for the Lord.
We were not given the spirit of fear.  What spirit are you of when you are afraid of the wisdom of God?  2 Timothy 1:7-8 7) For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 8) Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God.  So we are instructed to be not ashamed nor have the spirit of fear.  We should not be shamed of the testimony of Christ, or the afflictions that come because we believe in Him.  The actual understanding of God's wisdom, is our responsibility to reach for, upon acceptance of Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior.  We are to believe--God give us understanding.  Seek the Father in His word and ask Him to revel the mysteries.  Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.  We are responsible for believing!!  We believe in Christ!!  Jesus, our savior and Lord.  We must seek understanding for what we don't currently understand.  Just like children who are in need of understanding will seek a teacher or parent for the answers, we too must seek our Heavenly Father.  Fiveamprayer, we are to ask the Father--James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.  God is the Author, who else can you ask?!  He is Source--of everything!!  The Holy Spirit is set in place to leads us to all truth, we must study the scriptures--to get to the truth.  We must gain this understanding and to seek Him and meditate on this before we enter into the book of Revelation.  Then we are able to hold to what God has taught us!   Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.  Our Savor, provides us the two pillars that our faith rests on during these end times-- watching and praying.  We are encouraged to to watch--vigilant attention, careful, to overcoming our own nature and constant prayer, praying always that we may be counted worthy; to be able to enter the kingdom of God.  The importance of these two pillars is that they are calling us to scrutinize our lives and to deal with the problems in them.  We are not to note them and complain about them.  Telling brothers and sisters about them.  We have been made overcomers by Christ, who resides on the inside of us.  We must pull on that indwelling Christ--to overcome our problems, issues  and circumstances.  How important is a thing that is mentioned two times--Genesis 41:32 32) And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.  How significant is it, if the Bible mentions 15 times in just one book, the one about the end times, Revelation?  In the end time message, Christ says seven times, I know your works.  We must recognize that God knows the heart of man--that is where the true works are really happening.  That is why Paul so often speaks of circumcision of the heart the cutting back of fluff and fakeness, getting to the true motives.   Look at David, a man after God's own heart, who made many mistakes.  Christ says 7 times I know your works--Revelation 2:2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Revelation 2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. Revelation 2:19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. Revelation 3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.  Revelation 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Revelation 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.  What are your works?  They are simply the results of our efforts in overcoming--our failures and successes.  Jesus knows that level of overcoming.  Then for each church whether a group or attitude, He comments on that effort.  Overcoming is highlighted another seven times in Revelation.  As Christ ends each of His critiques with a promise that begins with, to him who overcomes.  In this preparation before we begin to study, we need to understand that the focus is, for us to overcome.  To do the work and make sure that He knows our work thereby knowing us.  We must prepare our hearts, to prepare the soil of our hearts and minds--to receive so that this will be a blessing to us.  As an exclamation point, Christ  warns us 7 times--a number that signifies completeness, to heed what He says to all of these churches.   To every church that we will encounter and review in going through Revelation, He continues to encourage and warn them.  Christ addresses overcoming a 15th time, in Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.  The promise is made to those who overcome, he who overcomes shall inherit all things.  Then He will be our God and us His son.  Revelation shows us that job one for Christians, is to overcome--especially some one living in the end times, that is certainly us!   This is the message in Luke 21:36 in the new testament, that prepares your heart for the things to come.  We have to overcome to be with Him in God's kingdom.  Salvation itself hinges on our cooperation in overcoming.  In the parable of the ten virgins, demonstrates the importance of overcoming.  The five wise and the five foolish, illustrates the supplies of oil, is the filling of the Holy Spirit.  Where the water represents the power of God, the Holy Spirit to cleanse, the oil represents the power to work, to do good.  The difference between the virgins was their good works.  How much they overcame their selfish human natures by acting in love towards God and man.  Like Christ said several times in Revelation, I know thy works.  Both groups had oil but the foolish virgins did not have enough for the unexpected, long delay.  When they cry out, their lamps were still burning but sputtering and about to go out.  They were not prepared for the long haul, they had not continued to overcome.  So often there are times when we are faced with tests and tasks that seem overwhelming to us.  Why are we not reaching into our spirit, looking towards God?!  Why are we looking to something in the natural to appease, comfort or help us?!  When God has truly given us the supernatural to overcome!  The foolish virgins did not continue in overcoming--enduring until the end.  Their oil, their works, their overcoming--proved to be insufficient for the task.  In this one point they failed and what a foolish failure it was.  Oh my Lord!!  Luke 21:36 emphasizes the importance of watching, Christ makes a specific promise to those at the end who are watching and working it out.  Attending to the issues of life, watching--that is successfully overcoming!!  Luke 12:37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.  Conversely considering, the implication:  Jesus gives a chilling judgment to the virgins who fail to overcome.  That judgement is a concentration for everyone--I do not know you.  Many of us proclaim to know the Lord.  I don't doubt that you do, but do you know Him in every aspect of your life?  Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.  I will leave this first blessing of Revelation in your spirit today.  That is just a prelude to what God is getting ready to do--you must be prepared.  I encourage you to prepare your heart, to concentrate on the word that was stated in your hearing today, to bless your spirit and soul.  To gird you up for certainly a fight--a good fight.  A fight that we want to and have to win!!  The ways of good warfare, we are seeking to do, in studying Revelation.  We must come to understand that this book is strength and a weapon of power!  Even more so, it is an anointing and a blessing that God has placed on our understanding, as the scripture states--in Revelation 1:3.  It serves that the time is near that we all know because we know that word. and by looking around and seeing what is happening.  Because we have been watching--to a certain degree, we know that it can really say, the time is now.  We will continue in Revelation for the rest of this week.  I encourage you to pray to receive understanding and prepare your heart for what to do with what God is sharing with you.  Study and pray over these scriptures.  God wants you ready.  This is a girding up for His saints.  As we go through this word.  Pray that each one of you, receives the blessing, that He placed inside of this book--in reading, hearing and understanding.
Walk in Revelation, look at the times that we are living in!  How the people perish for lack of knowledge.  We are more than overcomers, more than conquerors--because Jesus overcame the world!!  He is our Alpha and Omega!!  Thank you Rev. Christine Duncan, let those who have ears to hear, let them hear!  Prepare to walk through the book of Revelation all of this week.  We are seeking more knowledge, wisdom and understanding of Your word, Lord!  We are coming out of a Holy Ghost revival, we are in a fight!  Be not deceived who the enemy is, we have to fight--unmoveable, abiding in the word of God!

Welcome to the overflow...Come on fiveamprayer, we are to watch and pray to get a revelation from God.  Thank You for Your grace and Your mercy!  He is doing a new thing!  We receive it!  We are ready for more.  They that hunger and thirst for You shall be filled.  Hallelujah God!!   Fill us till we want no more!  We are so excited for what God is gonna teach us this week!  Get ready for this word, prepare your heart!  Visit us on facebook and have a blessed day!
