Citizens As Ambassadors!!!

Exodus chapter 20

Today we are walking in: Citizens As Ambassadors!!!!

Today we look to the word-KING- H4428 melek-- king, royal.

The Torah testifies.........……

Deuteronomy 3:21

And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto these two kings: H4428 so shall the LORD do unto all the kingdoms whither thou passest.

The prophets proclaim..................

Isaiah 49:7

Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings H4428 shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.

The writings bear witness............

Joshua 10:24

And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings H4428 unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. H4428 And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.

CITIZENS AS AMBASSADORS

Everybody on Earth is looking for something. They do not know what they are looking for. They do not know how to describe it. They search everywhere. They drink liquor, smoke dope, go to parties and clubs. They change jobs, get a different spouse, or go back to school for more education. They read books and search the Internet for whatever it is that they are missing. What can satisfy this yearning? Those of us who have found the Kingdom know what it is-it is the King. Once you find Him, you know you have found your long-sought desire, and from the first moment, you want to share the good news with others. He is alive! He loves us! We can know Him! The more we learn about Him, the better it gets. We want to communicate to all of the other searchers what He is like. This King is both our Yah and our Abba; therefore He draws us into His Kingdom and His family circle at the same time. Most of us remain right where we started out, within the same human families, living and working with the same people. But we are not the same anymore. For one thing, we have become ambassadors. From searchers and seekers, we become, by some imperceptible means, representatives of our new King and His government, wherever we may reside. We may travel from place to place, or we may stay put for decades. Wherever we are, we bring a taste of Heaven.

Being Religious Is Not Enough

The goal of Yah was never religion, but rather something I call “rulership through relationship.” I have described His original plan to have Adam and all the people who followed him rule over and manage the planet, and the close association between the words “dominate” and “kingdom,” which you might call rulership. But rulership alone was never Yah’s goal, because it must be based on a relationship with Him. We come into the Kingdom of Yah exclusively through establishing a personal relationship with the King and His Son Yahashua. The Son opened up the way to this relationship when He became a man Himself. His Ruach comes to live inside each one of us, and we begin a lifelong process of growing more and more into His likeness. Not only that, we begin to carry the fragrance of Heaven wherever we go. The apostle named Paul summed it up best when he wrote: Therefore, if anyone is in Hamashiach, he is a new creation’ old things have passed away; behold all things have become new. Now all things are of Yah, who has reconciled us to Himself through Yahushua Hamashiach, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that Yah was in Hamashiach reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Hamashiach, as though Yah were pleading through us: we implore you on Hamachiach’s behalf, be reconciled to Yah. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of Yah in Him. (2 Cor. 5:17-21, emphasis mine)

We have not been saved from our old, earthbound lives simply so that we could become nice-looking additions to the heavenly choir. We have also been given a task to complete- spreading the Kingdom across the globe. We have been commissioned to show the world what the Kingdom looks like. We have become diplomats for the department of Heaven that has colonized Earth. In short, we have become ambassadors for Hamashiach Yahashua. You cannot represent someone you do not know. So that is why being religious is not enough. You need an ongoing relationship with the One in whose name you carry out your day-to-day duties. With His Ruach inside, that should not be difficult to carry out, but we seem to need reminders. Books such as this one are helping people remember, “Yes, I am an ambassador for Hamashiach, and I know what that means.” An ambassador must be connected to the one he represents.

Other people represent their religions (or lack of religion) too, but they do not have this kind of a relationship. That is why they resort to rituals and secret practices, to moral codes and dress regulations. That is also why, sooner or later, they admit that they are still searching for something more. They are not connected with the King, and He created them to be connected.

More Than A Messenger

In diplomatic circles, although ambassadors often live in foreign countries, they keep in touch with their head of state back home. Almost without exception, they know that person well. Ambassadors cannot legislate. They do not create new governmental policies or declare war. Yet they occupy a special position, government-to-government. Their words carry weight. They are senior representatives who have been invested with authority from their governing authority. In the Scripture quoted above, the Greek word translated as ambassador is presbeuo, which means someone just like that. Paul uses the same word again in his letter to the church in the city of Ephesus:[Pray for me}, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. (Eph. 6:19-20, emphasis mine) Imagine that! Paul was locked up in prison without much hope of being released, and he still considered himself an ambassador of Hamashiach. Although his freedom of movement had been curtailed, he was able to write letters such as the one he wrote to the Ephesians, he was able to speak with visitors and guards, and he was able to stay connected to the King through prayerful attention to the Ruach within him.

Vested With Authority

Elsewhere in the New Testament, another Greek word for ambassador appears. The word is Kerux and it is commonly translated “preacher,” “herald,” or “proclaimer.” Sucha messenger has been vested with authority to convey the official messages of kings, magistrates, princes, military commanders to authorities in other places, and to perform duties on behalf of their sending ruler. Throughout the New Testament, Yah’s kerux ambassadors are proclaiming the divine Word. They were vested with authority by Yah the King to deliver messages and perform duties on His behalf, wherever they went. It did not stop after the New Testament times. You and I have been vested with the same authority. Yahashua was speaking to us when He said, “I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Abba conferred one on me” (Luke 22:29). His meaning is clear-messengers and ambassadors of the Kingdom carry the authority of the entire country as they go from place to place. They do not carry only a set of diplomatic rituals or social niceties. Their words have weight, and they know it. Dr. Munroe says, I never thought deeply about the word “confer” until it was used over me in a ceremony. Some years ago, I received the OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) from a representative of the Queen of England. I had to bow and he put this thing over my neck. Then the governor pinned something on my suit coat, speaking as he did it, “By the authority of the Queen of England, I confer on you the British Empire.” He conferred a whole nation on me. Now when I go to England and they see “OBE” on my passport, everybody jumps to attention. “Yes, sir, Dr. Munroe; is there anything we can do for you?” Those simple initials carry the weight of authority. Everytime someone becomes an official ambassador of a country, the same phrase is used: “I confer on you the Commonwealth of the Bahamas,” using the name of the ambassador’s country. Thus, that individual personifies the whole country. We are official ambassadors of the Kingdom of Yah because Yahashua has conferred the Kingdom on us.

Ambassadorship

You will never see an ambassador in a club or a disco. You will never hear that he got drunk and walked around in public inappropriately dressed or participated in some scandal. Such behavior does not befit the dignity of the office. Ambassadors choose their words carefully, and you will never see them explode in anger in public. Whatever an ambassador does, the global community will impute to the country he or she represents. The ambassador is the country. This should be no less true for Kingdom ambassadors. We should be asking ourselves, “Am I representing Heaven?” as we walk around the food store, go to the gas station, or walk across the street. I think one reason we are not very disciplined in our lives is because we do not understand that we are carrying the weight of the country of Heaven. Yahashua said, “He who has seen Me has seen the Abba” (John 14:9). In essence, he was saying, “If you have seen Me, you have seen my source.” Can You say that? Why or why not? Do people have an idea of what Heaven is like when they meet you? You might be the only Kingdom believer in your workplace. Those people around you have only one source for their information about Heaven; you may be the only “heavenling” they know. How you act and react will represent your citizenship. Remember that you have been appointed as the local ambassador of the Kingdom in that workplace.

Benefits of Ambassadorship

If you turn it around, you can see that when you represent another country, it is a good situation to be in. Yes, you must behave yourself with dignity as befits your office. But you will be permitted to enjoy all the benefits of your citizenship with additional benefits added. For example, have you ever seen an ambassador driving an old jalopy with holes in his shirt? No, because the government pays all of his bills. If he needs something he just asks. “No problem, sir. “You are the ambassador.” Dr. Munroe says, Not too long ago, I went with a few others to Haiti. The Bahamian ambassador picked us up at the airport and we drove through the streets in an air-conditioned SUV. All around us was rubble. People were sleeping on the streets in the muck, just as you have seen in all the pictures. We just drove through all of that in air-conditioned comfort, sipping on cool drinks. The Bahamian flag was fluttering from the front of that beautiful SUV. I am sure that the people we passed were wondering what country that flag represented, thinking to themselves, Wherever that flag comes from, I want to go there. We arrived at the ambassador’s house in the hills. I said, “Wait a minute. Are we still in the same country that had the earthquake?” Yes. We walked into the house and someone served us a big breakfast of bacon, cheese, and grits, right there in the middle of all that poverty. The ambassador took me to my bedroom and it was as big as a house. He said, “You can sleep here tonight” I asked if he meant me and the brother who was with me or me alone. “Oh, he has his own room. This is all for you.”And he opened a curtain and showed both of us a big swimming pool full of blue water. I said, “Don’t you feel guilty sometimes, your Excellency?” He said, “No. When you step into my car and drive through my gate, you enter the Bahamas.” The property of an embassy is the same as the country it represents. It will always be as rich as the country the ambassador comes from. It will never have to be as poor as the country in which the embassy and the ambassador’s house are situated. As we sat eating at that breakfast table, the ambassador had said, “Do you want more?” and we said yes. So the cook came in with another big plate of food. We could have had even more if we had asked. There was no end of food-in Haiti, after an earthquake. The ambassador never had to fly to the Bahamas for his bacon and eggs. He received it every day in Haiti. He did not need to go back to the Bahamas to enjoy a nice, air conditioned house with a pool. He was experiencing the Bahamian lifestyle in a country away from the Bahamas. The Kingdom lifestyle- clean living, love-filled, and truly joyful- is ours wherever we may be stationed on the globe. The King is taking such good care of His citizens that they are living like the Bahamian ambassador in a ruined world. He is at work inside us, making us look more and more like Him. His goal is to bring us to a place where we will have no corruption, no sickness, no pressure, no difficulties. He gives us a big taste of it now. This is a culture of plenty, and it makes people want to come to Yah.

Every Citizen Of The Kingdom Is An Ambassador

As you go to work tomorrow morning or stop to buy something that you need, remember that you are a citizen of Heaven and an ambassador for the Kingdom of Heaven. This is important, because you will not be able to be much of an ambassador for the King if you forget your identity. He has conferred His authority on you, and He has given you an assignment, to represent Him wherever you go and to spread the truth about the Kingdom you represent. Can you do that? I pray that you will be able to connect with the King on a daily basis, and that you will hear what He is saying to you. Your assignment may seem insignificant to you, but the way you complete it is very important. May your citizenship in the Kingdom equip you to be a true ambassador, and may the King commend you for your service when its time is over. “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!” (Matt. 25:21, NIV)

Responsibility Of The Citizen!!! Part 2!!!

Exodus Chapter 20

Today we are walking in: Responsibility Of The Citizen!!! Part 2!!!

Today we look to the word RIGHTEOUSNESS--H6663 tsadaq -- Justify, Righteous, Just, Justice, Cleansed, Clear Ourselves, Righteousness

The Torah testifies.........……

Deuteronomy 6:25
And it shall be our righteousness H6663, if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.

The prophets proclaim..................

Isaiah 54:17

Isaiah 54:17
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness H6663 is of me, saith the Lord.

The writings bear witness............

Proverbs 11:5
The righteousness H6663 of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

The Power Of Obeying Laws

Righteous means obeying the laws of Yah, out of love for Him and with his help. The word “righteous” means all of these things: right positioning under authority, alignment with authority, right standing with authority, fellowship with authority, relationship with authority, correct standing with the regulations of authority and fulfillment of a king’s requirements. In essence, obedience to the laws of any nation is a form of righteousness, and that obedience keeps you in good standing within the country.

You know what it feels like to transgress a law or rule, how it makes your heart thump faster when you see the police or another authority figure coming, even if that person does not know what you did. You have a private judge on the inside that makes you feel guilty. You know that you are out of alignment with the authority because you violated a regulation.

The only solution is to re-engage with your authority, to get back under his legal protection. Seek to regain and maintain your alignment with the governing authorities, and you will regain access to everything in the constitution.

Benefits Of Being A Law-Abiding Kingdom Citizen

Citizenship is the key to empowerment, because it provides legitimate access to all the rights and privileges of a state. When you become a citizen of the Kingdom, your citizenship is registered in heaven (see Ephesians 2:19). Therefore, you obtain all the rights and privileges of Heaven. With the keys of the Kingdom in your hands, you have access to the storehouse. As long as you keep those keys in your hands, you can go in and out as often as you want to.

This puts you in a particular category of citizen, and it is a powerful category. For you as a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven, nothing is impossible. (Yahashua said so; see Matthew 17:20.) You can move mountains.

Benefits Of Prayer

Yahashua told a story about a widow who went before an ungodly judge (see Luke 18:1-8). He was the worst judge around, a man who did not fear Yah and did not honor people. In those days, widows were destitute. They had nobody to look after their rights or their welfare. They were very vulnerable. This particular widow was no different from the others, except that she knew her rights. She knew that she had a right to her claim before the judge, and she was unrelenting in her persistence.

When that little widow stood before that judge, she knew her stuff. The judge said, “No.” She persisted anyway. The judge said, “Go away.” She came back. She was not begging or weeping. She was making a request, because she knew what her rights were. She knew the judge was required to render them to her.

Most think of the words “judge” and “judgement” in a negative sense. We think of judgemental statements and consignment to prison (or to hell). But when the Bible says Yahashua was a righteous judge, it means He is the judge who is always lined up correctly with the laws of Yah- the one who gives you your rights. Train your mind to think of Him as a judge who is a rights-giver. His job is to get you what is rightfully yours. The lawyer makes the appeal but the judge executes justice.

The better you know what is written in the law-book, the Bible, the better you will know what your rights are. I have been calling it the constitution of the Kingdom, because it tells you all of your rights, privileges, expectations, aspirations, and hopes- and it tells you what you need to do to obtain and attain them. If you know what the Bible says and you follow it, you will be a law-abiding citizen who will not lose your rights.

In our experience, the Ruach Hakodesh is the Advocate, Counselor, or chief lawyer before the throne of Yah. We know that the Bible was written by the inspiration of the Ruach. This guarantees that the Ruach knows that legal document front-ward and backward. Because He abides inside of us after we become reborn citizens, we do not have to come before the Judge all alone.

The Spirit brings the law to our remembrance, and He makes our appeal to Yahashua, “[who] always lives to make inter-cession for them” (Heb. 7:25). He is praying for us, standing between Heaven’s judgement and our sin. This is a setup for total success. How can you go into that courtroom and lose a case? Even more powerful, this intercessor is your brother. Before you even get to the room, he is praying for you. He is offering His own righteousness on your behalf. When you walk in, you do not need to say anything. The Ruach Hakodesh looks at the Abba and says, “According to what He did” nodding toward Yahashua who took care of the matter on the cross, and the appeal gets finalized. Your advocate does not bring up your name. He brings the name of the King who paid the price for you and who has been praying for you ever since. You have the whole government backing you up.

Prayer itself does not get things done. Positioning in prayer gets things done. The best preparation for prayer is your obedience to the laws of Yah. Many times, the reason Yah cannot help you is because you ask Him last. Only by staying aligned with the Lawgiver and Judge, through the work of the Ruach and Son, can you prevail.

Have you noticed that if you have just sinned, you are unable to find boldness in prayer? When you break Yah’s law, it shuts down your prayer life. You have cancelled your right to appeal. “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me” (Psalm 66:18). The prophet Isaiah stated it clearly” “But your iniquities have separated you from your Yah; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear” (Isa. 59:2).

It will not matter how loudly you beg for mercy and cry out for help, because Yah does not bless you because you cry; He blessed you because you qualify. Believers have authority in prayer as long as they have maintained their side of their covenant with the King. The covenant is a legal agreement. You do not have to go before Him with theatrics or hysterics any more than a lawyer would go before a judge that way. You just have to be a citizen in good standing, and the judge will hear your case.

Does that sound too legalistic to you? Did you think that Yahashuas’ coming meant the end of the Law? I have news for you; His coming meant that the Law was fulfilled in Him. “Hamashiach is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes” (Rom. 10:4).

Everybody in the Kingdom is equal. The King does not listen to special interest groups, and nobody has to wear special Kingdom regalia to get His attention. Any citizen of the Kingdom has equal access to the King. He will act on the behalf of anyone as soon as He sees that Yahashua is standing there on that person’s behalf.

Benefits Of Access

Let’s say I am a multi-billionaire and you are my son or daughter. You ask me for your inheritance early. I am generous, so I give you a billion dollars, and I help you set up a bank account for it. It is a drop in the bucket for me anyway, since I have more than 30 billion in my own bank accounts.

When your sister says, “Daddy,, I don’t want my own bank account,” I am glad because I would rather give her access to mine. It is the better choice. I will give her access to my accounts and she can write checks whenever she needs to. She will never run out of money, will she? This is the same as Yah’s provision for His citizens. No wonder Yahashua told His Disciples not to take any luggage when they set out to preach and heal the sick: “Take nothing for the journey- no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt” (Luke 9:3). He will send His provision all along the way, because they have access to His account.

Righteousness being in a right position with regard to the government of Heaven is what guarantees your access. My first child cannot go to the bank and demand funds from my account. Neither can you go to the throne room of Yah and start claiming things that you are not qualified to claim. Citizenship and right standing give you rights and justice.

Many people think that righteousness means staying clear of big sins. (You know, don’t roba bank and don’t murder anybody.) But righteousness covers obedience to every little law; it also means do not lie or deceive people, do not be jealous or envious, do not criticize or judge, do not murmur or complain. One murmur can shut the whole government down as far as your access is concerned.

Now one of the dumbest things a person can do is get up in the King’s face and start fussing at Him. That is called rebellion. The only remedy is repentance and humble submission. Do not forfeit your access to Yah. He loves you and He has given you the whole Kingdom:

The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry. (Ps. 34:15)

Sit at My right hand, till I make your enemies your footstool.” (Ps. 110:1)

In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (prov. 3:6)

Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of The Most High your Yah, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Most High your Yah will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Most High your Yah… (Deut. 28:1-2)

Come Like A Child

We complicate our lives so much. Yahashua makes it simple. One time, he took a nearby child and used him to illustrate his point about how to enter the Kingdom and stay in the Kingdom:

Then Yahashua called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them and said, Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (Matt. 18:2-4)

Do you see? Our primary responsibility as citizens of the Kingdom is to remain childlike. Stay close to Yah. Do what He says. Trust Him. Stop worrying; your Daddy is taking care of you. Right now morning, noon and night.

The enemy of Kingdom life is being an adult. Being an adult will kill you, because you take on the responsibilities of the universe and you are not equipped to do that. You are a child; get used to the idea. Yah is your Abba and Yahashua is your big brother. You thought that being a mature citizen meant taking on more responsibilities, but in the Kingdom, it means taking on less. Adults have to calculate, analyze and explain everything before they act. Adults do not believe in something until they see it. Adults need a reason before they will believe anything.

Children, on the other hand, are quick to believe, innocent of strategic thinking, pliable. They put unquestioning trust in those over them. They are not at all impressed by status or money. When they meet a billionaire on the street they think he is just another old man like their grandfather. Children do not own much of anything, so it is not hard for them to give up things.

You never hear of a child fretting about having enough money, because somebody will always take care of them. They take things for granted, and that is okay. When I was a child, we had eleven children in the house and my father was not wealthy. It never occurred to me or my brothers and sisters to worry about where our next meal was coming from. It just happened.

Kingdom citizens soon learn how to trust like a child. Our Abba supplies our needs from the most amazing directions. Who, for example, would ever thought that Yah’s safety deposit box was the mouth of a fish? When the disciples had to come up with tax money, Yahashua directed them: “Go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours” (Matt. 17:27).

You were not born to beg. You were born to collect. You were born to have access to endless supply because your father owns everything. You are a family member, a member of His household. You are also a citizen. That gives you relationship status and also legal status. Your disposition with Yah gives you position with Yah.

When you come like a child to the threshold of the Kingdom, it is easy to get through the door. Yah created you to be a citizen of the Kingdom. Do your part and you will never regret it. Every citizen must make his or her own response to the requirements of citizenship. Nobody can obey the law for another person. I cannot stop st the red light for you; you have to do it yourself. I cannot pay your taxes. I cannot align myself with the laws of the Kingdom on your behalf, as much as I might want to.

Obedience to the laws of the Kingdom is both a proof and a demonstration of true love. The King is coming back someday, and He will decide who has been following His ways. He will not be impressed with the biggest churches or the longest list of academic degrees. He will look at the hearts of his citizens. “Did you love Me? Did you love others? Did you listen and obey My Word?” Those who can answer “yes” will dwell in the Kingdom for all of eternity:

When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, “Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” (Matt. 25:31-34

Sheep or goats? I know which group I want to be part of, and I hope I will meet you there.

Responsibility Of The Citizen!!!!

Exodus chapter 20

Today we are walking in: The Responsibility of The Citizen!!!

Today we look to the word- KINGDOM- H4467 mamlâkâh,- dominion, (abstractly) the estate (rule) or (concretely) the country (realm):—kingdom, king's, reign, royal

The Torah testifies...............

Deuteronomy 17:18

And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, H4467 that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:

The prophets proclaim..................

1 Samuel 10:18

And said unto the children of Israel, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all kingdoms, H4467 and of them that oppressed you:

The writings bear witness...........................

1 Kings 9:5

Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom H4467 upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

You are a citizen of a country on Earth, and I hope you are a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven. Remember that your citizenship does not mean only that the government is responsible for taking care of you, but that you have a responsibility to the government as well. It is a two-way street, and the traffic goes both ways. Just as it is for you as a citizen of your earthly country, so also in the Kingdom of Yah are you held accountable to the government by means of its constitution, in this case, the Bible. You can be a much happier and more productive citizen when you understand your responsibilities.

Sad to say, many people do not want to shoulder their responsibilities. They are glad Yah has saved them, but they do not necessarily want to obey Him. They do not understand that their obedience is a way of expressing their appreciation. Yahashua Hamashiach Himself put it concisely: “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (john: ). They also fail to acknowledge that the rights that they enjoy as citizens, while they cannot be earned because they have been given as privileges, must be maintained through simple obedience to the laws of the land.

Submission To Authority

When you become a citizen of a country, the laws of that country automatically become your laws. As you submit to those laws, you submit to the authority of the government. By submitting to the laws, you are free to remain in the country for a long time, to move around the country for pleasure or business, and to enjoy the protections and privileges of citizenship.

Break even one of those laws, however, and your freedoms will be curtailed. If you have transgressed in a significant way, you may be incarcerated in prison. You may be deprived of your passport. You may be required to go through a long process before you can be reinstated as a free citizen. Jails are filled with irresponsible citizens who did not take responsibility for keeping the law.

Citizenship manifests the contract between the government and the people. The key to enjoying the privileges that come with citizenship is personal obedience to the laws of the country.

So these are the facts, if you are part of the country called the Kingdom of Heaven:

You are a citizen with legal rights to benefit from the constitution of Yah.

You have personal rights and authority to exercise your power as a citizen through alignment with constitutional law.

The last phrase is the clincher. The secret to wielding authority in the Kingdom is aligning yourself with the laws of the country, in other words, obedience. You obey Yah for the sake of your life here and now (and not just in order to get to Heaven when you die). This is the Kingdom lifestyle, and maintaining it is your responsibility.

Authority is a good thing, and you never outgrow your need for it. Can you imagine a plant saying this to the soil? “That is enough. You have been holding me down for all these years. I’m out of here, and I am taking my root with me.” What would happen if a plant did that? It would die, sooner than later. The absence of authority brings self-destruction.

Fish were created to submit to water. If a fish decides to move out from under its authority, you do not need to punish it, because it will die. The safest place for the fish to be is submitted. Surely you have seen a fish out of water. It gasps and flips and flops, trying as hard as it can to get back into water. I know people like that. They try this and that and wonder why nothing is working. When young people leave home too early, life can be very tough for a long time. It is the same principle. It is time to get back under authority.

Part of submission to authority is patience. When we fly, sometimes I listen to the pilot talking on the radio. That man needs to be completely submitted to authority. If the control tower tells him he cannot land yet, he goes into a holding pattern. His flight plan is very specific. He cannot deviate from it twelve inches in any direction without getting permission. He may not be able to see any other aircraft around him, but the people in the tower can see all of them, coming and going.

In the same way, the authorities over us keep us from crashing into each other if we obey their directives. Freedom has boundaries, always. In the Kingdom, if the King says, “You are free to eat from any other tree, but do not eat from this tree,” He has good reasons. Disobedience is not the best way to find out about the repercussions.

Authority Makes Power Legal

We like to be around powerful people, but we need to ask ourselves, “Is this person’s power under authority?” Power combines ability and energy and force, while authority is the right and permission to use that power. Authority is the right to use power effectively, not because you could, but because you should. Authority makes power legal.

Therefore, authority is more important than power. Teenagers may have the power to leave home, but they do not yet have the authority to leave. A person may be very aggressive and loud in speaking, but if they do not have authority, their words will not carry weight.

Submission to authority is what makes a person effective.

One time a military officer came to see Yahashua on behalf of his servant who was lying at home, paralyzed and suffering. Yahashua was willing to accompany him to his home in order to hela the servant, but much to his surprise the man declined his offer:

The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

Notice how the centurion addressed Yahashua. He called him “Lord,” which indicates that he honored His authority. “Lord” is a legal term, not a religious term. It means “owner”. In that culture, you would use that word for king.

See also how the centurion’s military experience gave him a more complete understanding of the way authority works. He was completely submitted to the Roamn emperor and any other commanders who ranked above him. He had at least a hundred soldiers who reported directly to him (The title “centurion” is related to the word “century”, which indicates one hundred.) Probably he has been watching Yahshua as he worked in the village. He may have seen Him healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out demons and more. Obviously, this man Yahashua had power. Obviously some higher authority was guiding Him. He knew that a person’s performance depended upon his obedience to the instructions he had been given.

So he made the leap from his natural observation to faith and Yahashua was impressed with that, declaring that the servant was already being healed, and commending the centurion to the people around them. A distance away, the paralyzed servant got up from his mat, healed and whole, without Yahashua ever having had to make the trip to his house.

In the same way, if any of us want to experience Yah’s best for our lives, we must get positioned properly which is to say under authority and our entraties will be heard and answered.

Righteousness Exalts A Nation

Yahashua said, “Seek first the kingdom of Yah and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matt. 6:33). He wants us to seek first His Kingdom and, along with it, His righteousness is the same as submission to His authority within the Kingdom of Yah. By becoming righteous, you uphold the authority of the Kingdom which in turn will uphold you. “Righteousness exalts a nation” (Prov. 14:34). This is nothing like other religions, where “submitting” involves trying to keep your god happy. You are not bringing gifts to an altar or lighting incense and chanting in front of a statue. You are not contributing money or going through all sorts of rituals to obligate your king to look after you. You are not appeasing the authorities.

When you submit to Yah’s authority, He shows you what is next. He helps you change your behavior. He even helps you seek more of His righteousness. By remaining close to Him, you guarantee that the authority of the government of the Kingdom will be extended through you wherever you go.

When you keep the law, you secure your Yah-given authority over the kingdom darkness. Evidently, hell keeps track when citizens of the Kingdom keep the laws of Yah. Demons will know who you are if you abide in the Kingdom righteously. You are in their computer. That means that you can cast them out with ease, because they know you by your Kingdom reputation.

The laws to which you are submitting are heavenly laws, such as, “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you and pray for those who spitefully use you” (Luke 6:27-28). So as you use kingdom love, which is powerful enough to extinguish the powers of darkness around you, you keep yourself under the protection of Yah while fulfilling your assignment.

You know that hatred will shut down your faith, and so will blind rituals. (In Galatians 5:6, Paul says, “For in Christ Yahashua neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.”) So you submit to the Yah of love even more completely, to your own benefit as much as the benefit of those around you.

You do not get things from Yah just because you ask. You get things from the government of Heaven because you keep the laws of the country. It is not enough to talk about the laws. You need to read the law-book as often as possible and follow those laws faithfully. The minute you stop doing that, you start removing yourself from the King’s protection and help.

A lot of people think they can get away with sins just because nobody’s looking. That is audacious, to say the least. We come to Yah and say, “Yah, heal me (but I’m still going to take drugs).” Or we say, “I’m going to sleep with that woman I am not married to, but I want you to bless my business and pay my bills.” We demand things while we are in disobedience.

Instead of breaking laws and hoping you can get away with it, why not start obeying laws that you would not mind getting caught obeying? For example, see if you can get caught loving your brother. See if somebody can catch you paying your tithe. Let somebody catch you forgiving someone who hurt you, or spot you committing an act of kindness. Gossip about somebody who has lived with his wife for forty-two years without strife; that would be a wonderful thing to gossip about. The laws of this country are wonderful, every one of them. Do right intentionally all the time, and the king is going to bless you.

How To Submit To Authority

Submitting to the King of kings often entails submitting to those He has established in authority. You cannot submit to someone you are comparing yourself to or competing with, especially if you are interested in taking that person’s position. By the same token, you cannot submit to someone if you are jealous of that person, or if you distrust that person. It just does not work.

A good king is willing to decrease so one of his subjects can increase. In other words, a good king is willing to move over and let one of his citizens exercise power. A citizen can expect this to happen. He should not feel the need to push and shove to get the king’s attention, nor should he shoulder his way in with a sense of entitlement.

You will find it impossible to submit to someone if you think they are not as smart as you are, even when you tell yourself you are not influenced by such things. Naturally authority does not match up with intelligence, and still less with educational achievement. But pride gets in the way and you cannot put yourself lower than a person you want to correct all the time.

Conversely, you will be able to submit to someone’s authority if you are able to trust and respect that person. You will indicate your submission by laying down your own agenda in favor of theirs. You will not feel the need to win an argument or negotiate an outcome. Instead, you will find joy in performing assigned tasks and asking for advice.

Sometimes people say to an authority figure, “The Lord sent me to work with you. I want you to be my mentor.” That is not submission. Those people just want to gain a measure of honor and fame in the eyes of others, so they can take away some of your friends and followers. They have got their ulterior motives all worked out.

You will find it easy to submit to someone if you know in your spirit that Yah brought this person into your life. Your discernment will show you that the person will not take advantage of you, and that he or she wants Yah’s best for your life. You will be able to tell that your own effectiveness will improve if you are under this person’s authority.

Keys Of The Kingdom

The laws of Yah are the keys to His Kingdom. Abiding by His righteous ruling unlocks the divine power that you need to live as a fully vested citizen of Heaven. Therefore, the more you can learn about his laws, the better.

This is a spiritual reality with very practical implications. It changes a person’s lifestyle into a Kingdom lifestyle, and that lifestyle has authoritative power. Look at the connection:

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. (Matt. 16:19)

When you use the keys of the Kingdom to lock and unlock, bind and unbind, you are not responsible for the exercise of power or for the results. You are, however, responsible to obtain and use the keys in the first place. By submitting to the laws of the Kingdom, you surrender to the authority of Yah, and that sets you free from the burden of making things happen. Heaven will back you up when you turn one of the keys.

Citizens of the Kingdom have a responsibility to learn the words of the Bible. We need to read it often, because we tend to forget what it says. We need to read it more often than we read the newspaper. When the devil attacked Yahashua in the wilderness, His responses came straight from Scripture. He said, “It is written…” (See Luke 4:1-13.) Those words were His keys to the Kingdom and victory.

Yahashua said “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner” (John 5:19). He exercised the keys of Kingdom authority better than anybody before or since. Yet He, true Prince that He is, wants nothing more than for the citizens of His Kingdom to exercise those same keys.

You need to do only two things:

Seek the Kingdom in order to get into citizenship

Seek the King’s righteousness in order to stay in it. In other words, stay aligned with the King.

When you stay aligned with the King and His government, you obligate Him to take care of you. All of the promises in the constitution remain accessible to you, as needed. Things that you would otherwise need to fight for will come your way with no sweat. That is why the Scripture reads, “Seek first the kingdom of Yah and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Having all these things added means you will have a lot of unwanted things subtracted, things like bad health, stress, and anxiety.

You should not be living to make a living. Your priority should not be working and living just to earn enough money to pay your bills. Yahashua has another perspective on such things. He says, “take no thought for them” (See Matthew 6:34). Instead of fretting about food and clothing and adding to an endless list of prayer requests, why not take His advice?

LET ME READ YOU, YOUR RIGHTS!!!!!!

After the invasion of Iraq by the military forces of the United States and the other alliance nations, the first objective after toppling Saddam Hussein was to create a new nation. It is interesting to note that the first order of business was to construct a constitution, and it took months for that exercise to be completed. The process of nation building could not proceed until that document called the constitution was completed and accepted by all the principals involved.

The heart of all nations, empires, and kingdoms is the constitution. There is no nation or kingdom without a constitution. In a republic, the constitution is the covenant the people make with themselves and which they hire by vote, a governing body to keep that covenant for them and with them. In a kingdom, the constitution is the king’s covenant with his citizens and his kingdom. In the case of the former, the constitution is produced by the aspirations of the people, while in the latter case the constitution is initiated by the king and contains the aspirations and desires of the king for his citizens and his kingdom. This is the primary distinction between a kingdom and a democratic republic. For example, the Constitution of the United States begins with the words, “We the people….”

However, when reading the constitution of the Kingdom of The Most High Yah as documented in the Scriptures, it always says, “I, the Lord, say…”

Like every other governmental system, every kingdom has a constitution. The constitution of any nation has to do with the manner in which the government of that nation is organized, particularly with regard to the way sovereign power is exercised. It embodies the basic laws and principles that guide that government and lays out the specific powers and duties of that government in relation both to the people and to other nations and governments. A constitution also delineates, guarantees, and protects the specific rights of the people who live under its jurisdiction.

Regardless of the type of government, a constitution is established by whoever exercises power. In a totalitarian state or a dictatorship, the supreme leader, along with a ruling elite of cronies appointed by him, determine the laws and conditions under which the people live—laws usually designed for their own benefit and enrichment at the people’s expense.

In a republic or democracy, on the other hand, power lies with the people. They elect leaders to represent them and then petition those leaders to enact laws and policies that will benefit the electorate. In a democracy the leaders are answerable to the people. Those who fail to perform adequately or who violate the people’s trust can be voted out and replaced. Through their elected leaders, the people establish their own constitution.

As noted earlier, a kingdom is different. In a kingdom all power resides in the king. It is the king, therefore, who establishes the constitution for his kingdom. The constitution of a kingdom is the documented will, purposes, and intent of the king. It expresses the king’s personal desires for his kingdom and sets out the principles under which the kingdom will operate as well as establishing the manner and conditions of how the king will relate to his people and them to him. A kingdom constitution is stamped with the essence of the nature, character, and personality of the king. This is why it is always good to have a king who is righteous, benevolent, and compassionate, with a genuine concern for the welfare of his citizens.

A ROYAL CONTRACT

In a kingdom, the constitution is a royal contract that the king has with his subjects—his citizens. It is not the contract that the citizens have with the king, and this is a very important distinction. In the first, the contract originates with the king and in the second, with the people. A contract generated by the people is a democracy, the complete opposite of a kingdom. A royal contract, on the other hand, originates completely and exclusively in the heart, mind, and will of the king. His citizens have no input concerning the terms or conditions of the contract.

This is the approach the King of Heaven has always taken with mankind. When The Most High Yah began to establish a Kingdom colony on earth, He set out all the conditions and parameters beforehand. Everything was already in place by the time Adam arrived on the scene. All Adam had to do was follow the terms and conditions that The Most High Yah had already established:

Then The Most High Yah said, “Let Us make man in Our image, in Our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So The Most High Yah created man in His own image, in the image of The Most High Yah He created him; male and female He created them. The Most High Yah blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground” (Genesis 1:26-28).

Now the Lord The Most High Yah had planted a garden in the east, in Eden, and there He put the man He had formed…. The Lord The Most High Yah took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the Lord The Most High Yah commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die (Genesis 2:8,15-17).

As you can see, this entire contractual process was completely unilateral on The Most High Yah’s part. Adam had no input at all; in fact, when the contract was drawn up, he wasn’t even around yet! After he was created, Adam simply received the completed contract from the hand of the King.

The same is true regarding The Most High Yah’s contract with Abraham. First, The Most High Yah determined what He was going to do and then presented Abraham with the completed contract:

The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great , and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you” (Genesis 12:1-3).

After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”…He took him outside and said, “Look up at the heavens and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then He said to him, “So shall your offspring be” (Genesis 15:1,5).

Such unilateralism on The Most High Yah’s part is an expression of His sovereignty. To both Adam and Abraham (Abram) The Most High Yah was saying, “This is My government; this is the agreement I am making with you. You don’t dictate the terms or tell Me what you want. I tell you what I want for you and what I will do for you.” A kingdom constitution is initiated by the king, from the king, and for the king’s pleasure.

A kingdom constitution, then, is the document that constitutes the king’s desire for his citizens. In a republic, the constitution is the people’s contract with themselves, while in a kingdom it is the king’s contract for the people. In a democracy, the people plan and decide what they want to happen to them. But in a kingdom, the people have no say. Instead, the king tells you what he wants to happen to you.

This is why The Most High Yah would make a statement like:

For I know the plans I have for you…plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me , and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. I will be found by you… (Jeremiah 29:11-14).

So the Kingdom constitution states the King’s desires for His citizens. And because He is a righteous and benevolent King, His desires are always for our greatest good and benefit. The King of heaven wants to bless us; He wants blessings to overtake us. We are always trying to tell The Most High Yah what to do, especially today: “Here’s what I want, here’s what I want, here’s what I want….” But The Most High Yah says, “In this Kingdom, I make the contracts.”

THE KING’S WILL AND TESTAMENT

In addition to being a royal contract, the constitution in a kingdom constitutes the expressed will of the king. It is the king’s will expressed in tangible, written form. This means that the constitution is not limited to an oral contract. Putting the constitution in written form sets it up as a standard that can be measured easily as well as making its terms and conditions clear to everyone. This is why in the Kingdom of Heaven we have a book called the Bible. The Bible is the expressed will of the King in written form. It is the constitution of His Kingdom.

As we have already seen, the words of the king become the law of the land. His words do not produce the contract; his words are the contract. And out of this contract—this constitution—comes the law. The constitution is not the law; the constitution produces the law. What I mean is that the constitution establishes the terms, conditions, and rights of life in the kingdom. This leads to laws designed with the express purpose of ensuring that all of those terms, conditions, and rights are preserved, protected, and accomplished.

The constitution is the will and the testament of the king for his citizens. Will and testament are two different but related words that are both important. A will is what is in the mind of a person—his or her desire and intent. A testament is the physical documentation of a person’s will, codifying his or her desire and intent in the form of a legal document. A will, then, is in your head; a testament is when you write down what is in your head. This is why lawyers always ask, “Do you have a will and testament?” The written testament clarifies to all parties your desire and intent and makes them verifiable in a courtroom.

That is why I call the Bible the constitution of the Kingdom of heaven. It is even divided into two sections called the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Bible, then, comprises The Most High Yah’s documented thoughts concerning His citizens—His expressed will, desire, and intent for the human race He created in His own image. A will kept in one’s head can never be defended in court. It is for this reason that The Most High Yah commanded Moses and all the other prophets in the Bible to write. He wanted a testament that could be tested or contested in the court of the universe. So we take the Bible and we bring it before the court of the universe and say, “This is what my King guaranteed me.” Then the King says, “According to My word, be it done unto you.”

A testament provides protection from the abuse of rights. It protects the rights of the beneficiaries of the will. If all you have is a will, how can anyone know what you want for your beneficiaries? You know what you want, but what if you die suddenly? How will your beneficiaries be protected and receive the benefits you desire for them unless your will is written down and documented legally? That is the purpose of a testament. A testament can be contested in a courtroom. There is no doubt as to what you meant.

The Word of The Most High Yah, written down and printed in the book we call the Bible, is the most powerful document we have. It is the constitution of the Kingdom of Heaven, the testament of the will of the King for His citizens.

SEVEN PRINCIPLES OF THE KINGDOM CONSTITUTION

1. The source of the constitution is the king, not the citizens. Whereas the Constitution of the United States begins with the words, “We the people…” the constitution of The Most High Yah’s Kingdom says, “I, the Lord…” We who live in democratic states can always amend our constitution because we, the people, created it. But we cannot change The Most High Yah’s constitution because we didn’t write it.

That is why I believe the biggest conflict in the coming years will be between the Kingdom and religion. Religious people keep trying to adjust The Most High Yah’s constitution. They debate it and discuss it and become embarrassed or angry over parts they don’t like. Sometimes they even change it or water it down to make it more palatable for modern spiritual tastes. This is absolute foolishness. The King of Heaven established the constitution for His Kingdom and only He can change it. But He won’t. He is eternally unchanging, and so is His Word, because the King and His Word are the same. It says so right in the constitution:

The Lord is King for ever and ever; the nations will perish from His land (Psalm 10:16).

But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations (Psalm 33:11).

Your throne, O The Most High Yah, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of Your kingdom (Psalm 45:6).

But You, O Lord, sit enthroned forever; Your renown endures through all generations (Psalm 102:12).

Your word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens (Psalm 119:89).

Long ago I learned from Your statutes that You established them to last forever (Psalm 119:152).

The Word of the King is unchanging and unchangeable. Yet hardly a day goes by without some religious leader somewhere going on some talk show or on a cable news channel and expounding his or her “opinion” about issues of the day that the Bible addresses plainly. When asked about gay rights or gay marriage or abortion or the like, they speak as if these and other matters are open to debate. In religion, perhaps, they are. But not in the Kingdom of Heaven.

In my travels, I am asked frequently to respond to these kinds of questions. I always frame my answer from a Kingdom perspective. A typical interchange might go something like this:

“Dr. J, what do you think about homosexuality? What are your thoughts regarding abortion?”

“I have no thoughts about those things.”

“But…you are supposed to be a woman of The Most High Yah.”

“I have no thoughts about these things because an ambassador never gives his personal opinion; it’s illegal. My personal opinion is out of bounds. Others who represent a religion may express their opinions. But I do not represent a religion—not even Christianity. I represent a government—the Kingdom of Heaven. I am an ambassador, and ambassadors do not give their opinion. However, my government’s position is…” and then I quote from the constitution—the Bible.

In the Kingdom of Heaven, we do not have the privilege of tampering with the constitution. It is not our document; it is the King’s. And Kingdom citizens obey the law of the King.

2. The constitution contains the benefits and privileges of the citizens. It spells out the advantages that come with being a Kingdom citizen as well as everything the citizens can expect from the King. In the Bible, these often take the form of promises. Here are just a few:

Do not worry, saying, “What shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink?” or “What shall we wear?” For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well (Matthew 6:31-33).

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened (Matthew 7:7-8).

For The Most High Yah so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).

I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life (John 5:24).

Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in The Most High Yah; trust also in Me. In My Father’s house there are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am (John 14:1-3).

Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in My name, there am I with them (Matthew 18:19-20).

Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom (Luke 12:32).

Each of these benefits, or promises, was spoken by Yahashua, the Son of The Most High Yah who came to earth in human flesh to announce the return and restoration of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.

3. The king obligates himself to the tenets of the constitution. A king and his word are the same, and when he speaks, his word becomes the constitution. So when a king’s word is spoken (or written down), the king is obligated to carry it out. That is why the Bible states that whatever The Most High Yah says, He will do and whatever He promises, He will bring to pass. Once the King of heaven speaks, it is as good as done. The Most High Yah cannot fail to keep His Word, for if He did, He would cease to be The Most High Yah.

4. The constitution contains the rights established by the king for the citizens. In addition to the benefits and privileges accruing to Kingdom citizens, the constitution also delineates and sets forth their rights. Rights in a constitution are important because they are the grounds for making law, which is the next stage. If I said to you, “I give you my car, my house, and my boat,” I have just expressed my will. If I then document it on paper, it becomes a testament and your constitution. Now I have to make sure that laws exist to protect what I gave you. At that point, I would call in a lawyer to draw up a formal document because a lawyer knows the law of the environment to protect the piece of paper that states my will for you. The lawyer reads it and makes sure it is in a certain form where it becomes integrated into the system of society with the rights to protect it.

Then, if someone contests it, you can go to court. The court is the law, and the court says, “This is a legal document. Everything written here he has a right to receive.” So the constitution contains your rights, and the laws protect them. Therefore, the constitution is the source of law; it is not the law itself.

If The Most High Yah says, “I will bless you, I will prosper you, I will make your name great…” That's the constitution. If He then says, “…if you obey Me and keep My word, and walk uprightly,” He has given you laws that set the conditions for the benefits and privileges to apply. The government says you are free to do commerce, to lease, to buy property, etc., as long as you pay taxes, do not break the law, obey the social order, and respect people’s property. They give you all these constitutional rights, but they are contingent upon your honoring the laws. The Kingdom of Heaven is no different.

5. The constitution cannot be changed by the citizens—only by the king. This principle should be perfectly clear by now and needs no further elaboration.

6. The constitution is the reference for life in the kingdom. How are Kingdom citizens supposed to live? What are the values, the ethics, the moral code, and standards of behavior for citizens of the Kingdom, and where can they be found? In the constitution. The Most High Yah’s standards for life in His Kingdom are found throughout the Bible. Such standards as these:

You shall have no other The Most High Yahs before Me. You shall not make for yourself an idol. You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your The Most High Yah….Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy….Honor your father and your mother….You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. You shall not covet… (Exodus 20:3-17).

And:

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see The Most High Yah. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of The Most High Yah. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:3-10).

7. The constitution contains the statutes of the kingdom. Statutes are fixed, predictable standards. “Teach me Your statutes,” King David of Israel says. Normally, where the word “statutes” shows up, you will find “laws” in the same sentence. Statutes give the physical image of law. That’s why we call a carving in stone a statue. Or we call it an image. Image is the same as a statue. A statue is permanent. A statue means simply a fixed, predictable image or standard. Think about a statue in your town. When it rains does the statue change? What if it snows? What if the temperature tops 100 degrees? If you spit on it, curse it, hate it, does the statue change? Of course not. It remains the same no matter what.

A statute is the same way. That is why laws are called statutes. A statute does not adjust itself to the times. A statute does not accommodate the environment. It remains consistent within the changing environment. A statute is not affected by the conditions around it. Some people think the constitution of the Kingdom of Heaven needs to be changed or “reinterpreted” to accommodate modern times, values, and mores. On the contrary, the Kingdom constitution is an unchanging standard against which all modern values, mores, beliefs, and ideas must be measured. Without some dependable, righteous, unchanging standard, society will collapse. We can see signs of it all around us.

The constitution contains the statutes of the Kingdom. One time Yahashua said these words: “Heaven and earth will pass away before My statutes change. I will move the heavens and the earth before I move My statutes” (see Luke 16:17; 21:33). Who are we to dare to think that we have the right or the authority to change or set aside the statutes that the King of Heaven has set in place? Religious people can do that any time they want, because they are not really in the Kingdom. Kingdom citizens, however, cannot. Our constitution says, “The word of the Lord stands forever” (1 Pet 1:25a).

PRINCIPLES

1. Every kingdom has a constitution.

2. The constitution of a kingdom is the documented will, purposes, and intent of the king.

3. In a kingdom, the constitution is a royal contract that the king has with his subjects—his citizens.

4. A kingdom constitution is the document that constitutes the king’s desire for his citizens.

5. The constitution in a kingdom constitutes the expressed will of the king.

6. The Bible is the expressed will of the King in written form. It is the constitution of His Kingdom.

7. The words of the king become the law of the land.

8. The constitution is the will and the testament of the king for his citizens.

9. The Bible comprises The Most High Yah’s documented thoughts concerning His citizens—His expressed will, desire, and intent for the human race He created in His own image.

The Ten Commandments!!! Part 3!!!!

Exodus chapter 20

Today we are walking in: The Ten Commandments!! Part 3!!!!

Today we look to the word- LOVE- H157 'ahab--to love, human love for another, includes family, human appetite for objects such as food, drink, sleep, wisdom, human love for or to Yah, act of being a friend, Yah's love toward man: to individual men, to people Israel, to righteousness, lovely (participle), loveable (participle), friends, to like.

The Torah testifies...............

Deuteronomy 5:10

And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love H157 me and keep my commandments.

The prophets proclaim..................

Joshua 22:5

But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love H157 the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

The writings bear witness...........................

Psalms 119:127

Therefore I love H157 thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

Example 2: The Fourth Commandment

The Fourth Commandment is given in Exodus 20:8-11. Let’s look closely at these passages, to see what they are actually saying:

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates: 11 For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it [set it apart]. (Exodus 20:8-11)

In this command, The Most High Yah tells us that we are to remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy [set-apart as special unto Him], in certain, specified ways. We see most of the Sabbath Day basics in the above Exodus 20:8-11 passage, and a few other details in other Bible passages.

In verse 8, we see that The Most High Yah first tells us to remember to keep the Sabbath Day set-apart as ‘holy’ — that is, to keep it separate from all the other ‘common’ days of the week.

In verse 9, The Most High Yah tells us that we are to do all our week’s work in six days.

Then in verse 10, we see the reason we are to do our work in six days — because the seventh day is designated as The Most High Yah’s Sabbath Day, in which we are not allowed to do any work, nor are we to require anyone else, including work animals, to work for us.

In verse 11, we then see the reason The Most High Yah gives for our honoring the Sabbath Day. We are told that The Most High Yah Himself worked six days in creating the heavens and the earth, and then The Most High Yah Himself rested on the seventh day, and set that day apart as ‘holy,’ and separate from the six work days.
Which Day is the Sabbath Day?

It is interesting to note that remnants of The Most High Yah’s Sabbath Day can be seen in all cultures down through history, and that the seventh day, is called ‘Sabbath’ [or some slight variation thereof] in many languages worldwide.

According to historians, the ‘Jewish’ Sabbath Day was known in ancient, pagan Rome as “the Day of Saturn,” and is called Saturday in modern times. Through corruption of man-made doctrines, many Religious groups today have their own sabbath days, but The Most High Yah’s Sabbath Day remains unchanged.

The apostle Paul tells us that the Oracles of The Most High Yah were committed to the Jews, for our profit [to be a light and witness to the world]. It is interesting to note, that in order to confirm which day of the week the ancient Sabbath Day fell upon, we need not go back any earlier than when Messiah walked on the earth.

Yahushua Messiah Himself did not sin, so we know He observed the true Sabbath Day of The Most High Yah. Note that He observed the same Sabbath Day as did the Jews — which over a time span of 2,000 years, down to the present day, has not changed at all. The true Sabbath Day remains the same to this day — as attested to every Saturday, by every Jewish synagogue in the land!

Despite calendar changes that designate Sunday as the seventh day, and despite corruptions introduced by Rome, the true Sabbath Day remains as a witness that The Most High Yah is indeed the Creator, and that The Most High Yah continues to have a remnant of those who continue to honor The Most High Yah, by keeping His Sabbath Day holy.

It is said that those who do not observe The Most High Yah’s Sabbath Day, are giving testimony that they do not believe in The Most High Yah as Creator! Might it be true, that those Believers who do not observe The Most High Yah’s Sabbath Day, are teaching evolution — simply by the testimony of their example of not observing the Creator’s Sabbath Day?

What does this mean for Believers today, in a practical sense?

When we consider the Fourth Commandment, here is a summary of some truths to consider:

The Fourth Commandment: Truths to Consider

The Most High Yah calls His people to remember to keep the Sabbath Day holy, in the ways He has specified;

The Most High Yah’s true Sabbath Day is the seventh day;

The seventh day is today called Saturday;

On the seventh day [Saturday] we are not allowed to do any work ourselves, nor are we to require anyone else — including employees, service personnel [waiters], or work animals — to work for us;

Messiah tells us, “If you love me, keep my commandments.” Since it was the pre-incarnate Messiah Himself who gave the commandment to keep His sabbaths, our response to this commandment reveals who loves Him, and who does not love Him.

When we consider the above truths of what the Fourth Commandment is telling us, we now face a decision.

Will we choose to follow The Most High Yah, by obedience to His Word — or will we choose to follow some Religious group’s Sabbath, by obedience to their words? The apostle Paul tells us that whose Commandments we choose to obey, reveals which master we have chosen to serve (Romans 6:15-17; Joshua 24:15).

If we choose not to observe The Most High Yah’s Sabbath Day, even though we may gather for religious worship on some other day, then we are in disobedience to the 4th Commandment, which according to the apostle John, is sin (1John 3:4).

Like Messiah’s Disciples, we may gather together in Messiah’s name every day of the week, but we are still called upon to observe The Most High Yah’s Sabbath Day.

If we choose to observe The Most High Yah’s Sabbath Day, but in a way other than as He specifies, then we are in disobedience to the 4th Commandment, which according to the apostle John, is sin (1John 3:4).

If we choose to work on Saturday, then we are in disobedience to the 4th Commandment, which is sin (1John 3:4).

Again, The Most High Yah does give us a choice. He watches us, to see whether we will follow Him, by careful obedience to what He has said in His Word — or whether we choose to follow our own dictates, choosing instead to remain in the convenience of our own lifestyle.

Again, Father is looking for a Bride for His son, and He is looking for hearts that are soft and teachable, and fully yielded to obedience to His Word.

What can we conclude? As the apostle Paul tells us (Romans 3:20b; Romans 7:7b), it is by the Torah [law] that we have knowledge of sin — so that we become aware of what sin is — so we can avoid committing sin

The Ten Commandments form the most basic list of commands that reveal to us what sin is. If we choose to disobey any of these commands, we know we have transgressed the Law — we have committed a sin (1John 3:4).

In this example, we have seen what the Fourth Commandment is, and some of the details of how to observe The Most High Yah’s Sabbath Day.

We have also seen how our sin is revealed to us, when we compare what we are currently doing, against what The Most High Yah has said in His Word, about the Fourth Commandment.

When we as Born-Again Believers read the Ten Commandments, we may cloak ourselves in willful ignorance, but we cannot hide from the eyes of The Most High Yah, whose eternal rewards [‘recompense’] will be according to what we have done (2Cor 5:10; Rev 2:23, 26), regarding our obedience to His Word.

It is for this reason that Messiah continues to call out to us today, calling lovingly [and repeatedly] to His Blood-Redeemed Ones, to repent — to cease walking in our own ways of disobedience to Messiah’s Commandments, and begin to walk in obedience to His Word (Rev 2:1 – Rev 3:22; Isaiah 44:22).
If You Love Me: The Goal Is Love

When Yahushua Messiah was asked which is the greatest Commandment (Matthew 22:36-40), He answered by stating the two greatest Commandments found in Torah:

“Love The Most High Yah” (Deuteronomy 6:5)

“Love Your Neighbor” (Leviticus 19:18)

It is important for us to understand, that all the Commandments in Scripture do not ‘boil down’ to just these two Commandments, such that all the rest have somehow disappeared.

Instead, notice that the two ‘Love’ commandments above, quoted from the Torah by Messiah, are seen simply as categories or ‘headings’ from which all the other commandments descend or hang.

This clue given by Messiah tells us that the Ten Commandments, as a whole, can be seen be in two parts, coming under the two Great Commandments as two main ‘headings’ or summaries:

The Ten Commandments: Two Parts

Love The Most High Yah (Deut 6:5)

Commandment #1

Commandment #2

Commandment #3

Commandment #4

Love Your Neighbour (Lev 19:18)

Commandment #5

Commandment #6

Commandment #7

Commandment #8

Commandment #9

Commandment #10

Notice that the first 4 Commandments are in the First Group. These describe how we are to love The Most High Yah.

Notice that the last 6 Commandments are in the Second Group. These describe how we are to love our neighbour.

These two groups of Commandments tell us how we are to love The Most High Yah, and how we are to love our neighbor, in the ways that The Most High Yah has defined for us:

Those who choose to love The Most High Yah, will choose to obey the first 4 Commandments.

Those who choose to love their neighbor, will choose to obey the last 6 Commandments.

Those who choose to love The Most High Yah and their neighbor, will choose to obey all Ten Commandments.

With this in mind, let’s see how ‘love’ is described in the Scriptures.

The apostle Paul tells us that the goal of our keeping Yahushua’s Commandments is “Love from a pure heart” (1Tim 1:5). Our goal is to love Yahushua, and to love the Brethren. But then the apostle John tells us, “This is love — to walk according to His Commandments” (2John 1:6). Here we see Paul and John both confirming what is said in the 2nd Commandment (Exodus 20:6), that to love Him is to keep His commandments.

Yahushua reminds us, “If you love me, keep MY Commandments” (John 14:15). And so we see everywhere in the Scriptures, that love is measured by our voluntary obedience to The Most High Yah’s Commandments.

Let us remember, these are all The Most High Yah’s Commandments, which Yahushua Messiah spoke. Thus if we truly love Yahushua, we will begin to keep His Commandments, beginning with the most basic ones Messiah spoke to Moses — the Ten Commandments.
My Sayings

The Ten Commandments seen above are only a small part of the overall collection of statutes, commandments, precepts, laws, judgments, ordinances, testimonies, words, and sayings which Messiah has spoken from The Beginning [from the Book of Genesis onward]. The Commandments of God are not considered to be only ten, or 613, or any specific number, but are seen in Scripture as the ‘voice’ of God, and consist of ‘every word’ that proceeds from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4; Luke 4:4).

Taken together, all of Messiah’s statutes, commandments, precepts, laws, judgments, testimonies, words, and sayings, are eternal, and they speak of Father’s eternal, unchanging will. They tell us The Most High Yah’s definition of how we are to be holy, and how we are to walk in His ways. They also tell us of those things in which He delights, and of those things He considers abomination. It is from all of His Words, that we learn His Ways.

And as we continue to observe His Ways, and as we become obedient to His Words, He causes us to grow in our love for Him. We begin to love what He loves, and to hate what He hates. We thus come to know Him, as we walk with Him, day-by-day.

These Ten Commandments are more than simply broad categories of commandments seen throughout the Scriptures. They are also literal Commandments that express Father’s will, as ‘House Rules’ for His children.
House Rules for His Children

The external commandments were given as a ‘schoolmaster,’ to accomplish two objectives. First, they were given to bring conviction of sin to us, that we might realize our need for a Saviour, and run to Messiah for salvation (Gal 3:24); and second, to train Father’s children in how to live according to Father’s House Rules, and according to Father’s Ways.

As Father writes His external Torah on the inward tables of our hearts, and as we become more obedient, we come to rely less and less on the external schoolmaster, instead relying on the conviction of the Holy Spirit to illuminate and bring to our remembrance all the Words of the Covenant written on the heart (Gal 3:25). It is the rebellious children that abandon all that the Schoolmaster taught; and it is the strange woman [estranged congregation of Believers] that forsakes the Schoolmaster, and forgets The Most High Yah’s Covenant (Proverbs 2:17).

We might ask, “How does Father train His children to keep His Torah and His judgments, His statutes and His Commandments?”

In the Psalms, Father tells us the answer. Speaking prophetically of Yahushua Messiah, and of His children — the Born-Again Believers of today — notice what Father tells us:

Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. 28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. 29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven. 30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments; 31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments; 32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. 33 Nevertheless my loving kindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. (Psalms 89:27-33)

In the above passage, we see how the Born-Again, Holy-Spirit-filled Believers, as children of Messiah, will undergo the discipline of a loving Father. Here we are told that Father will visit our transgression with the rod, and our iniquity with stripes, if we break Father’s statutes, and refuse to walk in His judgments — that is, if we forsake His Law [Torah], and do not keep His Commandments.

Perhaps many of the troubles we go through in life may result from our continuing to listen to Preachers and other Spiritual Leaders who tell us we need not ‘keep the Law,’ and thus we become disobedient. Many spiritual Leaders today tell their followers it is not necessary to pay attention to The Most High Yah’s Commandments. Those Leaders who contradict the Scriptures are leading their followers to what the apostle Paul calls ‘shipwreck of the Faith’ (1Timothy 1:19), and what Yahushua tells us is a ‘house built upon the sand’ (Matthew 7:26).
Ruling and Reigning in the Kingdom

Let’s look briefly in Scripture, to see who obeys the Ten Commandments, and who does not obey them. To see this, let’s fast-forward in time, to have a prophetic glimpse of what each group has as their future destination.

Our first picture is of those who overcome all the obstacles, because they have been given patience and endurance:

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus (Revelation 14:12).

These are called saints who have patience and endurance at the end time. Notice that the saints are described as those who do keep the Commandments of The Most High Yah, and [‘which is’] the Faith of Yahushua.

We see yet another picture of those who do keep the Commandments of The Most High Yah:

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. (Revelation 22:14)

In the above passage, we are told of those who become “DO-ers” of His commandments, ‘that’ [in order that] they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city [the New Jerusalem, the City of the King].

Notice that the above passage clearly tells us that having right to the Tree of Life, and entering-in through the gates into the City, are both dependent upon doing His Commandments!

Now let’s look at the next verse in this passage, to see those who do not keep His Commandments:

For without [outside the city] are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie (Revelation 22:15).

In the above two verses, we are first told of those who are allowed to enter into the New Jerusalem — they that DO His commandments. We are then given a description of those who will not be allowed into the New Jerusalem, the City of the King — they that were disobedient to His commandments.

Those that must remain outside the City include those who had been redeemed by Messiah, but continued to be disobedient to the Commandments spoken by Messiah — which is all of Torah. The prophetic picture of this as applying to Believers today, is clearly seen in (Isaiah 44:22), where all His Redeemed ones are exhorted to return to Father. We return to Father, simply by obedience to His Word (Deut 4:30; 30:2,8).

From the above passages, we see that only those who keep Yahushua’s Commandments [which are His Father’s Commandments (John 14:24)], will be allowed into the City of the King, to rule with Him [Yahushua], and to reign with Him.
Conclusion

We have seen that the Ten Commandments are Father’s Commandments, and yet they are Messiah’s Commandments. We have seen that Messiah, as the Word of The Most High Yah, spoke the Ten Commandments, and wrote them with His own finger, and gave them to Moses.

We have seen that the Ten Commandments form a small part of the many Commandments spoken by Messiah. We have seen the importance of the Commandments to reveal sin, and the importance of walking in obedience to the Commandments, in order to show our love for Messiah.

We have seen that Messiah’s sayings [all of Father’s Commandments] make up a part of Father’s House Rules. We have fast-forwarded to the future, to see who will keep these commandments, and who will not keep them.

Beloved, over the past 2,000 years we have lost sight of who it was that spoke the Ten Commandments. Let us re-gain that understanding, so that we might choose to return to Him, and to love Him, by keeping His Commandments!

Many Believers today have not yet realized that Messiah is the WORD of The Most High Yah, who spoke to Abraham, and to Moses, and to all the Prophets — and that Messiah’s words include all the Commandments of the Law [Torah].

And so it is, that Messiah continues to cry out to His Born-again children today, asking this question:

And why do you call me, Master, Master, and do not do the things which I say? (Luke 6:46)

Dear Fiveamprayer, What are the Ten Commandments?

They are Messiah’s Commandments to us today!

If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15
