The Law of the Mind, Part 27  Hebrew Thinking vs. Greek Mindset

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We come to give all the praise and glory to the Most High God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob--coms to teach us His good and right way.  For His hand is outstretched still that we would return to Him and the original plan, the Torah.  We have gone astray and followed the lies we have inherited and yet the truth comes to free us from the imaginations of mere men! Jeremiah 16:19 O Lord, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.  Fiveamprayer, the time has come and now is that we are being returned to truth as we come to study Hebraically and cast off the Greek mindset.

The Ancient picture is a type of "mark," probably of two sticks crossed to mark a place, similar to the Egyptian hieroglyph , a picture of two crossed sticks. This letter has the meanings of "mark," "sign" and "signature."

The Modern Hebrew, Arabic and Greek names for this letter is tav (or taw), a Hebrew word meaning, "mark." Hebrew, Greek and Arabic agree that the sound for this letter is "t."

Psalms 119:169 "Let my cry come near before Thee, O Lord: Give me understanding according to Thy word."

The subject here is "Petitions and statements." Let me cry for your promises according to Thy Word. Cry out from the soul. Its like that sometimes

Psalms 119:170 "Let my supplication come before Thee: Deliver me according to Thy word."

When you make a prayer and supplication of the Lord, make sure it is according to His Word. You must ask the Father exactly what you want Him to do for you. Study His Word, but ask Him to protect you. Ask Him to go before you when you are in a hostile environment. Don't just sit and complain, but be specific. Ask God for the strength and wisdom, and the protection as you live your life. Then don't doubt your prayers to Him.

Psalms 119:171 "My lips shall utter praise, when Thou hast taught me Thy statutes."

Will you remember to give God the praise when God answers your prayers?

Psalms 119:172 "My tongue shall speak of Thy word: For all Thy commandments are righteousness."

All of His Word is righteous.

Psalms 119:173 "Let Thine hand help me; For I have chosen Thy precepts."

Let Your hand help me because I have chosen your Word for my life. Your feet will run on that path at times.

Psalms 119:174 "I have longed for Thy salvation, O Lord; And Thy law is my delight."

Psalms 119:175 "Let my soul live, and it shall praise Thee; And let Thy judgments help me."

Let my soul live in all eternity, and my souls shall praise Thee. Salvation is not for the flesh, but for eternity. For that eternal being within your flesh body.

Psalms 119:176 "I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Thy servant: For I do not forget Thy commandments.

Now after all the teaching of the prior 175 verses, the Psalmist says, "I have gone astray like a lost sheep." David's request then is "Seek Thy servant: for I will continue to do Thy commandments." These sheep are all the lost sheep of the house of Israel, as well as all the lost sheep that come by adoption to Him. Remember that sheep cannot defend itself, but requires the Shepherd to watch out for it. If you are a sheep of our Lord then learn to depend on Him. He has promised that He will, but you need to ask for that protection.
The last study of this teaching on the Law of The Mind. Sums up to the word of God used as a guide to live and to approach the mind of God. To continue to walk as He has and will teach us. As the weekend meditation I strongly suggest during your Sabbath rest time, to go over the previous teachings. Because the mind is the battlefield that lays between the realm of the Kingdom of The Most High and the realm of man; this earth.

Nimrod (/ˈnɪm.rɒd/;[1] Hebrew: נִמְרוֹדֿ, Modern Nimrod, Tiberian Nimrōḏ Aramaic: ܢܡܪܘܕ‎‎ Arabic: النمرود, an-Namrood‎‎), a biblical figure described as a king of Shinar (Assyria/Mesopotamia), was, according to the Book of Genesis and Books of Chronicles, the son of Cush, the great-grandson of Noah. The Bible states that he was "a mighty hunter before the Lord [and] .... began to be mighty in the earth".[2] Extra-biblical traditions associating him with the Tower of Babel led to his reputation as a king who was rebellious against God. Genesis says that the "beginning of his kingdom" (reshit mamlakto) was the towns of "Babel, Erech, Akkad and Calneh in the land of Shinar" (Mesopotamia) (Gen 10:10)—understood variously to imply that he either founded these cities, ruled over them, or both. Owing to an ambiguity in the original Hebrew text, it is unclear whether it is he or Ashur who additionally built Nineveh, Resen, Rehoboth-Ir and Calah (both interpretations are reflected in various English versions). Sir Walter Raleigh devoted several pages in his History of the World (c. 1616) to reciting past scholarship regarding the question of whether it had been Nimrod or Ashur who built the cities in Assyria.[5]

Josephus wrote:
Now it was Nimrod who excited them to such an affront and contempt of God. He was the grandson of Ham, the son of Noah, a bold man, and of great strength of hand. He persuaded them not to ascribe it to God, as if it were through his means they were happy, but to believe that it was their own courage which procured that happiness. History & Reconstruction
The word tsad means "side," but is also related to the idea of a stronghold, which is often built on the side of a mountain. The pictograph is a picture of a trail as leading up to a destination or stronghold. Most ancient Semitic alphabets used pictographs which closely resemble, indicating that this was most likely the original form of the letter.

The modern name for this letter is tsade, also meaning side, and is a child root from the word tsad. The phonetic sound of this letter is a "ts" in both ancient and modern Hebrew.

The early pictograph evolved into in the Middle Semitic script and continued to evolve into in the Late Semitic Script. From the middle Semitic script came the Modern Hebrew צ and ץ. Modern Greek and Latin have no letter derived from this Semitic letter.

Modern Hebrew

Tsade is the 18th letter of the Aleph-Bet and its numerical value is 90. The pictograph looks something like a man on his side (representing needs), whereas the classical Hebrew script ( Ktav Ashurit) is constructed of a bent Nun with an ascending Yod. Tsade got its name from the shape of a fishing hook or perhaps a bird trap, which is to the tzad meaning to hunt, catch, and capture. Formed from the bent Nun and Vav. The Nun represents a humble and faithful servant and the crowned Vav that is bent in submission. The Yod looking like hands raised to the spirit of The Most High. Therefore Tsade is the Tzaddaki The righteous man trusting in the Most High to do His will.

Psalms 119:137 "Righteous art Thou, O Lord, And upright are Thy judgments."

This section of eight verses is titled "The Most High's word and the Psalmist". God is always fair in all His judgments. When it appears that He isn't, the problem is in your mind, not with God's judgments. You don't know what has happened to cause God to deal with this person harshly, to bring him to this time of testing. God will not rule over you, if you want to do stupid things, God will allow you to. Never doubt that God has a purpose in all that takes place.

Psalms 119:138 "Thy testimonies that Thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful."

Our Heavenly Father is always faithful to His Word. Even during times of testing, God still loves you and wants to put your feet back on the path of His Word.

Psalms 119:139 "My zeal hath consumed me Because mine enemies have forgotten Thy words."

This is saying, "I am speechless with resentment" Because mine enemies have forgotten Thy words." Today we call it righteous indignation.

Psalms 119:140 "Thy word is very pure: Therefore Thy servant loveth it."

The Word of God is the only pure and perfect thing in this world. What people call errors in the bible is nothing more than an organization, or translator trying to fit the Word to what they want it to say. The manuscripts are pure, the translations are not.

Psalms 119:141 "I am small and despised: Yet do not I forget Thy precepts."

When you are tired and down, that is the time to cry out for His hand, for it is there.

Psalms 119:142 "Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And Thy law is the truth."

Forever God's righteousness is present and near to you. God's law is the truth, it is the only thing that you can count on for direction in your life. It is given as a guidepost for your life. Don't listen to those that say the "law" is done away with. Jesus came to fulfill the law, and not one dot of the law has changed. Jesus death on the cross fulfilled the blood sacrifice ordinances for one and all times. The veil to the holy of holies was rent in two, and we can go directly to the Father in repentance, for that is why we pray our prayers in Jesus Name. We have faith to believe that His blood was sufficient to cover all our sins.

Psalms 119:143 "Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: Yet Thy commandments are my delights."

If you don't watch out, all the thoughts and troubles of this world can take hold of your mind. But if you keep focused on God's commandments, His promises, they become a delight to your soul. They give you peace of mind in troubled times.

Psalms 119:144 "The righteousness of Thy testimonies is everlasting: Give me understanding, and I shall live."

Again it is repeated, "The righteousness of Thy testimonies is everlasting:" His Word is true and endless. You can count on it. God's Word will give you direction for your life today, and peace of mind for the future and eternity. By living your life according to the Word, you should not only improve your life but those you live and work with. Is your neighborhood, and the world a better place because you were there? What kind of testimonies from the Word are you reflecting to others by the way you talk and the things you do? The mission we have here on earth is to help hold each other up, and not just holding ourselves up. Make your life meaningful and an inspiration to others, even for just one other person.

Black History Moment:   Dr. Huey P. Newton
Dr. Huey Percy Newton (February 17, 1942 – August 22, 1989) was an African-American political activist and revolutionary who, along with Bobby Seale, co-founded the Black Panther Party in 1966. He continued to pursue an education, eventually earning a Ph.D. in social philosophy. In 1989 he was shot and killed in Oakland, California. Newton was born in Monroe, Louisiana. He was the youngest of seven children of Armelia Johnson and Walter Newton, a sharecropper, and Baptist lay preacher. His parents named him after former Governor of Louisiana Huey Long. In 1945, the family migrated to Oakland, California, as part of the second wave of the Great Migration of African-Americans out of the South to the Midwest and West. During those long years in Oakland public schools, he states, "I did not have one teacher who taught me anything relevant to my own life or experience. Not one instructor ever awoke in me a desire to learn more or to question or to explore the worlds of literature, science, and history. All they did was try to rob me of the sense of my own uniqueness and worth, and in the process nearly killed my urge to inquire."
Newton graduated from Oakland Technical High School in 1959 without being able to read, although he later taught himself; The Republic by Plato was the first book he read. Newton also attended Merritt College, where he earned an Associate of Arts degree in 1966. He then attended San Francisco Law School, and the University of California at Santa Cruz, where he earned a bachelor's degree and, in 1980, a Ph.D. After Newton taught himself to read, he started questioning everything. In his autobiography, Revolutionary Suicide, he states: "Most of all, I questioned what was happening in my own family and in the community around me." This was the start of his involvement in the civil rights movement. Newton once wrote that he began his law studies to become a better criminal, although he said that he had been a "big-time fool" for having such narrow ambitions.

History & Reconstruction
The Semitic word pey means a "mouth" and there are several ancient Semitic pictographs believed to be this letter, none of which resemble a mouth. The only exception is the South Arabian pictograph. This pictograph closely resembles a mouth and is similar to the later Semitic letters for the letter pey.

This pictograph has the meanings of "speak" and "blow" from the functions of the mouth. This letter also means "edge" as the lips are at the edge of the mouth. There are two sounds for this letter, the stop "P" and the spirant "Ph" (f).

The early Semitic evolved to the letter in the middle Semitic scripts. The letter continued to evolve into the in the late Semitic script and the פ and ף (final pey) in the Modern Hebrew script. The middle Semitic became the Greek Π and the Latin P.

Modern Hebrew Definition of Pey

The 17th letter of the Aleph-Tov means “mouth” and by extension, “word,” “expression,” “vocalization,” “speech,” and “breath.”Pey follows the letter Ayin suggesting the priority of the eyes (understanding and awareness). Ayin gives insight Pey gives insight with expression. The Most High spoke what we know into existence, and since man was created in the image and likeness of The Most High. So the words we speak separate us from all other life on earth. Having the power to speak is a gift that should be used with discretion.

PE

Psalms 119:129 "Thy testimonies are wonderful: Therefore doth my soul keep them."

The subject title of this eight verse section under "PE" is "Guidance by the word." Guidance of your life by the Word of God. Men will say many good things about you to try and direct your life, but the Word of God will give you the instruction you need for all the problems that may arise in your life. If there is faith in His Word, there will be no doubt in the promises that He gives us from His Word.

Psalms 119:130 "The entrance of Thy words giveth light; It giveth understanding unto the simple."

The word "simple" in the old English, means "sincere", as opposed to crafty. If you are sincere in your studies, His Word will give you the light for your life.

Psalms 119:131 "I opened my mouth, and panted: For I longed for Thy commandments."

I was so hungry I was panting for the meat of God's Word. Many in the world today are running from church to church seeking the truth, and in many churches the truth from God's Word is just not presented as from the manuscripts. What you get is nothing more than man's traditions.

Psalms 119:132 "Look Thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, As Thou usest to do unto those that love Thy name."

In the manuscripts, "name" is given as "Word". So this becomes one of the ten words of the acrostic. Our Father's Word is His mercy, which is His loving kindness is upon you at any time that you call on His name and return you love to Him.

Psalms 119:133 "Order my steps in Thy word: And let not any iniquity have dominion over me."

God order me in the direction that my steps are to go.

Psalms 119:134 "Deliver me from the oppression of man: So will I keep Thy precepts."

Most all oppression comes from the hand and mind of men. They set up their idols, they business, their systems, their games and so on, that they attach more importance than God's precepts. Their life is full of idolatry that has placed above the hand of God.

Psalms 119:135 "Make Thy face to shine upon Thy servant; And teach me Thy statutes."

Again we are asked to tell God that we want to be taught. You have to seek the truth and ask Him for the wisdom to understand the statutes of His Word. You can study all the time, yet unless God's Spirit opens your mind to the truth, that understanding will not come.

Psalms 119:136 "Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not Thy law."

When we see the direction that this world is heading, with all the crime and disregard for their fellow men, it brings you to tears. This also refers back to that verse dealing with men's hands building idols and putting those religious forms before God's Word. All teaching that will not align with God's Word falls under those forms of idolatry.

William Edward Burghardt "W. E. B." Du Bois (pronounced /duːˈbɔɪz/ doo-boyz; February 23, 1868 – August 27, 1963) was an American sociologist, historian, civil rights activist, Pan-Africanist, author, and editor. Born in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, Du Bois grew up in a relatively tolerant and integrated community. After completing graduate work at the University of Berlin and Harvard, where he was the first African American to earn a doctorate, he became a professor of history, sociology and economics at Atlanta University. Du Bois was one of the co-founders of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in 1909.
Du Bois rose to national prominence as the leader of the Niagara Movement, a group of African-American activists who wanted equal rights for blacks. Du Bois and his supporters opposed the Atlanta compromise, an agreement crafted by Booker T. Washington which provided that Southern blacks would work and submit to white political rule, while Southern whites guaranteed that blacks would receive basic educational and economic opportunities. Instead, Du Bois insisted on full civil rights and increased political representation, which he believed would be brought about by the African-American intellectual elite. He referred to this group as the Talented Tenth and believed that African Americans needed the chances for advanced education to develop its leadership.
Racism was the main target of Du Bois' polemics, and he strongly protested against lynching, Jim Crow laws, and discrimination in education and employment. His cause included people of color everywhere, particularly Africans and Asians in colonies. He was a proponent of Pan-Africanism and helped organize several Pan-African Congresses to fight for independence of African colonies from European powers. Du Bois made several trips to Europe, Africa and Asia. After World War I, he surveyed the experiences of American black soldiers in France and documented widespread bigotry in the United States military.
Du Bois was a prolific author. His collection of essays, The Souls of Black Folk, was a seminal work in African-American literature; and his 1935 magnum opus Black Reconstruction in America challenged the prevailing orthodoxy that blacks were responsible for the failures of the Reconstruction Era. He wrote one of the first scientific treatises in the field of American sociology, and he published three autobiographies, each of which contains insightful essays on sociology, politics and history. In his role as editor of the NAACP's journal The Crisis, he published many influential pieces. Du Bois believed that capitalism was a primary cause of racism, and he was generally sympathetic to socialist causes throughout his life. He was an ardent peace activist and advocated nuclear disarmament. The United States' Civil Rights Act, embodying many of the reforms for which Du Bois had campaigned his entire life, was enacted a year after his death
