The Principle and Power of Kingdom Citizenship: Keys to Experiencing Heaven on Earth by Myles Munroe--Ch. 2
THE COLONY
This morning Fiveamprayer, we have to get an understanding of a colony. The Bahamas for example, is an island nation in the Caribbean Sea that was a part of Great Britain. All of the Caribbean island nations have been colonized by various European countries--including Jamaica, Barbados, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Thomas, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent, Grenada and Trinidad and Tobago, just too many islands to count!
What is a colony? A colony is a territory that is under the direct control of a central, imperialist government. This government, which in the case of the Bahamas is England, considers the colony an outpost of the faraway central authority. Great Britain is on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean--4,300 miles away, but those who lived in the territories were considered citizens of England.
Why do they still speak English in the Bahamas and not some other language? Because of the British. Why do they speak in the ‘king’s English’ and not American English even though America is much closer than England? Because of their status as a British colony for 200 years. There are generations of people from the Bahamas who were educated in that particular type of English and all of their business is transacted in that language. Despite the fact that over 90 % of their population is of African descent, their ancestors have been brought to the islands as slaves to work on the plantations, very few of them know even a few words in their ancestors native language or their customs. While they have bloodlines that reach back to the continent of Africa, yet so many do not know any African history. What they have been taught about is various notable English people, the long succession of English kings and queens. And read all of the plays of Shakespeare.
Great Britain gave the people of the Bahamas other distinctive features, as well. They gave them the style of dress, long socks with short pants, neckties and a preference for straightened hair. They also gave them knives and forks, and drinking tea. Driving in the Bahamas, you will drive on the left side of the road, just as you would in England. These are narrow roads that also have english roundabouts at intersections. It is the strong colonial influences that you can witness even now, visiting the Bahamas today.
You can find more colonial influences wherever you go in the world. For example in Suriname which is in the northern part of South America-- still has the imprint of Holland’s influence. When you arrive at the airport, you may see a black man that only speaks Dutch. Of course he is speaking the language that he is fluent in, the language of the nation’s former kingdom!
Established Standards
A kingdom is a nation under the king’s rule, which means that the king himself establishes the standards for the country and its colonies. There is a great example of this in France. King Louis the 14th, decreed that the length of his royal foot was known as the standard 12 inch foot. Other people's feet were smaller or larger than his but, his foot became the rule. Today the French use the metric system, but when King Louis the 14th was on the throne, they did not. The king established the standards, and everybody was compelled to follow them. To this day, children in school use a straight measuring stick of a specific length called a ‘ruler’. They use it to measure things and to draw a straight line. They do not get to discuss or change the standard. They just have to accommodate themselves to it.
I am gonna say that again, the definition that I used in the first teaching, a kingdom is the governing influence of a king over a territory, impacting that territory with his will, his purpose, and his intent, producing a culture and a moral standard for his citizens. In other words, a kingdom is not just a piece of real estate. It has a culture. It has morals and standards. It has values. And they get exported to the colonies of that particular kingdom. By definition, a colony is a group of citizens established in a foreign territory to influence that dominion for their home government.
In terms of the Kingdom of the Most High, you could say that when you come into the Kingdom you change colonies. But it can take a long time to lose you old ways of thinking and behaving just as the people in the Bahamas, their current culture today is saturated with British ways despite the years of being an independent and sovereign nation. When you come into the Kingdom, your personal life will carry many of your old ways as you learn to think and behave differently to match your new affiliation.
Regardless of where we live on the globe, those of us who are citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven were born as colonists of the kingdom of darkness. But somewhere along the line we switched loyalties, joining forces with the colonists of the kingdom of light. When we switched, we began to shed our old habits and worldview, along with our old ways of thinking and our expectations. In time, we should begin not only to represent our new King, but to resemble Him!
When people become colonists in the Kingdom of the Most High, they sign up for a steep learning curve, but it is worth it. You may or may not know what I am talking about from personal experience. The fact of the matter is that unless we learn what it means to be a citizen of this earth-colony of the Kingdom of Heaven, we will miss out on all of the benefits that come with colonial status.
Occupy
What I am trying to explain is how colonization describes both a king’s expansion of his kingdom territory as well as an expression of his personality. Colonization means that a kingdom has been extended to a distant territory and after a time the colony can be expected to manifest the culture of the kingdom, even though the citizens possessed a different culture in their past.
Colonization does not always work out. Here is a 2000 year old parable about some of the difficulties of Kingdom colonization. It begins like this….
He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. LUQAS (LUKE) 19:12-13 את CEPHER
The “far country” is a new colony. The man went to that territory because he was supposed to receive kingship there. He left ten of his servants behind, giving them resources and telling them to transact business until he returned. “Occupy” is a word that implies not only staying behind to represent the owner, but actively conducting business. The nobleman wanted his servants to administrate and take control of the business in the place, and he told them that he would come back to check on them.
As you read the rest of the parable an unhappy story unfolds that looks like the story of humankind on earth. The nobleman-king gets rejected by the citizens of the new country, and at the same time the ones to whom he entrusted his business dealings let him down badly. True, some of the servants succeed in their business dealings and let him down badly. True, some of the servants succeed in their business dealings to varying degrees, but at least one of them refused to do anything at all with the money his master left with him; he hid it away inside a piece of cloth and left it there the whole time his master was gone. Did the king appreciate this? Not at all. He swiftly exercised his sovereign power to punish both the unworthy servant and the rebellious colonists.
It did not have to turn out that way, but the citizens and the servants chose to abandon their master’s wishes. When he came to claim his kingship, they excommunicated him from the colony territory; they told him they did not want him. Isn’t that just what we have done in many of our countries today? We have taken The Most High out of our schools and universities, out of our government. In the Bahamas they haven’t decided to erect a legal separation of The Most High and government and I hope we don’t ever do it, but in many other countries, that is the law.
The servants in the parable were instructed to “occupy” because their territory was never created to be governed without the king. But they did not. They took matters into their own hands, and the result was ruin. The stewards in the story blame their actions on their circumstances, and even on the master himself. “For I feared you, because you are an austere man: you take up that you layed not down, and reap that you did not sow. LUQAS (LUKE) 19:21 את CEPHER. This sounds a lot like what the King, the Most High finds when He checks on the people He left to occupy the planet for Him. We say this to The Most High: “We think you are too harsh. We can’t trust you, and we prefer to do things our own way.”
The King is still bringing in the Kingdom, one colonist at a time.
How has the earth colony turned out? Just look around you. Does earth look like Heaven? Look at the bars on our windows and the guns in our houses. Every day a murder. We are afraid to jog outside, so we buy a treadmill. We are afraid to let our children visit certain family members, lest they be abused. We are unable to succeed in marriage, so the divorce business is booming. We have got nothing to show the King except broken lives, disease, depression, conflict, religious clashes, war, frustration, bankruptcy, tyrants and dictators, broken homes and broken nations.
Is it too late for us? I don’t think so. The King is still bringing in the Kingdom, one colonist at a time. Yet the only way we can occupy until He comes again is to change. We must recognize that we cannot do it on our own. We need the King to save us from ourselves. We need a Savior to save us, to salvage the colony. He is coming to bring in a new government-if we will accept it. We should realize by now that none of the governments human beings have produced are working: democracy, democratic socialism, communism… none of them. That is because they all belong to the kingdom of darkness, which people have affiliated since our earliest ancestors first declared independence from the original King.
Referring back to the parable, we need to realize that the King will be asking us to give Him an account. He will not care how your pastor did or how your boss did. He will want to know what you did with the resources He gave you to oversee. He has questions for you. “I want to know how you have been doing,” He says. “What have you done to represent my Kingdom? How have you explained and expanded my Kingdom to the people in your environment? Have you demonstrated integrity in your workplace? Have you been a good father or mother or child or friend? Have you made things better in your circle of influence? What was your attitude? Are you making investments with what I have given you? What kind of job are you doing?”
The fact is, those of us who are known as Kingdom colonists are not earthlings; we are “heavenlings” or “heavenians,” if there can be such words. We are citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven. Many of us learned a prayer that includes these words: “Your Kingdom come. Your will be done in earth, as in the heavens. MATTITHYAHU (MATTHEW) 6:10 את CEPHER. When we pray it, we are expecting the Father’s will to be performed in our colony, just as it is in Heaven. We are acting out of our identity as true colonists who see themselves as full citizens of Heaven and representatives of the King.
Citizenship VS. Membership
Most organized groups within societies, including religions, function on the basis of membership. However, countries, nations, kingdoms-and their colonies-are different because they function on the basis of citizenship. This is an important distinction to make, because otherwise you might assume that being part of a colony relegates you to some kind of second-class citizenship that is more like membership in a club.
You need to know that you are a full citizen of whatever nation claims your territory as a colony. This applies even to Heaven and Earth. Heaven is the territory of the King called The Most High, although it remains largely invisible to human eyes. Heaven is The Most High’s country, if you want to call it that. Heaven is an actual place. Heaven is The Most High’s headquarters. His throne is there. (The word “throne” does not mean just a fancy chair. It means a “seat of power” or fortress.)
You will hear two terms used interchangeably: the Kingdom of The Most High and the Kingdom of Heaven. They both mean the same thing except that the first one is referring to the One who owns the Kingdom and the other is referring to the territory.
That is where we get some of our descriptive terms for The Most High. People call Him the King of glory, the King of Creation, the King of the Universe. He is the King of everything seen as well as everything unseen. He owns it all and He rules it from within His original territory, Heaven.
Often, those of us who dwell on the planet called Earth fail to understand the setup. We see the physical planet all around us, and we find it to be delightful and fearful at the same time. We may recognize the existence of a world outside of our immediate experience, but we do not understand its importance. We recognize our citizenship in some nation, but we do not realize that all of us possess dual citizenship-in a physical country or colony and in an unseen one.
Since Kingdom of The Most High is a country, a real place called Heaven, and since countries bestow citizenship on the people who dwell there, it is citizenship (not membership) that has been bestowed on the “heavenlings” who dwell on the colony called Earth. Citizenship comes with more guarantees and privileges than membership does, along with specific responsibilities.
You can become a member of a community within your colony or country, but your citizenship is what ties you to the community in the first place. In the same way, you can become a member of a religion or a branch of religion, but your citizenship in the kingdom of light (or, sad to say, the kingdom of darkness) will take priority over your membership in that particular religion.
Naturalized citizenship is the goal, not mere membership, whether you live in the primary country or one of its colonies, You need to pursue full citizenship in the Kingdom of Heaven as if your life depended upon it, because it does. As a citizen, you will grow to reflect the culture of the country, which in turn reflects the ruler of the country. Your life will be radically changed and improved as a result.
Citizenship is a legal position. Membership is more of an accomodation. You can apply for membership in the local lodge or Rotary Club and they can decide whether or not to accommodate and include you. They can also decide to de-member (I could have written dis-member) you, making you a non-member. But once you are a citizen, no one can take away your citizenship just because they don’t like you, not even the government. (You can read how this applies to a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven in John 10:28-29.)
Having legal citizenship entitles you to certain rights, and those rights do not depend on feelings or emotions; they depend on much more powerful things: position and law. You can switch religious affiliations or other memberships without losing your citizenship in the Kingdom, and people do. They get their feelings hurt or they offend somebody, so they move on. They change their minds about what they want to do, so they find a new place that will accommodate their viewpoint.
The Declaration Of Independence
Now even though a country will not remove your name from the citizenship rolls, a citizen can remove his own name if he or she chooses. In any kind of kingdom, that is called rebellion, and it happens all the time. When the American colonists wrote their Declaration of Independence, they were announcing their intention to renounce their English citizenship, to break off legal ties with that country, to establish their own independent nation.
Independence and private ownership are an abomination within a colony. They cannot coexist with a kingdom mentality. To this day, the “American spirit” is the same as a spirit of independence, and a strong streak of individualism and private ownership has resulted in the growth of capitalism and its inherent conflicts.
When the first man declared independence from his government in the Garden, he resigned his citizenship by switching it to the kingdom of darkness. (Remember what we taught about darkness is synonymous with ignorance. Adam was ignorant of the importance of obedience to the single legal regulation of his government, and he was ignorant of the goals of his government.)
A declaration of independence results in the loss of citizenship. You may not even know what you are doing, but the end result is the same. If you change your mind, you may decide to seek citizenship again, and you may eventually be repatriated. But it will not be easy to regain your citizenship once you have lost it.
Just a note here about what the human race lost when the first human being declared his independence from his original King. We need to know what we are looking for if we ever hope to regain it. The human race did not lose residence in Heaven. I am going to say that again, the first human race did not lose residence in Heaven. The first human was created on earth and out of the earth. His residence was on earth. He never resided in Heaven and he did not fall from Heaven. He was the original colonist, and he had been allotted full citizenship in the Kingdom of Heaven even as he dwelt on the earth. What he rejected was his assignment, which was to exercise dominion over the earth in obedience to the King. When he refused to follow The Most High’s directions in fulfilling his assignment, that first man lost dominion and citizenship at the same time.
As the story goes, Adam’s wife, Eve, was persuaded by a talking serpent, otherwise known as the devil, to eat some delicious-looking fruit from one of the trees in their garden paradise. Trouble was, that was the one and only thing their Creator-King, The Most High, had instructed them not to do. They had only one rule and they broke it. So they got kicked out of their garden, and all of their children, grandchildren, and so forth were born outside of the colony territory-which means that none of them were born into citizenship in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Because of what the first man did, every one of the 7.3 billion people on earth and the 259,000 who were born last night are hungry for the Kingdom of the Most High. It is not about going to Heaven someday (although most religions think so); it is about becoming repatriated into the Kingdom that our long-ago forefather lost. It is about resuming exercise of the dominion over the planet, expanding the original colony until it covers the entire globe.
In the Garden, the first man had it all. He had every provision and all the privileges that come with the assignment of stewardship and management. The Garden was the first settlement of the colony of Heaven, and the Fall changed all of that. We call this “the Fall” and yet we do not really think very much about what those first humans fell from. Innocence? Goodness? Obedience? Yes, but more importantly they fell from dominion. They fell down on the job by breaking the one rule or law they had been given. For two bites of fruit, they lost their citizenship in the colony of the Kingdom of Heaven. Through the Fall, Earth was disconnected from Heaven. No longer did Adam defer to the direction of The Most High.
When you cut off the relationship with your kingdom, you have to set up your own government. Independence can be hard to live out. Ever since they declared independence in the Bahamas, they no longer refer to England to make governmental decisions. They encountered endless problems that they never came across before, and they had to figure out what to do on their own.
High Treason
The first man’s decision to disregard The Most High’s prohibition and to eat of the fruit tree seems like such a minor thing. But The Most High regarded it as high treason. Treason involves deceit and corruption. The highest form of trust has been broken. Adam not only disobeyed the one rule he had given, he lied about it afterward.
If an ambassador of a country should sell the secrets of his country to another country, that is treason. In every country in the world, treason is punishable by death. That is why The Most High, when He gave Adam the whole world to run, entrusted all of it to his stewardship, but gave him the one single prohibition, and leveled with him about the potential punishment: “You must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die” (Gen. 2:17, NIV).
The pronouncement of the punishment of death revealed the gravity of the sin. The word sin means rebellion against authority. Now Adam and all of the individuals who followed him would find death inevitable. He had committed treason. The man himself could not undo the punishment. A new Adam would have to come from Heaven to do that, and He did. He came to restore what Adam lost-everything.
The Governor Of The Colony
When the Bahamas was still a colony, the Queen hardly ever came there. And yet she was their ruler. This shows how a sovereign does not have to come into the territory in order to claim it or retain it. What she did was to send a man called a governor to live there. As long as he was there, the queen was represented there. A succession of governors lived in a big pink mansion known as the Government House on Duke Street in Nassau.
Naturally, when a colony declares independence from the home country, the appointed governor must leave. In the Bahamas, this happened peacefully, but in other colonies it happens with violence. Then the newly independent government must step up its own structure and rules. As the new country adjusts to its sovereign status, many citizens may long for the “good old days” when they were under colonial rule. Others will be perfectly happy forging an independent existence and creating a distinctive culture.
How does governorship translate into the Kingdom of Heaven and its expanding colony on earth? First of all, the native population cannot assume the colonial governorship role, although they can be loyal citizens. That role is reserved for a special, divine representative of the heavenly country known as the Ruach HaKodesh. The earth-colony was never intended to function without its heavenly governor, but when humankind declared independence, He had to leave. The citizens lost their legal connection to their first country, Heaven. They threw off its constitution and rulership and culture.
As a result, we have inherited a mess. Our world today is a culture of death. We have become citizens of a country (the whole earth) that, minus the stabilizing influence of Heaven, has gone completely berserk. Fighting within our homes and waging wars overseas, we keep trying to control the out-of-control situation we find ourselves in, but we can’t agree about how to do it. Can we get our first governor back?
Do you know the answer to our dilemma? Let’s explore this a little more in this series.

The Principle and Power of Kingdom Citizenship: Keys to Experiencing Heaven on Earth by Myles Munroe
CHAPTER 1 UNDERSTANDING THE CONCEPT OF KINGDOMS
The pursuit of power is one of the most significant motivations of the human heart. The passionate desire to manage one’s circumstances and environment seems to be built into the entire human race.
To the best of their ability, people work hard to control and improve their surroundings. Within any culture, people learn the “rules of the road” so that they can either follow them— or break them. Even acts of rebellion or aggression, whether isolated to a single individual or initiated by an organized army of soldiers, can trace their origin to this desire to control and dominate.
Young children cry and squabble to get the things they need and want. When a boy climbs his first tree, he is seeking to conquer new territory. When a girl picks a bouquet of flowers, she is trying to create something beautiful. As children mature, they gain knowledge about the world around them, and they put that know-how to use, striving not only to survive but to thrive.
This innate urge to manage the prevailing circumstances causes people to band together to accomplish things. Starting with family units, people organize themselves into towns, cities, geographical regions, and nations. They identify themselves as residents and citizens of the places where they live and work. Together, they share resources, face challenges, and train their children to do the same.
In a true kingdom, every single thing becomes part of the king’s personal property. Where did this pursuit of power come from? Why does this trait manifest itself so consistently over the centuries, regardless of the color of a person’s skin, gender, age and maturity, education level, skills, economic situation, or family of origin? I am convinced that it is because the whole human race, individually and collectively, was created to exercise management over its prevailing circumstances. And in order to understand ourselves better and to identify how we fit into the big picture, we must first understand the concept of kingdoms and how kingdoms work.
All Kings Have Territory— and Extend It.
Anything called a kingdom is a place where someone called a king has dominion over something. No king can have dominion unless he can claim ownership over territory. For centuries, kings vied for territory all over Europe. They could call themselves kings or lords because they owned vast acreages of land, and whatever was in the land became their property (their kingdom). Every field of barley, road, and river, every fox and tree and rat belonged to them.
Whenever one king grew strong enough to invade another king’s property, he could extend his holdings. The greatness of his kingdom was measured by the amount of land he possessed.
Kings formed armies of soldiers to protect their territory and to invade neighboring regions. The armies were funded by the resources of the king, and in the same way the farmers who worked the land depended on the king’s generosity, even as they turned over most of their crops and livestock to him.
Nothing in the experience of modern governments equips us to understand this. The president of the United States does not own the whole country. The prime minister of England does not own the country he governs, and neither does the Queen. But in a true kingdom, every single thing becomes part of the king’s personal property, every mountain, all of the roads, the animals and plants, the food and the water. No king can claim rulership unless he possesses some territory, which makes all kings products of their property.
The glory of a kingdom is determined by the size of the king’s territory. That is why kings love to expand their kingdoms. The history of kingdoms is a story of expansion. A king must have territory. He must have something to rule. He must be wealthy and strong and decisive. And he must desire to be the king. No part-time or reluctant kings need apply for the job. The king embodies the essence of his kingdom. The kingdom issues forth from him. His relative permanence instills confidence. May I suggest that your president or prime minister does not embody your country? He is not permanent enough. In fact, he has a part-time job. That’s right. A democracy or a republic is not the same as a kingdom. If you are looking for stability and consistency, you do not want to put your faith in somebody who will be in charge for only four years or so. Your mortgage has twenty-five or thirty years on it. Wouldn’t you like someone to be in charge at least longer than your mortgage?
The king is the center of a kingdom. He is the heart of it. People have to obey a king. He is the sovereign, and you do not argue with him or vote him out of office. We know what it is like to disagree with our elected officials. In fact, we tend to disagree quite loudly, and we broadcast it on the news. But disagreement with a king puts you in peril for your life. You do not have to like what he says, but you have to obey if you expect to stick around.
A kingdom can be good, bad or, most of the time, a little of both. Why did the kingdom model turn out to be such a typical form of government?
Rediscovering the First Country
The things we can see and experience turn out to be the evidence of unseen governing influences, yet little do we know what we are dealing with. We see both beauty and ugliness, joy and suffering, harmony and conflict. “That’s just life,” we say. In reality, we have two worlds on one planet. The Earth is the name of the planet, and the two worlds that contend with each other are actual kingdoms—the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of light.
The kingdom of darkness has a ruler, and he stands in opposition to the ruler of the kingdom of light. HaSatan is one of the names people have given to the prince of darkness. The word “prince” means simply ruler, first or fundamental ruler. On the other side, people call the Son of The Most High “the light of the world” or the ruler of the heavenly government.
Did you know that in Hebrew the word for “darkness” is the same as the word for “ignorance”? Similarly, the word for “knowledge” in Hebrew and Greek is the same as the word for “light.” So when we talk about the world or kingdom of darkness and the world of light or Kingdom of The Most High, we are not talking about light bulbs on or light bulbs off. We are talking about ignorance and knowledge. The prince of darkness is the prince of ignorance. He rules by your ignorance. Wherever you are ignorant, he can gain a foothold. Because of these two unseen kingdoms, we are living in a world that is always tense with ongoing territorial conflicts of interest.
We are living in a world that is always tense with ongoing territorial conflicts of interest.
The way I see it is this: the ruler of the kingdom of light created the physical place called the Earth in order to extend the Kingdom of Heaven. He created it so that the people He was about to create would have something to rule over on His behalf. I believe that the Earth was formed so that human beings could exercise co-rulership, so that they could become regents for the King in Heaven. I also believe that Heaven is a real place, and that it is the first real country, the original one, and that all other kingdoms since the beginning of time have been mere shadows of the Kingdom (which I distinguish with an uppercase K because it belongs to The Most High).
In many ways, we can say that The Most High was setting up a colony on earth, much as strong and wealthy countries have colonized parts of the earth. This heavenly colonization effort is still a work in progress. Most of what we see around us is the evidence of numerous conflicts between the colony of the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness. We will be learning how this works in this series.
Substitute Kingdoms
When you serve under a king in a kingdom, you have the power to dominate your territory and to manage your assignment.
What happens, however, if you lose your position? By nature, you are still a manager. Now you have been deprived of what you were managing. You have no purpose anymore.
When that happens—and it happens all the time—people latch onto whatever makes them feel comfortable and at least partially in charge of the challenges around them.
One of the biggest fallbacks is—you guessed it—religion. If you cannot change your situation and you are trying hard to reconcile yourself to it, religion does a great job of helping. It makes you happy in your poverty, content in your illness, satisfied in your depression, and almost peaceful in your frustration.
It works because it tells you that everything will be all right by and by. Your life will improve later. Religion tells you that Heaven is your destination, and all you have to do is hold out until you die. Religion postpones your reality to the future. It makes itself very attractive because it helps you accept things as they are when you feel you have lost control over your circumstances.
I am mentioning religion because I do not want you to get off on the wrong track about the Kingdom. Religion is not the same as the Kingdom I am talking about. It is a substitute. I know that both “Kingdom of The Most High” and “Kingdom of Heaven” sound religious, but the Kingdom is something higher than any religion in the world.
If the Kingdom of The Most High is not the same as religion, what is it? Let’s put together what we know already and see what we come up with. We have determined that a kingdom involves a king having dominion over actual territory, and that the original territory, or the first country, of the Kingdom of The Most High is Heaven. So a kingdom is a government and the Kingdom of The Most High is The Most High’s government.
To that I added the fact that a king’s decisions affect his territory and its citizens. A king is sovereign. He does not need to consult anyone else or get their votes. In other words, his will can become law. If he is a wicked, self-serving king, his expressed will can mean that the citizens will suffer. Just think what happened when people did not obey the expressed will of ancient kings. One moment he could be lavishing a fortune on them and the next moment he could say, “off with their heads!” For better or for worse then, a king’s decisions and decrees produce the quality of life of his subjects. Over time, the king’s declarations produce a culture for the citizens of the kingdom.
It may be a culture of fear and poverty or it may be a culture of freedom and peace.
What Is a Kingdom?
By basic definition, then, any kingdom can be defined as follows:
A kingdom is the governing influence of a king over a territory, impacting that territory with his will, his purpose, and his intent, producing a culture and a moral standard for his citizens.
A kingdom is definitely a governmental system, but a kingdom is not a democracy or a republic. The king’s word is law, and he does not need to share his power with other branches of government. He is the government. He is the sole and final authority. He is the law, the court, the judge, the cabinet, the congress, and the parliament. He is the head of state, the president, and the prime minister. And he does not have to worry about term limits. Nobody votes for or against him, because in a kingdom, nobody votes. Referendums are unheard of in a kingdom.
From our national culture as well as from our religious culture, we sometimes get the notion that we can exercise our vote for or against one of the King’s laws or decisions. But it doesn’t work that way!
The king has influence over his territory and he rules over it. This means that he rules over the people who dwell there, the ones who are the citizens of his territory. He looks after them. He organizes them to function as a society.
Now most of you have been raised in countries that are considered democracies or republics.
Even in countries with a king or queen, like England, the governing power and authority does not reside solely in that one person. It can be very difficult for most of us to wrap our minds around the concept of living as a citizen of a kingdom. Our idea of the kingdom concept is insufficient, to say the least. From our national culture as well as from our religious culture, we sometimes get the notion that we can exercise our vote for or against one of the King’s laws or decisions. But it doesn’t work that way! Even when highly respected religious leaders vote, for example, to promote a practicing homosexual into a position of high authority, they cannot change the moral standard of the King or His true Kingdom. The King of the original country (Heaven) is The Most High, and He is the highest King of them all.
Characteristics of a Kingdom
All kingdoms share specific characteristics. As you read through this list, you will find yourself nodding in agreement, “Yes, I knew that….” It seems so obvious when you see the facts.
How could we have missed it for so long? We will be discussing this series. Here are the characteristics of a kingdom, any kingdom, whether an earthly one or the heavenly one:
All kingdoms have a king. Kings are born into kingship, not nominated and elected.
All kingdoms have a lord, which means an owner. The lord and king are the same.
The king’s power is absolute in a true kingdom.
All kingdoms have territory. The king must have a domain.
The king personally owns everything in his domain.
The king is never voted out of power in a kingdom.
All kingdoms are a country, a nation, and they are different from each other.
All kingdoms have a constitution, a covenant that the king makes with his own citizens.
All kingdoms consist of a group of people who identify themselves with a sovereign.
All kingdoms have laws. Laws are the strict principles by which the citizens must live.
All kingdoms have citizens. Citizenship entails certain responsibilities and it bestows specific rights and privileges.
All kingdoms have royal privileges to which the citizens can have access through royal favor.
All kingdoms have a principle of royal favor.
All kingdoms have a code of ethics.
All kingdoms have common wealth, which is why they are often called a “commonwealth”; the citizens have access to the same supply of wealth.
Along the same lines, all kingdoms discourage private ownership.
All kingdoms have a culture. This has to do with their lifestyle, clothing, values and morals, food, and even the way people respond to problems.
All kingdoms have an economy.
All kingdoms have a taxation system.
All kingdoms have a principle of giving to the king. Citizens never come before their king empty-handed.
All kingdoms have an army. (The soldiers are not civilians or ordinary citizens. In the Kingdom of The Most High, you cannot see the army because it consists of angels.)
The king’s presence is the same as the king’s authority. The king’s name is the essence of his authority.
All kingdoms have delegated authority.
A king embodies the government of his kingdom. The government is not divided into branches or departments.
All kingdoms have an educational system.
All kingdoms have administration and organization.
All kingdoms have a principle of glory, related to the sovereign king. The citizenry represents its king’s glory.
Similarly, all kingdoms have a principle of worship, directed toward the king but beneficial to the worshippers.
All kingdoms have principles of reputation and provision. (This means that, for the sake of his reputation, the king must meet the needs of his citizens.)
All kingdoms have a principle of decree. (Kings do not need to debate proposed laws, and their decrees cannot be changed.)
Kings can choose their own citizens. Without knowing the big picture, most of us get involved in all of our rituals and we forget about our relationship with our Creator. We think that everything begins and ends with us.
People are looking for qualities such as these. They would like a new economy. They would like to live under different laws. They want to experience royal favor and privileges. This is the kind of kingdom we are all seeking. Even though all of us will remain subject to the restrictions of whatever country and municipality we belong to as long as we are alive on the planet Earth, we retain an instinctive passion for something bigger and better, some kind of kingdom of light and goodness.
The Big Picture
If you do not understand the big picture of what The Most High intended for the earth and its citizens, you cannot understand your small part of the whole story. What did The Most High really want to accomplish when He created countless solar systems, millions of planets, and billions of stars? What was He thinking about when He made one of those solar systems with all the planets. What was His intent when he chose the third planet from that solar system’s sun and put life on that planet? And what was He thinking about when He decided to put a piece of Himself into a “dirt suit” on that planet, creating something called man? What was He thinking about; what was He after?
Meantime, here on earth, what is the point of staying alive? Are we born just to make a living, reproduce by having a child or two, and eventually die? Without knowing the big picture, most of us get involved in all of our rituals and we forget about our relationship with our Creator. We think that everything begins and ends with us. We are always scrambling to stay on top. Our lives never seem to have very much meaning.
If, however, you understand that the created universe stems from a parallel universe called Heaven, and that the Creator is a King who is always extending His territory, you can begin to recognize that you are part of a family business. In fact, being part of that family business gives you significance.
The Kingdom is a family business and our Father wants to extend His business into foreign territories. He wants His kids like you and me to run the Earth Department for Him.
All human beings are searching for some kind of significance, and their search manifests itself in many ways. All religions attempt to answer the Big Picture questions. All the conflicts between religions come from the competing searches. It is not just the Buddhists, the Hindus, the Muslims, the Christians, and the other major or minor religions; even the agnostics and the atheists are part of the same search.
The search is not bad, but as we know very well, the search often becomes its own answer. We stop searching and make the means the end. We get defensive about our own version of the search and protective of our particular rituals. We set ourselves apart as members of our own particular group. We miss the fact that there is more.
We are the King’s kids. The King has been inviting us to realize that we are His children and to become full citizens of the biggest, richest, most glorious Kingdom we can imagine, and we have not heard His invitation. Instead, we have been fooling around like a mischievous child in some vacant lot, trying to change it into a playground.
The Kingdom is a family business and our Father wants to extend His business into foreign territories. He wants His kids like you and me to run the Earth Department for Him. His intention was to have the Earth Department look a lot like the Headquarters. He wants to extend His experience from the invisible world to the visible world through his family members.
He wants His Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
This study will tell you what you want to know if you want to become part of the most important family business of all time.

THE PRIORITY OF THE KINGDOM OF YAH
I want you to get your Bibles and if you will turn me to the book of Psalm 103, and then go over to Daniel we're going to read Daniel chapter 2. We're going to talk about the priority of the kingdom of Yah. The entire motivation of Yah is his kingdom. Everything Yah is doing is motivated by his desire and his passion to have his kingdom established on earth. Yah already has a kingdom in heaven. Today we're going to hopefully learn what a kingdom is. As a matter of fact I think it's so important for us to study kingdom because the Bible is not a book about a republic. The Bible is not a democracy. The Bible is about Kingdom. Yah's original purpose for creating the visible world was to establish his invisible kingdom on the visible world. That was his purpose for creation. So Yah's intent was to have his kingdom influenced in the visible realm from the invisible. The invisible produced the visible. Please write that down. The invisible produced the visible. In other words the visible world is not as real as the invisible world. The visible world is a reflection of the invisible world. Keep writing. So whatever you see in the visible world has a corresponding reflection in the invisible world. Paul in his writings to the Corinthians says we understand that the things which are seen came from those which are unseen for things that are seen are temporary but those that are unseen are eternal. That's why the invisible is more real than the visible, because the visible is temporary. That's why it has to be sustained. Yah's plan was to have his invisible kingdom manifested in the visible world. Now his program is very interesting. The way Yah plan to do this is very clear in Genesis, he planned to do it by having invisible children. That is what the word image means. Children in his own image, his own likeness. When I used the word children please don't get me wrong I'm really talking about sons and the word sons in the Hebrew is not really relegated to male. It simply means offspring. Something that Springs off is called a son. So Yah called all of us sons, whether we were a male body or a female body, we are called a son. So a woman is a son of Yah. That means a woman happens to be the house, the gender house, but the woman on the inside is a spirit and spirits have no gender. So the female is the house but the spirit the man is a genderless spirit. That's why Yah calls us all man. Through these children these sons called man he intended to establish his visible kingdom. How is he going to do that? He gave to them a visible body and then he made them a visible planet and then he put them who are invisible, who are wearing a visible body on the visible planet and then he says dominate that for me, have dominion. The word Dominion means to govern, to rule, to control, to manage, to subdue. A kingdom is a realm over which a king has Dominion or influence or control or management or administration, and that's what Yah wanted for you. So you and I were created by Yah to administrate his kingdom on earth that's as simple as it is. Adam was an administrator. He was a steward, he was a manager of planet Earth and inside of Adam was everybody we see here today and all who are on the way. Adam was filled with everybody. So we are designed by Yah to dominate planet Earth so that his King Dominion could come to earth. Adam disobeyed Yah and forfeited his kingdom rights. He gave it over to an unemployed cherub called HaSatan. HaSatan has since been wreaking havoc all over this world, I mean the guy has been ripping up Yah's beautiful program and he's been doing it by using the kids because he contaminated their minds, he depressed them, they don't even know who they are. As a matter of fact the first thing that Adam felt when he fell was fear. He became what? Afraid of Yah himself. I mean imagine the one whose image you are in you become afraid of. What a tragedy. Of course all of us became victims of that disobedience, we are now sons of disobedience and then Yah sent the second Adam to come and correct the problem, his name is Yahusha. What was the problem? Adam lost a kingdom. That was the problem. Adam did not lose heaven so going to heaven is not Yah's objective for you. Heaven to me and according to the Bible is a waiting place until the whole thing is consummated, but it's not your final destination. So if you died today you would go to heaven but you are not going to stay there because that's not Yah's official original plan for you. Heaven is real, there is a place that is called heaven, the place where Yah Himself is ruler and king and Lord, that's his territory. But the earth belongs to us. Psalm 115 verse 15 and 16. So ever since Adam fell Yah's been working on a program in the same chapter when the fall took place to put man back in charge of the kingdom on earth. In Genesis 3:15 Yah said to HaSatan the woman shall have a seed and that seed shall come and crush your head. The word head means authority. He's going to take back the power you have and give it back to man and in the process you're going to bruise his heel but he's going to crush your authority and take back the power. That was the promise and ever since Genesis 3:15 Yah has been working on this program to bring back the authority in the hands of mankind. His goal was to eventually do it himself through Yahusha Hamachiach. So all through the Old Testament Yah was attempting to reintroduce man to his kingdom responsibilities. We are a whole kingdom of kings but we are ignorant concerning who we are and what we are able to do and what our powers are without thought. In other words the greatest enemy of man is ignorance. It’s really not sin or HaSatan. Ignorance. What you don't know is killing you. So that's why Yah didn't send power to fix the earth, because power is not our main problem. We have power. Yah sent a word to fix the earth. What is his word? Knowledge. Hamachiach came to give us the information of Yah or the revelation of Yah because we were suffering from ignorance. We didn't know who we were and still don't know who we are in most cases and so we are victims of our own ignorance. Let me tell you something: the word for ignorance in the Bible is the word darkness and Hasatan is called what? The Prince of Darkness. It means he rules by ignorance. That means HaSatan has no power except your ignorance. Whatever you don't know is what he uses to destroy you, but the word for knowledge in the Bible that word is light. and Yahusha is called what? The light of the world. It doesn't mean he's glowing like a bulb. It means he came with information, with revelation. Why? Because that was our problem. We didn't know that we were Kings, didn't know this was our territory, we don't know that we are rulers of this place. That's why HaSatan is running our lives, he takes our bodies, destroys them with sickness, takes our lives and destroys them financially ,destroys our marriages, messes up our kids, destroys everything. Why? Because we don't realize the power that we have. So when Yahusha came he came to give us revelation or information, not only about Yah really but about us. He came to tell us who we are. I put it this way Yahusha Hamachiach came to the earth to introduce you to yourself. That's why he said follow me and I'll make you become real men who know how to fish in life. What does the word follow mean? Imitate, observe, learn, watch. I'm going to demonstrate this thing. What did he do? He walks on the water, he speaks to fish, he speaks to a tree; it dies, he casts out demons with a word, he points at things it happens. I mean he was showing us how you do it. When he was walking on the water one time Peter said, ``Can I come he says of course. That's what men do on earth, come on boy. Peter started stepping and walking on the water. He spoke to the tree and the tree died. The disciples say Wow. He says guess what? If you speak to mountains they’ll move. You don't know who you are, he says. So the whole thing about the kingdom of Yah is the reintroduction of this kingdom. In the Book of Daniel real quickly, Daniel knew about this Kingdom. Yah gave Revelation. In Daniel 2:44 it says in the time of those kings the Yah of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed nor will it be left to another people, it will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end and it will itself endure for how long? Forever. Daniel 7:13-15 it says in my vision at night I looked and there before me was one like the son of man, sounds familiar, coming with the clouds of heaven. Clouds means host of angels. It doesn't mean he is coming in that white stuff you see above there. Clouds of what? Heaven. That means they're hosts of angels. Continuing on…. coming with the clouds of heaven he approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. The Ancient of days is who? The father Yah, the Yahhead. Who was led into his presence? The son of man. Who's that? Yahusha Hamachiach in the Old Testament. It says he was led to him and he was given what? Authority, glory and sovereign power over all people. Now let me stress here friends what's he called in that verse? The son of what? Man. Yahusha adopted this statement, this title for himself. No one gave it to him. He adopted it himself. He started telling the people I am the son of man. He is telling them what you read about, that was me. Now we call him the Son of Yah. Why does he call himself the son of man? In John chapter 5 he gives a reason why. Can we turn there for a second? It's kingdom stuff here. In John chapter 5 Yahusha was working a lot of miracles that day, he was healing people, cleansing people, he was opening blinded eyes, He healed a man at the pool of Siloam, I mean he was doing a lot of miracles and the people were impressed by what he did and he was doing it with so much ease they thought there is something about this guy we have to find out. So they actually asked him about his authority. Look at verse 16 so because Yahusha was doing these things, plural, that means many things, on what? The Sabbath day the Jews persecuted him. Yahusha said to them my father is always at work to this very day and I too am working. By the way, that statement is a dangerous statement. When is the father working? Always. That’s a dangerous statement. When is the father working? Always. I thought it said Yah rested on the seventh day. What was their argument? The Sabbath. What was his answer? Yah's always working. Now we have a problem with the Sabbath here. Maybe we don't know what Sabbath means. They say don't work on the Sabbath. He says my father's always working. You mean Genesis chapter 2, we misunderstood it? When it says Yah works six days and he rested on the seventh day. So on the seventh day he was still working? Maybe he changed his mode of work. Maybe Shabbat doesn't mean to do nothing. Maybe Shabbat means to do a different kind of work like enjoying what you work for. My father's always working, he says and therefore what? I have to work. So when are you supposed to work? As long as the father's working. When does the father work? Always. You know when people go on vacation they forget about Yah. They go to Disneyworld, visit a rat. It's like they say, for six days I don't want to hear any bible scriptures, I don't want to witness to anybody. I came to play with Mickey. That's how they think but my father's what? Always working. He sent you to Disney World to bring somebody to Yahusha. So the man at the cash register at Disney World is cashing up your popcorn and Yah says tell him about my love. You say I don’t want to do that right now. I’m on vacation. He said my father's always working. My father is always working, Yahusha said and therefore I must also work. But not watch his answers again with regards to the Son of Man. It says for this reason the Jews all the more tried to kill him, not only was he breaking the Sabbath but he was also calling Yah his own father making himself what? The son of Yah. Now wait a minute didn't Yah say he's your father? See in the Hebrew if someone is your father that means that you came from the same source. Which means you are the same stuff. The Jewish theology did not have a fatherhood image of Yah. They were afraid of Yah. Yah was a consuming fire, a terror to them and here comes this man in the flesh calling Yah my source. In other words, my father and I are of the same stuff. They said you cannot be Yah. Well when you call Yah your father you are saying that you are little Yah. So they couldn't handle that and they tried to kill him. Well look at this verse. Verse 19 Yahusha gave them this answer. I tell you the truth, the son can do nothing of himself but he can only do what he sees his father doing because whatever the father does the son also does. We are all sons so we can do only what our father does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does, yet to your amazement he will show him even greater things than these. Now watch this. For just as the father raises the dead and gives them life even so the son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it. Moreover the father judges no one but has entrusted all judgment to who? The son. That all may honor the son just as they honor the father. He who does not honor the son does not honor the father who sent him. I tell you the truth whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned. He has crossed over from death to life. I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of who? The Son of Yah. And those who hear will live. Now the dead are going to hear whose voice? Not the son of man, the son of Yah. For as the father has life in himself so has he granted the son to have life in himself and he has given him authority to judge because he is the son of what? Yah. Don't read this quickly. Yahusha changes on us. When they talk about his omnipotence, the coming at the end of days with the trumpet of Yah to raise the dead, he says when I show up that way I'm the son of Yah. But he says to judge on earth, to judge means to act righteously, these healings, these deliverances, these miracles, he says I do them because I have the authority as who? The son of man. He says I am only able to do these things not because I am the son of Yah, because as the son of Yah, listen carefully, I am illegal. They said how can you heal the sick, raise the dead on the Sabbath? He says I do these things because I am a man. Because only man can function on earth legally. Everything Yahusha did on earth he claimed it possible because he was the son of man. So when you read the Bible you have to be careful every time he switches. When he talks about the future he says the son of Yah. When he talks about the present he says the son of man why? Because to be here you need a body. Now what does that mean to you? That means Hamachiach had no advantage over you. Some of us think that because he was Yah in the flesh that he was better or more equipped than us. No. He had the same stuff you have. He had the Ruach HaQadesh, he had a body that could get tired, he had to rest one day, drink water, he got thirsty, he was tempted to quit. Oh yes he was. He wanted to find another way out of this thing. He went through the whole thing why? Because he was the son of man and that he claims to be his source of authority. So you are authoritative on earth because you are a human. Son of man. Daniel said this in verse 14 he was given authority and glory and sovereign power over who? All peoples and nations and men of every language worshiped him. His Dominion is an everlasting Dominion that will not pass away and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed. Now why is this important? Where did he go? It says he came into the presence of who? The Ancient of Days. I want you to picture this. The Son of Man… When was this written? Long before Yahusha came to earth. Daniel had what? A vision of the future. He saw Yah's kingdom being established by a person called the Son of Man and Daniel saw this son of man coming into the presence of the Ancient of Days to get some stuff. What does he come to get? Authority and the nature of Yah. Why? He's going to earth to have dominion over the peoples to bring back the authority of Yah. He has to go to Yah to get what? The authority. How did Yah give him the authority? By making him the son of man. Is anybody with me at all? That's a powerful scripture. This is a couple of thousand years before Yahusha came to earth but Daniel saw him going to get a kingdom and the Kingdom is already in heaven but to get it on earth he has to go as the son of man. That's where he got his authority from. and then he came and gave it to who? Every language and every person and that is why the next verse is so important. Watch this statement by Daniel 7:18. it says but the Saints of the Most High will receive the kingdom and will possess it forever and forever and forever. Who's going to receive it? Not angels, the Saints. They are going to receive what? The kingdom, not heaven. The kingdom. The stuff he went in the presence of the Ancient of Days to get, he went to get it for the Saints. The word Saint, write that word down please. The word Saint has been really messed up lately. The word Saint is not St. Theresa St. Thomas Moore and these dead people. Every book in the Bible that Paul wrote was addressed to the Saints and they were all alive. So don't let any philosophy cause you to believe that Saints are only dead people. Every believer is supposed to be a saint. The word saint is from the word sanctified. The word sanctified write it down, which simply means set apart for a specific use. put it another way. Sanctified means to be isolated for a specific purpose. So a saint it's not somebody with a long robe with some veil on or something. A saint as anybody who was being set apart for a specific use. You can sanctify a cup, you can sanctify a table. You can set it apart for a specific use. Now some of you have your wedding china and they are sanctified. What does that mean? Matter of fact you don't even use them at all. They set apart for guests. So they're sanctified. That's what the word Saint means, it means set apart. Now every single person listening live or the recording who has received Hamachiach into their lives, the Bible calls you church. Church is from the word ecclesia. Ecclesia means set apart ,called out and set apart. So every believer is sanctified. So you are a saint and they're the ones he gave what to? They receive the kingdom. You were born again not to go to heaven, you were born again to receive a kingdom. What is kingdom? Dominion, Authority, power, rulership. you were created to be in charge of this situation. When you wake up tomorrow morning to go to work don't go to work trying to scrape your way through life barely making it by Yah's grace saying if i just make it by Friday hanging on for Yahusha. That is not a kingdom mentality. Kingdom mentality is: bring on the problems, bring on the trouble, why? me and King Yahusha we are ready for this thing, why? I'm built to run this situation. Sanctified. He sent us to receive the kingdom of Yah. You know this is an incredible mentality change. That's why most people are so frustratingly depressing. Being around them. I mean you see these Saints, people always complaining. What kind of King are you? Imagine a king complaining about bills. Mentality. All Kings go to war. You all know that. Read history. They all go to war and I mean they go to war to win and they fight to the death. That’s what kingship is all about. It's about protecting authority and taking territory. There's always an enemy somewhere around in your life. You have to take authority and get your territory back. It's a fight. You don't roll over and say Oh Lord take care of that. You have to get this thing out yourself. The bible says that the kingdom of Yah is what? Taken by the violent. You have to be violent to get this thing that's yours. Whatever is yours you have to fight for. Stop asking people to do things for you. Kings take authority and they take territory. Daniel says he gave it to the Saints. The next verse. then the sovereignty power on greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven will be handed over to what? The Saints. Now I want you to underline a statement here in that verse in your Bible. It says both the sovereignty, power and the greatness of the kingdom under heaven. Where is it? We want to go to heaven. He said this kingdom I'm talking about is not in heaven. It is under heaven. What I'm trying to do really before you die is to get you out of heaven. let me just get you out of heaven so you can know the planet is yours that Yah gives you as a steward and then decide from this day forward I'm going to start taking back every piece of land my foot possesses. I'm going to bring it under the influence of the kingdom of Yah. think that way. That's what he says. He will give you the kingdom under heaven and it will be handed over to whom? The Saints. A whole new verse but here he is giving you the same instructions. He will give it to the people of who? the Most High. We keep wanting heaven. He says it's not about heaven it's about the kingdom. We want to go somewhere. He says no I'm giving it to you. I'm giving you authority. Kingdom. So my thought patterns are very different than I used to have when I was a religious person. When I was religious, all I wanted to do was make it into heaven. Now as a saint, as a citizen all I want to do is to stay on earth. I want to make Earth exactly what he said. when you pray he say pray thy kingdom come and thy will be done not in heaven. When we leave here people should know that there is a kingdom. In Acts chapter 8:12- 13 very powerful verse. Philip preached the kingdom of Yah and I thought it was interesting that the Ruach HaQadesh made sure these details were in this verse. You all remember when the black guy came from Africa, Ethiopia in the book of Acts. He was a very wealthy guy. He was a eunuch and he went up to Jerusalem to worship. now remember that Solomon had sex with the queen of Ethiopia and she had a baby remember? She got pregnant and went back home and the message got back to Solomon that he had this child in Africa by this black woman. its true history. and so actually one of her sons was the son of Solomon. Who's Solomon? King, who is she? She's a queen. So who is the baby? The baby is a prince. So they're in Africa, we have now an official, original child that belongs to Solomon and a queen. so now therefore the Hebrew people have African roots. This family in Ethiopia becomes the royal family connected to Solomon. That's where the Rastas get their ideas from. Now the Rastas are trying to make this boy Messiah. That's what they were trying to do. Now there was no record in Scripture about this boy being a Messiah. so you can't invent a messiah for black people but you see when you are in slavery and oppressed and you are at a disadvantage. You can’t find food to eat and then the Europeans preach a white Yahusha that was oppressing you. Then I can understand your mental problems. I can understand why you say it can't be the white Yahusha for me because the white Yahusha sent the white man from Europe to oppress me and make me a slave, so it’s got to be a black messiah somewhere and so you go looking for him. you find him in ethiopia and you try to connect him to the Lion of Judah. There was no lion that was connected to this boy. It’s an illegitimate son that Solomon made laying with this woman. This African man from Ethiopia is from a tribe that began to worship the Yah of Solomon. Remember the Queen of Sheba was impressed by Solomon and Solomon says all I have is because of our Yah, Jehovah Yah and she says I believe in your Yah. So she became convinced and instead of worshiping those idols back home she took Yah back home with her and told the family with the baby. She was impressed with the Yah of Solomon and that's why today the first evangelistic outreach of the church took place in this chapter. This was the first international outreach by the church. It's this black man and where was he going? He was going back home to Africa. Where had he been? The Bible says he went up to worship. well because every Jew once a year had to go to Jerusalem to the temple to take a sacrifice and to worship Yah. That was the tradition. So the Africans from Ethiopia who were Solomon's descendants also did the tradition. They came up and they worshiped and ran back home. This man is on his way back home, while he was in Jerusalem somebody told him that a few weeks ago a man was preaching, healing the sick, raised the dead, cast out demons, cleansed the leper and this man died on the crucifixion stake and this man changed the whole place under Ethiopia trying to figure out who this man is. Now where is the Ethiopian? He's in the temple, he's worshiping Yah and he hears the rumors about this man. He is reading. What is he reading? He is reading the book of Isaiah. Where'd he get that from? He got it from his mama or from the Queen. The Queen bought the scrolls back from Solomon and so now she has the scriptures back in Africa. By the way that means the roots of African convictions in Yah go way back beyond slavery. They got the word before the Europeans. So here comes this guy he's reading and they had the nerve to make black people think that they couldn’t read. And guess what? Black people were rich. He was riding in a chariot which means that he wasn't driving. He was reading in his chariot on his way back to Ethiopia and while he was reading he got to a place in Isaiah where it says he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of his peace was upon him and with His stripes we were healed. He was reading this point and he got confused and couldn't figure out who this was this talking about and the bible says while he was pondering this in his mind. Philip was in a revival, in a small town and while at the revival people were getting healed it says that the Ruach HaQadesh came and this is where the miracle starts. It says it translated Philip, took him out a revival. Philip was taken up by the Ruach HaQadesh and translated and he came alongside the chariot. the Ethiopian said to him who are you? He says I'm Philip and he says what are you reading? He says I'm reading this Isaiah but I don't understand it. and the Bible says Philip said unto him would you like to understand? Understandest thou what thou readest? He says no I don't understand, I read it but I don't understand it. Here's what Philip says but when they believed Philip as he preached the good news, the kingdom of Yah, as the Ethiopian and his colleagues there who were with him, it says, in the name of Yahusha they were to be baptized both men and women, Simon himself believed and was baptized and he followed Philip everywhere astonished by the great signs and miracles he saw. Now he preached the good news of what? That's what I want you to watch. What did he preach? The kingdom. What have we been preaching? salvation, healing, prosperity. Solomon’s heritage got the message of the kingdom. What do we have? Philip knew the gospel. The gospel was the gospel of the kingdom and that's what he preached. He didn't preach being born again, he preached the kingdom to these people. That's why I wanted to stress some points here. The purpose of Yahusha is the same. What was his original purpose? His intent was to reinstate the kingdom of heaven on earth. Something interesting I want to wrap up this session on because next week we're going to go a little heavy into this but the timing of his coming was related to the kingdom. Not only did he preach the kingdom but even the timing of his coming to earth was controlled by the kingdom message. His ministry's message was related to the kingdom. That's all he preached. The kingdom of Yah is like…. the kingdom of Yah is like….. and then the promise of his ministry was related to the kingdom. He said that when I come the kingdom shall be established in its fullness. Very interesting and that his future expectation was not heaven but he expected the kingdom to be established. All right as you write those notes down let me just wrap this up on this unique and very important point of timing. Listen carefully, what's the first thing they teach about communication in school in your communications class? Effective communication needs what? you have the sender and the receiver. Then what do you have in the middle? what they call noise right? So if I have to give you a message, listen carefully now, in communication they say I am the sender I got the message, you are the receiver. I have to get it to you. Now between me and you is a whole lot of what they call noise. Noises are people getting up walking around distracting you. Something may bite you on your foot like a mosquito or something, maybe somebody makes a loud sound or a baby cries. I mean there's a lot of noise that can interrupt my message so you miss it. Secondly they say what you need to make communication successful, you need what they call understanding or definition of terms. Follow me carefully. In other words if I'm going to communicate to you anything, the words I use, whatever my definitions are, they have to be yours too. Are you with me? Otherwise we can't communicate. For example if I said give me some bread. now in the 1960s I'd give you money. See the problem? So if someone says give me some bread and I give you some money because in the 60s that's what money was, money was bread. If I say hey man that's cool. Now it doesn't mean it's cold. In the 1950s that means you were shivering but in the 1970s it means that you are okay. See two different meanings but the same word. In other words communication is only successful if the words we are using mean the same thing. Very important here. Let’s see who was listening in the last session. So here is Yah with a whole planet of people. He's in heaven he's got this message that's important to them about who they are as a kingdom. He sends himself in a body. Now chronologically speaking in this Bible, how long ago did Adam sin? Chronologically six thousand years ago. Six thousand years ago Adam sinned according to this book. When Adam sinned the same chapter Yah promised to send the seed, in the same chapter. so when Adam sinned in verse 4, in verse 15 Yah says, I got it covered no problem the seed is coming. Yah sends the solution in the same chapter but how long did Yah take before he showed up? So now you got Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, first and second Samuel, first and second Kings, Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Songs of Solomon, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi, there's a blank page. Now all of those books, all that history thousands of years, Yah still didn’t send the son. What's Yah waiting for? When you study the whole book, you can see why Yah didn't send him. right after Adam sinned, you have Noah. You know what Noah did. Noah got drunk. Then Noah’s sons went off into all kinds of demon worship. Out of all of that comes this guy Yah found called Abraham. Abraham is Noah’s great great great grandson. So Yah comes to this little village where they worship the moon. That's how bad Noah’s sons came out, they worshiped the moon. The land of Err is where Abraham lived and his fathers worshiped the moon and he went in there and he said come here and he called Abraham out. Abraham comes out. He says to Abraham there's no model on earth for my message so I want you to start something for me. Through you I'm going to create a nation. Abraham says fine but I don’t have any children. Yah says that’s no problem, we will work on that. Then Abraham also says but I am 75. Yah says we will work so Yah works a miracle and at age 100 Sarah has a baby. His name is Isaac. Yah still did not have a model for the kingdom. Isaac has two sons Esau and Jacob. he says Jacob I'm going to change your name to Israel. So through Israel he had 12 sons. Here come the twelve tribes of Israel. Yah says okay I am going to try to set this model up. Listen carefully. He says look, you will be my people and I'll be your Yah. So I tell you what, there'll be no one between us. It'll be the people and Yah. Yah never wanted a king, why? He says I will be your king, you will be my kingdom. That's all Yah wanted. He says not tell you what I'm going to organize the situation where you guys will have communion with me through this worship thing. I'll come to you, I'll talk to you, you do what I say. bring the nations back to me. got it. Good. So the people say fine. They got out there and they began to realize we can't see Yah and then these other nations got Kings they could see. So when they met the other nations, their nation would say are you a nation? They would say yes we are the tribes of Israel. Then they would say but who's your King? Yah. Where is he? Somewhere around here. I mean how do you tell folks that your government is somewhere around here. That became tough for them. So they began to ask Yah to give us a king that we could see. Yah says you don’t want a king. That is not in the model. They said give us a king. He says look, I am The King, you are the kings, this is the kingdom. You don't want a king. They said we want a king, we want a king. So they got real upset at Yah and the Bible says Yah says okay if you want a king choose from among yourselves one and I will bless it so they chose Saul to be their king. So now Yah has a King in the middle of the Kings representing the Kings to the king. The model still wasn’t right. So Yah says okay I tell you what. This King is going to give you taxes. Yah's trying to set it up now. He can take taxes from you, that's your tithes. He can put your kids in war and armies, that's the angels and he is going to levy you for your land. He’s going to take property taxes. Yah listed all these things and said look you get this ruler and he is going to wipe you out. They said we still want a King so they got Saul. We know the story about Saul. Saul obeyed Yah until one day he decided he liked sheep too much. Remember that guy? He saw them sheep and said whoo I can't kill them. So he kept these sheep and he took them back home and then when Yah said I told you to kill the sheep, he said I killed them. He said but I heard the sheep bleeding. It’s an interesting story about Saul. The Prophet came to Sual and said Saul, why did you disobey Yah? It's more important to obey Yah than to worship. Saul says oh boy ask Yah to forgive me. The Prophet said Yah cannot forgive you because you broke the law and then Yah chose another one named David to take his place. David becomes king. Now David is a good fella David is now raised by Yah to try to get the model. What was Yah looking for? A model to create a kingdom so he could preach a message to the nations. David says the Lord is my Yah and my people shall be his people and he shall be my Yah. Yah says we are getting close and then David becomes a mystery. Yah says David I want you to be a king and a priest. So David wrote worship songs but he also was an administrator. Now David commits adultery and messes things up. What happened? The kingdom is split in half after David is killed, the people divide. Yahs model is gone now, the people are scattered into Babylon. They are all messed up and the Daniel starts getting information. Daniel says look, the kingdom is still around. Yah has a kingdom idea. He's going to bring his kingdom, give it to the Saints. We get the story. Yahusha is still to come. Israel then goes into Babylon under Nebuchadnezzar; the people are there now under burdens so they went to Pharaoh. They ran to the Babylonians. They were under the Assyrians, they were under the Chaldeans, they were under oppression. I mean every single generation and oppression. Yah say I have a problem here and guess what? When the Babylonians finished then the Assyrians took them and made them slaves then they went to the amorites and the hittites and now under more bites and all the other knights in the Canaanites and they became slaves to everybody. Then FINALLY the Greeks came and the Greeks began with philosophy. This is the first empire in history who takes a model and sets it up and the model exactly like the kingdom of Yah. The Romans are the only Empire that sets up an administration that resembles the kingdom of Yah Yah sent Yahusha at the right time when every word that he speaks could be understood. Clap your hands, we will pick up here next week.

INVITATION TO KINGDOM CITIZENSHIP
Genesis chapter 1
Today we are walking in: Invitation To Kingdom Citizenship
Today we look to the word-KNOWLEDGE- H847 da'ath--knowledge, perception, skill, discernment

The Principle and Power of Kingdom Citizenship: Keys to Experiencing Heaven on Earth by Myles Munroe
INVITATION TO KINGDOM CITIZENSHIP
Most of us believe that we are from the planet Earth. And why not? Surely we’re not from Mars or Venus or some other planet.
We and billions of other people live in hundreds of different countries, large and small, that cover the face of the Earth. We order our lives according to the governments and cultures of those countries. We eat the food that the earth provides and we raise our families. It’s all we’ve ever known and it’s all our parents and grandparents and great-grandparents ever knew. We believe that we are stuck with what Earth has to offer. We limit our whole lives to what’s on the planet because that’s the way everybody has been living for thousands of years.
However—we have lost touch with reality.
Even those of us who claim to know the ultimate King (Yah) do not understand that we also belong to a country that supersedes any of the human countries we know about. We think of “the Kingdom of Yah” as a term that’s been pasted into prayers and sermons like an add-on. We don’t consider it our home country any more than Mars. We think the Kingdom of Yah and Heaven comprise some kind of invisible future destination above the clouds.
The truth about the Kingdom is difficult to get across to people. I always feel as if I’m battling against 1,800 years of mental block. We’ve been so conditioned to think “religion,” that Yah has difficulty getting through to us the real message He has delivered to us through Yahusha Hamachiach, which is about His Kingdom and how much He wants us to be full citizens of it, even while we’re still living on this globe.
His message is personal. Anybody who claims Hamachiach as Savior becomes a citizen of the Kingdom of Yah, but too many people leave their citizenship on the shelf. They consider their faith to be religion, not citizenship, and they don’t realize that it should be making a difference in every detail of their personal, earthly lives.
You cannot see citizenship; you must experience it. In the same way, you cannot see the Kingdom of Yah; you must experience it.
This series is a training guide for citizens of the Kingdom. It will help you learn about your new country. I want you not only to understand everything you can about your new country, I also want you to accept the idea that you’re living in it now, just as you have accepted the idea that Heaven is a real place where you can go after you die. The Kingdom of Yah and the Kingdom of Heaven are the same thing, you know.
Yah, the King, has set up His Kingdom so that it is composed of earthly outposts, or colonies, populated with His citizens. But the story of these colonies has not been an easy one. When Adam and Eve declared independence from Heaven, they had to set up their own government. Yah’s Ruach HaQadesh was no longer their “governor,” because they didn’t want Him to be. So Heaven started to seem like someplace far away. We lost the language, the culture, the values, the morals, the convictions, and the lifestyle that should have been the standard for any earthly colony of the Kingdom. We became aliens to Yah.
Because He wanted to turn that around, He sent His Son Yahusha to make sure we would know about the Kingdom again. Once we find out how we fit into the Kingdom of Yah, the whole thing gets reversed. We begin to feel like aliens on planet Earth. We begin to feel that we belong someplace else. We also begin to rediscover the present-day benefits that come with our heavenly citizenship.
You cannot see the Kingdom of Yah; you must experience it.
It is my great passion to introduce people to the fullness of their citizenship in this heavenly Kingdom. You will see as you read this series that the Kingdom of Yah has almost nothing to do with religion. Instead, it has everything to do with the King Himself—with replicating His character and reproducing His will on Earth. Maturing in their citizenship, Kingdom citizens grow to reflect their King’s culture, values, morals, nature, and lifestyle.
“Kingdom” is not my idea—it’s Yah’s idea. I don’t know why we ignore the obvious. Almost every book of the Bible has some reference to the Kingdom. Yahusha talked about His Father’s Kingdom all the time. But we do not. Instead, we talk about the Church and Christianity. I have a serious problem with people who define the Kingdom of Yah too narrowly, in terms of one denomination or a single ethnic expression of faith in Hamachiach. Yet I have an equally serious problem with people who define it in mushy terms, as if almost everyone living on earth is a Kingdom citizen without even thinking about it.
Like the people who are profiled in the 11th chapter of the letter to the Hebrews, we should be looking instinctively for a better country. It is called Heaven. Every one of us misses Heaven, but most of us can’t figure out what we’re missing. I’m telling you, we are missing our home country. We miss the lifestyle of peace, love, and joy. We miss the place where the streets are paved with gold and nobody has to steal it. We miss the place where the crystal-clear air is filled with joyful singing instead of smoke and gang violence. We miss our heavenly Father and our older Brother, not to mention all of our other brothers and sisters who belong to the King. We miss all of that, and somehow we think we must wait many years before we can go there.
The Kingdom of Yah is a present-tense place. It is an exciting place to call home. We have a lot to learn about it. Let’s begin to explore together!
