Grace, Reflection and Overview

Genesis 6:8; Exodus 34:6-7; John 10:30; Deuteronomy 6:4-6

We are walking in today:  Grace, Reflection and Overview

Thank you Pastor Wagner for bringing this overview and reflection of the book by Rabbi Ralph Messer, Torah: Law or GraceFiveamprayer, what kind of Bible did Jesus Christ, the Son of David have?  Was it an King James Bible or Catholic?  No, He had the Torah.  It is unfortunate that the word Torah was translated as law when it is actually teaching and instruction.  The Torah is essentially the first 5 books of the Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.  Also known as the Pentateuch.  What is often referred to the as the Old Testament is the Tanakh, which includes the Torah, the Nevi'um (the major and minor prophets) and the Ketuvim (the writings--Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes...)  The first time that grace is seen in the Bible is Genesis 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.  Then we have Adonai telling us His characteristics in Exodus 34:6-7 6 And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, 7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.  So how did we get to this position?  That the Lord God of the Tanakh, did not show grace--when the first scripture that tells that grace was found in the eyes of the Lord God--Genesis 6:8.  Who gave us the idea that He would even appear to be against the Merciful Savior of Yeshua found in the New Testament or accurately said, the Brit Chadashah?  For we have from the mouth of Jesus Christ of Nazareth--John 10:30 I and my Father are one.  So how can Yahweh be against Yeshua?  They are the same, they are One! Deuteronomy 6:4-6 4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:  5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: We must know what is found in His word!  Fiveamprayer, have faith to believe the truth!
