We are walking in today: Testimony Tuesday--His Spotless Bride
Witness make war throughout the Bible: H4421 milchamah battle, war
1 Samuel 28:15; Proverbs 20:18; Isaiah 37:9; Luke 14:31; Revelation 11:7, 12:17, 13:4, 13:7
We are to be His spotless bride, that He presents to Himself. Being spotless in Hebrew, tamiym H8552 means complete, whole, entire, sound, innocent, having integrity, what is complete or entirely in accord with truth and fact. With this definition we have that we should be wise and mature. Where do we obtain wisdom? Deuteronomy 4:5-8 (KJV) 5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. 6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. 7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for? 8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day? We also have a picture of wisdom with Yeshua's parable of the 5 wise and 5 foolish virgins. It is that time and preparation that made them wise. They were ready when the Bridegroom returned and able to enter in to the marriage and the foolish were shut out.
Proverbs 21:20 There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.
In the life of King Solomon known as the wisest man that ever lived, was turned from that wisdom my the many wives he had that lead him in to pagan practices. We must be aware of those around us that could lead us away from our wisdom, God's teaching and instruction. Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Fiveamprayer, let us not rely in our own wisdom but that which comes from above! His principles and statues are for our well-being and prosperity. How would we know that we have committed a sin without the instruction that defines it?
Romans 6:14-16 (KJV) 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Romans 6:11-13 (KJV) 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Romans 7:6-8 (KJV) 6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. 7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. 8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
