Understanding the Principle of Keys — Part 3

Thank you for joining us for another message from Dr. Myles Munroe, provided by Munroe Global Incorporated. We transform followers into leaders and leaders into agents of change. We pray this message strengthens you as you advance your life and discover your purpose.

Today we are continuing in the series Understanding the Principle of Keys, Part 3. The word principle means first law. So we are talking about the first law of keys — the foundational laws that govern how the Kingdom of Heaven functions.

The original plan of Elohim was for mankind to rule and govern the earth on His behalf. Humanity did not fall from heaven — humanity fell from rulership over the earth. Therefore, when YAHUSHA came, He did not come to restore humanity back to heaven, but to restore humanity back to dominion over the earth.

The assignment of YAHUSHA was to reintroduce the Kingdom of Heaven back to earth — the government of Elohim — and to put mankind back into proper authority.

The goal of Elohim was never religion. It was rulership through relationship. We have turned the work of YAHUSHA into a religion, and that religion is now far removed from what Elohim intended.

YAHUSHA did not come to create a religion. He came to introduce a Kingdom in the midst of other kingdoms. This created a conflict of kingdoms — calling citizens out of one government into another.

The greatest gift sent to earth was a Kingdom.

The greatest message delivered was the Kingdom.

The greatest need of mankind is a Kingdom — a new government.

The Kingdom is the practical spiritual influence of Elohim in everyday life. The Kingdom is not coming — it is here. If you postpone the Kingdom, you can never live in it.

YAHUSHA said, “Be not afraid… I have overcome the world” (Yochanan 16:33, CĒPH). The Kingdom is not intimidated by other systems. It functions in the presence of opposition.

Kingdoms influence territory through philosophy and principles. Philosophy is a way of thinking. The word repent means change your thinking. That is why YAHUSHA’s first public message was:

“Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven has arrived.” (Mattithyahu 4:17, CĒPH)

A new Kingdom requires a new way of thinking. A new way of thinking produces new principles. New principles produce a new culture. A new culture produces a new society.

The Kingdom is not identified by labels or slogans, but by character, values, and conduct.

YAHUSHA taught the Kingdom in parables because truth cannot be forced on people who are not ready to receive it. The disciples asked Him why He spoke in parables, and He answered:

“To you it is given to know the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but to them it is not given.” (Mattithyahu 13:11, CĒPH)

A secret is only a secret to the one who does not know it. The Kingdom is not hidden from seekers — it is hidden from those who do not want to see.

He said:

“Whoever has, to him more shall be given… but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away.” (Mattithyahu 13:12, CĒPH)

Truth flows toward hunger. Revelation flows toward desire. If you stop wanting to know, understanding stops flowing.

YAHUSHA explained that the seed in the parable is not just “the word” — it is the message of the Kingdom:

“When anyone hears the message of the Kingdom and does not understand it, the wicked one comes immediately and steals what was sown in his heart.” (Mattithyahu 13:19, CĒPH)

The adversary fears only one message — the Kingdom — because the Kingdom removes dependency and restores authority.

Blessings alone are temporary. The Kingdom is a system. If you chase blessings, you will always chase. If you enter the Kingdom, blessings follow you.

YAHUSHA told His disciples:

“Seek first the Kingdom of Elohim and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Mattithyahu 6:33, CĒPH)

The Kingdom is the source. Blessings are the fruit.

Peter declared:

“You are the Mashiach, the Son of the Living Elohim.” (Mattithyahu 16:16, CĒPH)

YAHUSHA replied:

“Upon this rock I will build My Ekklesia, and the gates of She’ol shall not prevail against it.” (Mattithyahu 16:18, CĒPH)

The word Ekklesia means governing assembly — not a religious gathering, but a legislative body.

Then He said:

“I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in Heaven.” (Mattithyahu 16:19, CĒPH)

Keys represent lawful access. Heaven holds resources. The Kingdom contains supply. Keys govern transfer.

Revelation says:

“I am the Living One. I was dead, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I hold the keys of death and She’ol.” (Chazon / Revelation 1:18, CĒPH)

YAHUSHA reclaimed authority over death and transferred Kingdom authority back to humanity.

He said:

“Every teacher instructed in the Kingdom of Heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his treasure things new and old.” (Mattithyahu 13:52, CĒPH)

When you understand the Kingdom, you shift from being a borrower to being an owner.

The Kingdom of Elohim is within you. The government of Heaven resides inside the citizen. When you walk into a place, Heaven walks in with you.

You do not carry your own strength — you carry the authority of your King.

The Kingdom is not an event.

The Kingdom is not a feeling.

The Kingdom is a government.

And the Kingdom has come.
