We find in the Torah how the elements of the tabernacle were to be made.  This included the menorah which from the Greek translation is a candlestick.   This candlestick or menorah is to be made of pure gold that is to be hammered and has a total of 7 lights.  One on the shaft that is the main structure of the menorah and three branched coming out of opposite sides.  Another reason this light would be required in the tabernacle is that there was no access to natural light from the outside that would give light to the priests going about the duties of the ministry in the tabernacle.
The  Torah teaches us Israel is to be a light unto the nations.  Because this was not done, many of the nations did not receive this instruction.  Thus He called out those to go to teach the nations His principles.  This light is illuminated by the testimony of the edah, the witnessing army.  The term sons of light that Paul refers to is the light, the Torah and Torah is light.  It is this light that is to guide every act of our lives.  How is this portrayed as Christians?  A I love Jesus bumper sticker? Attending services regularly? Going out to tell everyone about Jesus being the light of the world?  We have to understand that those who oppose the Torah and uphold Jesus, are not able to actually shine the light of truth outside the Torah.  There can not be a separation of the Word of God made flesh and His word!!  Having only one and disregarding the other still is missing the whole point.  There is an belief by the ancient Hebrew sages that the letters of the Hebrew alef beit must be spoken if not the Earth would be consumed in a fervent heat in the last days.  As we can see now with all of this push back on the return to the original intent and original language.  This light of understanding that we have received is to be shared.  With the Chanukah coming up on the evening of December 16 the 9 light menorah is to observe the miracle of the oil lasting for 8 days while more oil is being prepared.  This observance is to stand against those who would come in to change the practices that Yahweh instructs us to do.  Will we stand up for the right way taught from Elohim above?  Or allow the other culture to wash over you and all that you have been taught?  Fiveamprayer will you be found standing alone according to His purpose and design instead of standing with those who would trample all over Yahweh's word and instruction for us?!  To listen to this teaching again click here.

Unfortunately, Christianity has a poor understanding of the Torah. Due to the early church fathers seeking to divorce every bit of Hebraic culture from practices of the believers in Christ Jesus. This is where the harsh view of the Torah as law stems from.  It is this lack of understanding of His original intent, His purpose and plan for our lives, that we are in this current state.  Confusion, frustration and desires all out of control due to the lack of instruction of how we are to live and relate to one another and to Him.  Because of this view as a harsh, difficult thing, the law of Yahweh has been thrown out much to our detriment.  The absurd idea that the law of Elohim is no longer valid shows how much we do not understand His plan.  He is the King of the universe, all that a king speaks will and must stand.  When a king says a thing it instantly becomes law.  As we can see with king Ahasuerus in the dealing with his first wife, asked the council of the wise men who knew the laws in  Esther 1:10-15 to make sure that which he would set forth or decree that would not conflict with previous laws--for once it is set forth it can not be repelled.  In Mark 6:27-29 with king Herod who gave his word to give up to half of the kingdom for being pleased.  Yet his hands were tied when the request came he did not want to honor it.   Yet he would not go against his own word in his kingdom--that would undermine his own authority.  All that a king speaks is binding and absolute.  The weight of what a earthly king speaks is very weighty so how much more so than the King of kings in all that He speaks?!  We can not truly hold on to the misinformation that the law, of our King is against us and to be disregarded!  Take time to look over the commandments of Elohim, not to be incestuous, not have sex with animals, not to kidnap, not to rape women, not to lie in the court, not to kill with intent to name a few.  These same principles many of us live in our lives daily.  These directions have come to be the basis of many of societal laws or rights of the people to have a productive and peaceful community.  This moral standard is found throughout the world in many cases and upheld by local ordinances and laws for the protection of the people and the benefit of all.  Wow the all-seeing, all-powerful, all-knowing Yahweh's original plans for His creation would net this many benefits that have been duplicated in societies and communities worldwide could this be a clue that this is what we desire and are trying to find with everything else that is going on?  Click here for more on this teaching.

​Fiveamprayer, Yaweh is rising up His people for this time, the remnant.  This has to be fully understood--the Holy Spirit has not replaced the Torah!  Also the Torah is not a replacement for the Holy Spirit.  They work together to direct us in righteous living.  The standard of truth in the Old Testament or Tanakh and the Holy Spirit of the New Testament or the Brit Chadasha have been placed at odds with each other.  The question here is where do both come from?  We are talking about the davar Elohim, the Word of God, the ten utterances of Yahweh and His Holy Spirit, the Comforter who speaks only what was heard the Heavenly Father speak.  Could it be that Elohim's word and Spirit would have opposing tasks?  Could they be against each other and yet have the same origin?  Can Yahweh's word disagree with His Spirit?  The obvious answer to all questions is no, certainly not!  Adonai is not double minded, confused nor unbalanced to argue with Himself!  If the Torah has been replaced how could it be profitable as Paul wrote to Timothy in His letter?  Keep in mind that the Brit Chadasha has not been written yet.  What what Paul advising Timothy to uphold and study that which he knew from his youth?  Does the truth remain true?  Can it change over time?  As the years pass will the truth become new and unrecognizable as the original, as the days pass by?  Is there a warning given about those who change the times or preach on something that Paul did not teach to the early churches?  Was the warning in foreknowledge of this time of misinformation and misunderstanding?  Why would there be cause for warning if it was not possible to become mislead?  To listen to this teaching again click here.

Here in Genesis 20 we have Abraham facing a familiar situation and tells the same lie again! Abraham is the father of faith and known as a righteous man by Yahweh, was chosen to bring the lineage of His people to the Earth.  This repeat of telling a half truth that leads to misunderstanding that was perceived to bring safety, results in open rebuke again by a pagan king. 

Abraham is traveling again and ends up in the land owned by Abimelech and gives the lie of safety that Sarah is his sister and she is taken into Abimelech's house.  This plan wrought in fear by Abraham and lack of trust in Yahweh, causes His hand to intervene.  Sarah is kept from Abimelech so that he does not sin against Him nor besmirch Sarah or the lineage to come from her womb.  The protection of Sarah prevented the death of those in Abimelech and his family.  Yet there is the judgement that was in effect that the women in the kingdom were barren while Sarah was in his house.  The dream that Yahweh revealed the truth to this pagan king brings about the rebuke of Abraham in resubmitting his plan, to lie of their true relationship again.  This rebuke would remind Abraham that his trust was to be in Yahweh's provision.  That all that He had promised will be delivered according to His infallible word!  Fiveamprayer we are subject to allow fear to give us it's opinion when when don't keep Yahweh in the position in our hearts that He holds all power and knowledge in His hands.  We have to really try to keep the problem in it's correct position and not elevated it and then attempt to resolve it ourselves.  Being the seed of Abraham we have this trait as well.  When facing some of the challenges in life we rely on our abilities instead of trusting in He who is True.   The test is, will you trust Him this time?  Or rely on what appeared to work for you last time?  As time goes on we find that Abraham has the trust to take Issac up the mountain in obedience to what Yahweh directs.  We will get to a fuller position of trust as we keep walking with Him and observing His Torah.  We are unlearning years of disobedience and misunderstanding.  This is a process that He is walking with us in!  Be aware of the same situation coming up again and look to see if you will trust Him or try was seemed to work before yet was outside of His will for you.  Fiveamprayer, correction can come from anyone that Elohim sends to correct you.  Will you take the correction and make the necessary changes?  Being aware of stumbling blocks we can be on guard to make better decisions for the next time and not take the easy route that lies will present to us.  Our Elohim is so awesome that Abraham was covered in this situation while keeping the pagan king from sinning against Him!  Look at that protection for those operating in the knowledge of your lie without knowing it was a lie, are preserved.  Abimelech and his household were not killed but the women were not able to conceive while Sarah was in the king's house.  Like the plagues experienced by Pharaoh when Sarah was taken--leading to the first rebuke of Abraham, regarding this lie.   What we want and desire should be the casting off of fear and increased trust in Yahweh, the King of the Universe!  What can any man on Earth do, for He appoints kings in their kingdoms.  Don't allow your abilities make those in authority seem greater than Adonai!  Those situations that you are facing are not being faced alone when you trust in Him!  We have all lied and will lie again.  But the question is will you learn to not keep lying about the same things?  Will the count of lies be less, as your life in the Torah goes on?  Will fear be silenced and no longer push you into a corner to lie when trust in Yahweh is the call to action?  To hear this again click here.

The alef beit is the Hebrew alphabet.  They are the first two letters in Hebrew of the 22 letters that ancient sages say are the building blocks of the universe.  This is what the worlds were formed from, what was contained in the words of Yahweh when He spoke and it was.  Fiveamprayer, this all came from the beginning!  The first seven words of the Bible from Genesis 1:1--Hebrew is read from right to left so the below reads:
בְּרֵאשִׁית,  בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים, אֵת הַשָּׁמַיִם, וְאֵת הָאָרֶץ
 earth    and      heavens    the    Yahweh created   Beginning

The Hebrew language is focused on the action--the verbs.  The English language is focused on the who--the nouns.  The style of writing that is thought to be Elizabethan in that it has many verbs in the sentence structure is actually eastern or Hebraic in concept.  For example, he opened his mouth and spoke, saying--seems repetitive but shows the focus on the action instead of on the noun.  We find these verb laden phrases all throughout the Bible, depending on the translation, in the King James version it is most noted and stems from the Hebraic thought being carried through the translation.  But don't stop there.  There is more to understand, in these letters, that also function as letters and each letter in a word carries it's own meaning adding layers to the word or concept.  The first 7 words carry much importance as the number 7 represents completion and this pattern of 7's does show up throughout the text.  The heavens and the earth were completed in the first verse of the Bible.  The Hebrew sages find this to be the totality of creation done in one verse and not 6 days.  On day 6 we have that man and beast were created. This is found in study of the text in Hebrew.  The translation does not convey this very well. That is why Yahweh is bringing us back to the original language--a restored pure language, Hebrew.  Looking at the first verse of Genesis we have the fourth word, 'et' spelled with an alef and tav. This word does not translate accurately into English and is often omitted.  When translated it is written as 'the'.  The actual word in Hebrew expresses the total completeness, such as the first and the last, from the beginning to the end, or as we would say in English from A to Z. 
These building blocks, the Hebrew alef beit is what created the world and all that lies their in.  These letters make up the words of Elohim and even His infallible name Yahweh or YHVH.  These are the letters the He taught to Adam in the garden, and wrote on tablets of stone on Mt. Sinai with Moses.  Because of these first words, Yeshua the word made flesh can call Himself the Author and Finisher of our faith, He who is, who was and who is to come, the first and the last, the beginning and the end, the Greek translation is alpha and omega but we know that we have a Hebrew speaking Elohim so the correct way would be alef and the tav!  To hear this awesome teaching again click here!

We have opposing ideas facing us today, Fiveamprayer--the Hebrew Yeshua and the Greek Jesus.  Many of us have had the picture of a Caucasian male with long hair wearing a white tunic that reached down to the calves or ankles.  Being a Jewish man in the area, we now call the Middle East, would actually give Him an olive complexion. His hair would be held back in some fashion.  In Numbers we have that all Jewish males were to wear tzizit on the four corners of their garment and made of blue threads, yet our white tunic wearing Greek Jesus wears nothing similar.  The differences of the Hebrew Yeshua and the Greek Jesus go on and on that we find that they are two different people.  This is why we have this warning from Paul in 2 Corinthians 11, for the people not to receive another Jesus or rather Yeshua.  The name Jesus shows up in recent translations and the name Yeshua goes back for years and years.  This seemingly translational mix-up goes beyond the name being taken from Hebrew to Latin to Greek and then English, it goes much deeper than that.  The requirements and definition of the Messiah as given in the Tanahk, the First Testament--don't equate with the details tied to the Greek Jesus.  After being crucified was not in the tomb for 3 days and 3 nights but 1 day and 2 nights.  The Greek Jesus also has holidays: christmas, easter, halloween--that are not given to us to uphold by Yahweh.  The Hebrew Yeshua follows all of the instruction for observing Yahweh's days or the Lord's Feasts--Shabbat, Passover, First Fruits, Shavout, Yom Kippur, Rosh HaShanah, Sukkot, Chanukah.  Yeshua died for our sins and was in the tomb for 3 days and 3 nights and the anointed King, Christ got up on the third day it is this Jesus that Paul preached.  Jesus Christ the Son of God.  Fiveamprayer we have to know for sure which Jesus we are calling on.  Every religion recognizes Jesus but when looking closer which one is the right one?  We are called to be kings and that is because it is Christ in us the hope of glory.  Yahweh has given us this kingship and that makes Him the King of kings.
Let's look at little more at this...the word anti in Greek means substitution or another taking place for something else. So the anti-Christ would be a substitute for the real, authentic Messiah.  The Greek Jesus fits the bill--he opposes the deity and humanity of Yeshua, the Word made flesh; removes the definition of sin, the Torah and nails it to the cross;  tears down the eternal covenant of Yahweh, the Torah; also claims the ability to change the immutable word of Yahweh at his whim.  All things against what the word of Yahweh, the Bible has said.  How can the word of God made flesh, disagree with the word of God?  That is impossible so what answer do we have left?  We have been sold a bill of goods that our Messiah is a Greek speaking, non-Jew, who is able to do away with the commandments of God and dispense his grace, who operates as the second person in the trinity and has a total of three appearances on Earth.  Search the scriptures, friend that does not define the Christ, anointed King sent by Yahweh to restore His people back to Him!  For more on this teaching click here

The Torah, Yahweh's teaching and instruction was given to us on how to live our lives after being saved.  This is the tree of life that was planted in the middle of the garden of Eden. This tree is the way of pleasantness and all who grab a hold of it have life and peace.  The tree of life is the Torah!  According to the psalmist it is more desirable than silver and gold--even sweeter than honey in a honeycomb!  It is upon this that we are to meditate on day and night.  These are the Davar Elohim, Word of Yahweh our God!  This word that cannot be reversed nor will ever fail!  The words of the King of the Universe that once spoken become law!  The healing in the leaves of the tree of life--the sections of the Torah scroll are called leaves.  The Torah not only gives individual healing but these leaves heal all nations!  Fiveamprayer we have to know that in the Torah, Yahweh's teaching and instruction we have what we need for this life.  No longer hold off and focus on your after life, how are you supposed to live now? What directions have been given that we live peaceably with all we meet?  For He has provided richly for us in our obedience and yet we continue in disobedience that curse after curse chases us down.  Why do we need to know how to live, because without the Torah we have death surrounding us.  Curses on the left hand and on the right, yet we have step by step instructions of what to do as well as what happens when we don't--

Deuteronomy 28 

1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. 3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. 4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. 5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. 6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. 7 The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. 8 The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. 9 The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways. 10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee. 11 And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee. 12 The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. 13 And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: 14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.
17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.
18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
19 Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
20 The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
21 The Lord shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.
22 The Lord shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.
23 And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.
24 The Lord shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
25 The Lord shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
26 And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.
27 The Lord will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.
28 The Lord shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:
29 And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.
30 Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.
31 Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them.
32 Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long; and there shall be no might in thine hand.
33 The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:
34 So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
35 The Lord shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.
36 The Lord shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
37 And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the Lord shall lead thee.
38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.
39 Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.
40 Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit.
41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.
42 All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.
43 The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.
44 He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.
45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:
46 And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.
47 Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the Lord shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.
49 The Lord shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
51 And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
52 And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the Lord thy God hath given thee.
53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the Lord thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee:
54 So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:
55 So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.
56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
57 And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.
58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, The Lord Thy God;
59 Then the Lord will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.
61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the Lord bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
62 And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the Lord thy God.
63 And it shall come to pass, that as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.
64 And the Lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.
65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the Lord shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
66 And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:
67 In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
68 And the Lord shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
