THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS - YOM TERUAH

VAYIQRA (LEVITICUS) 23:23–25

Today we are walking in: THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS | YOM TERUAH

TERUAH- H8643

Strong’s H8643 — תְּרוּעָה (teru’ah): Clamor, i.e. acclamation of joy or a battle-cry; especially clangor of trumpets, as an alarm.

Strong’s Concordance: alarm, blowing, joy, jubile, loud noise, rejoicing, shout(-ing), sound of trumpet, triumph.

BEMIDBAR (NUMBERS) 29:1

“And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have a holy assembly; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.”

THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS IS LIKE A LOUD SHOUT COMING FROM HEAVEN

The Feast of Trumpets on the Almighty’s calendar is the appointed season for us to come prayerfully before His holy presence with a “humble repentant heart that trembles at His Word” (see Yesha’yahu 66:2). The RUACH HA’QODESH, the RUACH of Truth, is getting our attention, sounding like a loud shofar blast, alerting us to take our focus off this perishing world and place it upon YAHUAH ELOHIYM who requires loving obedience to His Word and Commandments.

“The Feast of Trumpets points to the conclusion of the age. During this season there is a heightened awareness and urgency for the need of repentance.”

The three concluding biblical Holy Days beginning with the Feast of Trumpets point to the conclusion of the age. During this season there is a heightened awareness and urgency for the need of repentance. Prophecy is quickly being fulfilled; we are witnessing the rapid succession of diverse judgments. Scripture tells us that this end-time scenario will become more fierce, dramatic, and perilous as these judgments continue as “birth pains,” coming closer and closer, faster and faster together, as we approach the end of this present world, as we know it (Mattithyahu 24:8).

YAHUSHA said, “But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near … Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of A’dam” (Luqas 21:28, 36).

Our ELOHIYM and Savior’s voice is like a “loud heavenly trumpet,” a shofar blast urgently getting the attention of “those who have ears to hear what the RUACH is saying” in these last hours (Chazon 1:10; 2:7–3:22). The Almighty commissions His prophets and obedient servants, “Cry aloud, spare not; lift up your voice like a shofar, and show my people their transgression, and the house of Ya`aqov their sins!” (Yesha’yahu 58:1).

The Feast of Trumpets is as a loud shofar and shout from heaven beseeching the listening heart to, “Repent and turn from all disobedience and sin to escape the coming judgments.” The shofar is waking us up and calling us upward. It is high time to wholeheartedly turn to the holy ELOHIYM and Redeemer who says, “Be ye holy; for I am holy,” and “without holiness no man shall see YAHUAH” (Kepha Ri’shon 1:16; Ivriym 12:14).

It’s midnight, time is running out! We must “work out our salvation with fear and trembling,” “making every effort to be found at peace with Him without spot or blemish,” with our sins repented for and covered in our Savior’s atoning blood. “How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?” It is divinely decreed that “we must all appear before the judgment seat of MASHIACH, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.”

“Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, YAHUAH is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through YAHUSHA whom He has appointed…” (Philippiym 2:12; Kepha Sheniy 3:14; Ivriym 2:3; Qorintiym Sheniy 5:10; Ma’asiym 17:30–31).

“Don’t go back to sin and don’t look back to the world, both are under judgment. ‘Come out of her, My people!’” — Chazon 18:4

In the book of Chazon, the Apostle Yahuchanon heard our Savior’s voice that “sounded like a trumpet,” a shofar, proclaiming, “Come up hither, and I will show you things which must be hereafter” (Chazon 1:10; 4:1). We are seeing these prophesied judgments beginning to fall, magnifying the reality that the conclusion of the age is upon us.

In essence, our Savior is loudly expressing His urgent heart cry of passionate love for His redeemed remnant: “Repent and flee from your old sin nature and worldly desires. Don’t go back to sin and don’t look back to the world, both are under judgment. ‘Come out of her, My people,’ I don’t want you to share in the sins of the worldly” (Chazon 18:4).

Get your affections off this doomed world and wholeheartedly follow Me out of harm’s way. I redeemed you to be a holy people as “a bride who has made herself ready,” waiting for that last great shofar sound (Chazon 19:7).

As it is written, YAHUSHA Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the shofar of ELOHIYM, and the dead in MASHIACH will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet YAHUAH in the air, and so shall we ever be with YAHUAH (Tasloniqiym Ri’shon 4:16–17).

We are to have our ears pinned on the voice of our ELOHIYM and Savior who speaks to us through His Word and Commandments. The RUACH of Truth will lead us to obedience, “through the narrow gate … because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Mattithyahu 7:13–14).

At the end of the book of Chazon, YAHUSHA said, “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still” (Chazon 22:11).

Let us hear this shofar calling us to repent of the “sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto YAHUSHA, the author and finisher of our faith” (Ivriym 12:1–2). He alone will lead us victoriously out of this world and our sinful nature, into His glorious holy presence and eternal Kingdom.

“Thanks be unto ELOHIYM, which always causes us to triumph in MASHIACH,” over our flesh, sin, and the world (Qorintiym Sheniy 2:14).

TO HIM BE ALL PRAISE, HONOR, AND GLORY NOW AND FOREVER!

AWAKEN, YOU THAT ARE SLEEPING!!!!

Eph’siym (Ephesians) chapter 5

Today we are walking in: AWAKEN, YOU THAT ARE SLEEPING!

Eph’siym (Ephesians) 5:14

Wherefore he says, Awake you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Mashiach shall give you light.

AWAKE

Today we look to the word—AWAKE—H3364—yaqats—to awake (intransitively).

The Torah Testifies……….

Bereshiyth (Genesis) 9:24

And Noach awoke H3364 from his wine, and knew את eth what his younger son had done unto him.

Bereshiyth (Genesis) 28:16

And Ya’aqov awoke H3364 out of his sleep, and he said, Surely YAHUAH is in this place; and I knew it not.

Bereshiyth (Genesis) 41:4

And the ill favoured and leanfleshed kine did eat up את eth the seven well favoured and fat kine. So Phar’oh awoke H3364.

The Prophets Proclaim………

Shophetiym (Judges) 16:14

And she fastened it with the pin, and said unto him, The Pelishtiym be upon you, Shimshon. And he awoke H3364 out of his sleep, and went away with the pin of the beam, and with the web.

Melekiym Ri’shon (1 Kings) 3:15

And Shalomah awoke H3364; and, behold, it was a dream. And he came to Yerushalayim, and stood before the Ark of the Covenant of YAHUAH, and offered up ascending smoke offerings, and offered peace offerings, and made a feast to all his servants.

Chabaqquq (Habakkuk) 2:7

Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite you, and awake H3364 that shall vex you, and you shall be for booties unto them?

The Writings Witness………

Tehilliym (Psalms) 7:6

Arise, O YAHUAH, in your anger, lift up yourself because of the rage of my enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that you have commanded.

Tehilliym (Psalms) 57:8

Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

Tehilliym (Psalms) 78:65

Then YAHUAH awoke H3364 as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man that shouts by reason of wine.

Scripture has a message to those who are asleep: Wake up!

The Scriptures show us the symptoms of those who are awake, and of those still sleeping. It is in this manner that Scripture reveals what it means to “awaken” from sleep.

A brief look in Scripture shows certain truths of sleep, and of awakening from sleep. Here are a few basic Scripture principles of awakening from sleep.

Some Basic Awakening Principles for Us Today

“And Ya’aqov awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely YAHUAH is in this place; and I knew it not.” (Bereshiyth 28:16)

Here we see that while Ya’aqov was asleep, he had no awareness of the presence of YAHUAH. After he awakened from sleep, however, he was aware of the presence of YAHUAH.

This process happens likewise to us today when we awaken! We gain an awareness of His presence, and we begin to desire to walk in obedience to Him, wherever that may take us. Here is another:

“And she fastened it with the pin, and said unto him, The Pelishtiym be upon you, Shimshon. And he awaked out of his sleep, and went away with the pin of the beam, and with the web.” (Shophetiym 16:14)

Above, we see Shimshon gained strength when he awakened from his sleep. This pictures our spiritual strengthening when we awaken from our spiritual slumber. We become stronger in the Faith, and lose the fear of what others think of our walk with YAHUAH. Here is another:

“And YAHUAH ELOHIYM caused a deep sleep to fall upon A’dam, and he slept: and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof.” (Bereshiyth 2:21)

“So David took the spear and the cruse of water from Sha’ul’s bolster; and they got them away, and no man saw it, nor knew it, neither awaked: for they were all asleep; because a deep sleep from YAHUAH was fallen upon them.” (Shemu’el Ri’shon 26:12)

Here we see that YAHUAH puts a deep sleep on men, in order to accomplish His purposes. This is widespread today in the Body of Mashiach, as Mashiach is now removing from the sleeping Body those that will be fashioned into His Bride. Here is another:

“Slothfulness casts into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.” (Mishlei 19:15)

Here we see the principle that slothfulness in spiritual matters results in a deep sleep, the same as in natural matters. No Bridegroom would have a Bride who is well-trained in slothfulness. Here is another:

“Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink. For YAHUAH has poured out upon you the ruach of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers has He covered. And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a cepher that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray you: and he says, I cannot; for it is sealed: And the cepher is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray you: and he says, I am not learned. Wherefore YAHUAH said, Forasmuch as this people draw near Me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour Me, but have removed their heart far from Me, and their fear toward Me is taught by the precept of men.” (Yeshayahu 29:9-13)

Above, we see that YAHUAH puts a deep sleep even on His own people, preventing them from understanding His Word—when their actions of loving Him do not agree with their words. Because their obedience to Scripture is mixed with precepts and Doctrines of Men, they have received a “counterfeit” Faith in YAHUSHA, and not the true Renewed Covenant of Promise.

Be advised—the above condition persists within the vast majority of YAHUAH’s people today! Here is another:

“All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest. His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.” (Yeshayahu 56:9-10)

Above, we see that many of YAHUAH’s watchman-shepherds are walking in disobedience, so He has closed their eyes. They are asleep, and so the wolf is devouring the flock.

This condition forces the sheep to read Scriptures on their own, lest the Blind Leaders continue to lead them away from the true faith. Here is another:

“Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house comes, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.” (Marqus 13:35-36)

In Marqus 13 above, and in other passages, we are instructed to watch, and not be found sleeping, but prepared, when the Master returns. We must not only watch in the sense of looking for the signs in the heavens, but watch in the sense of the Hebrew words, meaning keeping, guarding, performing, or celebrating. Here is another:

“But Kepha and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw His glory, and the two men that stood with Him.” (Luqas 9:32)

Here we see the principle that when men awaken from slumber, YAHUAH opens their eyes. It is only then that men begin to see His Glory! Here is another:

“These things said He: and after that He says unto them, Our friend El’azar sleeps; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.” (Yochanon 11:11)

Above, we see that awakening El’azar from sleep is pictured as resurrection from death, and is the example for us today, to walk in Resurrection-Life. As we allow the crucifixion and death of self to work in us, we also allow the resurrection life of Mashiach to grow within us, bit-by-bit. Here is another:

“And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” (Romaiym 13:11)

The apostle Sha’ul is calling us to awaken from sleep, to prepare for the soon-to-arrive goal of our Salvation—the person of YAHUSHA. This preparation is seen, within context, as: ceasing our works of darkness [works of unrighteousness]; and then learning to do works of light [works of righteousness (Yeshayahu 26:9-10)].

In the above Romaiym passage, our lack of preparation is likened to sleep, and likened to the lack of producing the proper fruit. In the following passage in Eph’siym, however, notice what we see:

“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever does make manifest is light. Wherefore he says, Awake you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Mashiach shall give you light.” (Eph’siym 5:11-14)

In the above passage, we see the beginning of our preparation as awakening from sleep, in order to produce the proper fruit, and to produce the light—the works of Righteousness that He enables us to produce, only by His Grace, by His living within us.

Here, we see again that Sha’ul calls us to awaken, to produce the fruit, the works of Righteousness, as do the wise. We are to awaken from our “sleep”—from our history of producing the fruit of unrighteousness [darkness], as the foolish ones do, as seen in Eph’siym 5:3-8.

We are then reminded that it is Mashiach Himself who is the source of all our works of Righteousness, or Light—the works of obedience to Torah which He accomplishes by us, by the Grace He supplies to us, from His living within us.

Scriptures Reveal How One May Be Awakened

Here are some Scriptures to show exactly how we may awaken from sleep, and some results seen by those who awaken, and by those who remain asleep:

“My son, keep your father’s commandment, and forsake not the Torah of your mother … When you go, it shall lead you; when you sleep, it shall keep you; and when you awake, it shall talk with you.” (Mishlei 6:20, 22)

Here we see that while we are sleeping, the Torah will guard and preserve us, where we are, even when unaware of Torah; but when we awaken, the Torah will “speak” to us. Here is another:

“He that gathers in summer is a wise son: but he that sleeps in harvest is a son that causes shame.” (Mishlei 10:5)

Above, we see that a son who sleeps during harvest is not wise, but foolish. The harvest is now underway! Here is another:

“Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of Elohiym: I speak this to your shame.” (Qorintiym Ri’shon 15:34)

“Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the Torah: for sin is the transgression of the Torah.” (Yochanon Ri’shon 3:4)

Here, we see the basic definition of sleep is to walk in sin, which is transgression of the Torah; and to awaken is to “awake to righteousness,” which Yochanon tells us means to “sin not,” which in turn means “stop transgressing [disobeying] YAHUAH’s Torah.”

We are to awaken—which is to awaken to Righteousness, to the “doing” of Righteousness. There is no other option seen in Scripture, but to remain asleep. The choice is ours—we are to choose this day whom we will serve.

Who Has Been Asleep?

The entire body of the “Last” A’dam [the entire Body of Mashiach—all of His people] have been put to sleep by YAHUAH Himself, because of our disobedience.

As seen in the Yeshayahu passages above, we today are included among YAHUAH’s people. But we have all been doing works of unrighteousness—of sin—of transgressing the Torah. We have been asleep, as it were, and have not been walking in Resurrection-Life, the walk of doing works of Righteousness, of obedience to Torah.

Who Is Being Awakened?

The heart of the Bride is now being awakened. She too has been asleep, within the body of the Last A’dam, but she begins to stir as she listens to Torah, and begins to be a “DO-er” of every word that proceeds out of the mouth of YAHUAH (Shiyr HaShiriym 5:2; Luqas 4:4; Devariym 8:3).

She must then come out from among them, from all who would hold her back from the Bridegroom. The Bridegroom is drawing His Bride, and the multitude that make up His Bride has the desire, and the will, to follow Him (Shiyr HaShiriym 1:4).

We are now being called to listen to the words of Torah now speaking to us. We are now being called to be do-ers of Torah—to leave off works of darkness, and become DO-ers of works of Righteousness. Mashiach YAHUSHA is our Righteousness, and He likewise desires to produce His works of Righteousness in us, if we would but allow Him.

Many, however, as seen in the Yeshayahu passages above, have been given a tainted Faith, and a counterfeit “Renewed Covenant.” It is these who will remain asleep.

Nevertheless, the call is going forth for all to hear, and to heed:

Awaken, You that are Sleeping!

THE RUACH HA’QODESH WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH

THE WRITINGS WITNESS

TEHILLIYM (PSALMS) 25:5

NEHEMYAHU (NEHEMIAH) 9:20

“You gave also your good RUACH to instruct them, and withheld not your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst.”

THE RUACH HA’QODESH WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH

The RUACH HA’QODESH is the Biblical name for the presence of the Living ELOHIYM, the Maker of heaven and earth, YAHUAH ELOHIYM.

In the Besorah of Yahuchanon, chapter 15:26, and then in Yahuchanon 16:13–14, YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH told us at least seven things about the RUACH HA’QODESH:

“When the Comforter, the RUACH HA’QODESH, is come, whom I, MASHIACH, will send unto you, MASHIACH’S Talmidiym, from the Father, YAHUAH, even the RUACH EMETH, the RUACH HA’QODESH, which proceeds from the Father, YAHUAH, he, the RUACH HA’QODESH, shall testify of me, YAHUSHA.” (Yahuchanon 15:26)

“Howbeit when he, the RUACH EMETH, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but את whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.” (Yahuchanon 16:13–14)

The RUACH HA’QODESH is the Comforter. The RUACH HA’QODESH is the RUACH EMETH. The RUACH HA’QODESH is the RUACH of YAHUAH ELOHIYM, the heavenly Father. The RUACH HA’QODESH is sent to the children of YAHUAH. The RUACH HA’QODESH will guide YAHUAH’S children into all truth. The RUACH HA’QODESH is sent to us by YAHUAH’S Son, YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH. The RUACH HA’QODESH will always glorify YAHUAH’S Son, the MASHIACH.

The important thing from the above list is Number 4—the RUACH HA’QODESH is for those who, with a sincere and repentant heart, have become one of YAHUAH’S children by adoption and have been birthed into YAHUAH’S family. This is known as being Born-Again, also known as the New Birth. Sometimes referred to as Regeneration (see Yahuchanon 3:3–8; Yahuchanon 14:17; Qorintiym Ri’shon 2:14).

If you are not sure if you are Born-Again, please see the article: Good News!

THE RUACH HA’QODESH’S MISSION

The RUACH HA’QODESH’S mission is two-fold: He will guide YAHUAH’S children into all truth (Yahuchanon 16:13), and He will glorify YAHUAH’S Son, YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH.

Since the RUACH HA’QODESH’S mission is to lead us into all truth, then He will always guide us according to, and in agreement with, the WORD of YAHUAH, the Scriptures! MASHIACH, as well as YAHUAH’S other prophets, confirmed to us where to find The Truth:

YAHUSHA said, “O Father,… Sanctify them through Your truth: Your Word is Truth.” (Yahuchanon 17:17)

“Righteous are You, O YAHUAH, and upright are Your judgments. Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your Torah is the Truth.” (Tehilliym 119:137, 142)

“You are near, O YAHUAH, and all Your Commandments are Truth.” (Tehilliym 119:151)

We must always remember this about the RUACH HA’QODESH:

The RUACH HA’QODESH’S Guidance Will Always Be In Agreement With YAHUAH’S Word because YAHUAH’S Word is Truth!

The RUACH HA’QODESH’S mission is to also reveal and confirm the testimony of YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH and to glorify the MASHIACH! This is a very important principle in recognizing the RUACH HA’QODESH’S guidance!

The RUACH HA’QODESH does not promote Himself, or anyone else. The RUACH HA’QODESH seeks to glorify only the Son of YAHUAH, the MASHIACH.

Any guidance that does not glorify the truth and purposes of YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH is NOT guidance from the RUACH HA’QODESH!

A MAP & A GUIDE

In the pilgrimage of life, YAHUAH gives us a “Map”—the written Scriptures, the Word of YAHUAH! The Scriptures reveal the Eternal Truth of who YAHUAH is, what His ways and plans are! It is very important that we learn YAHUAH’S Word for ourselves. If we want to gain wisdom, understanding, discernment, and guidance, then we must always look to the Scriptures—our Map!

YAHUAH ELOHIYM also gives us a “Guide”—the RUACH HA’QODESH! The RUACH HA’QODESH is our Comforter and our Personal Guide.

First, as our Comforter, our Helper, there are countless times, every day, when the RUACH HA’QODESH helps us! He helps us in our weaknesses, our frailties, our confusion (Romaiym 8:26). Usually we do not recognize half of His enablements, yet when we do have eyes to see the RUACH HA’QODESH’S help and intervention, it is remarkable!

As we saw in Our Amazing Comforter, the infinite, all-seeing RUACH HA’QODESH, is the “eye of YAHUAH” who searches throughout the whole earth, looking for those who love YAHUAH, in order to show Himself strong on their behalf (Divrei Hayamiym Sheniy 16:9a; Romaiym 8:27)!

This showing Himself strong on our behalf is indeed a comforting work! It reveals that YAHUAH knows our situation, our needs, He hears our cry, and answers us in our distress!

Second, the RUACH HA’QODESH as our Guide, is sent to help us stay in YAHUAH’S Pathway of Truth. Because YAHUAH loves us, He wants us to know His Pathway! He does not want us to stray! Therefore, He gives us a Guide: the RUACH HA’QODESH, the Author of the Scriptures, who will bring YAHUAH’S Word to our remembrance to show us the Way wherein we should go!

The RUACH HA’QODESH’S job is to be our Guide/Assistant in helping us understand the “Map” (Qorintiym Ri’shon 2:9–10).

THE RUACH OF ELOHIYM

Let us also remember that when we receive the gift of the RUACH HA’QODESH, we are receiving the person of YAHUAH ELOHIYM, the Holy One of Yashar’el:

“Now we have received, not the ruach of the world, but we have received the RUACH which is of ELOHIYM.” (Qorintiym Ri’shon 2:12)

“For as many as are led by the RUACH ELOHIYM, they are the sons of ELOHIYM.” (Romaiym 8:14)

The RUACH ELOHIYM, the RUACH HA’QODESH, is YAHUAH Himself! This is amazing!! The RUACH of the living ELOHIYM dwelling within us to guide us and lead us—if we will ask Him: “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the RUACH HA’QODESH to them that ask him?” (Luqas 11:13)

YAHUAH is very willing to give us this personal Guide, His RUACH HA’QODESH, to those who ask Him! What great love!!

If you are not sure if you have received the RUACH HA’QODESH, please see Have You Received the RUACH HA’QODESH Since You Believed? Part One.

Now, let’s learn to recognize the RUACH HA’QODESH’S guidance.

LOVE YAHUAH’S TRUTH

Since the RUACH HA’QODESH is the RUACH EMETH, and He wants to guide us into all truth, then we must cultivate a LOVE for the truth!

If we want the RUACH HA’QODESH’S guidance, then we need a deep, gut-level conviction to love the truth!! As we saw in A Way That Seems Right, loving the truth means a loyal, firm conviction to finding the truth no matter the cost, no matter the pain.

If we purpose to love the truth, then that means we will love and obey what we read in the Word of YAHUAH. And, loving the truth means we will love our Savior, the MASHIACH, YAHUSHA.

Loving YAHUAH’S truth means we will learn YAHUAH’S Word for ourselves because the Word of YAHUAH, the Scriptures, is the “Map” for our journey. The RUACH HA’QODESH’S mission is to guide us according to the “Map”—YAHUAH’S Word.

Loving YAHUAH’S truth means we will always look to the Scriptures for understanding, guidance, and will consistently seek to obey the guidance of YAHUAH’S WORD!

And, remember: the RUACH HA’QODESH’S guidance will always be according to and in agreement with YAHUAH’S written WORD! (Tehilliym 119:169)! This is how we begin to learn to know the guidance of the RUACH HA’QODESH.

At times, we will need to establish the RUACH HA’QODESH’S guidance through the principle of two or three witnesses (see Devariym 19:15b), which will always be in agreement with the Scriptures. Witnesses being two or more Scriptures, and the providential witness of our circumstances.

LOVING YAHUAH’S WORD IS LOVING THE TRUTH!

King David declared the truth of YAHUAH’S Word many times:

“Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your Torah is the Truth.” (Tehilliym 119:142)

“You are near, O YAHUAH; and all Your Commandments are Truth.” (Tehilliym 119:151)

“Your Word is True from the beginning: and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.” (Tehilliym 119:160)

As these verses teach, Loving The Truth IS to Love YAHUAH’S Word. This is a foundational key to avoiding delusion! As we saw in Thy Torah Is My Delight, King David loved YAHUAH’S Word with a passion! Which is why he could say: “I have chosen the way of truth” (Tehilliym 119:30a).

Our conviction must be fixed throughout our entire lifetime—that the Word of YAHUAH is faithful, true, unchanging, and endures forever!

YAHUAH’S truth does not change from one age to another! His Word is always true, never becoming out-of-date or invalid! We need to guard against any teachings of YAHUAH’S Word that undermine or weaken the unchanging nature of His Word!

We can trust the Word of the Mighty ELOHIYM of Yashar’el, because He is YAHUAH ELOHIYM of truth! His truth endures throughout all generations! His Word IS as He IS: “For I am YAHUAH, I change not” (Mal’akiy 3:6)!

LOVING YAHUAH’S Word, which is truth, is an essential, first step to knowing the guidance of the RUACH EMETH! Loving YAHUAH’S truth means we will maintain our relationship with YAHUAH by our prayer times, asking His help to love His truth and love MASHIACH. This is how we learn, little by little, to mature and be discerning to know the guidance of the RUACH HA’QODESH!

RECOGNIZING THE TRUTH ABOUT OURSELVES

When we love the truth, then we will learn to be honest to ourselves and about ourselves! We must love the truth to the point of recognizing who we are, what kind of person we are, and accepting our inadequacies, limitations and sinful nature.

The RUACH HA’QODESH knows everything about us—our successes, our strengths, our failures, pain, and weaknesses. And, He knows our sins. We cannot hide from the RUACH HA’QODESH!

So if we are to be guided by Him, then we need to learn to be honest and sensitive to the RUACH HA’QODESH’S nudges because He desires to cleanse us and purify us of selfishness, pride, hatred, or delusion!

We learn to be honest with ourselves by accepting ourselves as the Word of YAHUAH describes us! This is a lifetime process. We must consciously work at being honest with ourselves, in recognizing the truth within ourselves. This is why we find such prayers as Tehilliym 19:12–13: “Who can understand his errors? Oh make me pure from secret faults; and keep Your servant back from presumptuous sins; do not let them rule over me; then I shall be upright and I shall be innocent of great transgression.”

SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN OUR HEART

Speaking the Truth in our heart is not easy because we have a tendency to deny what is true about ourselves. We have a tendency to tell ourselves things that make us feel good. If we do not love the truth, then we can be fooled by our own thoughts and estimations about ourselves.

King David knew the importance of embracing truth deep within himself. He acknowledged and admitted his shameful sin (Tehilliym 15:1–2; see all of Tehilliym 51). King David made the decision to be honest about his failures and not deny the terrible truth about what he had done.

Speaking the truth in our heart is a choice we make that helps us mature. If we love the truth of YAHUAH’S Word, then the RUACH HA’QODESH will help us cultivate the habit of speaking truth in the depths of our heart.

However, when we are confronted with truth about ourselves or any issue, the test of our Love for the Truth will come! We are tested in our love for the truth in our hidden, intimate thoughts—in our reasoning! “…for the righteous ELOHIYM tries, tests, the hearts and thoughts.” (Tehilliym 7:9b)

The question is—Will we reason ourselves away from the truth or toward the truth? What do our reasoning skills lean toward?

Do we side with the RUACH HA’QODESH who is seeking to guide us into all truth?

Do we hinder or do we help the RUACH HA’QODESH’S guidance for us?

TRUTH CAN BE VERY PAINFUL!

Truth can be painful because it can be a form of chastisement. Yet, if we will choose the Way of YAHUAH’S truth in our reasoning skills within ourselves—then that choice will yield the peaceable fruit of righteousness (Ivriym 12:11).

As we saw in No Discipline Seems Pleasant, the RUACH HA’QODESH is always working within us to bring us further into knowing YAHUAH’S love and guidance. Choosing truth will always bring us into a greater understanding of YAHUAH’S Word. Choosing the truth of YAHUAH’S Word will always be good for us, even if the choice seems difficult, painful, or humiliating.

Choosing to be truthful to ourselves will often be the pathway of humility and self-denial. But that is also the pathway of maturity and receiving YAHUAH’S enabling grace (see Tehilliym 138:6; Mishlei 3:34; Ya`aqov 4:6):

“The Way of YAHUAH is strength to the upright.” (Mishlei 10:29a)

Will we be faithful to love the truth of YAHUAH’S Word, as well as love the truth of what YAHUAH’S Word says about us?

It is the little, hidden things that we are tested on, things that often we ignore or reason away. Such things may seem little, but this is part of the ways of the RUACH HA’QODESH. He desires us to be sensitive to His leading and learn to speak the truth in our heart.

We need to have regular, secret prayer times, as well as study times of YAHUAH’S written Word—at least a little bit every day—throughout our lifetime, so that we maintain an openness to learning and obeying His ways! YAHUAH’S Word is the sharp, two-edged sword that helps us discern the truth about ourselves (Ivriym 4:12).

Speaking the truth in our heart is KEY to knowing the intimate, personal guidance of our loving, all-knowing Guide, the RUACH HA’QODESH.
