SHAVUOT: The Song of Moses!!!

Deuteronomy chapter 31

Today we are walking in: SHAVUOT: The Song of Moses!!!

Today we look to the word ORDER-- H6186-`arak-- to arrange, set or put or lay in order, set in array, prepare, order, ordain, handle, furnish, esteem, equal, direct, compare

The Torah testifies...............

Exodus 40:4

And thou shalt bring in the table, and set in order H6186 the things that are to be set in order H6186 upon it; and thou shalt bring in the candlestick, and light the lamps thereof.

The prophets proclaim..................

Isaiah 9:7

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order H6186 it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

The writings bear witness............

Ecclesiastes 12:9

And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order H6186 many proverbs.

Deuteronomy Chapter 31

31 And Moses went and spake these words unto all Israel.

2 And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the Lord hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

3 The Lord thy God, he will go over before thee, and he will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them: and Joshua, he shall go over before thee, as the Lord hath said.

4 And the Lord shall do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites, and unto the land of them, whom he destroyed.

5 And the Lord shall give them up before your face, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you.

6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

7 And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the Lord hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.

8 And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

9 And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and unto all the elders of Israel.

10 And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles,

11 When all Israel is come to appear before the Lord thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing.

12 Gather the people together, men and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the Lord your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:

13 And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the Lord your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.

14 And the Lord said unto Moses, Behold, thy days approach that thou must die: call Joshua, and present yourselves in the tabernacle of the congregation, that I may give him a charge. And Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in the tabernacle of the congregation.

15 And the Lord appeared in the tabernacle in a pillar of a cloud: and the pillar of the cloud stood over the door of the tabernacle.

16 And the Lord said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.

17 Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?

18 And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods.

19 Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.

20 For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers, that floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant.

21 And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware.

22 Moses therefore wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Israel.

23 And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I sware unto them: and I will be with thee.

24 And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,

25 That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying,

26 Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.

27 For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the Lord; and how much more after my death?

28 Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them.

29 For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.

30 And Moses spake in the ears of all the congregation of Israel the words of this song, until they were ended.

Understanding the Law!!! Part 2

Matthew chapter 5

Today we are walking in: Understanding the Law!!! Part 2

Today we look to the word GRACE--H2580 chen -- Grace, Favor, Gracious, Pleasant, Precious, Wellfavored

The Torah testifies.........……

Exodus 33:13
Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace H2580 in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace H2580 in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

The prophets proclaim..................

Jeremiah 31:2
Thus saith the Lord, The people which were left of the sword found grace H2580 in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

The writings bear witness............

Psalms 84:11
For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace H2580 and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Do not think nor conceive in your thoughts that I came to destroy the law!!! Yahusha says I didn't come to abolish, I didn't come to destroy or set aside or invalidate or cancel or eradicate the law!!! Why was He so insistent about this? Because He knew that religion would sneak into His kingdom and begin to make people believe that they can live on grace alone! The word grace is the word charis. Charis, write that down. It's a Greek word used in the New Testament, which comes from the root word, chairō it means the ability. So grace means to be given the ability? So the real question is, to do what? Grace is given, to give you the ability to keep the law because you cannot keep it without grace! Oh this is so important!! I am going to say that again, you have been given grace to keep the laws of the Most High!!! Do you know that all the lawyers here will tell you, That there are two laws in every law: there's one called the letter of the law. Then there's the spirit of the law. The Bible says the letter killeth. Why? It becomes a ritual but the spirit gives life. It becomes application!!!! The meaning is put back into it, so Yahushua HaMaschiach says I didn't come to destroy the law I came to fulfill! Matter of fact, let's look at that real quick Matthew 13:52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old. Yahushua said therefore every teacher of the law who has been instructed about what? The kingdom of heaven, is like an owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old treasures. Every teacher of what? The law. That means you keep the laws of The Most High. If you are instructed in the Kingdom. That is the return of The Most High's government, in your life!! You will be a person who brings new things and old things to life!! He's saying, when you get born again you are so glad you have the Ruach HaKodesh and you get so excited! The Most High says good, but you don't throw away the old stuff!! Thou still, shall not steal. He says, look the kingdom gives you new life but the new life doesn't destroy the old laws!!! Thou still, shall not bear false witness. You still, shall not commit adultery! You still, shall not kill!! Freedom without law is anarchy! I cannot teach the kingdom of The Most High without teaching the law of The Most High!! I am going to say that again, I cannot teach the kingdom of the Most High without teaching, the law of the Most High! Fiveamprayer, you've been restored back to The Most High!! That's the new experience in salvation but the old part is, now you can keep the laws!! I've given you the ability to keep the law! That's why the Ruach HaKodesh lives in you. Do you know who the Ruach HaKodesh is?? The Ruach HaKodesh is a lawyer. The Bible calls him the counselor. This is the exact word used in the Bible for lawyer. His job is to help you understand the law so you can keep it. That's why you feel conviction. Conviction is the lawyer working hard, the lawyer saying no, no--don't do that!!! No, no, no, that's not the thing to do!! Don't break that law, that's called conviction! Here you are about to do something and you feel guilty. That's the law kicking in. It is the Ruach HaKodesh, saying look, based on the document you can't do this! But guess what? You can still press the accelerator and run that red light! All of us live a temptation every day. I remember one time I was going home. I stopped at the red light down there and there was no car coming. Now I know that you all have never done this! I know you all are holy people! I sat there at the red light, I just stayed there. It was late in the evening and I looked left and right and this spirit spoke to me and said “look there is no car coming anyhow, no one will see you run the red light. Then I heard a voice in my car say but, “I will.” We forget about the government. The Most High says I will write my laws on your mind so that you will need no man to tell you to do this or do that anymore. And I sat there at the red light with deep conviction trying to control myself. Sometimes we as people, set ourselves up. After the movie you go down by the beach just to see the ocean saying we just want to watch the ocean, that's all. Then someone says I'm cold! Come close to warm me up. Then all of a sudden--the lawyer wakes up and says I think you better go home now. You tell the lawyer, “in a few minutes” and you keep going. The Bible says he who was tempted, is tempted because he's drawn away by his own lust and when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin. As soon as sin is complete it brings forth death. This is no mystery, it's the law at work. The new salvation--doesn't destroy the old laws!! It destroys religious laws! Religion can kill you, but not the laws of The Most High. Matthew 23 verse 13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Yahushua said to the crowds and to his disciples which means this is for everybody! He said those who teach the law of The Most High, like the Pharisees. They sit in Moses' seat, He says. In other words if they read the laws that The Most High gave, you must obey them. Don’t do what they do. What is He doing? He is purifying the law. He is saying even if a demon says thou shalt not steal, that's the truth! Now don't be like the demon, but do what the demon said because he just said the law of The Most High! This also means then that when you say things like we are a Hebraic community, it doesn't mean everybody is a Hebrew. What it means this community has decided to live according to the laws and principles of The Most High, even if the person who's quoting them aren’t Hebrew, the law is good, even if the person quoting the law, isn’t good. In other words the law is more powerful than the person who's quoting it. The law is pure by itself, he says, obey them and do everything they tell you--but do not do what they do. For they do not practice what they are teaching! Listen to them but don't follow them. Can I say it again? Listen, if they quote the word hear them, but don't follow them, if they don’t obey the word! This is why there are some people I can not associate with. They quote the Word of The Most High, I say yes that's the truth but I can't be with you. You don't practice what you preach! I can't be with you. I can't do what you do. This is why some people have to leave some churches now, because they know that the people who are quoting the law are not living the law that they are quoting. The Most High says, you can't be with them. And sometimes they quote it so nice it makes you shout. Thou shalt not commit adultery! You get all excited, while you know they are sleeping around!! They’re not practicing what they are teaching Yahushua says. In this ministry we want to keep The Most High's law!! Amen!! The law means the original precepts and principles of The Most High. That's the law, it doesn't mean rituals. It means the standards of The Most High set for all creation. You’re going to keep those. Prophets means the individuals who declare them. HaMaschiach says I didn't come to destroy the law or the prophets, I didn't come to cancel Moses nor what he said. That's what he meant! He said follow Moses, I didn't come to destroy Elijah and what he prophesied. He prophesied my word and Elijah is the channel. I didn't come to cancel any of the prophets nor what they said. He’s protecting his own integrity because it was he who spoke to them!!! I didn't come to destroy the law and the prophets. Ladies and gentlemen--the best part of this is, this is a good deal for me. I got a good deal and here's the deal, The Most High says whoever teaches others to keep the law, shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. My future is guaranteed. I'm a great woman!! Why? Because those who teach others to keep the law shall be called great in the kingdom of The Most High. Now the beauty of it is you can be great too!! How? By leaving this service today and going to work on Monday and telling everybody you meet about the laws of The Most High and encourage them to keep them. If you do that The Most High's doing, He will call you great in the kingdom of The Most High!! Give The Most High a praise!! Thank you Abba!!! Amen, amen, amen, amen and amen!!!

Understanding the Law!!! Part 1

Matthew chapter 5

Today we are walking in: Understanding the Law!!! Part 1

Today we look to the word LAW-- H2706-choq-- statute, ordinance, limit, something prescribed, due, prescribed task, action prescribed (for oneself), resolve, enactment, decree, ordinance, specific decree, law in general, statutes, conditions, civil enactments prescribed by The Most High

The Torah testifies...............

Exodus 13:9

And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the Lord's law H2706 may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the Lord brought thee out of Egypt.

The prophets proclaim..................

Jeremiah 31:33

But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law H2706 in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

The writings bear witness............

1 Kings 2:3

And keep the charge of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law H2706 of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself:

Fiveamprayer, today our focus is understanding the nature of law. I am going to say that again, understanding the nature of law. What is happening to my life, is a result of keeping laws. You obey the Most High's laws, things come to you. If you disobey the Most High’s laws, things move away from you. So our focus today is understanding, what? The nature of law. We want to zero in on why law is necessary. Every time you hear the word law in the context of the traditional evangelical Christian doctrine, you become afraid, so I want to show you without a doubt--that the Most High, does not operate outside of laws!! He is the Most High of law! Let's begin with a few statements I wanted to make a note of:

The purpose and the passion of the Most High, for you and all of mankind is a very simple one. He wanted to establish His heavenly kingdom on earth. And we will keep repeating that here on Fiveamprayer forever! The earth was made for mankind, heaven is the home of the Most High!

A kingdom is not a religion. A kingdom is a country and countries are built on law. All countries, the Kingdom of Heaven is the first country in existence. It's invisible, but it precedes every other nation in existence. It's the first country in existence, created by The Most High Himself and heaven operates on laws. If you don't believe me, then explain why hasatan/Lucifer was ejected from heaven?? He violated the law!!! You don't try to be the Most High!! Every angel, the Bible says, has a state. The word state here means position and hasatan whose name was Lucifer at that time, was responsible for the department of culture. The Bible talks about Lucifer being the director of music and also director of sound in heaven. He was in charge of culture. He was responsible for the atmosphere in heaven and I want to warn those of you who are in the area of culture. Because culture requires visibility, when you are involved in culture. Whether it is dance or music or public speaking or any kind of artistic work. You will notice that you are always up front and that can go to your head. Because people begin to look at you and you begin to hear their response and you get confused and you think it's about you, This is why most of our entertainers keep falling whether it is in the church or in the secular environment. They keep falling, because when you are on the stage--there's a temptation to believe that it's about you. And the Most High will pull the rug quickly! So there's law in heaven, don't violate the laws of position! Nations are built on law!

Living in a kingdom requires submission to law. So to live in the kingdom of the Most High, you must submit to law as you do in all countries. Why do you stop at a stop sign? That is submission. You hold in your hands perhaps a hundred and fifty horsepower engine, you got the power to run that light, but why do you stop? It's called submission. Submission always implies the presence of power. This is why the Most High told the woman to submit to the man. It's a sign that the woman is perhaps more powerful than the man and the greatest mistake men make--is they believe they are more powerful than a woman. If you don't believe me, study history and see what destroyed most of the leaders of men! They miscalculated the power of the woman if you don't believe me. Ask Adam. Ask Samson. Ask Joseph--she made him run out with his clothes off!!

Submission therefore indicates that you have the power to break a law. The reason why there's breaks in your car, is proof that you have power. The only way for you to live on earth successfully is to use your brakes. Your life must be under control. The Bible calls it self discipline. Discipline means you have the power to break the law. So all nations operate on law and the citizens must obey, submit to and they must be under law--in order for the country to be orderly. If everybody ran the red light, could you imagine? There would be chaos in our country. Thou shalt not steal, it's a law. If everybody walked into your house, off the street and started taking your furniture and your food and walking out of the house--there would be chaos! It's called home invasion. Law preserves the country.

Law is the key to successful living in all nations. Show me a country that is deteriorating and I will show you a country where the citizens are disobeying the law! Stop cursing the law! Law is the greatest gift The Most High gave to creation! What keeps planets from colliding? It is law. What keeps this earth spinning on its axis? It is law. What keeps you standing upright? It's the law of gravity. Everything has to do with law. Don’t believe that the law of gravity must be followed? Go to a 10-story building and tell gravity, I defy you! Then jump off the building--gravity will do its job. You will be recalled back to heaven!

I want to show you a scripture, that you never saw before, at least you thought you saw it before. It's found in Luke chapter 16, Yahushua makes a statement concerning the permanence of law, which means that law will never go away. Don't you ever think that grace came to cancel, law. Grace came to magnify the keeping of law which we will discuss later on.

Verse 16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. 17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

So let’s take a look at this slowly. This is the Mashiach speaking concerning the law--He says the law and the prophets were proclaimed up until who? John, okay fine. Then John came, what did he bring? He introduced the kingdom and the king. So it says, since that time the good news of the kingdom of The Most High is being preached and everyone is forcing their way into it! The kingdom! They're trying to find it! Okay so, we are excited about the kingdom! Becoming kingdom citizens--we are excited, but you are getting what you call saved. This is really about citizenship! The forefathers of the church got you excited about being saved by grace--now Yahushua, knows us very well. He's the King, He says look, I'm gonna bring you into My kingdom. Again look at that, I'm preaching the good news of the country of The Most High again, but he puts forth this statement

He said it is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the least stroke of a pen to drop out of the law. What He is doing, He's balancing quickly--I'm gonna give you the kingdom but you better keep the law. I'm gonna give you grace but you better keep the law. I'm going to give you salvation but you better keep the law. Look at His words again, He says the good news of the kingdom is being preached, however it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away before one stroke of the pen is moved from the law. In other words thou still, shall not commit adultery. Thou still, shall not bear false witness. Thou still, shall not work seven days and kill yourself, rest on the Sabbath, it is the law.

Look at another statement, law and principles. Everybody write quickly this--is important. Law and principles protect products. When you buy a CD player, a telephone, a refrigerator, or a car they always send with those products a little booklet. That booklet is a law, the book tells you what to do and what not to do with the product. It tells you how the product functions. It tells you how to make sure it functions successfully. It also tells you what they call, cautions. Every manual has a page called caution. Caution means don't do this, thou shalt not operate this iron, near water. Thou shalt not put thy finger in the socket when thou puts the iron in the socket. Thou shalt not take the iron and put it in a tub while you are in the tub and it is plugged in. In other words these are the, thou shalt not’s or cautions for that product. But we hate thou shalt nots!! But it's the thou shall not’s that protect us!! Don't get me wrong--every manual also has thou shall. Thou shall plug it in. Thou shall turn it on. Thou shalt select the proper heat settings. So in the owner's manual you have them both, the thou shall’s and the thou shall not’s!

What we have missed in our lives is, we are trying to live in the kingdom of The Most High--so much on grace, that we violate the laws of it! I am gonna say that again, we try to live in the kingdom of the Most High so much on grace that we violate the laws of it! Law protects!! Law protects you. Law protects me.

This is something that parents taught their children about following the laws a number of years ago. Making sure children grew up to be law abiding citizens! Chastisement, correction and punishment, is protection. We don't have enough of that in families anymore. We got parents discussing things with kids--negotiating with teenagers! Are you crazy?? My mother had a fantastic forehand! She could hit you around the corner and you asked who hit me and she's in the kitchen. She knew how to apply reminders, that there are laws in this house. And the reason why people break law in society is because they never kept a law in their home. Law, protects.

Law and principles preserve the product. If it tells you to change the oil in your car every 5,000 miles. It's trying to tell you to preserve your engine. People are strange--they ignore the manufacturer--they will drive a car into the ground. That oil change light comes on and they won’t change the oil. When you open your drivers side door, there's a little white paper with notes and dates on it. Some of you never read that before, it's supposed to preserve your car because on it it has the laws of transmission and oil change and tire pressure levels. Your car was supposed to last for 15 years but it lasts for 10 because you violated the laws. You did not preserve the car by obedience to law.

Law and principles, serve the product. When you receive a law from a manufacturer, it actually serves the product. It keeps the product for you. This is why the manual exists. The manual is designed to protect and preserve and to serve the product. When The Most High gives us His laws--those laws serve us, they don't hurt us! They don't take away from us, they add to us! Laws and principles guarantee product function. If you want your life to function efficiently--then study the laws of the manufacturer that made you! If you want your stove or your car or your CD player to function properly, then you must study the laws of the manufacturer. There is something that happens with manuals--every time we buy a product, that little book is on top and we can't wait to get to the TV, right? We grabbed the book and threw it on the side. We start taking out the styrofoam. We are just going in there and grabbing that flat screen. Yes!! Then what do we do next? We go straight to the plug and then we start, experimenting trying to find the channels. Why? Because all the instructions are on the floor. We ignore the laws provided by the manufacturer. Where the law is absent, experimentation is necessary. This is important, law guarantees effective function. Laws and principles simplify product operation. Simplicity, this one's important. That is a big word simplicity. Laws simplify life! Young people, I beg you to listen to me. Life is not

complicated. When you are living your life outside of the laws of the principles of the Most High, you will have a life of regrets! Now you have memories that you don't like to remember! There are some memories you have that you always try to hide because you are so ashamed of them. Because you violated some law--ten years ago. The Most High gives you laws so you'll enjoy your memories. Laws simplify life. The Bible says, how can a young man keep his way pure? By adhering to the laws of The Most High, it says. Don't trust your

friends--they are not the law. Matter of fact they got their own laws, they'll make you obey. You need to stay with the Manufacturer's Book and say I want to study the law! I'm 16, but I want to know the law. I'm 20, but I want to know the law. I'm 35 and I want to know the law. I'm 42 years old and I want to know the law. I am 55 years old and I want to know the law. I'm 69 and I need to know the law. Why do we need to know the law? Because the law will make life simple. Let me give an example. Did your car come with an owners manual from the manufacturer?? This is actually the law of operating your car. This book tells you what to put in the car, what kind of oil, what type of gasoline. Am I right? Can you choose to use a different oil than what the manual says? Can you pump a different type of gasoline in your car? Will you get the best result out of your car? But what about the built-in laws?? Built-in law that your car requires gasoline--if you run out, do you need to pray? No! Do you need to fast? Do you need some prophets to prophesy? Do you need some CDs from TD Jakes and Joyce Meyer? Do you need to attend a conference in California? No!!! If your car has run out of gas--life is simple. Find a station and put some gas in. You've got to simplify life. The reason why we are confused about daily decisions is because we don't know

the laws of daily life! Do you know what to do in every

situation? That's the question, we are gonna look at today. Why are some of you victims to the law of confusion? What we need to do is simplify life, learn the laws!

Law and principles bring peace and confidence. Your car is on empty, you don't get upset. You know where to go, right? You stay peaceful, there's a station, no problem! You pull in, your confidence is, I know what I'm doing is right. I need gasoline. It brings peace, I know what to do. And confidence I'm doing the right thing. If you don’t know what to do you panic. Then your blood pressure goes up, your free radical cells take over and your body can become distressed and diseased. This is because of stress. Why? The law could have protected us from sickness. If you know what to do and what you are doing is right you live a peaceful life. So lack of law creates turmoil and stress. When you know the law, you can go to sleep and rest. And always be calm, because you know that you are following the law. Let me put it another way, when you ran your last red light, do you remember how you felt? You start checking if there were any law enforcement officers behind you. Why are you so nervous? What's wrong? And now your blood pressure goes up. Your

heartbeat starts racing and your whole body's under stress. Why? You just did one thing, really one thing you did. It was so simple, just ran the red light and now your whole body goes into all kinds of dysfunction--because you violated the law. Especially in the Bahamas and you are on vacation from the US, you gotta know they drive on the opposite of the road. They may have different traffic signs you may not have seen before. So if you are unfamiliar with the traffic laws for this new country that you are driving in, are you permitted to drive just any old way?? Fiveamprayer, is the law still the law, even if you don’t know that it is the law??? Does the law get validation by the authority that created it, over those who are to uphold it? So while in the Bahamas you are driving faster than the speed limit but you are unaware, does that stop the police man from pulling you over?

Should you cry out to the Most High about all the stress that you are experiencing in trying to follow or keep these new-to-you traffic laws? So the law says you violated the speed of 20 mph in crowded areas, can you just call out to Yahushua not to get caught? It's amazing that we use Yahushua to break the

law! On the other hand when you are driving at the proper speed for the area, you are at peace when that police car drives by. This is why you feel guilty when you're, sinning His name

is the Ruach HaKodesh. He brings what we call conviction. Conviction gives you stress. If we insist on living lawlessly, we won't have a good life, a happy life. How much could and would change if we led our lives according to His law and not the whims of men, doctrines of men, emotions and feelings all the time?? Just do right, all the time. The problem is we don't know what is right, because we haven't studied the law.

If you learn the basic laws of life--it is simple, easy!

Laws and principles protect against experimentation. If you know the law you don't need to experiment. Experimentation is a sign that you don't know the laws. Life should not be an experiment, you shouldn't be operating by trial and error through life! Let’s try this. Oh, I hope this works. I believe it might work. What are you doing?

Laws and principles are the enemy of fear. Whenever you know laws and principles--fear goes away. If you follow the laws of life, you'll never be afraid.

Once you give, for example that's a hard thing to teach because it's so difficult for people to believe. If you just give, the Bible says: give and it shall be given to you--multiplied. It's more blessed to give. It's a law but it's so hard to do, for some of us. We are professional expecters, we love to expect things. I'm expecting a miracle. I'm expecting a blessing. What have you done to expect it? It's a law, you don't go reaping where you did not sow. You can't expect a harvest if you didn't plant seed. It's a law, somehow we just believe we can violate the law. The Most High's gonna bless me. What did you do to guarantee the blessing? It's hard to get. It's a law. Law, is the enemy of fear. Once you know that, you give it to The Most High. Then you can go to sleep--The Most High's working on my behalf. Something's happening! I don't know what it is, but I already connected that law. Let me tell you, giving an offering protects your future. I say it every time I give, I am protecting my future! I connect it to my future--I cannot afford not to give. The Most High can't multiply which you never gave up! If you gave nothing He can multiply that--you gonna have a whole lot of nothing! The prophet Elijah meets the woman, who had two meals left and then she says we will eat these and die. This woman already had a future worked out and Elijah just showed up. He was not poor, nor broke, but The Most High sent him to create a chain reaction for this woman's life. And he said give me a meal first. In other words, activate The Most High. She gave.

The Most High is saying didn't I tell you to give that? That will be no use to you right now. Five bucks can't pay your light bill, put it in the ground. It's a law. Never eat your seed. Plant it. Giving is the only area where The Most High says test me. You know why? Because it's hard to do. He says test me, prove me. In other words, walk out of this place with nothing in your pocket. I dare you. He said test me. I'll embarrass you with blessings. But it's a law and it's a hard one because we love to have what we can see, not what The Most High promised.

It takes faith to obey The Most High's laws. So what does this mean then for wisdom? Look at this, write this down. Knowledge of laws and principles are the source of wisdom. People think I am smart. Some people think that I'm intelligent, others think that I am full of revelation. I am NOT! I have a good memory. I memorize the laws of The Most High--that's all. David says if I hide your laws in my heart I will become wiser than my teachers. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Now let me break that down to practical terms. The fear of the Lord is what? The beginning of wisdom. What does it mean to fear the Lord? It means stopping at the red lights. If you don't fear the laws of the United States, we are in trouble. If we don't fear the governor of our state’s laws, the constitution this whole country is in trouble. Fear brings order when you fear the law. Do you know why the church is so corrupt and so immoral? The fear of The Most High has left the church! We have sinners preaching in the pulpit every Sunday, which is the wrong day! We have demons in the choir. We got stuff in the church and everybody is still clapping. You know what the preacher is doing! You know who he's sleeping with. So you keep attending knowing that both the preacher's girlfriend and wife are sitting there listening to the sermon!! That is what no fear of The Most High looks like. If there's no fear, there's no honor. I told you all what The Most High said. He said this year he's taking no prisoners. Some of you have already seen some things happening. The Most High says I'm not protecting anybody anymore. Fix yourself in secret, otherwise I'm going to make it public. Stop disobeying my law! He is going to expose everybody! I don't know what you're doing right now but it better be holy! Because we all are going to find out, I guarantee it. The Most High is going to move the cover from everyone!! That which is done in secret, He says shall be made known from the rooftops. So make sure your secret life is good enough for public consumption. If you are ashamed of what you're doing, stop now. Don't forget I gave you this warning.

Make a note, knowledge of laws and principles, produce boldness. When you know the law and you know how to do it, you are confident, bold! That's why Dr. J is so confident and comfortable in the midst of power. I can sit in the presence of anyone who thinks they are powerful and reduce them to students. Why? Because I know the law. I know the principles that make them function. I know the secrets to life and when you know the laws of The Most High, you can walk boldly in life without being intimidated by anybody!! All because the law of The Most High is always right. That means you'll always be right, even if they don't agree with you. You will still be right. The law of the Lord is right, Psalm 119 says. Always right. So don't bring your opinion to life. Learn the laws! Write this down please, wisdom is laws and principles applied. A wise person is someone who knows the law and applies them to their lives. That's a wise person. Therefore it's important to remember that laws and principles are more important than power. I am afraid of powerful people who have no principles, because they will use that power to destroy. Principles protect power. It gives power legitimacy. It makes power have authority to function. Therefore if a person has no restrictions in their lives and they have power--you are in danger!

Never follow people who don’t have principles! Don't follow powerful people, you know sometimes it's tempting!

You meet a young lady, she has a good job in the bank, she walks around with a briefcase and drives a BMW. This is a powerful young woman and here you are-- a carpenter and you think you know well this is a big catch here. But she doesn’t have any principles. Then you are in trouble. That there is power, in a skirt, without principles. You meet a man, who is perfect! This guy is the CEO, in charge of everything! He’s got all this money and these nice cars and here you are, you're desperate. That's power. He even has a power tie on! This guy is sharp, but he has no principles. What are you going to do? He asks you to sleep with him before you are married, that's power without principles! Your first response, I think I made a mistake. Excuse me, leave my presence I thought you had principles. I thought there were some laws in your life. To protect me from you and you from me. Laws are more important than power!!! So we find this interesting statement. Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Yahushua said this. This is a scripture we have been looking at for years!! Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets I have not come to abolish the law but to fulfill the law. Yahushua is speaking, He is the king of the country!

He says, I didn't come to replace law with grace--don't misunderstand me!! Don't even think, that I've come to destroy the law or the prophets. I came to fulfill them and then He says I tell you the truth until heaven and earth pass away not the smallest letter of the law written by the pen will be disappearing from the law. It will not change, everything in The Most High's book will stay--in fact it will all come to pass! The Most High says don't you dare attempt to live in my kingdom without the law! The law has rewards!! Fiveamprayer, laws have rewards--that's deep stuff right there! Laws have rewards, in other words if you plant a seed you don't have to pray the plant comes up. Once you obey the law, it is a natural result. Laws of life, cancel the need for prayer. You are not supposed to be praying for food and clothes and water. HaMaschiach says, Take no thought of these things. So then what are you supposed to be praying for? Seek ye first the country of The Most High and remaining in right standing with the laws and these things automatically are added. The word HaMaschiach used is, it automatically arrives. In other words if you have a label for blessings, you are in religion. All of this, “I believe the Most High for this car.. I’m holding on to my faith for this car... I am trusting the Most High for this car...” That’s worrying. Just activate a law, give and say “Most High, this is toward a car” and then go to sleep! Law destroys work. Religious law makes you work!! I am gonna say that again, religious law makes you work! Kingdom law, makes you rest. This is why religion is so tiring. You have to keep all these rituals, they make you tired. Hamachiach says, come unto me all you who are heavy laden with all these religious laws and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. My yoke is easy, my burden is light. Keep the commandments of the Most High, He says. It is automatic. Write this down, do not think, which means do not consider, do not imagine, He said, do not even dream--that I've come to destroy the law!! Do not even think that I have, don't assume that I came to destroy the law!!! Do not suggest that I came to destroy the law!! Do not even entertain the idea, that I came to destroy the law!!!

Contending for The Faith!!! Part 3!!

Joshua Chapter 1

Today we are walking in: Contending for The Faith!! Part 3!!

Today we look to the word DOCTRINE-- H3948 leqach--properly, something received, (mentally) instruction (whether on the part of the teacher or hearer); also (in an active and sinister sense) inveiglement:—doctrine, learning, fair speech.

The Torah testifies...............

Deuteronomy 32:2

My doctrine H3948 shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:

The prophets proclaim..................

Isaiah 28:9

Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine H3948? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

The writings bear witness............

Proverbs 4:2

For I give you good doctrine H3948, forsake ye not my law.

Why Must We Contend?

We have seen examples of contending for The Faith. But why must we fight to maintain our Faith?

Many do not see the adversary’s hidden work going on, so there is a continual struggle, a battle in which we must contend, and fight to maintain The Faith as it was once given to the saints. Here is what is happening.

Satan knows he can easily deceive the masses, by using false teachers to twist the Scriptures. Satan desires to lead the Believers astray from ‘The Faith,’ so that they might not inherit all things (Rev 21:7); that is, he knows they would receive a reduced or diminished inheritance in the Kingdom (Prov 17:2; 1Co 6:9-10; Galatians 5:21; Ephesians 5:5). Satan knows that he could accomplish this goal, if only he could somehow remove the authority of Scripture from the minds of the Believers.

How would satan accomplish this? What would he do to make this happen?

He would begin his 2,000-year program by using an army of corrupt Bible Translators, who would produce corrupted Bible manuscripts, which would later become the basis for all the modern, but corrupted translations. These new versions would omit words, sentences, and entire verses, regarding issues of the person and deity of Yahushua, the redemption by His Blood, and issues of His Kingdom, of Biblical Grace, and of the Hebrew roots of The Faith.

He would then use many corrupt theological seminaries and Bible Schools to promote these modern but corrupt Bible translations. The scholars within these institutions would devise many man-made Doctrines by twisting the words of Paul. They would then indoctrinate many unsuspecting young people with these poisonous Doctrines. From among these graduates would emerge a few influential but false Pastors, Teachers, and other spiritual Leaders, whose teaching would effectively nullify the authority of ‘all that the Prophets have spoken.’

As of today, all these things have been accomplished.
Doctrines of Devils

What Doctrinal changes have been made since The Faith was first delivered?

Over the 2,000-year time span, satan’s influence over these men would cause many small changes to be made, with one goal in mind. They would first divide the Scriptures in the people’s thinking. They would rename the two sections ‘New Testament’ and ‘Old Testament.’ Then, they would need only to twist Paul’s writings to make it appear that the ‘old’ Testament writings had been nullified, and had disappeared. As a result, they could claim the ‘Old Testament’ is no longer valid!

This notion alone would easily nullify ‘all that the Prophets have spoken,’ unless a few people would slip through the System. Perhaps some would read the words of Paul for themselves, and others might even read those pesky Words of Yahushua in Luke 24:25. Perhaps a few may begin to seek Wisdom by reading the Proverbs, and fewer still might believe and act upon the commandments Yahushua spoke to Moses, simply because they love Yahushua (John 14:15).

But there is much work to be done in twisting Paul’s words. How would they pull this off?

Many theological seminaries would attempt to counter ‘all that the Prophets have spoken’ by re-defining certain Biblical words, and by inventing new words and terms. Thus they would use these re-defined and man-made words, terms and phrases to wage war against the foundation of Scripture.

Today there are many well-meaning Pastors, Teachers, and other spiritual Leaders who have graduated from these corrupt schools, who attempt to teach Scripture using these re-defined words and non-Biblical terms. These man-made words should be a red-flag, warning us of deception, and of a deceiver.

Among the many re-defined and man-made words, terms and phrases are such non-Biblical phrases as ‘Age of Grace,’ ‘Age of Law,’ ‘Law vs. Grace,’ ‘Dispensation of Law,’ ‘Dispensation of Grace,’ ‘Ceremonial Laws,’ ‘Moral Laws,’ ‘unmerited favour,’ ‘missing the mark,’ and many others. Each of these words and phrases, and many others, are being used to inject man-made, false and non-Biblical meanings into the message of the Scriptures. Let the Reader beware!

Beloved, have we heard any of these words or phrases spoken by our spiritual Leaders? Have we noticed how many of these false notions center around the same issue of ‘Grace?’ Jude has already warned us!
Remember Jude’s Warning

Let us be reminded of Jude’s warning:

“… certain men crept in unawares … turning … grace … into lasciviousness and denying … our Lord Jesus Christ. (Jude 1:4)

As a result of men who have crept in unawares, there is much teaching today of non-Biblical Grace. Some who embrace this error may choose to ignore the words of the Prophets, and that is their prerogative. Yahushua said those who do so, are ‘slow of heart,’ and are among the ‘foolish.’ When the Bridegroom returns, some Believers will be among the wise, and some among the foolish.

After being Redeemed by the Blood of Messiah, and being set free from the bondage of sin, each one must choose for himself whom he will serve. Those who are wise will be as bond-servants to the Master. They will seize, take hold of, and honour the Master’s eternal Commandments, so that they themselves will be seized, taken hold of, honoured, and married, as a Bride (Proverbs 10:8a).

Those who are foolish — those who think that the Master’s eternal Commandments have been annulled, no longer in effect, and done away with — will not be as bond-servants to the Master. Instead they will throw down the Master’s Commandments, cast them aside, and reject them, so that they themselves will be thrown down, cast aside, and rejected as a Bride (Proverbs 10:8b).
A Final Caution

As a final caution, let us notice in the two examples given above regarding Romans 14, the apostle Paul tells us we are not to judge others regarding these matters (Romans 14:4, 10). As we contend for, and find the wonderful truths of Scripture, and begin to enter into a more intimate walk with Messiah, we may be tempted to judge others who are not contending for The Faith, but are walking according to their traditions.

We are not to judge others for the choices they have made!

Instead, let us appeal to those who oppose themselves, by use of the Scriptures, and with much prayer, and with gentleness. Let us provoke one another to seek out how to love The Most High, according to what He has said, and exhort one another to walk in what He allows us to see (Hebrews 10:24).

Contending for The Faith!!! Part 2!!

Romans chapter 14

Today we are walking in: Contending for The Faith!! Part 2!!

Today we look to the word FAITH-- H529 emuwn--faithfulness, trusting, faithful

The Torah testifies...............

Deuteronomy 32:20

And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith H529

The prophets proclaim..................

Habakkuk 2:4

Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith H529.

The writings bear witness............

Contending for the Faith: An Example

As an example of contending for The Faith, let’s look at a common example most have heard today. Many theological seminaries put forth many twisted notions about the meaning of the apostle Paul’ words. For example, notice Romans 14:1-2:

Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. (Romans 14:1-2)

Some would claim that Paul is saying in Romans 14:1-2, that there are some who are weak in ‘The Faith’ because they choose not to eat the items forbidden to The Most High’s people as listed in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14. Using this false reasoning, they then put forth the notion that ‘Grace’ has somehow removed the prohibition against eating those things the Bible calls unclean.

So how do we test this notion? If in all of Scripture there is found any disagreement with the notion, or if the idea does not agree with all that the Prophets have spoken, or if there are not found two or three witnesses to establish the idea as true, then the notion is a false notion. Let’s notice what Scripture says:

And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you: 11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination. (Leviticus 11:10-11)

Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing. (Deuteronomy 14:3)

I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts; 3 A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick; 4 Which remain among the graves [they are spiritually dead], and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels; (Isaiah 65:2-4)

They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD. (Isaiah 66:17)

These chapters in Leviticus and Deuteronomy, and the passages in Isaiah, tell us in great detail what is to be considered abomination to us, and that we are not to eat any abominable thing.

So if we think there is no longer any prohibition against eating those things the Bible calls unclean or abomination, we immediately see direct disagreement with these Scripture passages, for nowhere is it written in Scripture that these prohibitions have been ‘taken away’ or ‘abolished.’

To the contrary, we are told that the Scriptures are eternal (Deuteronomy 29:29; Psalms 119:44, 89, 160; Isaiah 40:8; 1Pet 1:25), and so they cannot be broken, annulled, nor done away with (John 10:35). Indeed, Messiah Himself reminds us that the Torah tells us that we live by every word God has spoken (Matt 4:4; Luke 4:4).

We conclude that the idea that the Bible no longer prohibits eating things the Bible calls unclean or abomination, is not in agreement with Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14, nor with the words of the Prophets — and so it is a false notion.

Contrary to some of the popular teachings today, there is nothing cancelled under the New Covenant except our debt of sin, and nothing done away with or nullified, except the dogma, or decrees of men. Every part of the New Covenant relates to one or more aspects of Torah, as being fulfilled [but not ended], expanded in scope, or transferred from external to internal, where it is to be written on the heart. So we see this idea claiming that one is ‘weak in The Faith’ because he does not eat the ‘abominations’ of Scripture is a false notion, a “Doctrine of Men” we have encountered.

We are not to add to what Yahushua, or Paul, or the other writers of Scripture actually say. Much of Paul’s writings, like those of Peter, James, John, and Yahushua, may be hard to understand, according to 2Peter 3:16. Nevertheless, we do not have liberty to make these Scriptures into a teaching that opposes the entire ‘written’ Word of The Most High. What Paul actually says is what we must live by. It appears that what Paul is saying in Romans 14:2 is that the one who is ‘weak’ is what we call a ‘vegetarian.’ And in verses 3 and 4 Paul tells us that even though these vegetarians are weak, we are not to judge them.

“But what about…,” as many rightly protest. Very quickly we realise that each of these ‘twisted’ understandings of Scripture are interlocked with other twisted doctrines, in order to appear credible. So let us look at another related example.
Contending for the Faith: A Second Example

Following our same theme and line of reasoning in the above example, let’s notice that men have twisted the meaning of Romans 14, and have connected it to a twisted meaning of what Yahushua said in Mark 7:19. Notice the following passage:

And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him [‘render him unclean’]; 19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats [‘food’]? (Mark 7:19)

Some today claim that Yahushua’s statement in Mark 7:19 somehow abolishes the prohibition of eating what Scripture defines as abomination. But when we read carefully the verses in Mark chapter 7 in context, we see the true and clear meaning of the entire message. Notice that the subject of Yahushua’s answer given in verse 19, is seen in context in verse 2:

And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled [‘unclean’], that is to say, with unwashen hands, they found fault. (Mark 7:2)

Here we see the context for verse 19 is the question asked in verse 5, of whether a violation of a [man-made] Talmudic tradition of washing hands, and then eating food with these unwashed hands, would somehow ‘defile’ [make Biblically unclean] the eater. Yahushua gives the answer in the ensuing verses, with the conclusion in verse 19 — that all that is considered to be ‘food’ [Greek broma, Strong’s number is not defiled by unwashed hands.

Notice also that this explanation does not change the eternal, Biblical distinctions of what is to be considered as ‘food’ as spelled out in Torah, for two reasons.

The First reason, is that when we look at the definition of the Greek word broma, Strong’s number, we se the following definition:

1033 βρωΌα broma

AV – meat, victuals

From the base of 977; food (literally or figuratively), especially (ceremonial) articles allowed or forbidden by the Jewish law.

—Strong’s Greek Dictionary of the New Testament

Notice that throughout the Scriptures, what is considered ‘food’ is based only on what is allowed or forbidden in Torah — and this distinction appears in the Strong’s definition for the Greek word broma used above in Mark 7:19. This clearly re-affirms for us, that according to Scripture, anything forbidden by Torah is not to be considered as ‘food.’

So we see that Yahushua’s conclusion in Mark 7:19 merely answers the question asked in verse 5, that unwashed hands does not defile what is considered food.

The Second reason that the eternal, Biblical definition of ‘food’ as given out in Torah has not been changed by Yahushua, or by any of the New Testament writers, is more dramatic, and has far-reaching implications.

If Yahushua had advocated anything other than strict adherence to Torah in every respect, He would have disqualified Himself from being a sinless Saviour, and from being the promised Messiah of The Most High. He would then have rightly been put to death as a false prophet (Deuteronomy 13:1-5). From this we know Yahushua did not change anything, nor did He implement anything new. He simply lived His life as an example for us, of how we are to live, and how we are to walk as He walked (1Peter 2:21; 1John 2:6).

So we see that the New Testament Scriptures regarding food are only a few of the many Scriptures that have been twisted by many teachers today. In order to find the Truth, we must contend, we must fight against the errors we hear, by studying the Scriptures for ourselves. Only in this way can we find the Truth. There is no substitute for reading the Scriptures for ourselves!

Let’s notice another example within these same passages of Romans 14.
Contending for the Faith: A Third Example

Another false notion commonly taught about the words of Paul in Romans 14 is seen below:

One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. (Romans 14:5-6a)

Many claim that in the above passage, the apostle Paul says that the keeping of the Sabbath Day is no longer valid for Believers, and that one may regard or disregard the Sabbath Day, as one sees fit. In a slightly different line of reasoning, others claim that keeping ‘any one’ day out of seven days is acceptable to The Most High.

To test these notions, let’s see what the words of the Prophets have to say about this:

Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil. (Isaiah 56:2)

And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God. (Ezekiel 20:20)

But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: (Exodus 20:10)

Oops! The above passages in Isaiah and Ezekiel, and those in Leviticus chapter 23 and many others, tell us we are to hallow [“set apart as special”] The Most High’s Sabbaths, and that these Sabbaths are all on appointed, specific days, and not open for our choosing. The appearance of the manna (Exodus 16:16-30), and the incident of the man gathering sticks on the Sabbath Day (Numbers 15:29-36), both prove that the weekly Sabbath Day is specified as the seventh day of the 7-day week.

From these Scriptures alone, it is easily seen that the man-made idea of the Sabbath day being the ‘first’ day of the week, or even ‘any one’ day out of seven days, does not agree with Scripture.

So we must conclude that the days to which Paul refers in Romans 14 are not sabbath days commanded by The Most High, but are religious days practiced by men [but not commanded in Scripture], perhaps the fasting-days practiced by tradition, as the context in verse 2 alludes, and as the Prophets reveal (Zechariah 7:5, 8:19). But how does our conclusion agree with all of Paul’s words?
The Words of Paul Agree

Those who have carefully studied the apostle Paul’s writings for themselves know that Paul would never write anything in his epistles contrary to the written Word of Torah, for Paul himself delighted in the Torah (Romans 7:22), walking orderly, believing in and keeping all the Torah (Acts 17:2, 18:21, 21:24, 24:14; 1Co 5:8). We then see (1Corinthians 4:16, 11:1) that Paul exhorts us to do just as he did — by choosing to follow and imitate his example!

We must then ask this question: “Would Paul contradict himself?”

We see that the apostle Paul himself [as do James and the elders] tell us clearly, that Paul keeps and obeys the Torah, and Paul then exhorts us to follow him, and to imitate his example. Would this same Paul then instruct us in an epistle, that we should NOT keep and obey Torah? This would be a contradiction!

So we ask, “Does Paul contradict Paul?” I think not! The apostle Peter tells us (2Peter 3:16) that those who ‘twist’ the meaning of Paul’s writings, are those who misunderstand his writings, and also misunderstand all of Scripture. Peter then tells us this misunderstanding of Scripture leads them [and by implication, those who follow them] to destruction and ruin.

Contending for The Faith!! Part 1!!

Jude chapter 1

Today we are walking in: Contending for The Faith!! Part 1

Today we look to the word CONTEND-- H1624 -- gârâh-- ; to cause strife, stir up, contend, meddle, strive, be stirred up to stir up strife, excite strife, to excite oneself against, engage in strife, to excite oneself (against foe), wage war

The Torah testifies...............

Deuteronomy 2:9

And the Lord said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither contend H1624 with them in battle: for I will not give thee of their land for a possession; because I have given Ar unto the children of Lot for a possession.

The prophets proclaim..................

Isaiah 57:16

For I will not contend H1624 for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.

The writings bear witness...........................

Proverbs 28:4

They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend H1624 with them.

Throughout the New Testament we are exhorted to apprehend something that is called ‘The Faith.’ We are encouraged to attain it, and then contend or fight to keep it. We are also warned to examine or test ourselves, to see if we are still ‘in’ The Faith.

But what is this thing called ‘The Faith?’

First, we must understand that ‘The Faith’ speaks not of a general quality of faith and trust that we are to have, of which faith we are all given a certain measure. Instead, this phrase speaks of a particular system of Truth that is described throughout Scripture. One is either ‘in’ or ‘out’ of this system of Truth — for there is no middle ground. Thus the phrase “in the faith” is used in 2Corinthians 13:5 to describe its nature. But what is ‘The Faith?’
What is ‘The Faith?’

The phrase the faith appears in 42 verses of Scripture, giving us our first clue as to what ‘The Faith’ might be. Since the number 42 speaks prophetically of Yahushua appearing in us, our first thought is that this phrase must relate to this subject of ‘Messiah-in-you.’ As we see what the Scriptures tell us, we notice that the test of being ‘in’ The Faith can be seen in the following passage:

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? (2Corinthians 13:5)

According to the above passage, if we know for ourselves that Yahushua is in us, then we can see that we are ‘in’ The Faith. This understanding of ‘The Faith’ is necessary as we look at other Scriptures to determine their meaning. Now notice the following passages:

And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised. (Romans 4:12)

Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, (Romans 4:16)

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. (Revelation 14:12)

When we see the term, “the faith of Yahushua,” our first thoughts are that it always means faith ‘in’ Yahushua. But what does the term, “the faith of Abraham” mean? This term does not mean faith ‘in’ Abraham, but describes a system of faith, of hearing and walking in obedience to The Most High, and to the Truth of His Word. The term ‘the faith’ of Abraham can then be seen as the system of walking in the Word, as Abraham did; and ‘the faith’ of Yahushua is the life of walking in the Word as Yahushua did, and whose life is our pattern, and our example.

When we are first Born-Again, we are ‘in the faith’ as a newborn Babe, as we obey the Truth given to us. However, as we grow and mature, we begin to hear teachings from many that will shape our lives as Believers, and some that will actually turn us away from the Truth:

Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. (Titus 1:14)

Some false notions come in the form of Jewish fables; others come in the form of Doctrines and Commandments of Men. Many young Believers may not know Scriptures well, but believe everything that is taught them, without checking against the Scriptures. These Commandments of Men can turn us away from the Truth.

Many teachings turn out to be a mixture of Truth sprinkled with the Commandments of Men, and are not easily discerned. As a result, many young Believers are led away from Truth, into a form of captivity, as Paul explains in Romans and 2Timothy. They are still The Most High’s people, but they are in disobedience. Their spiritual eyes remain closed, and they are not aware of this captivity.

Samson, who was counted among The Most High’s people, had his eyes put out, and was put in captivity. Believers today, like Samson, have had their spiritual eyes put out when they are led into captivity for their disobedience. Only repentance, by returning to obedience, can restore the eyesight.

This understanding is vital when we are confronted with passages that have been twisted by modern theologians to say something that the Scriptures do not say. The enemy is constantly at work, ‘twisting’ the Scriptures. So our first line of defense is to know the Scriptures, by studying The Most High’s Words, by reading them for ourselves.

When we encounter any idea that goes against what we already know, there is a sense of ‘contending,’ as the ‘waving of a red flag.’ An uneasiness will stir within us.

But this same uneasiness happens to us, when we encounter the Truth of The Most High’s Word — if we are holding on to a mixture of Truth and error. We do not want to oppose The Most High, but to grow. So how do we overcome this uneasiness, this sense of opposition?

It is human nature to avoid confrontation. As a result, many will try to avoid the uneasiness and the confrontation, and will not contend for the Truth. For this reason, there are multitudes of Born-Again Believers who will reject some of the precious Truths of Scripture, because those Truths of Scripture are not in agreement with what they have been previously taught.

What should we do when we encounter ideas that are against what we hold true? If we desire to grow in Grace, and in the knowledge of Yahushua, there is only one thing to do when we find ourselves in disagreement. Notice the following Scripture passage:

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. (Jude 1:3)

Jude tells us that we are to contend, to fight, to struggle to remain in ‘The Faith’ as it was originally given to the people of The Most High. Some have thought this means physical fighting. However, the wording and context of Jude’s epistle tells us exactly what this contending is — it is a struggle of Truth against Doctrinal error, centered around Leaders who have altered the Biblical subject of ‘Grace,’ in order to teach an un-biblical version of Grace.

Let’s look more closely at this passage, to see how we are to contend for The Faith.
How Do We Contend for The Faith?

When we are confronted with notions or ideas that may be in error, we are called to contend, or fight to maintain the Truth of The Faith. How do we do this? First, let’s see a continuation of the passage regarding contending for The Faith:

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. (Jude 1:4)

In the above passage, Jude confirms for us the reason we must contend. Jude tells us that men had crept in, and had created destructive ‘Doctrines of Men’ regarding the Biblical Truths of ‘Grace.’ As Jude indicates, when these Leaders wrest or twist the Scriptures and mix them with Doctrines of Men, they promote lasciviousness or lack of restraint in the daily lives and testimonies of those Believers that hear their teaching. In this way Believers can actually deny Yahushua by their actions, as Paul explains (Titus 1:16). But now lets look at the remedy:

I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. (Jude 1:5)

Here we see the call to remember the Scriptures. It is apparent from this passage that these Leaders were not currently teaching Truths of the Law [Torah], because Jude tells the Believers they ‘once knew’ these things, but had forgotten them, and needed to be reminded of these Torah Truths.

When we are studying the Scriptures, reading it for ourselves, then the remedy against the ‘Doctrines of Men’ is in our weaponry. The Holy Spirit, who guides us into all Truth, will bring to our remembrance the things that are truly of The Most High’s Word, and “shall show it unto you” (John 16:15; 1John 2:26-27). This is an important part of our ‘contending for the faith’ — to know, and remember all the Scriptures, and to learn the consequences of abandoning the Commandments of The Most High.

So the remedy is to look at any idea or notion that is taught, comparing the idea against all of Scripture.

Notice also what Yahushua tells us:

Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: (Luke 24:25)

Here we are told that we are slow of heart [‘foolish’] when we do not believe [become “Do-ers” of] all that the Prophets have spoken.

But what have the prophets spoken?

A quick look through the Scriptures reveals that every one of The Most High’s true Prophets continued to call The Most High’s people back to obedience to Torah! And Yahushua is telling us that the foolish among His redeemed people are those who are ‘slow of heart’ to be ‘Do-ers’ of the words of the Prophets.

After looking at the life of Yahushua as our example, the words of the Prophets is one of the next tests we may use. If our notion or idea is not in agreement with all that Yahushua did, or if it does not agree with ‘all that the Prophets have spoken,’ then it is a false notion.

If we would contend for the faith, then we must search the Scriptures, and cry out to The Most High to show us the truth of a matter. We must find either agreement or disagreement of Scripture against an idea or notion, in order to determine its Scriptural validity.

Enter Into His Rest!!!

Hebrews Chapter 4

Today we are walking in: Enter Into His Rest!!!

Today we look to the word REST-- H7673 -- shâbath-- a primitive root; to repose, desist from exertion; cause to, let, make to, cease, celebrate, keep sabbath, leave, put away, make to rest, rid, still, take away.

The Torah testifies...............

Exodus 16:23

And he said unto them, This is that which the Lord hath said, To morrow is the rest H7673 of the holy sabbath unto the Lord: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

The prophets proclaim..................

Isaiah 14:3

And it shall come to pass in the day that the Lord shall give thee rest H7673 from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,

The writings bear witness...........................

1 Kings 8:56

Blessed be the Lord, that hath given rest H7673 unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

True Identities Are Being Revealed

Beloved, Yahushua is restoring the Truths that the Body of Messiah was robbed of centuries ago. He is restoring the Truths that for many years the cankerworm has eaten, and the palmerworm, and the locust has devoured. He is revealing the Truths of His Word, as a ‘Great Spoil,’ as treasures recovered in a battle.

The Most High is doing, as it were, a new thing. Yet it is not new, for there is nothing new under the sun. It just seems new to us, but it is simply the restoration of the Tabernacle of David, and the building of the True Temple, and is the ascending of Mount Zion by His children.

We certainly do live our years as a tale that is told; That is, everything that has happened before, and seen in the Bible, is our example of how it is going to happen in this last generation! The Most High is preparing a People, and is purifying a Company of people that will become His Bride. He is preparing them through their learning obedience, the goal of which instruction is to be completed, and made perfect in love for Yahushua, and for the brethren.

The identity of the ‘Saints’ [the set-apart-ones] of The Most High, — the redeemed, the undefiled, — is being made clear. The identity of those that are redeemed, but who continue to be ‘wicked’ in their actions, is also coming into view.

As the fruit [their doings, or works] of the righteous begin to be seen, in the same way the tares are being revealed, all in bundles [bound socially into denominations and congregations], ready to be burned.

Let’s notice the following passages, and note how The Most High identifies the ones that are His people, His saints:

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. (Revelation 14:12)

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. (Revelation 22:14)

The above verses describe who the saints really are, and how one gains right to the Tree of Life — Yahushua Himself — and how one gains entry into the City of the King.

Note carefully that in the above verses, there is no believing mentioned, as we have understood the word believe; in these verses there is simply ‘doing’ — that is, allowing Messiah-in-you to bring about the doing of obedience to His Word — which is the Biblical definition of ‘believing.’

Notice that obedience to the commandments of The Most High is really a summary definition of the word believe. The Fiveamprayer is encouraged to do a brief study of Abraham, and what The Most High said about him, and why The Most High credited him with righteousness!

The greatest tragedy of this generation is the teaching of the Traditions, Doctrines, and Commandments of men, in place of the Scriptures. One result of this replacement is that one beautiful truth of The Most High’s word is taken to the exclusion of another, causing many to try to force the pieces of the puzzle together — even when some pieces do not quite fit the way that men’s doctrines say they are supposed to fit!

Hence we have multitudes of splintered beliefs and divisions created among men, divided into congregations that are open only to what lies within the comfort zone of their own understanding, yet closed-minded to any Light from the Spirit of Truth that does not fit what they already understand.

It is in this way, that the Commandments of Men turn men away from being “DO-ers” of the Truth (Titus 1:14). This sounds as if it were a description of the religious leaders of Yahushua’s day, but sadly it portrays our day.
My Commandments

Beloved, when Yahushua said, If ye love me, keep ‘MY’ Commandments (John 14:15), what was He telling us? Today, almost all the Bible schools and Theological Seminaries, and their Pastor-graduates, are teaching that the ‘Commandments of Yahushua’ are found only in the New Testament, from Matthew through Revelation. Those who know who Yahushua truly is, however, understand that ‘MY’ commandments appear from the Beginning — from the Book of Genesis!

Those who say that Yahushua’s commandments are only in the ‘New’ Testament are testifying that they do not know who Yahushua truly is. When Yahushua returns, He will say to many Pastors and Leaders who did not truly know Him, and to their followers, “I never knew you…you that work iniquity.” It is thus to our advantage to test everything against the Scriptures alone!

Beloved, notice the following verse:

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: (2 Thessalonians 1:8)

We have long thought that this passage is talking about the heathen, the pagans, the wicked — those that have never come to Yahushua. Unfortunately, there are vast multitudes, great multitudes of New Testament Believers today that are in this category! They have come to Yahushua, have received of His wonderful mercy and Grace of Redemption and forgiveness by His precious Blood, but are still in the Valley of Decision, between two mountains, ‘halt between two opinions.’ As babes however, The Most High offers us great mercy, as He gently leads those who desire to follow Him, and learn from Him.

As more mature Believers, The Most High is urging us to ‘get off the fence.’ As Believers, their Yoke of Bondage has been initially broken. The Spirit of Life has set them free from the Law of Sin and Death, but they have not entered into a new Yoke of Bondage of Love, as a voluntary bond slave to a new Master, in obedience to His Word and His will!

Thus many shall not be brought up into the heights of Zion, the City of the King, and will not be allowed to know Him, unless they show by their obedience they know who Yahushua really is, and they begin to walk in obedience to all His sayings. This process of coming to know Him, by our obedience to His Word, as seen in the above passage in (2Thessalonians 1:8), is what constitutes ‘believing’ in Yahushua.

We have seen that the sayings of Yahushua are made up of both the New Testament sayings of Yahushua, and the Old Testament sayings of The Most High, which are also Yahushua’s sayings. The great significance can now come into view. We recall that The Most High wrote the Ten Commandments with the Finger of The Most High, onto the stone tablets. These are The Most High’s sayings, and His words.

Notice also that Yahushua wielded the Finger of The Most High, when He cast out devils. There is a vast amount of New Testament Scripture that reveals the connection between loving Yahushua and keeping the Commandments of Yahushua, and also remarkably, keeping the Commandments of The Most High. Many today have not made the connection, or have not realized, that keeping the Commandments of The Most High constitutes knowing who Yahushua is, and loving Yahushua, and also defines how we show love for the Brethren (1John 5:2-3).
Stealing Your Inheritance

Some Believers today say they keep the Ten Commandments; others say they are only for the Jews, not Gentiles. Still others say they are not for New Testament Saints, but are legalism and bondage. A few today keep and observe the Feasts of The Most High. Many today would say they love The Most High, and desire to keep His Word. However, they have been taught that the Second and Fourth Commandments are not for us. The meanings of these commandments, as much of Scripture, have been ‘spiritualized’ by well-meaning Pastors and Teachers, to mean ‘something different,’ so as not to apply to New Testament Saints.

Many Pastors and Teachers think that we are not able to search the Scriptures for ourselves, to see what it really says. And the spiritualized version of a Truth, which is a particular ‘spin’ put on the Truth, sounds very close to what Scripture actually says. The result is that some of the Pastors and spiritual Leaders are stealing the inheritance of their many followers! We must read the Scriptures for ourselves, and find the Truth!

How are we to know the Truth? Just what does it mean to spiritualize Scripture?

Let us find out, as we make up an example of what it means to ‘spiritualize’ Scripture.

Let us say that we read the following verse:

Thou shalt not kill. (Exodus 20:13)

We may immediately say, Well, this must be for New Testament Saints, because Yahushua told us that we are not to hate our brother; and murder is the same as hating our brother. That explanation now becomes my definition of what the above passage says.

I could then conclude that under the spiritualized meaning of this verse, it is alright to literally kill someone, but not hate him, which is the spiritualized equivalent. By this example, we can see that in spiritualizing the meaning, the plain, common- sense meaning is discarded, in favor of a spiritualized meaning or explanation.

The next example is a little less of a stretch of truth, and is actually believable to many Believers of this generation:

Thou shalt not commit adultery. (Exodus 20:14)

Reading this verse one might think, For New Testament Believers, adultery in The Most High’s eyes is the equivalent of worshiping an idol or another god. If one were to spiritualise the above Exodus verse, one may conclude that it must be OK to commit literal adultery, but it is not OK to commit idolatry, which is a spiritualized adultery.

How utterly absurd this would be! Yet the same example of this reasoning occurs as a codified standard in the vast realm of the religious world today. Let us see why.

We will now look at a classic example of spiritualizing Scripture, resulting in a doctrine that most Pastors and spiritual Leaders today have bought into, bringing great loss to the Body of Messiah, as a lack of fullness of the life of Messiah-in-us.

Notice the following passage:

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy [set-apart as special]. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. (Exodus 20:8-11)

The precious Believing ones today have been taught by their Leaders a spiritualized understanding of The Most High’s Sabbath days. Believers worldwide have been taught the decrees of Rome regarding this passage, stating that for New Testament Believers, the Sabbaths of The Most High speak only of two spiritualized meanings, and are not to be kept literally.

Two separate, spiritualized explanations of this passage are generally given. First, it is spiritualized by some, who see this as merely a explanation for a ‘future’ event. This man-made explanation describes the future, millennial kingdom, which is actually a true, prophetic picture of what the seventh- day Sabbath Day portrays, but only in a prophetic sense of fulfillment. Along with this explanation, Believers are told they are not to keep this commandment in a literal sense, but to keep instead the ‘New Testament Sabbath’ [which is a man-made Sabbath decreed by Rome].

Second, the teaching of the Sabbath Day is taught by many as a ‘spiritualized’ explanation for the present. Many Believers today have been taught of a ‘spiritualized’ Sabbath rest, but not of the ‘literal’ keeping of the Sabbath Day. One man-made explanation goes on to say that to keep the Sabbath is to “enter a state of rest,” which one supposedly enters into when one “rests, moment by moment, in Father’s Grace, in the finished work of Yahushua.” Along with this explanation, Believers are told they are not to keep Father’s Sabbath Days in a literal sense, but are to keep only the ‘New Testament Sabbath’ [the man-made Sabbath decreed by Rome].

The Pastors and Leaders that say such things are not seeking The Most High, and are not studying the Scriptures. Perhaps they are assuming their followers are not reading their Bibles for themselves!

The result is that the above passage (Exodus 20:8-11) has been spiritualized to a point that its ‘literal’ meaning has been made of no effect in the lives of many precious Believers, ones who truly love The Most High! The Body of Messiah in this generation has been taught that a man-made notion of the ‘Lord’s Day’ has replaced the ‘Sabbath Day’ of the Ten Commandments.

Using the same line of reasoning, the Believers today have been taught also that idolatry is not so important in the lives of Blood-bought and forgiven Believers! See (1 Corinthians 10:14; 1 John 5:21; Rev 2:14, 20). We shall examine these ideas a little later, against the light of Scripture.

Scrambling to plug the holes in their theology, many Theologians have spun further webs of deception, to describe the closely-related teaching of ‘entering into His rest.’ As we saw above, some have taught that the Sabbath Day is only symbolic of the seventh millennium, the true Sabbath of The Most High; and the weekly sabbath was only a shadow of that Sabbath to come [this is half-truth, and half-lie].

Beloved, many Bible teachers today are teaching that the weekly sabbath is only a ‘spiritual’ Sabbath, in that the New Testament Saint rests in the finished work of Yahushua; and that the New Testament Believer no longer has to ‘work’ in ones own effort to be obedient, to be found righteous [another half-truth, half-lie]. Scripture tells us, however, that we must labour [work; expend great effort] to enter into the same rest Father entered (Hebrews 4:10-11). Perhaps the great effort is required, in order to defeat the great many man-made doctrines that would lead us astray!

It is important for the Bride-Company to note that both of these popular teachings are not 100% error, but express a mixture of truth and error. The truth aspect is in regard to both a future, and a present, spiritual aspect of the seventh day Sabbath of The Most High; the error comes by ignoring the literal aspect, just as our above examples of murder and adultery.

Moreover, in expressing the exclusiveness of the spiritual aspect of the seventh day Sabbath of The Most High, the popular teachings ignore the fact that there are seven additional Feasts of The Most High that He calls ‘My Sabbaths,’ for a total of 8 of The Most High’s Sabbaths!

Let us now see why this issue of The Most High’s Sabbaths is an important issue for the Bride.
Labouring to Enter His Rest

We will now note the great importance of the Sabbaths of The Most High, which have been hidden from the Body of Messiah, who have been robbed and stolen from, as spoil from a battle, by an enemy that does not want to see Yahushua’s people ‘enter in’ to their inheritance.

Let’s notice the following passages:

Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err [go astray] in their heart, and they have not known my ways: Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest. (Psalms 95:10-11)

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. (Hebrews 4:11)

Scripture tells us that although Israel was redeemed from Egypt by the Blood of the Lamb, the original generation were refused entry into the Promised Land, all except Joshua and Caleb. In the above passage in Psalms 95: 10-11, we see The Most High tells us that they were not allowed to enter His rest, showing us that entering His rest is a picture of ‘entering in’ to the Promised Land.

The next passage above (Hebrews 4:11) warns us that we, too, must labour to enter His rest, lest we too be refused entry into the Promised Land, in the same example as the Israelites, as the context indicates. Since this is such an important example for us, taking up two chapters in the Book of Hebrews, we would do well to find out exactly what it means to enter His rest, and what could prevent us from entering His rest.

For a clue to what this means, let’s look at the above passage again, this time along with its companion, the previous passage:

For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. (Hebrews 4:10-11)

In the above passage, Yahushua tells us we must enter into His rest by ceasing from our own works, just as The Most High ceased from His works. What is the simple and plain meaning of this passage? Let’s look at some possibilities of what it might mean.

First, let’s ask, How did The Most High rest from His works? If we can find how The Most High rested from His works, perhaps we too could do the same, as we are told to do! Let’s look into this.

So, how did The Most High rest from His works?

Did The Most High decide to postpone His rest until the future millennial Sabbath, the great Day of Jubilee? NO! But this is one explanation given by the Theologians, of what we are to do!

Did The Most High trust in the precious Blood of Yahushua, [that was shed for remission of Sins,] in order to allow The Most High to ‘rest in Yahushua,’ thus allowing The Most High to ‘rest in the Grace of forgiveness of The Most High’s own sins,’ so that The Most High might be made righteous, so that The Most High would no longer struggle under a consciousness of Sin?

That explanation is one of several given to us by the Theological Seminaries and their blind graduates — most of the Pastors and Leaders of this generation — as an explanation of how they say we are to enter in to His rest!

How utterly absurd can the Doctrines of Men become, when held against the Blinding Light and Strong Meat of The Most High’s precious Word!

Did The Most High rest in either of the two ways given in the above examples? How did The Most High rest from His works?

Let’s see what Scripture tells us:

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. (Genesis 2:2-3)

We see the answer very clearly in the above passage: The Most High simply ceased his work, and rested on the literal seventh day!

We must stop spiritualizing Scripture, and return to the clear and simple meaning of Scripture, and return to the simplicity and rest that is found only in obedience to Messiah Yahushua!

According to the Scriptures, it is plain to see that we enter His rest in our literal obedience to the Fourth commandment — of resting from our literal works on the literal seventh day, just as The Most High rested from His works.

What we do is simply a matter of whether we are yoked to Yahushua, or not. If we are yoked to Him, we work when He works, and we rest when He rests. If Yahushua rests on the seventh day, then we do the same.

The pattern for us is in the Gospels, as well as the epistles, as testimony to what Yahushua [and the Disciples] did on the Sabbath day, as well as on the other Feast Day Sabbaths. If we can say, as the apostle Paul did, “Messiah liveth in me,” then let us ask ourselves these questions:

Questions to Ask Ourselves

Are we allowing Messiah to live in us in all His fullness, as revealed in the pages of the New Testament?

Are we preventing Messiah [who lives within our bodies] from observing the Feasts of His Father, in obedience to Scripture?

Do we say that Messiah lives within us, within our bodies — yet continue to refuse to allow Him-in-us to walk in obedience to the Scriptures, simply because of the teachings we have received?

Beloved, the New Testament is full of warnings, exhortations, and teachings, of simple, literal obedience to The Most High’s Commandments, and to all His judgments, ordinances, and precepts. The Scriptures tell us of the consequences of doing so, and of not doing so — even though under the New Covenant, we are given a choice (Matthew 11:29), and they are voluntary!

There are many, man-made ideas commonly taught today, saying that the ‘Old Testament’ commandments are not for New Covenant Believers. These ideas are not true, they have no foundation in Scripture whatsoever, and they contradict both ‘Old’ and ‘New’ Testament Scriptures!

So, why don’t we hear teaching today about the importance of ‘Labouring’ to enter His rest? It is because there are many weapons the enemy has arrayed against the Believing ones, the main one of which is the ‘Doctrines and Commandments of Men,’ which turn men from the Truth (Titus 1:14).
