Torah Portion--Nasso/Count Numbers 4:21-7:89; Judges 13:2-25, Philippians

Numbers 4:21-7:89; Judges 13:2-25, Philippians

We are walking in today:  Torah Portion--Nasso/Count  Numbers 4:21-7:89; Judges 13:2-25, Philippians

Witness lift up throughout the Bible:  H7311 ruwm to rise, rise up, be high, be lofty, be exalted, to be high, be set on high, to be raised, be uplifted, be exalted, to be lifted, rise
Genesis 40:13; Deuteronomy 32:40; Psalm 24:7, 27:5-7, 63:5, 146:8; Job 11:15; James 4:10; John 8:28, 1 2:32; 1 Peter 5:6

This portion includes the Aaronic blessing that is said at the end of our call by Pastor Lucinda and said at many other services.  This was done once all had been completed by the priests that they would lift up their hands and bless the people.  'May the Adonai bless you and keep you.  May Adonai  make His face to shine upon you.  May He lift up His countenance upon you and give you His peace'.  The next chapter we have the heads of the tribes bringing offerings to the tabernacle for the dedication.  The leaders of the tribes brought these items for the dedication of the tabernacle on their appointed day.  They brought clean animals for sin, burnt, peace offerings as well as plates, bowls, incense, and meal mingled with oil.  Once all the offerings were brought to the tabernacle for 12 days for each of the leaders of tribes the grand total of what was offered for the dedication appears in --Numbers 6:84-88 84 This was the dedication of the altar, in the day when it was anointed, by the princes of Israel: twelve chargers of silver, twelve silver bowls, twelve spoons of gold:  85 Each charger of silver weighing an hundred and thirty shekels, each bowl seventy: all the silver vessels weighed two thousand and four hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary:  86 The golden spoons were twelve, full of incense, weighing ten shekels apiece, after the shekel of the sanctuary: all the gold of the spoons was an hundred and twenty shekels. 87 All the oxen for the burnt offering were twelve bullocks, the rams twelve, the lambs of the first year twelve, with their meat offering: and the kids of the goats for sin offering twelve. 88 And all the oxen for the sacrifice of the peace offerings were twenty and four bullocks, the rams sixty, the he goats sixty, the lambs of the first year sixty. This was the dedication of the altar, after that it was anointed.  To hear more of this teaching click here.

Operating Under The Mantle Of Revelation/You, Woman--Are Important To Life

Judges 4, 5, 3:1-6; Acts 2:42; 1 Timothy 2:7; Ephesians 4:11-15; Acts 16:4; Job 22:28; 1 Samuel 17:29; Acts 2:43; 2 Corinthians 12:12; Acts 5:12, 19:11-12, 4:33; Daniel 7:21-22; Genesis 1:28; Judges 11:29-40, 16:1, 8:22-28; Genesis 2:21-24, 3:20; Proverbs 3:15

We are walking in today:  Operating Under The Mantle Of Revelation/You, Woman--Are Important To Life

Witness fight for you throughout the Bible:  H3898 lacham to do battle, make war, engage in war
Exodus 14:4; Deuteronomy 1:30, 3:22, 20:4; 2 Chronicles 20:17; Proverbs 23:11; Job 40:32

Fiveamprayer, we have been learning about what Yahweh has purposed for our lives over the last couple of months.  This walk or rather our return to our Hebraic roots and mindset, shows us where we missed His measurements.  We find that we have indeed in many cases toiled in vain.  Striving for man determined purposes which is not the assignment that He, Yahweh has given us.  Looking at some unlikely heroes at first glance allows us to see that on this journey if we don't allow for course corrections we will certainly be off course and not end up at the correct destination.   We have in the book of Judges, the children of Israel who are in a tough place.  This is the time before the kings and after Joshua dies who was the first judge.  We meet Deborah a judge who would be met under the palm tree to hearing cases and making decisions, who directs the solider Barak to fight the enemy who had been oppressing the people.  As we continue in the text they find that they were not without friends who supported them.  Here enters Jael who is a Kenite who took in the fleeing great warrior, Sisera who was loosing the battle against Israel.  In what appeared as kindness was feed milk and a blanket to rest and hide from his enemies in Jael's tent.  Once he slept upon the ground, she comes up with the tent peg and hammers it through his temples into the ground fast.  With the actions of these two women, the children of Israel had peace for 40 years.  This is not just a favorable story but one of importance for it is repeated twice.  We know when the Bible repeats things it is bringing emphasis to it.  When we know and walk in the purpose that we were made and crafted for--our very lives bring Him glory!  In our natural understanding it would seem that this could not happen.  We know that with Yahweh that all things are possible.  Those who have been assigned and sent are already equipped to complete the assignment.  Those who come with His word on their lips and heart will not agree nor promote the obsolete practices that have crept in unawares--that is sapping the strength of the community.  The breaking of bondage and chains of the man-determined practices that are abominable to Yahweh can not be stomached by those that are aligned for the divine assignment!  Walking in His light and allowing that light to shatter and scatter the lies, deceit and darkness that the church has come under the guise of.  This liberty of His truth and freedom to obey His instructions will pull the people out of the weary drudges of the past.  Standing in the face of any disobedience and will not be moved until the task is complete--this is the position of those aligned for divine assignment.
When we don't know or understand the purpose of a thing, that leads to confusion and abuse of that thing.  The shifting of roles, idenities and approved behaviors causes much abuse and confusion. When we go back to the beginning to find the instruction book of how to live and direct our lives we clear up all confusion.  There is no more self-defining of ourselves.  What does His word say about it?  That is the final word and the only word with power to be completed.  Women are incubators and will foster and germinate everything that they are given.  We had great examples of that from Deborah and Jael in the idea and process that was placed inside of them to being the completed plan 'to birth' at the appropriate time.  The glue that holds the family together, the teacher who instructs and cares for her children, the support and guidance for her husband are some of the roles that the woman will walk in during her life.  Due to the opinions of many, woman have been misplaced out of Yahweh's plan due to misinterpretation and here comes Abba our Father to let us know that women are important!  We, women are apart of His plan!  If woman was not necessary or needed--why would He place Adam into a deep sleep and take a rib and craft with His hands the 'help-meet that is suitable for him'?  This was not an afterthought!  This is a clear plan of purpose that we begin to see in Genesis 3 where the woman and the serpent are to war against each other, her seed crushing it's head and the serpent biting his heel.  Know that all things that He has set forth is according to His purpose.  Women of Yahweh, walking in the Torah, find the principles to take back the families, communities, churches for the kingdom of Elohim!  There is nothing like a mother fighting for her children--that is not a fight that anyone but the mother can win!  This instruction is to build up and be strengthened to stand and not move--don't back up, don't turn around.  Stand and stand therefore for all that He will do--will be accomplished!  As Esther had to stand in the face of her people being taken annihilated and risking her life, approaching the king without permission which is a death sentence without his pardon.  What is is that you have to stand and not move on?  Where has Yahweh placed you to be a beacon of light, showing His truth?  Know that He is sending out others to fight but you are to stand.  We don't have to back up--you are a law abiding citizen!  The law is not an concern unless you break it--we are following His instructions and they actually support us!  Don't you know that when we walk in the Torah we find that the Torah is keeping us--not the other way around!?  To hear this teaching again click here.

Character Check--The Maverick

Exodus 5:1-9, 7:10-14, 7:16-23, 8:1-15, 11:1-10, 12:29-33, 14:5-10, 14:27-28; Daniel 3:1-20, 3:23-28

We are walking in today:  Character Check--The Maverick

Witness maverick throughout the Bible:  an unothordox or independent person, independent in behavior or thought especially in resisting policies of a group to which they belong--non conformist, free spirit, original, eccentric, decenter, loose cannon, resist
Zechariah 3:1; Job 9:4; Eccelasties 4:12; Daniel 11:15; Luke 21:15; Acts 7:51; Romans 9:19, 13:2; Ephesians 4:18, 6:13; Hebrews 12:4; James 4:7

The person who is labeled a maverick are those who resist outer rules they relate to people and inner rules how they relate to Yahweh.  This resistance to all the rules we have a perfect example with pharoah when Moses comes to ask for the children of Israel to go three days journey to worship the God of the Hebrews.  Yet with every plague and display of power, his heart is hardened to not allow the people to leave even after Moses prays to lift the plague.  This refusal to honor the requests from others is another characteristic of the maverick.  Yet mavericks are great leaders, very convincing of those around them to get on board with their 'plan'.  Mavericks don't inquire about what they are being charged to do--they just won't do it.  They are not interested in further details because they have no intention of competing the task--it had not even crossed their mind that they would even lift a hand to begin.  They are very competitive and like to show that they can do it better than anyone else.  Unfortunately, mavericks only learn through pain.  That is how they learn--as we see with pharoah who allowed them to leave with the death of his first born son.  Once they were gone, he reversed himself and then pursued them to the Red Sea.  Mavericks don't stop until they drop, we see that pharoah and his army were all in pursuit even into the Red Sea--where they lost their lives.
Another example of the maverick is in the book of Daniel with the three Hebrew boys--Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah who did not question nor plead to the king why they will not follow the king's decree.  They were upfront with the king to let him know that they will not bow nor worship the statute or any one but He who is worthy, Yahweh alone.  Even while facing the fiery furnace they did not budge.  That is the maverick trait in full effect.  This unmovable, standing fast personality will not complete a list of things to do.  They are best directed, indirectly in things that they think are their idea.  These are two examples of the maverick--let us be unmovable and steadfast in the things of Yahweh!  That we will not turn back or turn around.  This type of stubbornness can be beneficial since they don't stop until they drop.  So keep going forward for the kingdom of Yahweh as we have in the book of Daniel.  To hear this again click here

Being A Character, Or Finding His Proper Character?

Mark 1:16-20; John 8:31, 13:13-15; Luke 14:26; 1 Corinthians 2:11; John 6:44; 1 Corinthians 2:7-14; Ecclesiastes 3:9-11; 1 Corinthians 15:23-28; Revelation 3:21, 5:10, 20:4; Romans 10:2

We are walking in today:  Being A Character, Or Finding His Proper Character?

Witness language throughout the Bible: H8193 saphah lip, speech, shore, bank, brink, brim, side, edge, border, binding
Genesis 11:1, 11:6-7, 11:9; Jeremiah 5:16; Zephaniah 13:9; Psalm 81:5, 114:1-2; Acts 2:6

Building our character, but what is it?  Character is what we are in the dark, you know when no one is looking or could see--what is your behavior?  What are your fundamental rules of engagement?  How do we interact with others?  We have what we are taught or learned from others--only with direction from an infallible source can direct or correct us to be in proper actions.  The actions deemed proper by the community or authority.  The instructions that we have left off, the Torah will teach us about His character Yahweh.  How He sees His people and how they are to interact with each other.  Do we make conscious efforts to choose the right choices?  That is a major point in building of our character.  We are free to choose but will we choose the right choice?  This progression from one choice to the next choice allows for development of our character.  This is allowed for us for we have the scales removed from our eyes to accomplish this.  Otherwise we are not free to choose for we do not have the ability to 'see' each choice.  Our mind has to be more than open to the truth but actually be in action to move towards the truth throughout our actions and decisions.  Can we say in our daily lives would we be seen as Christ-like?  Or is that only our perception?  Now we all have various opinions but this review according to scripture would we actually line up with the way that He lived while walking on the Earth?  The development of character is very important and must be seen and viewed as a ongoing process that we would not fall backwards in getting into other practices or habits.  Hold fast to the instructions of Yahweh but be careful not to set others at opposition by having this action placed in higher standards than care for those in the community.  A charge that some of the pharisees were accused of by Yeshua when He saw how they upheld the commands over legitimate human needs.  Don't forget that the 613 instructions are for us to know how to treat those in the community as well as our relationship with Yahweh.  To hear this again click here.

400. You shall observe the overtures for peace and war --Deuteronomy 20:11-12 11 And it shall be, if it make thee answer of peace, and open unto thee, then it shall be, that all the people that is found therein shall be tributaries unto thee, and they shall serve thee. 12 And if it will make no peace with thee, but will make war against thee, then thou shalt besiege it:
401. A man who issues a slander against a virgin of Israel shall be punished --Deuteronomy 22:18-19 18 And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him; 19 And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.

404. You shall not remarry your divorced wife after she has remarried another man --Deuteronomy 24:4  Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the Lord: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.

405. A husband shall not be obligated from home for the first year --Deuteronomy 24:5 When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.

406. The brother of a man who dies childless shall marry his brother's wife (Levirate Marriage) --Deuteronomy 25:5
If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband's brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband's brother unto her.

Fiveamprayer, lets take a look at Romans chapter 3 and find if Yahweh will remain faithful, even when we are unfaithful?  He upholds the covenant even when we don't but does that mean that we no longer have to put forth effort to live our lives according to the covenant?  All of His word stands--it stands forever!  We may be given a time for our mistakes but we are not to continue in our mistakes and disobedience to Yahweh.  That is why He has us reading 10 principles every week that we would come to learn, follow and understand the 613 principles that is what the world was built upon, how we are to come before Him and how we are charged to treat each other.  In our error they were thrown out and disregarded, yet no where in scriptures whether the first or second half is it said that any part of His word has failed or been reversed.  Yeshua came to bring the Torah to a greater understanding that is the meaning of fulfill in Hebrew, not to cause it to cease.  That is why He says I did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it.  The Hebraic understanding of abolish is the incorrect interpretation of the Torah or Moses' teachings.  The direction that He give to those who are the temple teachers at the time--was to do what they teach but not what they do for they do not live their lives according to what they teach!
The importance of His words, the oracles, the Davar Elohim, Word of God is that they can only be placed or reside in the place that is suited for His Spirit to rest.  One of the first places that we can find this resting is on Mount Sinai when the people recieved the Torah.  This was at the conclusion of the 50 days of counting from the feast of first fruits.  The instructions that the children of Israel are directed in making the tent of meeting, the mobile moving tabernacle.  The place where His presence rested over the ark of the covenant that held the tablets of the 10 commandments.  This same presence of Yahweh rested also in the temple of Solomon that was built with what King David collected for him, before his death.  The new temple was the new resting place for the ark of the covenant and where the people assembled to meet Yahweh according to the feast days and the appointed times.  This temple stood for many years until it was destroyed and the second temple was built.  The word of God, the davar Elohim, the first oracles of God resided in the ark.  He will only have His word in the place that He designates.  Fiveamprayer, He has called us out to cross over into our Hebraic roots.  In going back to the original, starting from the beginning we will find why He is drawing us back to Him.  Will we seek to walk in His statues and judgements?  Being in a actual relationship where we have our part to play.  We can no longer sit back and be inactive, we have what we are to fulfill.  Because of you answering His call He comes to write the Torah in our hearts and minds that we will be His tabernacle, His temple the place where His oracles reside.  We are His place where His Spirit rests, the carriers of His word.  We must try to walk in all of His instructions to the best of our ability.  With repetition we will get better and it will soon become a habit and firm part of our lifestyle that we don't consciously think about it.  Like everything that we learn in our youth or years ago with the repeating of the action--becomes a habit.  We are seeking to make or maintain good habits take less effort and will allow for our life to run smoothly which was His design!  He does not want His people to toil over every decision when He has given us all of the directions for marriages, family, time with Yahweh, finances, health--every area of our lives!  He did not leave anything out yet, we did when we would not follow His benefits that were given to us, to preserve, protect and prosper us.  Go back to the beginning, that is where we got off track.  Consider a builder who did not set the proper foundation due to being in a hurry to put on the roof.  Yes the roof is important and needed for the completing of the structure of the house.  Due to the haste of the builder who did not allow the foundation to cure to the proper strength with time, caused the house to have one of the walls to fall in and one of the others to have a hole at the bottom where it meets the foundation.  Now will this be some thing that can be repaired?  Upon inspection they find cracks throughout the foundation and deemed a condemned structure.  Now the house will have to be knocked down and begun again.  Wouldn't it be better to start off properly than to continue with a condemned structure that is in need of constant and desperate repairs?  What kind of life can you live if you are in constant fear of the roof falling in at any minute?  When the foundation could be layed and built upon properly?  The oracle of God that is mentioned in the second half of the Bible is the same word of God, that Moses received on the top of the mountain.  Fiveamprayer we have to go back and get this right!  Walking in the totality of His word from Genesis to Revelation!  The whole word is what He gave us and and we must apply this to our lives, study to know Him truly and that we will know how we are to operate and live in the community.  Take time to look at these scriptures to find were we got off track and return to the way, the truth and the life directed in His word!  To hear this again click here.

Torah Portion--Bamidbar/In The Wilderness

 Numbers 1:1-4:20; Hosea 2:1-22; Ephesians

We are walking in today:  Torah Portion--Bamidbar/In The Wilderness, Numbers 1:1-4:20; Hosea 2:1-22; Ephesians

Witness wilderness throughout the Bible-- H4057 midbar meaning desert
Deuteronomy 32:10; Psalm 68:8, 78:17; Job 24:5; Matthew 4:1, 14:13; Mark 1:13; Luke 1:8, 4:1; Acts 36-39, 7:44; Hebrews 3:7-9, 3:16-18

This portions begins in the book of Numbers which is called bamidar in Hebrew for the first line of the text 'in the wilderness'.  This was translated as Numbers, possibly due to the census that was taken for the men that were 20 years old and fit for military service.  This count did not include the people in the tribe of Levi.  They were assigned to be Yahweh's servants in the tabernacle and all things related to that service.  With the designations of the numbers and assignments of the tribes the placement of their camps by banner were also given.  The tribe of Levi was divided into four groups to be the closest to set up their tents around the tabernacle, while the other tribes were also assigned positions around the tabernacle at some distance.  The purpose of the count of the children of Israel lets us know how they had swelled in number.  From the small group that came up at Joseph's instruction during the famine to now such a large number in totality and for each tribe themselves.  We have in the Torah that the first born males are for Yahweh, this dedication is then placed to the whole tribe of Levi being given to Yahweh for the first born males from the children of Israel.  Like the first born male animals were to be given to Yahweh in an offering, the tribe of Levi were given for the first born males.  They were to serve in the tabernacle and the care for the items and all upkeep.  The other tribes would support them.  This designation of the first born males is from the last plague they experienced in Egypt, before pharoah letting the children of Israel go.  So in here we have the first born males being set apart for Yahweh amongst all the people, the tribe of Levi.  The further assigning of all of the tribes to each side at a distance around the tent of meeting or the tabernacle shows the order that when they broke camp where each tribe was to 'fall into line'.  The directions that are given are detailed and are to be followed.  This organizing of the people into their camps and order will better assist such a large group traveling in the wilderness.  The wilderness we have often thought was a place that was distant and harsh place to live.  When we look to see that Yahweh is directing and orchestrating all things it shows the people as well as us that the only source we should ever depend upon is Yahweh!  Even for those of us with all kinds of resources--if Yahweh deems those resources to cease, we must never forget that He is our provider!  This time in the wilderness allowed for less distractions to learn the ways that Yahweh is teaching the children of Israel as they come of out of the slavery mindset and walk into an ownership mindset.  Remember He is giving them land once they come out of the wilderness.  What good would it do to give land to people who still have a slavery mindset?  Not much, for the mindset of the owner of manager of land is totally different.  With a shifting in their thoughts from the past to the present and reliance on Elohim to provide.  They will be ready for the land that He waters from the sky and is ever watchful over the land that is lush and rich land to be envied by many.  But it is this land that has been set apart for them, His chosen, His beloved.Fiveamprayer there is a shift in our thoughts and how we consider things.  We no longer have a need to be fearful and worried which is more of a slavery mindset--the path that El Shaddai has put us on is at His direction and He already knows the outcome!  When we come to having a ownership or manager of land mindset we are not thinking in a woe is me but look at the situation with clear thinking and following the instructions of Adonai.  To here more of this teaching click here.

Wrong Thinking, Leads To The Wrong Destination

Psalm 28:6-9; Romans 12:2-3; Psalm 29:11, 27:14; 1 Corinthians 15:31; Proverbs 16:18; 1 Samuel 15:9, 23

We are walking in today: Wrong Thinking, Leads To The Wrong Destination

Witness Men on an exdous to Torah in the 21st century in the Bible--  Jeremiah the prophet stands up to speak from 30:17-25

Fiveamprayer be aware that there are things that are taking our focus from Yahweh.  The hindrances are becoming like idols--the time that we spend on them.  This is time that we should be spending with Him.  These blockages, obstructions, or burdensome things that cause delay is not where we should focus our energy.  Certainly the hindrances are not able to free is from what is in our path, that we in turn put in His path to us.  Destination is some where or some place were a person or item is being sent.  Once we get to our destination it is our divine appointment.  The hindrances are an attempt to keep us from our destination.  Remember this is not our plan--it is Yahweh's plan!  It is His purpose that will prevail.  We will find situations made less comfortable to prod us into the right direction but do we rely on our sight over His word?  Do we truly leave it in His hands and sit in expectation of His promises?  When we die daily and renew our minds to be focused on that which He has set before us.  His word is unfailing!  It is on His word that we can and should stand!  Where do we find hindrances--pride, the trust in our abilities that we would even dare to boast in our abilities.  With clear thinking we can set aside pride and trust that He will handle it.  He does not need out help--we don't need to share our issues with everyone.  Our trust is to be in Him!  Fear is another hindrance that is an obstacle in our path.  Do we trust in what Adonai has said?  Isn't He in control of all things.  Rely is He alone who is worthy and abides faithful!  Fiveamprayer take steps to get in motion on that thing that Yahweh has given you to do.  That thing that you have been running from and dodging.  The questions that we have to His instruction and the avoidance to His voice is rebellion.  Follow His instructions He has our best interest at heart.  Whether we come willingly or by His plan.  Wake up Fiveamprayer and hear and obey that which Yahweh is speaking to us.  The reliance on ourselves places us in a dangerous position of pride and rebellion.  The plans that we make and even believe are better than His--leads us further and further away from Him.  When we come to understand that we need His understanding, that we will no longer pursue the hindrances in our choices or behaviors  To hear more of this teaching click here.

Check Your Character--The Challenger

Jonah; Exodus 18:13-27; John 11

We are walking in today:  Check Your Character--The Challenger

Witness challenge/challenger throughout the Complete Jewish Bible:  one who causes another to take part in a competition--athletically, intellectually or in battle
1 Samuel 17:10, 17:16, 17:25-26, 17:45; Jeremiah 50:24; Psalms 66:7, 78:41, 95:9; Daniel 8:25; Acts 5:8; Hebrews 3:9

In our review of our characters and the characteristics in the community, we come to look at the 'challenger'.  These are the people who ask questions on top of questions.  This is for there understanding--by asking questions.  This is not necessarily intended to be disrespectful but this is their process to understand the process or instruction.  There are other elements to the challenger based on being a high level or low level challenger.  The low level challenger is seeking these answers to assist the community.  That they will obtain the details needed for processing the information to keep the direction and intentions of the community on the correct path.  The questions of why much like when a child will ask the same--can cause you to consider and really look at the reasons behind the 'why'.  When this is done for understanding or for a review of a situation it brings about a discussion to address an issue.  When the questions are to be a disrespectful toward leadership, then you have a high level challenger who is not seeking the benefit of the community--they feel that they are above and have no need to relent from this pursuit of questions.  This type of activity, in some cases undermines or derails the focus of the group.
As we see in the book of Jonah we have the prophet who decided to go another route than he was instructed and obtained passage on a ship.  While he was down below sleeping, the sailors were fighting the storm and crying out to find why the winds and waves were so rough with them.  In there pleas to various gods they eventually come to ask Jonah about his background to see if this storm was because of him.  Fiveamprayer we have to know who is on the boat with us.  We don't have to throw anyone over board but we must be aware of those that we engage with--is this is a wise association.  Does this person get to receive an all access pass to the information of the community?  The challenger can actually bring about solutions to a problem because of their questions they are looking and searching things out, to find a better way or process.  As Jethro told Moses that he must teach the children of Israel, the laws of Yahweh so that the people are not wore out nor Moses himself!  The were people divided into groups and judged by righteous men by various levels and only the most difficult decisions brought to Moses.  To hear more of the awesome teaching click here.

The Power Of Forgetting--Forgive and Release, Them and Yourself

We are walking in today:  The Power Of Forgetting--Forgive and Release, Them and Yourself

Witness remember no more throughout the Bible: H2142  zakar never to mention, taking no record of,
Isaiah 65:17; Jeremiah 31:33; Ezekiel 23:27; Zechariah 13:2; Psalms 83:5; Hebrews 8:12; 10:17

The power of forgetting is a very important lesson that Rabbi Messer taught in the spring leadership conference and it was revisited again on this last Shabbat.  When we look back to the teaching that we have had over the last couple of days gives us another side to review in forgiveness and forgetting the past.  The Torah portion last week gave us the directions for the years of Sabbath, every 7 years a rest a the Shemittah and counting 7 of those years, the Jubilee.  This release included those who were indebted to each other.  This is the forgiveness that they were commanded for entering the land.  That if their brother was sold to pay bills--they were to redeem them.  This is what we must do!  The forgetfulness that Yahweh has places our sins that they are as far as the east is from the west. That is the same action that we are to take with those who have harmed, hurt, offended, us--including ourselves!  We are not to be found holding ought against our brothers--we are to release them.  There is a purpose for all things--Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  Remember for Yahweh to no longer count our sins against us, we must forgive others! No matter how much it hurts, remaining in unforgiveness hurts even more!  That distance that is wedged for our disobedience.  We have wrongly believed that forgiving allows the other person to win.  This is not about them!  This is about you!  What is the instruction?  What is Yahweh's expectation?  We see in the life of Joseph who did no wrong--was abandoned, sold into slavery, falsely accused, jailed, forgotten, overlooked and all of this was over many years before he was pulled out of the prison.  He was able to forgive and forget what he suffered for he found purpose in the suffering. There is a point to the pain.  That you would be able to speak to someone who has the same suffering.  Those who will need a guide of how to get out of that world or hurt.  We will learn that in His great plan for each of us that it was never an accident nor without a purpose!  There is production found in the pain.  Remember the mother, in childbirth is experiencing very high levels of pain--some say the highest.  Yet once the child is placed in their arms--the purpose is clear.  That as time goes on, she may have more children.  The pain must be purposed so that you can release the offense that you are not locked in position, because the pain did not serve a purpose.  We must take time today to write the names of those that we will release.  In our prayers we will petition Yahweh to help us to do this!  We are applying His scriptures to be able to come out of the bondage of unforgiveness that will keep us from moving forward.  In finding the purpose, His purpose--the pain will serve a purpose, it was not in vain.  Only if you remain stuck and not seek to move beyond to His plans.  There is much that we have to understand and He comes as Abba to teach us the way to go that we would no longer be in disobedience or out of order!  First we are looking to our words, now our character and finding purpose in the pain--the power to forget To hear more of this teaching click here.

We are a society that is not looking for instructions--it is prized to be different and unique.  Upon closer look at this we find that without proper instruction we find many issues that will come to plague society.  This lack of instructions shows in the character that we display in our lives.  We are to be people of integrity that are found at all times doing the right thing.  This is not just for show, but even when no one is looking.  This information comes to us but we don't walk in it, results in poor decisions.  Like many of us that will get a new item that comes with instructions but we figure that we can figure it out on our own.  Depending on how delicate or sensitive the item is, we could actually break it, on the first day due to not taking the time to read the instructions.  They were reviewed by the company who made the item to tell you the intended uses for the item.  For example on hair dyers you will see a large tag that has writing telling you not to use in the shower or the tub, there is also a picture displaying the same thing.   Why?  Because the manufacturer does not want, you the consumer to be harmed by their product.  Like the instructions that we get from our parents when children and performing new task for the first time there is more detail and even examples given.  Yahweh is doing the same with us.  Do you notice how some things keep coming up over and over?  That we can no longer speak just any thing?  That we must study the word for ourselves to truly know what He is speaking to us?  That we are not allowed the leeway that we have abused--but now comes the correction, direction and instruction!  This is not a bad thing nor a harsh thing unless you feel that you know better than the Creator of the universe.  Ask Job how the 'why question' worked out.  You were not there when the foundations of the world were set in place, certainly you don't know better than the King of kings and the Lord of lords!  Fiveamprayer, the instructions that He gives us are found from Genesis to Revelation that we have not only the what to do but example, after example of those who were obedient to instruction or those disobedient to instruction.  A great way to view this is in the parable of Yeshua in Matthew chapter 7 of those who build on rock or those who build on sand tells us the outcome of those who will or dismiss the instructions of Yahweh.  He gives us this as a tool, assistance that we would be able to live the best possible life.  That we would look out for and care for others--even correcting according to His word.  So that they would not continue to build on sand that when the winds and rains come will bring about a great fall of their house.  If they would return to the directions that He wrote and lived out for us we could be a benefit to others and have a blessed life.  That is what He desires for us but we have to seek His directions to obtain this.
So many of us these days have varied and shifting standards which is disturbing since each person may have their own personal standard that is unlike anyone elses.  Can man say alone which way is the right way?  Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.  Who is higher and loftier to know and see all things?!  Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.   This character that Yahweh comes to each us about after our study on our tongues is to continue the refining process--the more work that He does on us, the more we will look like Him!  To hear this again click here.

Torah Portion Behar/On The Mountain & Bechukotai/In My Decrees

 Leviticus 25:1-27:34; Jeremiah 16:19-17:14; Galatians

We are walking in today:  Torah Portion Behar/On The Mountain & Bechukotai/In My Decrees

Witness mount throughout the Bible:  H2022 har hill, hillcountry, promotion

We have been given a double portion this morning, Fiveamprayer.  Each portion is named from the beginning words from that portion.  Here in Behar, on the mountain we have the directions that Moses received from Yahweh that the children of Israel are to follow once they came into the land that was promised to them.  To observe Sabbath year.  Every 7th year was to be a Sabbath rest for the land.  They could all freely eat of what grew of its own in the 7th year but they were not to plant nor bring in harvest in the 7th year.  Yahweh would make certain that they would have enough to eat without planting.  This is a action of trust. these are agricultural people.  They would not expect a crop to spring up without the land being tended to, planted and cared for. Yet this is what Adonai, their God instructs them to do.  Then after counting 7 Sabbath years the children of Israel were to go in the Jubilee season on the day of Atonement--a time of liberty throughout all the land and its inhabitants.  They could all eat freely of the land--they were not to sow nor gather up what grew on its own.  The property that was purchased now returned to the original owner.  The price of the land was based on the years until the Jubilee--they are warned not to cheat each other due to the years left until the Jubilee.  They were to set fair prices so that they will do well in the land that He is giving them.  There is the specific admonishment that the land is never to be sold permanently to anyone, for it is Yahweh's land and He is the one that is giving it to the children of Israel, that they must provide redemption for the land.  There is provision for the brothers who may become poor and they sell themselves into slavery, they are to be redeemed and not allowed to remain in the property of foreign people. If they sell themselves to a wealthier brother they are to be treated as hired servants and will go free in the year of Jubilee.
With the other directions of how to manage slaves from the surrounding nations, we come to the second of our double portion--Bechukotai.  Here we have His decrees that gives the outcome of obedience.  The children of Israel will have the rains in the proper seasons, all the crops will yield at the proper times and there will not be any gap in the provision--for He will deal bountifully with His people!  For keeping His sabbaths and not setting up idols nor following after foreign gods.  This obedience also results in their enemies being unsuccessful in coming upon them.  The Israelites will be in peace and have victory over every enemy that attempts an attack.  But we must not stop there, what happens in disobedience?  Terror, diseases, all that is planted is eaten by their enemies, being ruled by those who hate them and running when no one is chasing them are the results of not upholding His directions, for considering them unworthy to obey.  The total disregard of the laws and statues of Yahweh yields the people being in a position of disregard by Him!  The pleas for help from enemies, the seeking out crops for the family provision and livelihood are all to naught.  This lets us know that like the children of Israel in those days, like today we can choose to follow His instructions for our wellbeing and benefit--not only for us but the whole community!  We have in the first portion that we are to buy back the land of our brothers or even our brothers ourselves that they would not remain in financial bondage.  The counting up to Jubilee afforded the standard for land prices and other items of purchase until it was returned to the original owner but never sold permanatly out of their hands for the land was given to them and Yahweh is the true land lord.  Click here to hear this again.

Yahweh Has A Question For Us--Ayekea--Where Are You?

James 2:14-26; Genesis 3

We are walking in today:  Yahweh Has A Question For Us--Ayekea--Where Are You?

Witness renew throughout the Bible:  H2318 chadash  to be new, renew, repair
1 Samuel 11:14; Isaiah 40:31, 41:1; Psalm 51:10; Lamentations 5:21; Hebrews 6:6

Fiveamprayer we have to know that this simple question to Adam in the garden of Eden after being disobedient is a question for all of us today.  We know that Yahweh is the all seeing, all knowing, all powerful, mightiest of the Mighty Ones!  Surely He knows precisely where Adam is located.  The real thing that He is teaching Adam and us today is do we know where we are?  Much like a small child who will wander off in the store and will hear the call of there parent, to look around to find 'where their location is'.  We receive our directional point from the highest authority, the Creator of the Universe, Yahweh.  Our moral and spiritual compass is found in Yahweh and His word.  Without His guidance will we know when we have strayed?  In this question, we find if we have gone too far?  This question causes us to check our position, did we stop short of the goal?  We can see with
Adam and Eve that were in hiding, is not a response that works for this question.  Because they did not want to face their misstep, wrong decision or action.
When wrong doing is found in a community--that has clear definitions of the good and right things to do, address the issue of the wrong doers to feel shame.  This shame stems from consequences and inflicts the offenders to make repairs and return to the correct way.  The clear boundaries in communities and well known expectations motivates those in error to return to the right way.  Adam and Eve were a community of 2 and they both were out of position to provoke the other to return to the correct way.  This question is to give us pause and consider where we are.  How did we get here?  What actions ended in this result?  What changes can be made to effect a different result?  To truly take stock of our current situation to know where we are that we don't have to hide when Yahweh comes to ask us Ayekea?  Click here to hear this teaching again.

Character Check--The Keeper

John 17:6-19; 2Thessalonians 2:10-12; Psalms 103:1-4;  2 Corinthians 8:9, 5:20; 1 Timothy 6:11, 1 Samuel 25

We are walking in today:  Character Check--The Keeper

Witness keeper throughout the Bible:  H7462 ra`ah to pasture, tend, graze, feed, be a friend of, be companions, be a special friend, of ruler, teacher
Genesis 4:2, 4:9, 39:21-23, 1 Samuel 17:20, 17:22, 28:2; Jeremiah 35:4; Nehemiah 2:8,
3:29; Esther 2:3, 2:8; Psalm 121:5; Song of Solomon 1:6; Acts 16:27, 16:36

The study of the taming of the tongue is just the start, Fiveamprayer.  It was only the beginning--while we continue to look at what our tongue has to say about it, we also have to look into our characteristics.  Our word choice and how and when we speak gives insight to those around you.  We also need to consider the words that those around us are using.  What kind of habits do they have?  What are the behaviors that you can expect from them?  When we come to look to the the statues and decrees that Yahweh has given us to govern our lives, what areas do we find ourselves?  Fiveamprayer we have to know how we and those around us operate.  This will assist us in the up-building the community.  The various types are all needed but we have to understand how they all work to be successful in that which He has set before us.  The character type we are looking to today is the keeper.  These are the ones who keep the rules and if there are no rules they will make some.  Self motivated and very easily accomplish what they set out to do.  While they may appear rigid or harsh it is just that they will not move away from the rules.  That is their needed guideline, without rules they are lost.  For a community as a whole, the keepers set the boundaries so that there  would be order.  Being self starters, they are able to get many tasks done that many can benefit.
Those of us who recall the swift actions of Abigail for the harsh words her husband gave to David and his men after they had protected the livestock and shepherds to Nabal's benefit--intervened to save her household.  She, being a woman of good understanding did not hesitate for David could have ended up with unnecessary blood on his hands and jeopardizing his kingship.  Thank You Yahweh for giving us an example of a keeper from Your word, 2 Samuel 25-- that we can look to in this character study!  To here more of this teaching click here.

The Summation--Taming of the Tongue & the Fourth Commandment

James 3; Exodus 16

We are walking in today:  The Summation--Taming of the Tongue & the Fourth Commandment

Witness growth throughout the Bible:  H6779 tsamach to spring up, to bud forth, grow up.
Leviticus 22:21-23; 2 Samuel 23:4-6; Isaiah 15:5-7, 21:12-14; Psalm 65:10-12; Job 5:15

Fiveamprayer, we give all honor and glory to Yahweh for teaching us that we would grow and learn how to use our tongues--speaking life and stirring our brothers and sisters to do well.  We can see this from the beginning with Cain--Genesis 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.  The instructions were given to us to be in aliment with His purpose and plan.  We learn how far we have strayed from what He intended in our study of the tongue.  Now that it seems that our tongue fast is over--don't be mistaken--this is a lifestyle change!!  This is not like a crash diet that you use to loose weight before a high school reunion.  This is the healthy changes made for a better condition of your body.  This is not in a hurry nor can it be ignored or disregarded.  There much that Yahweh has shown and continues to show us from this study.  Don't think that He is done getting you cleaned up!  Remember the words that you speak are seeds, so what are you sowing?  Are those around you being improved by what you utter?  If not what changes must you make to create a better atmosphere for yourself and those around you.  We did see that what is spoken can also be contagious and infect others.  What if we considered infusing the good and holy things of Yahweh in our words and how we treat others?  There is also non-verbal communication--we are to be aware of and regulate according to His design for the community.
The reading of the 613 commandments on Fridays has now completed the fourth commandment--'remember the Sabbath, to sanctify it'.  The instructions found for fourth commandment contains 102 commands.  These each give more details or examples of how to observe and keep the standards that Yahweh has given us.  Wow, 613 commandments and we just finished reading over 100 of them!  It sounds like alot but read them over and note that many of these you are already doing and not many changes need to be made to uphold even more!  What we have to see in His instructions and directions is that this is not an option nor a punishment.  When you were young and spent time with grandma or granddad you know what to expect and they also have expectations for you as well.  When those expectations are not meet there was not a question of the outcome.  Once you became grown you appreciated that instruction from that previous generation.  When viewed only from one side it could look like mistreatment but when the whole view is considered you find the benefits you reap from their firm hand of direction.  These commandments are the same--that in our obedience we find later that the purpose was served from His direction.  Just as we knew that our grandparents would not allow serious harm to come to us, Yahweh is the same.  Some times we must be corrected and that is not going to be fun but will it keep you from major harm had the corrections not redirected us!  With new eyes and His understanding look again at His instructions and think back to see where you have already followed His principles that He set forth for His people to be holy, for He is holy.  To hear more of this teaching click here.

377. You shall not eat leavened bread with the Passover --Deuteronomy 16:3
Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.

381. You shall not enslave a woman captured in war --Deuteronomy 21:14
382. You shall not turn over a slave who is rescued from his master to you --Deuteronomy 23:15 Thou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant which is escaped from his master unto thee:
383. You shall not taunt a slave who is rescued from his master to you --Deuteronomy 23:16 He shall dwell with thee, even among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress him.
384. You shall observe the laws of marriage and divorce --Deuteronomy 24:1 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
385. A husband shall be free for his home for the first year --Deuteronomy 24:5 When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
386. You shall read the Torah to all of Israel during Sukkot in each Sabbatical year --Deuteronomy 31:12 Gather the people together, men and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the Lord your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:
While we close out the taming of the tongue today, we may have thought that we were able to bypass any harm by being silent.  Hold on, that is not always the answer!   There is a time to be quiet, yet we are not to abuse this.  Can that be possible?  Ok how about giving someone the silent treatment?  Ignoring them outright.  This is more than an cooling off period for both people to settle down to able to speak and be heard clearly.  This is the holding on to this silence and not seeking to resolve the issue.  We are not to allow things to fester and set into bitterness and hardened anger.  Some of us may have thought, in our error, that not responding was the right response.  Try again!  We are to resolve the issues we have with each other for the well being of the relationship, family and community.  We have seen when issues go unresolved that many others become involved that have no actual say nor were they harmed but have now gathered with their opinion!  The longer the 'conversation' is delayed it can take that much longer to restore the relationship.  We have to understand that the silent treatment is actually abuse--with holding attention for the sake of punishment when we should be working to resolve the issue and not allowing it to drag on and become a worst situation.  We have come through all the 30 different tongues in the taming of our tongue--now we will be aware of that which causes division and is in conflict with His directions for our lives.  To hear more of this teaching click here.

Fiveamprayer, our current society is very focused on telling the secrets of others.  That is often what prompts you to click that youtube link or read that magazine in the grocery store.  Those things that need correction by Yahweh, are not for us to run about discussing it with others!  Don't forget that we too have things we prefer for everyone not to know--yes those skeletons in your closet.  I am sure you would like these things not to be a common place discussion amongst your friends or even people who don't know you.  We have to consider we--mankind have been made in His image.  The mistreatment we have towards any man is also disrespect towards Yahweh Himself.  We have to be aware and very careful of our judgement or sharing that which is not for us to share.  Can you imagine that people have suffered under torture to not tell secrets, yet when operating in an indiscreet tongue will actually go out of their way to share the secrets of others?!  We have gotten very far from His directions of that good and right way to go--the Torah!  How far removed are we from our sins and errors in the light of others downfallen state?    The same mercy that they are seeking, you may be seeking it yourself some day.  You would not like to hear that the mercy that they could not get from you is not available for you now that you are in need.  We have been on this tongue fast, for this 30 day study to be able to speak as the King would have us to speak.  Our words have power either life or death.  All that we utter we will give an account, let me type that slowly---Every. Word. We. Speak. We. Will. Give. An. Account!  We have to be mindful and ask for repentance for our missteps and focus on walking in the foot steps of Yeshua!  Don't you know that we are being cleaned up to enter into His presence like never before!  Go back to the beginning, the children of Israel were in preparation for the giving of the Torah and the Holy Spirit, both happened on the same date Shavout and Pentecost years and years apart!  Both come from His throne and in His presence, we are to be presentable before the King both inside and out.  We have to get cleaned up on the inside this is not as simple as changing clothes, but mindset, word choice and conduct.  Do we walk as He walked on the earth?  Has this shown you yet, that we can only succeed with Him?  Ask Him to walk with you.  Ask Him to show you how.  Will we be seen as His reflection?  Are we keeping or revealing?  Protecting or damaging?  Did we appoint ourselves as judge?  However you judge others will be used to judge you!  Now when that spotlight is on you--you find out how hot and bright that light is that you had in their face, while under the same scrutiny.  Consider and ask forgiveness for being our of order and taking the King's place for what you feel was incorrect--He will handle it--your response is not needed.   But what you can do is to pray for their correction at the hands of Yahweh!   The correction is never prompted by us---ever!  Only Yahweh is without fault and blame!  Take your mouth off of people!  Don't share the downfall of others--pray for them!

The Loquacious Tongue--Many Words, But For What Purpose?

Proverbs 10:11-21, 17:28, 10:19

We are walking in today:  The Loquacious Tongue--Many Words, But For What Purpose?

Witness loquacious throughout the Bible:  tending to talk a great deal
Proverbs 10:8, 20:19

We have to not only consider our content, but also the quantity of our words, Fiveamprayer.  Today is the 28th day and we are looking upon the motor mouth--the loquacious tongue.  Fiveamprayer be aware that we are not well heard for our much speaking.  In some cases the amount of words we use can be disregarded.  Much like a small child that will keep saying the same thing over and over again.  It has been noted that when we speak longer than 10 minutes our conversations will cease being fruitful.  We do not want to be seen as a foolish person who does not know when to stop.  Or will continue to their detriment or unnecessarily.  We have to be aware of our audience and better yet consider our speech before speaking.  Remember that being silent is an option as well.  We can choose our words to be enriching, encouraging and enlightening to the listeners, if not--shush!  Be aware that many fools are revealed in their over use of speaking.  In some cases it is seen that the one who speaks first is the one more anxious or worried.   Those who are confident and sure will keep their silence.  Let our words be measured, fitting and few.   To hear more of this teaching click here.

We are walking in today:  The Doubting Tongue--Get Out Of Your Doubt Addiction!

Witness doubt throughout the Bible--to feel uncertain about, to fear to be afraid of
John 13:22; Acts 10:20, 11:12; 1 Timothy 2:8;  James 1:6

In this teaching, in the past 27 days of the various tongues, we find that even the most careful of us have used many of them even some at the same time!  Yahweh comes to teach us His good and right way.  He is a King and sets the rules of His kingdom!  Everything is not fit to be spoken out loud, pondered upon or even considered for more than a moment!  We do have natural doubt that has not yet been proven or awaiting more information before making a decision.  This can be easily seen in a large purchase where you haven't begun your research, before this large item purchase.  Not wanting to be swayed by advertisements that you are dubious to believe, with the slick camera tricks that are employed.  That type of doubt does not lead to other damaging behavior.  There is doubt that does lead to damaging behavior--it is this doubt that we will focus on today.  The doubt that leads to unbelief, bitterness, anger, fear, worry, low self-esteem.  When doubt goes unchecked it brings along friends for the ride and then you will be in a serious situation!  The largest issue with doubt it that is shows how much we do not trust in He alone who is good and holy.  This behavior shows that we are unsure He can deliver on His word.  Yet you know that you can not deliver on them either!  Thus bitterness and anger can set in.  When allowed to fester can infect many around you and make it harder to be sprung from the trap of enemy to bind and reduce your effectiveness in the kingdom of Yahweh.
We have to uproot, remove and destroy doubt.  Rehearse His word that you find in scripture--for He delivers upon all of His word--guaranteed!  Know that He fails not and is worthy to be trusted.  This is a wrangling of our minds to get back on track.  Reading scripture out loud to yourself and redirecting us to that which is true.  Leave all of those lies on the ground--they have no effect unless you pick them up and think upon them over and over.  Once you uproot doubt and it's cronies--sow seeds of peace, trust, reverence of Yahweh,  joy, belief and confidence.  We must be aware of those around us.  If we are struggling in this area--look for those who are peaceful and full of confidence in Yahweh.  So we have to watch what we say and what those around us are saying!  For those around us that are not taming their tongues--do not accept those words that they may be trying to sow into your life.  Correct the words with your response.  If these dysfunctional words persist, discontinue the conversation or location.  This is an awesome teaching this morning, click here for more details to get free from the deceit of doubt.  https://www.freeconferencecallhd.com/playback.html?n=RvxYy/jhl9o

The Fourth Commandment Exodus 20:8-11 Remember the Sabbath day, to sanctify it .  Six days you shall work and accomplish all your work; the seventh day is Sabbath to the Lord, your God; you shall not do any work--you, your son, your daughter, your slave, your maidservant, your animal, and your convert within your gates--for in six day the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and He rested the seventh day.  Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and sanctified it.

364. You shall offer the prescribed Elevation-Offering on your New Moons --Numbers 28:11 And in the beginnings of your months ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the Lord; two young bullocks, and one ram, seven lambs of the first year without spot;
365. You shall offer the prescribed Elevation-Offering on Shavuot --Numbers 28:26-27 26 Also in the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new meat offering unto the Lord, after your weeks be out, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: 27 But ye shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the Lord; two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of the first year
366. You shall offer the prescribed Elevation-Offering on Yom Teruah --Numbers 29:1-2 1 And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you. 2 And ye shall offer a burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the Lord; one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year without blemish:
367. You shall sound and hear the shofar on Yom Teruah --Numbers 29:1 And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.
368. You shall offer the prescribed Elevation-Offering on Yom Kippur --Numbers 29:7-8 7 And ye shall have on the tenth day of this seventh month an holy convocation; and ye shall afflict your souls: ye shall not do any work therein:8 But ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the Lord for a sweet savour; one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year; they shall be unto you without blemish:

369. You shall offer the prescribed Elevation-Offerings on each day of Sukkot --Numbers 29:13 And ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord; thirteen young bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year; they shall be without blemish:

370. You shall offer the prescribed Elevation-Offering on the eighth day of Sukkot --Numbers 29:36 But ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord: one bullock, one ram, seven lambs of the first year without blemish:

371. You shall not demand payment debts remitted in the 7th year --Deuteronomy 15:2 And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the Lord's release.

372. You shall remit the debts of your brother in the 7th year --Deuteronomy 15:3 Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it again: but that which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release;

The teaching for day 28 is the discouraging tongue--yet we find that most people's comments are likened to just that--discouragement.  Yahweh comes this morning to tell us to be encouraged!  That our words would lift up others and that we too would encourage ourselves as even David did in the Bible.  Remember all the good, great and awesome things that you have witnessed at the hands of Adonai.  Recall the seemingly terrible things that  you 'thought' would happen and were turned for your good.  Rely in He who set all things into motion and know that He is in control of all things.  No longer esteem the words of the doubters and poor comforters over the words that fail not!  We have to give more weight to the word of Yahweh, than the words of family or friends.  What did the Almighty God say about it?  That is the only word that counts and the only word with the authority to deliver on every part of it's decree!  Fiveamprayer, don't allow your eyes to overcome all that you know to be true.  He is our keeper and the lover of our souls!  All that He has spoken will be delivered unto us, in His timing.

This discouraging tongue is very dangerous.  We see in the book of  Numbers 13 and 14 where the 12 spies go to look at the land to return a good report.  Of the 12 only 2 brought back the good report.  The determintion of the children of Israel, to remain in the wilderness for 40 years was due to the bad report of 10.  The entire congregation was to remain in the wilderness one year for each of the days the spies spent in the promised land gathering information for a good report.   Those who gave the bad report were not included in the 40 year wanderings--no they lost their lives.  We have to be aware of what words we are sowing into others lives!  Fiveamprayer take a look look at your conversation before speaking and find if you will be an encouragement to the listener?  Would your words bring peace to the situation?   Can the listener obtain a benefit from what you are sharing?  Do your words align with what Yahweh has already spoken?  To hear more on this click here.
