History Of Fiveamprayer

The concept of Fiveamprayer began as just two friends, Renee Campbell and Jeanette Lewis discussing Pastor Anitha Jones' book " Beyond Your Breakdown to Your Breakthrough" in the garage.  The comment was made about real women of God having a round table discussion of issues we face that only another Godly women could relate to.  We were going to call it, "Will the Real Women of God Please Stand Up".

In December 2008, God spoke to Jeanette that the two of us were going on a fast.  But before I could ask how long we would be fasting for, the answer came immediately!  "Don't ask me how long, God just said do it".  We didn't know it at the time but God was setting us up to do His work.  Sometimes you can't question what God is telling you to do, you just have to do it.  We knew one thing was for certain and that was that we were going to obey and trust God!

In January 2009, the houses of For His Glory Christian Fellowship and Now Faith Christian Center Church were each starting the new year in fasting and prayer.  As God so eloquently planned it, the fasting for both assemblies culminated on the very same day, thus culminating the fast that we had begun in December.  And God spoke to Jeanette again saying that we would start praying together daily at five am!  Now this had to be a faith-walk because this was something completely new for both of us. In my mind I was thinking "now who's gonna get up that early to pray?"  But how many of you know that obedience is greater than sacrifice!  It was important for us to be obedient and to seek God early in the morning for strength, guidance, and direction for our day.  So on Monday, February 2, 2009, Fiveamprayer, Divine Destiny Connection was born!

It wasn't long at all before we were joined by a longtime friend of Jeanette's, Sister Yalonda Moore, from TX, and Evangelist Lisa Curry from TX, and Sister Mary McCarter, Jeanette's mother in MS, and before we knew it, God had begun to link us up to people from California to North Carolina to Delaware to Florida and other states all to get up and pray and to seek God first at five a.m.  Five a.m. was the established time here in CO, which meant there were some true dedicated prayer warriors in CA getting up at 4:00 a.m. just to pray and to seek God.

But Fiveamprayer wasn't just about prayer!  Early on in the ministry, God spoke to Jeanette and instructed her to incorporate His Word with our prayer.  Each day, Jeanette began seeking God in what to say to His people through scripture.  And with each day, God had us walking in His Word!  Does the phrase "are you ready for the Word of God" sound familiar to anyone?

But God kept on feeding us and He dropped this in her spirit, Fiveamprayer Divine Destiny Connection will have a Prayer Conference.  It was time for the saints of Fiveamprayer to come fellowship together in one place and in unison declare war on the enemy!  God had placed in our midst two technical directors, Sister Zenobia Mayfield, who began placing the daily printed word on our very own blogspot where the daily word was posted for all people to see!  There is also Brother Stephan Brown, who is our sound technician who gets the prayer recorded and is available to hear at any time.  There is also Sister Sonya Bailey, our Facebook administrator, adds comments to the page daily.

In the past 2 1/2 years, we've heard testimonies of how God has done miracles for His people, prayers have been answered, testimonies of deliverance and breakthrough!  And how day after day we seek Him early!  I've known Jeanette to pray in her car, up at her daughter's school, in the mall, at home, so she, like our God, is not limited or restricted to one place.  God has taken Fiveamprayer from just two empty vessels willing to do His work to this day, this time, this season!  And in all things, we have learned to give God the praise, the honor, and the glory!  No matter what it looked like, no matter how hard it seemed, no matter how pressed we were, no matter how heavy the load, God has always been right there for us!  He's the lifter of our heads, our burden bearer, our heavy load sharer, the lover of our souls, our keeper, our redeemer, our provider, our healer, our all-in-all, our everything!  So I'm glad that God called us into obedience!  And I'm so thankful that we are doing the work of the Lord on Fiveamprayer!  We pray that we keep reaching others worldwide.  So we thank our Heavenly Father for giving Jeanette the vision, and to see the vision being manifested today and for years to come.  It's about God, it's about saving souls, it's about doing kingdom business!  May God continue to bless us and keep seeking Him on Fiveamprayer, Divine Destiny Connection, the chain that links us together!
