We Must Ask God to Cover Our Thoughts.

Proverbs 23:7; Genesis 6:5; Psalm 19:14; Matthew 13:23; John 15:4; Romans 8:38-39, 7:19; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Job 23:13; James 1:8; Psalms 23:3; Luke 12:1; Joshua 5:13; 2 Kings 11:6; Luke 6:45; Psalm 139:14; Romans 12:2; John 5:19; Matthew 4:4; Joshua 24:15; Deuteronomy 30:19; Exodus 33:19; Psalm 8:4-6; Philippians 4:8; 1 Chronicles 4:10

We are walking in today: We Must Ask God to Cover Our Thoughts.

Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. As you watch what you say, ask God to cover your thoughts. We are composed of a body, soul, and spirit. Body--anything physical about you. Soul--emotion, ego, identity, will, logic mind, subconscious mind, all that is not body. Spirit--anything that is not body or soul. The subconscious mind is the way or path that our spirit speaks to God through. This is where God lives in us. As a man thinketh in his heart is referring to, your ego--your subconscious identity of yourself. The core of you. The part that drives you but from the background where you are not even aware of it. The subconscious mind pushes you according to how it is programmed. It will be programmed by whatever prevalent thoughts it receives. You can control those or not. Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. Fiveamprayer, let us feed our minds a steady diet of two testaments full of 66 books, for our seeds of truth to edified. Matthew 13:23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. Be aware of the seeds planted in your mind. John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. Abide is defined to remain stable or fixed in a state ; to continue in a place. You know when you have your mind made up and no one can change it. Some call it stubborn, others focused, either way your mind needs to be fully on the word of God. Romans 8:38-39 38) For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39) Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Your sub mind will operate on what it is fed. Regardless of what your logical mind says. Romans 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. That is because your sub mind is programming your actions and you may have let 'weeds' program it. When you dwell or abide in Gods word, you are programming His truth into the control room of your heart. Which is your subconscious mind. You are now taking control of what you put into your sub mind and ordering it to follow God's word. Not the junk from the world it has been receiving. Seeds fall as the wind blows them and they grow where they can take root. Seeds of thought--even wrong thoughts, will grow in your sub mind just as quickly and easily as God's seeds of truth. This is why I say guard your mind. Turn off the TV. Cancel the newspaper. Feed your mind God's thoughts. Let Him live in your mind and control it. Then you can then say, "as a man thinketh (through God) so is he." A lot of it in a way is semantics, but the old world definition of heart is really your subconscious mind--the core of your being. It is your radio to God. It is from your sub mind that you hear God when He speaks to you. This is your control room. I think of it as windows running in the background of your computer. The computer represents your life and the windows your subconscious. No matter what you logically tell your computer to do, it will always do whatever windows has been programmed to do. So it is the same with your life. As a man thinketh in his heart (how your subconscious has been programmed), so is he, because your subconscious mind is you. This is what dictates how you act, what you say, what results you get, everything about you comes from here. The world (satan's system) wants to program your sub mind for you. He knows as well as we do, how to operate in our minds. Think of all of the attacks in the mind: fear, doubt, worry--devices of the devil. 2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. In fact he knows even more than we do, because most people will not study how the mind works. Which we can do in studying the word of God. To change who we serve, we must know this. We have to program ourselves with God fruit instead of letting satan's weeds grow. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God. Words are seeds we can nurture them or pull them up with our words. Job 23:13 But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth. The Lord accomplishes what ever He puts His mind to, we have that same power. James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. We have to plant the seeds to get the crop. If we do not consciously plant a crop, any old crop will grow, and guess who is planting the seed? The world--satan's system. You do not just wish good things to happen here. You have to make them happen, making things happen takes effort and so people (generally) do not program their minds for righteousness. Psalms 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. And so, weeds grow. This is why you should never listen to words that attack your self-esteem. Luke 12:1 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. Jesus said "Be careful how you listen." I believe he was also saying, 'Be careful how you hear and allow into your guarded mind, because untruth will program you just as much as the real truth will'. Because our minds work this way, and because of the power of whatever seeds you are planting in your subconscious mind, you can begin to see the power that your associations have on you. Are you letting the TV and its negative messages into your mind? Are the books you read, positive and edifying to you? Are your friends loving and supporting of you, or do they try to knock you and are sarcastic and critical of you? Remember, your subconscious will feed on whatever it is given. Guard your mind if you want to control your future. Amen God! As a man thinketh so is he! Watch what you say, fiveamprayer!
We are walking in being transformed by the renewing of our minds. We must ask God to cover our thoughts. They are too important to leave uncovered. There are things that are necessary to protect, your heart especially which leads to what you speak. The same it true for your thoughts. The things that you ponder will eventually lead to your destiny. The Lord keeps us in perfect peace--even peace of mind with our minds stayed on Him. Don't just let any thought have free reign in your mind. No matter what we see, we know that God is able. We are walking by faith and not by sight. The enemy comes to plant seeds of doubt and fear in our minds. Be on guard, we are told to pray without ceasing, we must also be on watch for attacks, especially in the mind. If those seeds of fear and doubt take root, we will tear down what we are building, causing a delay. Which could lead to frustration and give up. That is the devil's plan all along. He does not want us to walk in what God has for us, for it ties in to his undoing. Fiveamprayer, we must be on guard like Joshua 5:13
And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? Every thought does not get the freedom to roam all throughout your mind. We must guard our gates, in the old days, the gates to a town would be shut at at certain time and then only when those on the wall or who can look out would permit others to enter. 2 Kings 11:6 And a third part shall be at the gate of Sur; and a third part at the gate behind the guard: so shall ye keep the watch of the house, that it be not broken down. We must stay on guard and keep watch at all times, Fiveamprayer. We are watching what we say, but are we watching what we think. As a man thinks so is he. Have a made up mind. Is your mind set on God?! Feed your mind the word of God. Cancel the newspaper, turn off the tv. Your thoughts become your destiny. Feed your mind the word, if not it will feed on what ever is available. Walk in obedience to the word. God is doing a new thing. Luke 6:45
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. Just because you didn't say it, you may be thinking it. It is only a matter of time before what you think will be spoken. That is why we are to meditate, continually think on, God's word so that will be all that we speak. As a man thinks so is he. We are as it says in Psalm 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Are your thoughts reflecting this scripture? Are we in awe of the Lord, that we are His creation? The thoughts that you are thinking, are they what our Creator would have you to think? Thank You for Your word, Lord. Don't think that you are defeated, our Father has never lost a fight and we take after our Father. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Fiveamprayer who are you conformed to? Conformed is defined as to give the same shape, outline, or contour to; bring into harmony or accord; to be similar or identical; to be in agreement or harmony; to be obedient or compliant. What is your life contoured to? What do you resemble? Who are you in harmony with? What are you in agreement with? Where does your obedience lie? When others see you, are they seeing a child of God or a child of the world? A child of God, is like a natural child, they will seek after their Father, doing what they see Him do. We find this is illustrated by Jesus in John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. Fiveamprayer, who are you following after? As a man thinks so is he. Thank You Lord for daily bread, the word we can read daily. Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Thank You for brand new mercies. We are not of this world-- walk according to the word. Line up with His precepts. Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Many of us have already chosen to serve God. We must be and remain totally committed in our words and our thoughts. Don't straddle the fence, one foot in the world and one foot with the Lord. That is not making a choice. You have to let somethings go and be fully committed to your choice. Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live. As the Lord told the Israelites, He also tells us, choose life. Is it gonna be God's way or the world's way? We must filter somethings out of our minds. Who are we gonna serve death or eternal life? We are transformed by the renewing of our mind. Fiveamprayer, ask God to cover your thoughts. They lead to your destiny. They must be protected. Pastor Taffe taught last week that we can prayerfully ponder the promises of God. We must keep looking at the promise until the promise that we are looking at becomes what we see. What is on your mind? Are you thinking about God's word? An idle mind is the devils playground. Look at the Bible, there is so much in there to ponder. You could read it forever and the Lord would still be revealing more and more unto you. Idle is defined as not occupied or employed; inactive; not turned to normal or appropriate use; not scheduled to compete. Are we unemployed in the word? Is it working in our lives. Are we working the word in our lives. What is our part? We must have the word active in our lives, not sitting on the shelf collecting dust, we have to walk it out. We are created to accomplish what the Bible sets forth for us to do. Are we being used appropriately? Exodus 33:19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. We are His chosen, He can use us as He wills. We must keep our minds pure and focused on Him. You have got to ask the Lord to cover your mind. Are you letting others tell you who you are? Well you are a child of the Most High God--think like it, speak like it and walk like it!! Hold on to what God said, Psalm 8:4-6 4) What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5) For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6) Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet. Let the naysayers motivate you while walking it out in faith. We lift up fiveamprayer, we ask You to cover our minds and renew us. We will bless the Lord anyhow. Hold on to His promises--they shall come to pass. We lift up prayer requests those known and unknown. We lift up Marisa's mind in preparation for surgery, we ask that You would plant a seed of healing in her mind, by His stripes she is healed. We ask for forgiveness, we must bring our thoughts in line with your word. Our thoughts lead to our destiny. We must remain humble. Thank You Lord for forgiving us, for when You forgive there is no condemnation. Have us to forgive ourselves, let go of guilt is serves no Godly purpose. We can think ourselves into a depression. Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. As a man thinks so is he. Walk in Proverbs 23:7 today. Read the scriptures for yourself. You should be reading 1 Chronicles 4:10 every day, now Jabez was not holding to what his mom said about him. Look at his name sorrow, Jabez held to what God said about him.

We write in the precious blood: 1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Welcome to the overflow...
Somebody made a request to be lined up with His word. You asked for your thoughts to be in line and directed towards God. He has granted what you have requested. Thank You Lord!! We can't keep putting in junk and expecting a good response. Who the Son sets free is free indeed. Fiveamprayer, we are free in our minds!! So many of us seem ok and walking around peaceful, yet raging and stormy on the inside. Don't just give your body and words over to the Lord, give Him your mind also. We can speak the word over ourselves to encourage ourselves. Wait for the promise to come to pass, for it shall deliver. It will speak and not lie. Hallelujah! Walk in this word today. Be encouraged. Keep your mind on guard. Just because you ain't saying it does not mean that you are not thinking it. No matter how you feel, the joy of the Lord is our strength. Abundance is God's will for me and I will not settle for less. We can do all things through Christ which strengthens us. What are you thinking? Ask God to cover, shield and protect your thougths. Hallelujah! The devil is already defeated! As a man thinks so is he. Have a blessed day!
