10% HAPPENS 90% RESPONSE

Matthew chapter 6

Today we are walking in: 10% HAPPENS 90% RESPONSE

1 Chronicles 28:9

And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind H3824: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

MIND

Today we look to the word-MIND-H3824 lebab--mind, knowledge, thinking, reflection, memory

The Torah testifies...............

And he communed with them, saying, If it be your mind H3824 that I should bury my dead out of my sight; hear me, and intreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar,

Then shall his mind H3824 change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.

The writings bear witness..........................

Job 34:33

Should it be according to thy mind H3824? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.

10% HAPPENS 90% RESPONSE

My friends, hear me carefully. Life is not determined by what happens to you, but by how you choose to interpret and respond to what happens to you. You see, we live in a world filled with situations, circumstances, and surprises. But none of these truly define who you are. It is not the event that breaks you. It is your reaction to the event that builds or destroys your peace.

I call this the 90/10 law of life. Life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond. And if you do not understand that law, you will live your whole life blaming the ten percent while losing mastery over the ninety. You will spend your energy trying to change the storm instead of commanding your spirit in the storm.

You cannot always control the environment around you, but you have been given divine power to control the environment within you. That is where your authority lives. That is where your dominion begins. You were never created to be a slave to reactions, to emotions, to anger, or to fear. You were created to govern them.

Peace is not a gift that life hands to you. Peace is a decision that you enforce every day. The people who live unshaken are not those who escape the storms. They are those who learn to stay calm in the middle of them. When everything around you seems to fall apart, you have two options: react like everyone else, or rise like you were designed to.

Because leadership—true leadership—begins with mastering yourself. Many spend years trying to control people, situations, and outcomes, but that is the domain of frustration. You cannot control every situation in life, but you can always control your spirit in it. And that is where your victory lies.

It is not in controlling the winds, but in adjusting your sail. It is not in silencing the thunder, but in learning how to stand in the rain without fear. That is why it is written, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” Because your outer life is nothing more than a reflection of your inner reaction.

If your heart is ruled by peace, your environment will follow your command. But if your heart is ruled by chaos, even peace will feel like war. Every day you are faced with ten percent of things you cannot predict. Someone disappoints you. A plan collapses. A door closes. A word wounds you. But what you do with that moment determines everything else.

The question is not what happened. The question is who are you when it happens. The reaction reveals the ruler. Your response exposes your level of emotional government. Life was never meant to manage you. You were designed to manage life.

That is what Elohim spoke to Adam in the beginning: have dominion. And that dominion was not only over animals and land, but over self, over attitude, over reaction, over the mind, over the tongue. Because until you can rule yourself, you cannot rule anything else.

So begin to look at every situation not as an enemy, but as a mirror. When trouble comes, do not ask, “Why me?” Ask, “What in me is being revealed?” That is the language of maturity. That is the conversation of kings and queens. Because the purpose of life is not to remove pressure, but to refine your peace under pressure.

The storm does not make the sailor. The storm proves the sailor.

So remember this truth. Life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond. And if you can govern your reaction, you can govern your destiny. The calmest person in the room is the most powerful person in the room. The one who controls their emotions controls their atmosphere.

That is why emotional control is not weakness. It is wisdom. It is leadership. It is spiritual maturity. And before this teaching is complete, you will understand not only why you must master your reactions, but how to do it step by step, principle by principle, until peace becomes your default and calm becomes your character.

Because the Kingdom of Elohim is not in panic. It is in power. It is not in reaction. It is in rule. And you were created to rule.

Now hear this carefully, because this principle changes how you face every challenge in life. The Kingdom of Elohim is a government of principles, not emotions. Elohim does not respond to feelings. He responds to laws. And one of those laws is the principle of reaction.

Your response determines your result. Every reaction is a reflection of who is truly ruling your heart. When someone speaks harshly and you immediately strike back, that moment exposes your master. If anger controls you, anger rules you. If peace governs you, peace leads you.

Your reaction is your testimony in motion.

It is written, “He who rules his spirit is mightier than one who takes a city.” Because ruling your inner world—your emotions and thoughts—is harder than conquering a nation. You can command armies and still be defeated by your temper. You can manage a company and still be a prisoner of your reactions.

The real battle is not outside of you. It is within you.

When the Ruach Ha’Qodesh governs a person’s heart, peace becomes their strategy. They do not fight every battle. They choose which ones deserve their breath. They do not answer every insult. They understand that silence often speaks louder than words. They do not panic when others do. They know storms are temporary, but principles are eternal.

Remember Yahusha asleep in the boat while the storm raged. The disciples reacted to the waves. Yahusha responded to the wind. Same storm. Different spirit. Peace is not the absence of storms. It is mastery within them.

He asked them, “Why are you afraid? Where is your faith?” In other words, why are you reacting to what you have already been given authority over?

Reaction comes from emotion. Response flows from understanding. Reaction is impulsive. Response is intentional. Reaction is temporary power. Response is lasting influence. Reaction is human. Response is divine.

When you understand this, you stop handing your peace to other people’s behavior. No one can steal your peace. You must surrender it. Emotional control is not optional in the Kingdom. It is essential.

Elohim does not promote those who cannot manage themselves. Promotion in the Kingdom is based on stewardship. Can you manage your temper? Can you manage criticism? Can you manage pressure?

Every irritation, delay, and disappointment is an exam in emotional government. When someone disrespects you, heaven is not watching them. Heaven is watching you.

So rule your inner atmosphere before you try to influence the outer one. Your reaction reveals your citizenship. If peace governs you, the world will see your King in your calm.

Your reaction is your reputation.

The battlefield of life is the mind. That is where reactions are born. That is why it is written, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” If the mind is not renewed, reactions will reflect the old nature.

Event. Emotion. Thought. Reaction. Outcome.

Emotionally mature people insert a pause. That pause is power. You cannot always control feelings, but you can always choose response. Peace is not a miracle. Peace is management.

Emotions are servants, not masters. When the mind leads, emotion becomes strength. Wind gives movement, but the rudder gives direction.

You are not called to react to what you see. You are called to respond from what you know.

Every emotional seed produces a relational harvest. Anger produces distance. Calm produces trust. Peace produces authority.

Renew your thoughts and your emotions will follow.

You cannot control the weather, but you can control your climate. You cannot control people, but you can control what their actions do to your spirit. That is your ninety percent.

Peace is found in managing what Elohim entrusted to you.

Yahusha stood before Pilate calm and unshaken, because He knew the limits of authority.

You cannot stop storms, but you can stop them from entering you.

Dominion is not power over others. It is power over self.

Now understand the laws of reaction management.

Pause. Never react in emotional heat. Silence is wisdom in motion.

Perspective. Ask, will this matter in a year?

Principle. Respond from values, not feelings.

Purpose. Protect your assignment from emotional sabotage.

Purposeful people do not descend into distraction. They remain focused.

Leadership is ruling self before ruling others. Temperament builds trust. Calm carries authority.

Joseph ruled his spirit, so Elohim trusted him with power.

Yahusha forgave while suffering, because love governed His spirit.

Peace is leadership influence.

Now apply this truth.

Pause. Process. Principle. Proceed.

Words steer emotions. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Speak after peace, not during fire.

Silence can be strategy.

Boundaries protect peace. Guard your heart with diligence.

Not every voice deserves access.

Even Yahusha practiced boundaries.

Peace is preserved through discipline.

You were created to manage emotion, not be managed by it.

You were born to carry peace.

The Kingdom of Elohim within you is righteousness, peace, and joy through the Ruach Ha’Qodesh.

Rule that Kingdom well.

Life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond.

And when you master that ninety percent, you will walk through every storm with calm authority—not as a victim of life, but as a vessel of heaven.
