What’s your one thing ?

We are walking in today:  What’s your one thing ?

So I’m in the doctor office going for a routine check up and the Holy spirit say look to your right , so I look and the poster reads What’s your one thing? Right , but their one thing was how can we make this visit more pleasant, offer you a cup of water , better answering your question etc..
So I search this out in the natural for awhile right? And then he gives me the spiritual aspect of the one thing.

What’s your significant Thing? Remember David’s desire ? Let’s start there

Psalm 27:4
One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

WHAT IS YOUR ONE THING?

It's an incredible statement, It's made even more powerful when you realize that it's written by a man who's under attack.

FiveAmPrayer, His "one thing" isn't safety, or vindication, or victory. His "one thing" isn't power, control, or retribution. No, even under personal duress, the "one thing" that David wishes for is to be in God's house taking in the grandeur and glory of the beauty of the Lord.

This desire was designed to be the central motivating desire of every person created by God and made in his image. And yet, this side of the Garden, it seems a statement that could only ever be made by a deeply devout human being.

You need to figure out your one thing and stick to it. Of course the secret is both to have “one thing” and also know how to determine what it should be. It does beg the question, "What's your one thing?" What's the "one thing" that your heart craves? What's the "one thing" that you think would change your life?

What's the "one thing" that you look to for satisfaction, contentment, or peace? What's the "one thing" that you mourn that you've had to live without? What's the "one thing" that fills your day-dreams and commands your sleepy meditations?

The spiritual reality for many of us is that that "one thing" is not the Lord. And the danger in that reality is this; your "one thing" will control your heart and whatever controls your heart will exercise inescapable influence over your words, choices, and actions. Your "one thing" will become the one thing that shapes and directs your responses to the situations and relationships of your daily life. If the Lord isn't your "one thing," the thing that is your "one thing" will be your functional lord.

Here's what you say to yourself when something is your "one thing," "Life only has meaning and I only have worth if I have___________ in my life." The problem is that the "one thing" catalog is virtually endless:

1. Power: Life only has meaning/I only have worth, if I have power and influence over others.

2. Approval: If I'm loved and respected by________.

3. Comfort: If I have this kind of pleasure/experience.

4. Image: If I have a certain look or body image.

5. Control: If I'm able to have mastery over this area of my life.

6. Helping: If people are dependent on me and need me.

7. Dependence: If someone is there to keep me safe.

8. Independence: If I'm completely free of the obligation or responsibility to take care of someone.

9. Work: If I'm highly productive and get a lot done.

10. Achievement: If I'm recognized for my accomplishments.

11. Materialism: If I've a certain level of wealth, finance, nice possessions.

12. Religion: If I'm adhering to my religion's codes and accomplished in it's activities.

13. Individual person: If this one person is in my life and happy there and/or happy with me.

14. Irreligious: If I am totally independent of organized religion and have a self- made morality.

15. Racial/cultural: If my race and culture are ascendant and recognized as superior.

16. Inner ring: If a particular social or professional group lets me in.

17. Family: If my children/parents are happy/happy with me.

18. Suffering: If I'm hurting or in a problem, only then do I feel noble, worthy of love or free of guilt.

You see, FiveAmPrayer, in every situation and relationship of your everyday life, there's a "one thing" war being fought on the turf of your heart. You and I are only safe when the Lord really is the "one thing" that commands our hearts and controls our actions. Yet there are many things that compete with him to be the "one thing" that's the one thing that your heart craves.

What's your one thing?

We can take this wisdom and boil it down to a single principle. Put simply, the most important things are to know what to focus on and how you are going to get it done.  The key to your productivity all comes down to understanding what is most important to you—and what activity will provide the greatest leverage to getting there—right now.

Principles of Unleavened Bread:

Instantaneous obedience
When you know what your one thing is, you should try to schedule time for it as early in your day as possible, time block. If you looked at my calendar, you’d see regular appointments with myself to do my most important work. That’s when I avoid distractions at all costs. Think of it like going to movies. You’re there for ONE Thing—to see the film. Because you’re really clear about that, you turn off your cell phone, you grab snacks in case you get hungry, and you probably even make a pit stop before you go in. All this so you can have an uninterrupted experience.

Based on goals in any area of your life, ask yourself, “What’s the ONE Thing I could do, such that by doing it everything else would be easier or unnecessary?” Then time block to make it happen. It doesn’t have to be any more complicated than that.

What Matters the most to You?’
When you know what you should be working on, you are happier. When you know what your focus should be, it energizes you.

The amazing thing is when people ask themselves the question, they are almost always accurate. People instinctively know what matters most. If you’re not sure, look to the people who came before you. Chances are someone has already accomplished what you’re trying to achieve and they’ve shared how they did it (in a book, an article or a blog post). Start with their answers and go from there.

Success does not mean perfection, as we know it. Success is sequential, not simultaneous. It’s one step at a time. ONE Thing at a time. It’s not your one and only thing. It’s the ONE Thing right now.
Again, it’s the focusing question. You simply ask yourself in any given area of your life, “What’s the one thing I can do, such that by doing it everything else is easier or unnecessary?” That’s it.

What you’re trying to do is set up a domino run in your life. You want to line things up with the end in mind.

Define where you’re going and determine what your next step is to get there. Your ONE Thing is always tied to your destination. At any given moment it is your most levered action – your first domino – that starts it all and gets you the most bang for your buck. We can’t do everything, but we can do ONE Thing that matters most at any given moment in time.

Over time, a pattern can emerge around your career, skills and passion. For me, my ONE Thing always comes back to teaching in one form or another. That’s my ONE Thing.

Make yourself indispensable. It’s just one piece of advice. Find your ONE Thing, connect it and become irreplaceable. The person who attempt to be good at everything but master nothing are ultimately replaceable.

When you identify a need, make it your ONE Thing, and doggedly stick to it, you’ll ultimately achieve the most. And by the way, you’ll be irreplaceable because you’ve mastered just ONE Thing.

Choosing my ONE thing — my area of focus for the current season.
What is your area of focus for your current season? Or have you not heard the Lord speak to you
choosing the ONE Thing is,”about figuring out what matters most, and when you’re doing that ONE Thing, eliminate distraction.” The concept isn’t about ONLY one thing being important. It’s about ONE thing at a time.

My current one thing choosing a theme for my current season in life based on what the most urgent need is at the time. You allowed the most High to choose your theme for your current season or do you not know? Is your theme being a good listener, remove specific roots from your life , being disciplined in a certain area , being quiet what your Theme for thud season in you life?

Does that mean that I only get one thing done or that I have only one priority?

No.

It means that I’m choosing to eliminate every non-essential task and distraction so that I can focus all of my energy and attention completely on my TOP priority of the moment.

️And right now my ONE thing is establishing some order SEDER in my life. Torah the accurate arrangement of things

The truth shall set you free , in other words some reality shall set you free.

For this week, everything else is taking a backseat to this priority order/SEDER because the disorganization and clutter is draining me emotionally and mentally.

I’m to help us out with the Most High’s Theme for your season this week it’s easy order/SEDER because most of us are disorganized and , clutter is draining us emotionally and spiritually.

You might as well be transparent for this week and the next because the most High is going to reveal it anyway. Maybe you would like to eliminate some OVERWHELM in your life in this season , in this month or this week, find your one thing for this week and the next.

Maybe you’d like to eliminate some overwhelm in your own life by choosing your ONE thing in this season, or this month, or this week.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR ONE THING

Take these simple steps to determine your focus that The Most High has for you this season.

Schedule Some Quiet

Find a few minutes when you can go to a quiet spot in your home or out to a coffee shop or on a walk. Getting out of your normal everyday routine will give you a little bit of perspective and will eliminate the distractions.

Evaluate Where You Are Now

While you’re in your quiet place, think about your current life season and evaluate how things are going. List the different areas of your life and make a note describing the highs and lows of each.

What’s this--Habbukuk 2:1

Before I start with this scripture let me briefly inform you of Hanukkah chapter 1, did you know that Habbukuk had 2 complaints in I chapter 1

Habakkuk 1:1-4 New International Version (NIV)

1 The prophecy that Habakkuk the prophet received.
Habakkuk’s Complaint
2 How long, Lord, must I call for help, but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, “Violence!”
but you do not save? 3  Why do you make me look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrongdoing?
Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and conflict abounds. 4 Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails. The wicked hem in the righteous, so that justice is perverted.

Habakkuk’s Second Complaint

Habbukuk 1:12-17
12  Lord, are you not from everlasting? My God, my Holy One, you will never die. You, Lord, have appointed them to execute judgment; you, my Rock, have ordained them to punish. 13  Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrongdoing. Why then do you tolerate the treacherous?
Why are you silent while the wicked swallow up those more righteous than themselves? 14 You have made people like the fish in the sea, like the sea creatures that have no ruler. 15 The wicked foe pulls all of them up with hooks, he catches them in his net, he gathers them up in his dragnet; and so he rejoices and is glad. 16 Therefore he sacrifices to his net and burns incense to his dragnet, for by his net he lives in luxury and enjoys the choicest food. 17 Is he to keep on emptying his net,
destroying nations without mercy?

Habbukuk 2:1

New International Version
I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint. ️In this translation the complainer is waiting on what answer he is to give to himself from the Lord for this complaint

English Standard Version
I will take my stand at my watch post and station myself on the tower, and look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint ️In this translation He is allowing us to answer our own complaint. What season are you in?? In your complaining season?

New Living Translation
l climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the LORD says and how he will answer my complaint.

Seek what positioning he has you in , in your season of finding your one thing he has charged you

New American Standard Bible
I will stand on my guard post And station myself on the rampart; And I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me, And how I may reply when I am reproved.

King James Bible
I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.

Once you’ve completed the assessment you should be able to clearly see the area that currently needs the most attention.

Habakkuk’s Prayer in chapter 3 after the Most High gave Habbukuk his answer

And obviously allowed him to sneer his own complaint (guess what the Answer was Prayer

3 A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet. On shigionoth.
So Habbukuk gave his one complaint in chapter 1 and the the Most High God answer right and then Habbukuk had a second complaint in chapter 1.

So in chapter 2 this is where he stood on his post to receive an answer
And God answered him/ she replied to Habbukuk And after the reply chapter 3 Habbukuk prayed

Ask Questions

In order to determine your focus you can also ask yourself two simple questions:
What’s really bugging you the most right now? What needs attention?
What’s one task can you do or change , can you make that would make everything else in your life easier? Pray ? And if was Prayer what would it sound like ? What would be your topic of conversation?

The answers to these questions will most likely show you where your focus needs to be.

Pray

Because I’m a spiritual person, I always want to invite God into my decision making process. I pray while I’m reflecting on my current situation and ask God to reveal His best plan for me.

Habbukuk 2:4

See, FiveAmPrayer  The Most High God says , the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright—
but the righteous person , the Right Standing person , he will live by his faithfulness—

Make a Plan

Once you know your ONE Thing for this season (or week or month), write it down Habbukuk 2:2-3 and create a concrete plan for how you will make this one thing your focus in your everyday life. Block out time in your schedule, create new habits, find an accountability partner.

Set Reminders

To help you remember your focus, keep it where you can see it. Place sticky notes on the fridge or bathroom mirror, write your ONE Thing on the weekly plan in your planner and set it as the lock screen on your phone. We know we are in a technology age and the most High knows it as well

What about procrastination and time-stewardship and self-management and all the stuff that's really hard about being an adult.

And this part of the closing in particular, is about the real problem and most of us is with procrastination - which is not that it makes you late for appointments or has you rushing around.

That's the little stuff. No, the real problem with procrastination is that it can—if we let it—keep us from doing the "One Thing."

Most of us have one. That "One Thing" that we need to do. That "One Thing" which, if we did it, would create the most meaningful shift in our lives right now. That obedience right now, understanding this Freedom Right Now !!!

There are very good reasons why we have not, at this point, done the "One Thing" yet:
limitations with time or money, difficulty believing that we can—really—do this "One Thing"

Is SEDER about ORDER? Is PASSING OVER about what the Most High is doing in our lives and why he’s doing it ? Acquiring Freedom Completely removing , stripping , draining bad roots out of lives , reminding us that we are not in Egypt any more

The "One Thing"

Your "One Thing" might be a decision, a phone call, a commitment, or a tough conversation. It might take a minute, or it might take 6 months. But once you've done it, just imagine!

This is the decision or behavior which each of us knows would most improve our life right now. More than a hundred other decisions or behaviors, the "One Thing" will make the absolute most high-leverage, killer-impact difference.

Obstacles

What are the biggest obstacles to taking care of your "One Thing" today? Specifically, what's gotten in the way up 'til now? And who? Who discourages you from tackling your "One Thing" right now? How exactly do they do that?

Resources
And who are your biggest resources here? Who's already made this decision or created this change in their own life, and could give you tips or a template for doing your "One Thing"? Who could give you a hand, or help you sketch this out on the back of a napkin, or give you a pep talk and then check in with you later about this?

Strengths
How do you know—for sure—that you can do this? What's the hardest thing you've ever done—the toughest decision or choice, the biggest achievement? What's something that comes easy to you now that at one point seemed like an impossible task? (Think: getting a round about date, in your head of when it happened?

And how did that go from impossible to easy? What were the steps along that particular (you have dozens of examples of this) impossible-to-easy transformation? What resources do you still have, untapped, which will help you with your difficult but important "One Thing"? What natural talents and gifts and advantages are yours?

That The Most High Hod has given you ?

First Steps

Finally - if you were going to take care of your "One Thing" today, what would be the very first step you would take? Can you see yourself doing that, almost like you're watching a movie with someone else taking that step? And in that movie, how would you breathe, how would you walk, what would you be thinking?

Choosing your ONE Thing for the current week or month will simplify your decision making process and help you to eliminate the overwhelm that comes from having too many options.

Where are you looking for meaning and worth? What's the "beauty that you wish you had in your life? What's your "one thing?"

Don’t let this get by you—everything you're here to experience and learn—and to share with the rest of us—depends upon bravely knocking this one out.

And then the next "One Thing." And the one after that.

The Most High God’s blessing  is on you!!  See the live teaching on youtube

Discovering Yourself Through Passover

Leviticus 23

We are walking in today:  Discovering Yourself Through Passover
Witness the thing leavened  throughout scripture:  H2557 chametz--the thing leavened,
leaven

Exodus 12:15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread H2557 from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

The Torah .....................
Exodus 13:7 Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread H2557 be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy quarters.

The prophets proclaim..................

The writings bear witness.............

1 Corinthians 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Looking back Fiveamprayer, He brought us out, caused us to cross over on Passover!!!

According to the Hebrew lexicon, the term unleavened bread is derived from the word matzoh, which means "bread or cake without leaven." The lexicon also states that matzoh is in turn derived from a word which means "to drain out or suck."

Principles of Unleavened Bread:

Instantaneous obedience
We go through life constantly discovering more about the nature of it. We start seeing things from different perspectives than before, learn, unlearn, and learn again. We discover more about the things we like, sometimes even discover something we were not looking for at the first place.

You must discover yourself, find out how to learn more about yourself, and embrace the process, as well as enhance your understandings.

Discover more about who you are, your goals, your talents, your strengths and weaknesses,

You’ll be remembered for something – it’s up to you to decide what that is.

Discover the realistic understanding of your ability.

Get a fresh view from another standing or point and face the reality. There are countless number of people that seem to shoot too high or think they deserve more, spending most of their life wondering why they never get the opportunities they deserved.

Passover is a celebration of freedom and deliverance!
What most people accept as normal is something that actually is a place of bondage and lack of freedom.  Understanding why you feel the way you do about situations (this is knowing how you tick). As you view the Seder, (Order) arrangement--we are reclining in celebration of freedom.

The Seder is a ritual performed by a community or by multiple generations of a family, involving a retelling of the story of the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt. This story is in the Book of Exodus (Shemot) in The Hebrew Bible. The Seder itself is based on the Biblical verse commanding the Hebrews to retell the story of the Exodus from Egypt: "You shall tell your child on that day, saying, 'It is because of what the LORD did for me when I came out of Egypt.'" (Exodus 13:8)

What do you notice about this Old Testament practice and its fulfillment in the New Testament?

Luke's Gospel tells us what Yeshua actually thought about Passover. He did not observe it legalistically, as if he was under compulsion. He said to his disciples "With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer: for I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God".  Luke 22:15-16

Do you sense the immensity of our Father who could direct such specific fulfillment through the sending of His Son, Yeshua?

What strikes you about the roots of your faith in Yeshua in the Hebraic nation and history? Take a moment to reflect and to thank the Most High God for your inclusion in His plan.

Being Hebraic is to love all the teaching of God: to study the entire Bible, founded upon the five books of Moses (the Torah) and to seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit to shed light on it applications in all aspects of life – and to help others to do the same. This is Word and Spirit in balance.

Barukh ata Adonai, Eloheinu Melech haolam Hamotzi lechem min haaretz
English translation: Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who brings
forth bread from the earth.

We are led by the Spirit of God by abiding in the inner witness, intuition, that comes from the Holy Spirit.

When your heart is right, the Most High will train you how to tell the difference between what’s of Him and what is not.

We have to become so dependent on the Spirit of the Lord that we move when He moves-and stops when He stops.

The Most High desires to communicate with His children--emphasized the tongue of fire the Most High gave, and the way He uses dreams in people’s lives, not to mention the quickening of His Word in our hearts and minds as we immerse ourselves in it. The question is, are we listening and have we trained our senses to discern the voice of His Spirit?

Evaluate where you are on the subject of hearing the Most High and write down some specific things you can do to further train yourself in this area. Are there some things you sense the Most High is saying to you about areas of your life?

Shema Israel (Shema Yisrael, Adonai eloheinu, Adonai echad)  Hear, O Israel: the LORD our God, the LORD is one"
Deut. 6:4-9
Peace is the foundation of authority.

Shema Selah we are to look to ourselves to keep from getting puffed up or our out or order with His purpose and plan!  part 1

Removal Of Chametz/Leaven, Time To Leave Egypt!

We are walking in the today:  Removal Of Chametz/Leaven, Time To Leave Egypt!

Witness leaven throughout the Bible:  H7603 se'or--leaven,  swelling by fermentation

Exodus 12:15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven H7603 out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that
soul shall be cut off from Israel.

The Torah ............
Exodus 12:19 Seven days shall there be no leaven H7603 found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.

The prophets  ............

The writings  .............

Exodus 13:7 Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven H7603 seen with thee in all thy quarters.

The removal of chametz commemorates the fact that the Hebrews left Egypt in a hurry and did not have time to let their bread rise. It is also a symbolic way of removing the “puffiness” (arrogance, pride) from our souls.

The Most High God is trying to teach us a very valuable spiritual lesson in this commandment, as each year we search out to remove every spec of leavening from our household. 1 Corinthians 5:6-8 lets us know that "a little leaven (sin) leavens the whole lump", and therefore we should keep the Passover (please note, Rav Shaul tells us to "keep the Feast") "not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

By commanding us to search out the leaven, The Most High God wants to teach us about searching out and purging sin from our lives. Is not sin an outside agent that is introduced in order to ferment/sour that which is pure?! In earlier generations, they did not have anywhere as many food products as we have today, neither did they have sin coming into their lives in so many different "shiny packages". Search though your cabinets and refrigerator, look at all the labels, and get the hametz out (it's in products you wouldn't even think about!).

But if you stop there, you miss the whole point. When you are finished keeping this commandment in the physical, move it up to the spiritual. Search your heart, check it completely, in order to find and remove all the sin from your life.
When you do so, and you recognize all that sin that "snuck in" (or, let's face it, was brought in!) since the last cleaning, teshuva (turn from) of it and ask for forgiveness from The Most High in the name of Y'shua our Messiah.

What is your sphere of influence ?

The Most High God is trying to teach us a very valuable spiritual lesson in this commandment, as each year we search out to remove every spec of leavening from our household. 1 Corinthians 5:6-8 lets us know that "a little leaven (sin) leavens the whole lump", and therefore we should keep the Passover (please note, Rav Shaul tells us to "keep the Feast") "not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

The most influential people in the world can seem like they have some gift the rest of us don’t. But the truth is ,they’re humans. They’re just humans who have learned to use specific skills in effective ways.

Sphere Of Influence
When you were knit in your mother’s womb, God gave you a SPHERE of influence. Sphere meaning: An extent to which your knowledge, social position, insights, dominion, arena and power would GROW THE MOST.

We are 100% in control of what we do with our sphere of influence.
Now the “Boot Camp” starts and trust me, your sphere and your promises from God comes with TERRITORY you are supposed to invade to help change the world. To help others be stronger, to impart into others great encouragement and power. THIS is why the enemy fights you.
Remember to draw from what GOD has already given you. Don’t perform. Don’t overcompensate. Don’t agree with all the labels, voices and messages of your past. AGREE with God that your sphere of influence comes with power, grace, ability and insight.

Understand influence. Influence is a form of leadership in which you can become a channel God uses to help bring powerful and lasting change for the better to people who need it. When you spiritually influence people, you help meet their needs for faith, hope, and love, by showing them that they can have faith in God, hope for the future, and rely on God’s love for them.

How much difference does your life make? The answer depends on your sphere of influence.

As Watchmen and Servants of the Most High God are we POSITIONING ourselves on the WALLS of our territories, our SPHERES OF INFLUENCE!
We are each LOOKING to see what God will say through us and what we will ANSWER when reproved by the Lord.

Our ATTITUDE OF THE HEART must be in ALIGNMENT with the WILL of the Father.
His will must become our will.
There is no room for self in these days.
There is no room for a desire to be seen in this World.
ALL GLORY MUST GO to the Lord God Almighty and His Son Christ Jesus/ Messiah Yeshua.

It is the Lord who RAISES UP HIS CHOSEN LEADERS and it is He who bring down those who are self-serving.
FiveamPrayer, Keep your HEARTS HUMBLE before Him that you will be in agreement and in step with those He appoints.

Through you HE WILL MANIFEST HIS HOLINESS in the sight of the Nations!

Habakkuk 2:1-3.

Each of us has a sphere of influence. That is the amount of people and other living things we have an impact on.

As a race we humans tend to hold onto and keep perpetuating old realities. It’s part of the addictive, “Groundhogs Day” way our minds operate, disappearing and re-creating.

Therefore much of the human race is continually re-creating old, polarized, fear-based realities because our brains are literally addicted to them!

Family Know that you are already a being of light and divine love.

Be courageously determined to claim the truth of the sovereignty our true God ,
The Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob

Build integrity. You need to earn people’s trust in order to effectively influence them, and the way to do so is to model a lifestyle of integrity for them. Ask the Holy Spirit to renew your mind every day so you have right motives for what you say and do, and to help you become a person who is more honest, humble, and self-controlled. Seek to bring coherence between your public and private life and between every aspect of your personality so that you behave with integrity in every situation.

Every believer has a spiritual territory (or 'metron') entrusted to us, a sphere of influence which is ours to govern - some permanent, some temporary. Adam (in Gen. 2:15) was instructed to 'tend', cultivate, develop his territory and to 'keep' or protect it from the enemy.

We know the valuable keys to on how to govern, what to govern, and the consequences of failure to govern.

Most people live under what's around them.
Most people live under their spiritual prevailing environment, . Whatever environment, you're in you'll feel that, and so what happens is, until we learn how to stand up and alter the spiritual atmosphere around us, we don't even realize what we've accepted as normal.

So I can tell you now, most people accept as normal something that actually is a place of bondage and lack of freedom.

Shema Selah, we must seek out and search for those things that do not of the Most High, we are His image and likeness and should reflect Him in all of our ways!! https://www.facebook.com/fiveam.prayer/videos/1603448286399948/?l=4698075649718670476

This eagle looked at me and I shot him with my camera. Isn’t that a beautiful shot? The first thing you think about an eagle is vision because vision is what makes the eagle the king of birds. An eagle has the capacity to see from 5 miles up in the sky in detail. That’s what makes him the most powerful bird, his eyesight. The power of vision and when you think of vision one of the most important things as we deal with this subject is that vision is the key to your life having meaning. So, we are going to talk about understanding the nature and the necessity for personal and conquered vision. This ministry is a result of vision. It is a result of one person’s vision. In order for this ministry to be a leading ministry there must be a clear image of vision that breaks the barrier of limited thinking. Vision itself has the nature of destroying barriers. As a matter of fact, vision itself demands the destruction of barriers. because vision is the capacity to see beyond the barriers. The 21st century is a century that demands visionary leadership. Not only in the church but in government, civic, educational institutions and also in the home because if you have a home headed by a leader, a father or a mother if you’re a single parent who don’t have a vision for that family, that family will be bogged down in depression. Proverbs 4:7 says a simple statement. It says Wisdom is supreme; therefore, get wisdom and if it costs you all you have, get understanding. There are 3 words that are normally linked together and that is Wisdom, knowledge and understanding. But most people don’t understand what they are and how they work. So, let me give you a quick understanding of the 3 concepts that made Solomon such and impact and influential leader. He understood the difference between the three.

First of all, knowledge is information. Write that down. Understanding is comprehension. But wisdom is application. That’s why wisdom is supreme. Because you can know something but not understand it and you can understand something and not apply it. So, nothing is complete until it becomes wisdom. Wisdom is knowledge understood applied. That is why wisdom is more important than knowledge. Because a smoking doctor is a sign of someone who has knowledge but no wisdom. You can have knowledge and kill yourself, destroy yourself because you’re not applying it. This ministry has been teaching great studies for years and some of you have not changed because you never took the revelation to wisdom. You get information every day, you get a great teaching, you say amen, you say that was a great teaching but it doesn’t affect your life, your family, it doesn’t affect your business, your ideas, your children because you never made it wisdom. Notice the bible says Christ is the wisdom of God. He is God applied. See God can say I love you but then you still live in the realm of death. So, he applied it. For God so loved the world that he gave his only son. He applied, it became wisdom so Christ is known to us as the wisdom of God. So, it’s important to get the teaching this week take it home, listen to it 7 times, read the books, why? Because you want that information to become wisdom. This has to become wisdom to you otherwise it won’t happen in your life. That’s why I read so many books a month. I read 4 books a month. I have to and I’ve constantly got to listen to tapes and CD’s as a pastor because I have to keep being what I am teaching. It is very important. So, knowledge is the key to success when you get knowledge applied. Say do you know the audience determines the teacher-- isn't that amazing?? Very interesting, in other words the teacher has a lot of information it's the student that determines what they teach!! Let me say it again Yeshua said I have much to say to you now so your level of hunger determines the level of food that you are fed. that means I've got to come back praise God

Let's talk about this power of visionary leadership for this ministry and for you individually. The nature and principles of vision in leadership. How vision works. Eagles are the most amazing birds Eagles never flock. Only pigeons flock and that is why Eagles are leaders--leaders do not keep a lot of company and no bird flies higher than an eagle do you know why because the eagle has the capacity to set its bones in its wings and it rides the current in the sky and the Eagle flies into hurricanes. They fly into storms. Why? They use storms to push them higher. That’s why they are eagles. That’s why they are kings of the birds. True leaders are not afraid of problems. They use them to get higher. When an eagle is at his height in flight it never meets another bird, except it’s an eagle. Because only eagles can fly at that altitude. Therefore, if you keep running into pigeons you are flying too low. You can tell where you are at in life by who you keep meeting. Gossiping people, murmuring people, complaining people always finding fault. You are in the wrong altitude. You can tell where you are flying by who you keep attracting. That is why Yeshua knew he was stuck with his family but he could choose his friends. So, he selected his friends based on his vision. He chose his associations based on his destination. God will allow you to meet certain people because he wants to bring you to a higher level. That is why I am here because there is a level that you want to go to that requires some other birds. If you are going to fly at a certain level, you have to meet people at that level so they can bring you up to that level and some of you God wants to do great things in your life but you won’t leave the pact. Show me your friends and I will show you, your future. Eagles don’t fly with other birds. Eagles don’t like to mix. When you are a leader you are not comfortable with people who don’t dream big. You are not comfortable with complainers, critics, slanderers. This is why the bible says that if you are going to be great, you cannot keep company with people who are not great. Solomon says if you keep company with people who are not great, you will not be great yourself. So, choose your friends based on your destination. A couple things about the eagle that makes him unique, this is important information for leadership development even in your personal life.

1. The greatest gift God ever gave man is not the gift of sight but the gift of vision. Why? Because sight is the function of the eyes but vision is the function of the heart. As a matter of fact, God never intended for you to live by your eyes. Your eyes are the enemy of your vision. Why? Because sight is limited to the capacity of the eyes. But vision is limited only to the boundary of your imagination. That is why the bible says you must walk by faith and not by sight. Sight is dangerous. I have come to teach you how to live with your eyes closed. Your problem son is your eyes because your eyes always shows you what is. But vision always shows you what could be. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and its evidence of things your eyes cannot see.

2. Sight restricts you to the present but vision releases you to the uncharted frontiers of the future. This ministry must be careful not to be so excited about its past. Because your past can become your victim and you become a victim of it. We become too attached to the good ol' days, we don’t create new ones.

3. Sight captures the present but vision captures the future. You were not born to live in the past and be stuck in the present. Because sight deals with what is but vision embraces what could be. That is why vision is so important. God always wants us to live according to the vision in our hearts not the sight in our eyes.

What is vision? Vision is the capacity to see farther than your eyes can look.

Vision is the greatest source of hope. You were born to see beyond your eyes. When you get around people with wisdom, I learned a long time ago to ask a lot of questions. You don’t talk a lot, you ask questions because questions are the greatest way to be educated. One thing you need to know is you need to grow where you are planted. The reason some people won’t grow spiritually is because they don’t stay long enough in any ministry. Some of you are moving around still. Testing ministries. That’s why God can’t grow you up. Grow where he plants you. Stay there and grow. Another lesson, look down and be depressed. Look around and be oppressed. Look up and be at rest.

Live according to your vision. Not according to your eyes. You must believe in the dark what he told you in the light. There are some things God showed you years ago and they have been smothered by the night of disappointment. God has sent me in your life today to tell you to still believe what I told you. See beyond your eyes. Leadership requires that you see beyond your eyes. as a ministry and as a individual.

1. Leadership is the impact of one’s pursuit of a vision more noble than self-preservation on others. You have to find something to do that is more important than your own life preservation. The reason why most people don’t make a difference in the world is because they are too busy trying to make a living. Self-preservation is what I call making a living. You work to earn a salary so you can take care of your life but Christ said if a man saves his life, he shall lose it, but if a man loses his life for the sake of kingdom assignment he shall gain life. That means they will never be able to forget you. You were born to live in such a way that you don’t need a tombstone. The reason why we need tombstones is because people live such mediocrity in their lives that if they were to die, we would never know that they were here.

2. Visionary leadership is the ability to cause others to see a vision of the future bigger than their private ambitions. This ministry will never succeed if it keeps competing with your private ambitions. Leadership is the capacity to make a vision everybody’s vision. That is why the average person does not make an impact on the world, because they are so consumed by their own private interests, they have no interest in the next generation. This ministry was not raised up just for you. It was raised up for your unborn great grandchildren. The new buildings aren’t for you, you may never be in them but you’ve got to build them. You need a vision bigger than your own private ambition. Do something important, not just something personal. Sometimes we live to pay off our mortgages instead of living to make a difference.

3. Visionary leadership motivates others to submit their energies and skills in a corporate commitment to achieving a noble vision. This ministry was raised up by God with a noble vision. How do you know whether a vision is from God or not from God? Any vision that only benefits you is not from God. Any vision that improves humanity, advances your community, and improves other people is from God. So, if your vision is to have a nice house and a nice car with a boat near the ocean, that’s not from God. Why? That’s personal ambition. Yeshua said I didn’t come to be served, but to serve and give my life as a ransom for many. Your vision should always improve the many.

4. Leadership is the power of influence through character impact. The word character is from a Hebrew word that means statue. It means fixed and predictable. Does a statue change? No. He still has the same face, stance, clothes etc. in the winter, spring, summer and fall. It doesn’t change. That is why a statue is called character. When you have character that means someone has beaten you into a shape. Somebody took a chisel his name is God and he beat you and beat you and you thought he was killing you but he was getting rid of things that will hide your perfect image. Can a sculptor sculpt an image if the image keeps moving? That is why God keeps beating you because you won’t stay still long enough for him to give you character. The pressure you are going through right now in your life, Don’t Move! Stand still and see the salvation of God. He is going to bring you through this and you are going to come out with more CHARACTER! How can you tell what a man is doing even when you don’t see him? Because he has character. Character is proven when people can predict what you would do in your absence. Leaders have been beaten. That is why you are on your way to leadership. What you are going through is God’s classroom to make you a great person. Running from tribulation is the hardest way to have character.

For you to have vision you must understand the source of vision.

The source of vision is inspiration.
The source of inspiration is passion
The source of passion is purpose
The source of purpose is divine impartation.
The source of divine impartation is the reason for creation (God’s motivation is the source for divine impartation)

Your life was not created for you to just go to a job and pay bills. There is something God wanted done that made you necessary. As a matter of fact, I have been convinced over the years the greatest tragedy in life is not death, but life without a purpose. It is more tragic to be alive and not know why, than to be dead and not know life. What a tragedy to wake up every morning, sit in the same car, get stuck in the same traffic, go to the same place that you hate, work with people you can’t stand, get paid far less than you’re worth, do things that don’t bring out your gifts, go back home to a place you call home, turn the TV on and watch sports, go to bed and get stuck in traffic the next morning again, going to the same place you don’t like, doing something you don’t want to do, getting paid far less than you’re worth, and make you go until you are 65 and then they make you go and rock in a rocking chair. What a tragedy. And you call that life. I call it waste. You were born to fulfill an assignment, you were born to contribute to the world before you die. You were born to bring a difference to your generation, you were born to deliver something to us and God divinely imparted that gift to you. You came to earth because there is something that is created for you to do, that’s waiting for you to do it. That is why you are not happy on your job, you’re not happy because you are doing something that you weren’t born to do.

Your vision will always disturb your sight. Purpose will always make your job uncomfortable. Inside of you is your purpose screaming and you are on a job and it’s making your job uncomfortable because what you were born to do it always comes against what you are doing unless what you are doing it. You are not a mistake. You are a divine deposit no planet earth. Not brought here just to pay a mortgage off. The source of divine impartation is the inspiration you get from purpose. The greatest tragedy in life is to live without purpose. Proverbs 19:21 NIV version says Many are the plans in a man’s heart but it is the lords purpose that will prevail over all of his plans. This verse is powerful. Let me tell you what it means from the Hebrew language. It means you have many ideas and plans for your own life, what you want to do, where you want to go, who you want to marry, what kind of career you want, what you want to invest in, where you want to live, what you want to build, even your ministry. You’ve got all these plans for your life he says but I’ve already got a purpose for your life. And then he says my purpose will prevail over all of your plans. This means 3 things.

1. Purpose is more important than plans.
2. Purpose is more powerful than plans.
3. Purpose precedes plans.

God says I don’t care what you plan, my purpose will prevail over all of your plans. That means you will never be happy, never be satisfied until you are doing what I purposed for your birth. Purpose therefore will make you uncomfortable until you find it. If purpose is more important than anything in your life to God then it’s more important for you to know purpose than to know plans. In other words, God is saying before you make plans for your life, consult me for your purpose. And make your plans according to the purpose I have for your life so that you don’t waste your time. Because see if you make plans that are not God’s purpose for your life you are wasting time, energy, resources, investment, ideas, investment of your character, you are wasting your life. It’s possible to be successfully wrong. Purpose is God’s number 1 desire. What is purpose? Purpose means original intent. Reason for creation, reason for existence, original idea. Purpose is the motivation that made a manufacturer make a product. The product exists for the purpose made by the manufacturer. God says before you were even born and conceived to make plans, I had already an idea for your life. You are not a mistake. God did not create you and decide, what am I going to do with this one? No. He had something already established then he produced you to get it for him. Purpose is the most important thing to God. Purpose means will. Original intent. Purpose is the established intent that caused production. Purpose proceeds production. The purpose comes first. Purpose motivates production.

Good Leadership is Indispensable!!!

Deuteronomy 16

We are walking in today:  Good Leadership is Indispensable!!!

Witness require throughout the Bible:  H1875 darash--to seek (with a demand),

Deuteronomy 18:19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require H1875 it of him.

The Torah...............
Genesis 42:22 And Reuben answered them, saying, Spake I not unto you, saying, Do not sin against the child; and ye would not hear? therefore, behold, also his blood is required. H1875

The prophets..................
Ezekiel 34:10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require H1875 my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.

The writings...........................
2 Chronicles 24:6 And the king called for Jehoiada the chief, and said unto him, Why hast thou not required H1875 of the Levites to bring in out of Judah and out of Jerusalem the collection, according to the commandment of Moses the servant of the LORD, and of the congregation of Israel, for the tabernacle of witness?

Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require H1875 of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Deuteronomy 16:18-20 18 “You are to appoint judges and officers for all your gates [in the cities] Adonai your God is giving you, tribe by tribe; and they are to judge the people with righteous judgment. 19 You are not to distort justice or show favoritism, and you are not to accept a bribe, for a gift blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of even the upright. 20 Justice, only justice, you must pursue; so that you will live and inherit the land Adonai your God is giving you.

Good leadership is indispensable
I believe that trapped inside you is an undiscovered leader of great value to your generation! Are leaders born, made, developed, created, cultivated, or products of circumstances? Is leadership reserved only for an elite few, a specific gender, people of a particular social stratum, or those of advanced intelligence? Is leadership the prerogative of a rare breed; is it a by-product of the superior DNA of a super-race? Or can anyone from anywhere at any time emerge as a leader?

History has produced a legacy of distinguished and outstanding leaders who have impacted the world and furthered the development of humanity. They were both men and women, rich and poor, learned and unlearned, trained and untrained.

They came from every race, color, language, and culture of the world. Many of them had no ambition to become great or renowned. In fact, most of the individuals who have greatly affected humanity have been simple people who were thrust into circumstances that demanded the hidden qualities of their characters, or they were driven by personal, passionate goals.

Leaders are ordinary people who accept or are placed under extraordinary circumstances that bring forth their latent potential, producing character that inspires the confidence and trust of others. Our world today is in desperate need of such individuals.

In the political, civic, economic, social, and spiritual realms, recent events indicate that previous generations have produced weak leaders who fade in the presence of true leadership and leave our present generation in this same leadership vacuum.

The disgrace and fall of renowned Christian leaders, the exposure of corruption and unethical activities among political and business leaders, and the covert conspiracies of governments betraying their own people serve as evidence that this lack of quality leadership is affecting almost every sphere of our lives. We urgently need competent leaders.

Great leaders do not desire to lead but to serve
There is leadership potential in every person. Despite this universal latent ability, very few individuals realize this power, and fewer still have responded effectively to the call. As a result, our nations, societies, and communities are suffering from an astounding leadership void.

The answer to all our problems is qualified, just, and righteous leaders. The biblical record reveals God’s demand for quality leaders during times of human crisis. His search for effective leadership is expressed in numerous statements, such as these:

Jeremiah 4:22 “It is because my people are foolish —
they do not know me; they are stupid children,
without understanding, wise when doing evil;
but they don’t know how to do good.”

1 Timothy 2:1-2 First of all, then, I counsel that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for all human beings, 2 including kings and all in positions of prominence; so that we may lead quiet and peaceful lives, being godly and upright in everything.

These and other passages of Scripture indicate that whenever a nation lacks quality, legitimate, and just leaders, nationwide deterioration occurs. However, just as it is impossible for a bitter spring to bring forth sweet water it is impossible for an unrighteous world to produce righteous leaders or for an unjust system to produce just characteristics.

The essence of leadership is the exercise of influence. The command given to the Christian church by Christ is, “Go and make disciples of all nations, teaching them the things I have taught you. This is a direct mandate to provide leadership for nations, instructing them to live according to the principles of the kingdom of God.

Matthew 28:19–20 19 Therefore, go and make people from all nations into talmidim, immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh, 20 and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age.”

Yet it is sad that even the church itself is in need of quality leadership. Perhaps part of the reason for this is that the church and its theology have been preoccupied with heaven and preparing individuals to leave the planet, meanwhile forsaking the responsibility of producing quality leaders for the earth today. The responsibility to meet this need is the challenge of our generation for the sake of the generations to come.

Called to Lead
The Great Leadership Misconception Not everyone would agree with the concept of everyday leaders. The great Greek philosophers, such as Plato, Aristotle, and Socrates, considered and explored the dynamics of human behavior and the nature of humanity. A significant portion of their investigation and contemplation focused on the art and dynamics of human social relationships in regard to governing.

They addressed the subject of leadership and examined this complex issue in much detail. One of their basic conclusions was that leadership is a product of natural endowment and personality traits. They postulated that one person is born to lead, while others are born to follow and be subordinate.

For many years now, this concept of leadership has prevailed in numerous schools of thought and has gone unchallenged, for the most part. The results have produced a historical, global concept that the masses are destined to be ruled by the significant, privileged few, sentenced by fate to their circumstances, to live life as dictated.

There are people who, based on the Greek philosophers’ theories, never would have been accepted as leadership material. Yet they became some of the greatest leaders in history.

Moses, a fugitive from Pharaoh’s justice—a murderer and a man who presented every excuse for why he should not be considered for leadership—became the greatest lawgiver in history.

Gideon, a coward, was threshing wheat for his father when the call came for him to rise and become the deliverer of his nation. His response to this challenge was, “My clan is the weakest in Israel, my family is poor, and I am the least likely candidate in my family.” (See Judges 6:15.) Yet Gideon became one of the greatest leaders and warriors of his generation.

David, an insignificant shepherd boy who was considered the least in his family, has his place in history as the greatest king the nation of Israel has ever produced.

Peter, a simple fisherman with an impulsive personality, was catapulted to the position of the first major leader of the early Christian church.

Everyone Can Lead
I believe there is a leader in everyone waiting to serve his or her generation. It is essential that you change your concept of leadership now and see yourself the way your Creator sees you. We are not all the same, but we are all leaders in our own unique ways.

Created to Lead
When I talk about a tendency to resist control, I am not referring to a person resisting collaboration and teamwork but to his or her frustration at being dominated. To understand yourself, you must understand three truths established in these words.

1. God created us in His image and likeness. These words connote His authority, His character, and His moral and spiritual nature. Power and rulership are part of God’s nature. He is the King and Ruler of the universe. Therefore, since man was made in God’s image, deeply embedded in the nature of man is the spirit of rulership and authority.

2. The Creator breathed His own life into human beings, further imparting His own nature to them.

3. God established man’s role and function in relationship to the earth by stating, “Let them rule [“have dominion” nkjv] over…all the earth.”

Genesis 1:26-27 26 Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, in the likeness of ourselves; and let them rule over the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the animals, and over all the earth, and over every crawling creature that crawls on the earth.” 27 So God created humankind in his own image; in the image of God he created him: male and female he created them.

Genesis 2:7  Then Adonai, God, formed a person  from the dust of the ground  and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, so that he became a living being.

God created man to rule, or to have dominion, over the earth.

God gave dominion over the earth to both male and female.

Male and female were created to dominate and not to be dominated.

Human beings are meant to rule according to God’s nature and Spirit.

God never gave people the authority to dominate one another.

(The male is not to dominate the female, and vice versa.)

God specified what humans were to rule, or have dominion over: the earth and creation.

You were not created to be dominated. This is why, whenever a human being is subjugated by another human being, whether it is by a governing system or forced labor, he has an inevitable desire and will to throw off this unnatural restraint. In God’s original purpose and plan, He never intended for there to be some people who are always leaders and others who are always followers or “subordinates” among men, as we know them today.

Each Person Is Meant to Fulfill a Unique Role
Each person is meant to fulfill his unique part in the whole, each being responsible for leadership in his sphere of assignment and accountable ultimately to God the Creator. In other words, each of us was created to be a leader led by the Spirit of God! No one is to lord it over others or prevent them from maximizing their potential.

Evidence of this interruption in God’s purpose and plan for each human being to exercise leadership is underscored in the pronouncements He made to the first man and woman after they disobeyed His word:

Genesis 3:16–19 To the woman he said, “...Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.” To Adam he said, “...Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you....By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food.”

Here we see the reversal of the order of dominion and authority. Instead of both male and female ruling and dominating the earth together, as God originally commanded, the subjection of man over man was introduced.

Also, instead of man dominating the earth, as had been established in the beginning, the earth was now poised to dominate man. This relationship is not natural; it goes against our original nature, which was to rule rather than to be ruled.

Return to Your Purpose to become a leader, therefore, you must return to your original purpose. I work with people all over the world in leadership development. There are two ways to discover the leadership purpose that the Creator has put inside you:

(1) Learn it and

(2) Experience it.

As you commit to the process of becoming a leader, you will be able to:

Discover your true self and bring meaning and fulfillment to your life.

Develop the gifts and talents you were meant to share with the world.

Leave a legacy that will be an influence for good even after you are gone.

There is a leader in everyone, waiting to be released. Will you discover the leader within you?

Shema Selah time to cultivate the leader in you!!  In the midst of the world crying out for principled leaders to serve the people! https://www.facebook.com/fiveam.prayer/videos/1599284630149647/?l=1036860128041951059

Men Of Torah Day--How to “Fall Up”!!!

Proverbs 24:16

We are walking in today:  Men Of Torah Day--How to “Fall Up”!!!
Witness fall throughout the Bible:  H5307 naphal--to fall, be cast down, fail

Numbers 14:3 And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall H5307
by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?

The Torah testifies...............
Numbers  14:29 Your carcases shall fall H5307 in this wilderness; and all that
were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me,

The prophets proclaim..................
Isaiah 10:4 Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall
fall H5307 under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

The writings bear witness...........................
 1

Chronicles 21:13 And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall H5307 now
into the hand of the LORD; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall H5307 into the hand of man.

Jeremiah  8:4 Moreover thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD; Shall they fall, H5307 and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return?

Proverbs 24:16 For though he falls seven times, he will get up again; it’s the wicked who fail under stress.

How to “Fall Up”: Restoration After Character Failure:

The streets of history are littered with the remains of wasted lives— the lives of powerful, talented, skillful, and educated leaders who collapsed under the weight of their achievements, success, notoriety, influence, and power because they lacked an ethical foundation that could have carried them to their destiny.

Many of these onetime great leaders undervalued the priority and power of character in their lives. They traded faith for fame, principles for power, and moral respect for reputation.

It is tragic to observe the dishonorable descent of such leaders who, by their own indiscretion, irresponsibility, lack of discipline, and abuse of privilege sell their integrity for temporary pleasures and destroy their character.

Leaders are normally trained in how to succeed, but they are rarely taught how to fail effectively— by learning from their mistakes and making changes to avoid repeating them in the future. They fall down, but they don’t know how to “fall up” after failing.

Remember that a leader’s ability to function successfully in his role of influencing others for a great cause in the interest of humanity is what I call the “trust factor.” Trust is the currency of true leadership and is the power that is deposited into the leader’s influence account. The only way to protect this deposit of trust is to establish strong character.

It can take years for a leader to build this account— but only minutes of irresponsibility to deplete it and even cancel it.

The following are the steps to restoration, reconciliation, and reclamation after you have experienced a moral failure or otherwise “fallen” in your leadership role:

1. Admit your need for help.
2. Confess your violation of trust.
3. Identify a true and reliable authority in your life to be accountable to.
4. Practice complete submission to that authority without condition.
5. Obey the advice, counsel, and instruction of that authority without condition.
6. Accept full responsibility for your fall.
7. Agree never to attempt to defend yourself or your act of indiscretion.
8. Agree to allow the authority to represent and speak on your behalf to your constituency and the greater community.
9. Practice total submission to the discretion of the authority with regard to your readiness to return to public service.
10. Establish a permanent relationship with the authority for the purpose of ongoing accountability.

If a leader follows these steps, he can find healing and restoration. The safest course to take when you fall is to submit yourself to a qualified human authority. Again, failure is not the termination of a leader’s call, assignment, gifts, or talents.

Make sure you take time out from your other responsibilities to evaluate what went wrong. Some leaders who fail keep on going as if nothing had happened. You will need to seek forgiveness from those you have let down, but then you must develop self-control, steadiness, maturity, and all the other values of principled leadership.

Trust the Creator to restore you to leadership when you are ready for it. There is life after “the fall,” but you must follow the process of restoration in order to receive its benefits.
