Sow Your Seed and Release Your Faith.

Genesis 26:1-6,12-14; Exodus 5:1, 14:13; 3:21; Romans 8:28; 1 Corinthians 13:8; Isaiah 55:9; Hebrews 11:6; Malachi 3:7-12; Proverbs 10:22; 1 Kings 17:15-12; Matthew 6:33; Luke 6:38

We are walking in today: Sow Your Seed and Release Your Faith.

Genesis 26:1-6,12-14 1)And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar. 2) And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: 3) Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; 4) And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; 5) Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. 6) And Isaac dwelt in Gerar. 12) Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. 13) And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: 14) For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him. The word "famine" found in the above passage of scripture comes from a Hebrew word meaning dearth or extensive hunger; it also means scarcity or lack. Famine in our lives can take many forms-- spiritual, physical, financial, or even emotional "dearth". Do you feel like there is a famine going on in your life? Many people would say the United States is in a financial famine. But I would suggest that there are many people facing famines on several fronts. The good news is that God's word gives us the principals for victory in the middle of a famine. Consider the story of Isaac in Genesis 26, Isaac was living in a place called Gerar when famine struck the region. His first inclination was to flee the area and go down to Egypt, hoping things would be better there. To the natural mind, that approach to the problem he was facing makes sense and most people would do the same. But God spoke to Isaac and told him to handle the situation in a manner that was completely unconventional and illogical to man's way of thinking. Fiveamprayer you must get this one in order to not miss your season of abundance. Setting aside for this prayer conference is an act of your faith. I know some have said seventy-five dollars is a lot right now, but don't miss your season of harvest. We have the opportunity to sow our first seed into the house of God in our first prayer conference. Here was God's prescription for victory for Isaac: Do not go down to Egypt--in other words, don't follow conventional wisdom, follow the word of God!!!! In scripture, Genesis 26:2 the place "Egypt" is symbolic of the world, the world system, or the devils way of doing things as opposed to God's way. This command from the Lord applied to your life situation means that you should not run to the world or the world's system for answers or for an escape. If you do, you will only reap more trouble. Remember this is the land that Israel ends up fleeing from years and years later. Exodus 5:1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness. Exodus 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. Exodus 3:21 And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Look at how the Lord brought the children of Israel out of bondage and hard labor in Egypt. We have to trust in the Lord. There were times that Israel did not think that what Moses was telling them was correct. There is no one who can do what God can do, so why would your seek answers from any other source?!! Sojourn In This Land!!! Genesis 26:3 simply translated means stay put--follow the word, where ever it leads!!! It is human nature to want to look for greener pastures when the circumstances we are in get uncomfortable. God's plan for your victory requires your cooperation and obedience to the Lord. God wants you to remain steadfast in your situation (not to run away) and apply God's directions to your famine. For example, if your marriage is facing a famine of love, don't run away from it as the world suggest to you. Instead apply God's word to your marriage, it will turn things around because as it says in 1 Corinthians 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. The Lord has promised--love never fails! Sow seed in the middle of the famine!! Genesis 26:12 Natural human wisdom would instruct a farmer not to waste his seed during a drought because the dry conditions will never produce a harvest. As it says in Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. That is exactly what God instructed Isaac to do-- sow seed in a year of famine. Isaac took action by faith, trusting in God's word to him, even though the word was contrary to man's logic. He sowed his precious seed during a drought condition and expected a harvest. Look at Isaac's faith in action. Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Genesis 26:12 reveals what happened: Then Isaac sowed seed in that land and recieved in the same year a hundred times as much as he had planted, and the Lord favored him with blessings. (Amplified Bible) Your circumstances might appear hopeless to the natural eye and the thought of pouring out time, love, energy, or money may seem like a waste to those around you. But understand that God delights to bringing forth a hundred-fold harvest in the middle of a famine for those who dare to believe His word!!! God loves to prove Himself faithful to His word through the lives of His people. He demonstrated this to the Philistines in Isaac's day (who represents those who do not know God) that the person who listens to and obeys the voice of God will be blessed. Genesis 26:12-14 tells us: "the Lord blessed him (Isaac), and the man became rich, and continued to grow richer until he became very wealthy, and the Philistines envied him." God wants to demonstrate to the world through your life that very same principle. Though at times God's way may seem contrary to your own logic, you can be assured that God's word always works and will bring a harvest-- even in a time of famine!!! Sow your seed!!! Yea and Amen!!!!
God is doing a new thing. We are walking in abundance. Sow your seed when there is a famine in the land. Are you trusting the world's way or God's way. Just in case you weren't aware, most of the difficulties we experience is from not doing things God's way. Because we think we have a better answer--it seems to make more sense to us. So is that operating in man's thoughts or faith in the Most High God?! Do what God has said. Sometimes with finances we would say, "we can't afford to tithe or give a seed." The fact is that we can not afford not to give a tithe or sow a seed. Malachi 3:7-12 7) Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return? 8) Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9) Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10) Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11) And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. 12) And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts. Does that explain why you have holes in your pockets? Trying to be blessed doing things the world's way is a recipe for defeat every time. As Pastor Taffe taught on yesterday, that as tithers we can go back to God and when our finances seem out of order and pull on Malachi 3:11 because we each have a part to play. We pay our tithes and offerings (sow a seed) and the Lord rebukes the devourer for our sakes. The word tells us in, Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. The Lord is pouring out blessings, that are exceedingly abundant. Sow and release your faith: when there is a famine in the land; difficulties in your marriage. It is time to have faith in the word of God. Isaac took action on what God told Him. On Gospelcntro last Saturday the show focused on being obedient to God. God's way always works! Thank You for teaching us this morning, Lord. Listen, fiveamprayer to God's word, "sow in a time of famine in the land." We lift up fiveamprayer, let them know that all sufficiency is found in You, our source for everything. We lift up prayer requests, those known and unknown. The Lord will keep us in perfect peace with our minds stayed on Him. There is nothing too hard for God. We must sow a seed and release our faith. Forgive us for holding on to things. You told us this morning that there is an exchange going on, we must let things go to receive from You, to be filled by You. Like forgiving others so that we too can be forgiven. Showing that we trust You, by sowing a seed when there is a famine in the land. Thank You Lord for coming to tell us how to be increased by You--sowing a seed during a famine. 1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. Thank You Lord for what You are doing in our lives. If He did it for Jabez, He can do it for us. If He did it for Isaac, He can do it for us. If He did it for Moses, He can do it for us. If He did it for Jesus, He can do if for us--resurrect us into a new life with Him. Thank You Lord!

We write in the precious blood: I will sow my seed and release my faith.

Welcome to the overflow...
No matter how it looks in the natural--don't eat your last seed. 1 Kings 17:15-12 12) And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. 13) And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. 14) For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth. 15) And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. The widow woman, sowed a seed while in the mist of a famine. The cake that she makes for Elijah was her last in the natural, yet her obedience fed her whole house for many days. Sow your seed and release your faith. All you need is mustard seed faith. It's harvest time--sow your seed and release your faith. Fiveamprayer, we must confess, "abundance is God's will for me and I will not settle for anything less!" Fiveamprayer, we get up early seeking a word from God--what is the good and right way. In so doing we shall have what it says in, Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. We must have seed in the ground to produce a harvest. Sow your seed and release your faith: for your marriages, for your businesses, for those looking for a job. Thank You for Your peaceful presence this morning Lord. He came that we would have life more abundantly. "Trust Me," says the Lord, 'I will bring it to pass." Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Fiveamprayer, you can't beat God at giving, no matter how hard you try! We receive Your word, God. Thank You for teaching us! To God be the glory! Somebody shout increase, overflow, overabundance and overplus! Say the prayer of Jabez today. Have a blessed day.
