We are walking in today:  Weekend Meditation –Yom Kippur

Here are the next 10 principles of the Lord God Almighty.  This arrangement of the 613 principles, the law of our Lord God Almighty, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is from the book by Rabbi Ralph Messer, Torah: Law Or Grace? Kingdom Principles For Kingdom Living.  This book can be ordered online here or in the store if you are in the Denver area here.

The Second Commandment Exodus 20:4-5 You shall have no other gods before Me.  You shall not make yourself a carved image nor any likeness of that which is in the heavens above or on the earth below or in the water beneath the earth.  You shall not prostrate yourself to nor worship them, for I am the LORD your God--a jealous God
.

104. You shall not plant your field with mixed seed. --Leviticus 19:19
Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.

105. You shall not turn to the sorcery of the Ovot or Yid'onim --Leviticus 19:31
Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.

107. A Kohen shall not become unclean for the dead, except for a close relative --Leviticus 21:1
And the Lord said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his people:

108. A Kohen shall become unclean for a close relative who has died --Leviticus 21:2-3 2 But for his kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother. 3 And for his sister a virgin, that is nigh unto him, which hath had no husband; for her may he be defiled.

109. A Kohen shall not desecrate the Name of their God --Leviticus 21:6
They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God: for the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and the bread of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy.

110. A Kohen shall not marry a woman who is a harlot --Leviticus 21:7

112. A Kohen shall not marry a woman who has been divorced --Leviticus 21:7

113. You shall sanctify the Kohanim --Leviticus 21:8
Thou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the Lord, which sanctify you, am holy.

We are walking in the 613 principles of the Torah or the first five books of the Bible--Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.  The 613 principles are the 10 commandments.  Each of the commandments has principles associated with it--for how we are supposed to live, eat, walk, talk, and treat our neighbors, and our bodies.  Most of the principles have already been accomplished by our Lord and Savior, but we are still accountable for 271 of these principles.  Each of the 10 commandments had principles associated with it.  Jesus, the Messiah is Jewish and tomorrow is Yom Kippur which is the holiest day of the Jewish calender.  It is a day of atonement.  It provides insight into the second coming of the Messiah.  This is the only day of the year that the high priest could enter the Holy of Holies to call upon the name of Yahweh to offer a blood sacrifice for the sins of the people.  Yom Kippur marks the end of the Days of Awe during which Jews ask forgiveness from friends, family and co-workers and it is a time of repentance with the Lord God.  We need to understand the sacrifice that Jesus Christ of Nazareth made for us to turn back to Almighty God.  We need to get on our knees, and pray without ceasing that we will return to the laws of our Father in Heaven.  We take the laws of our Father for granted and follow the laws of the world.  His kingdom is not of this world! We have to be transformed by the renewing of our minds!  Everything that He does is in decency and order.  Thank You gracious and mighty God for a day of atonement!  Ask for forgiveness, study and show yourself approved, and apply the knowledge!  Amen and Glory to His name!!!!  To hear this again click here.
