The Second Commandment-Exodus 20:4-5 You shall have no other gods before Me. 43. You shall not make for yourself carved images --Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
44. You shall not bow down to carved images --Exodus 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
45. You shall not worship carved images --Exodus 20:5
46. You shall not make images of gods of silver or gods of gold --Exodus 20:23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.
47. You shall not build an Altar of hewn stones --Exodus 20:22 And the Lord said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
48. You shall not ascend the Altar on steps --Exodus 20:26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.
49. You shall not allow the pagan nation to dwell in the land of Israel --Exodus 23:33 They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.
50. You shall build a Sanctuary for God --Exodus 25:8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.
51. You shall not remove the staves from their rings in the Ark --Exodus 25:15 The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it.
52. You shall place the Showbread on the Table in the Sanctuary, continually --Exodus 25:30 And thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before me alway.
Fiveamprayer, this morning for our weekend meditation, Yahweh comes to give us a teaching that wraps up our entire week! Who can do that but Him?! We are coming to the understanding of the importance of authority. Being authorized to operate in the position that you were intended is very eye opening! For far too long we have attempted to operate in power without authority. Which is what often gets those who are puffed up in how things appear that they are in control. There is a measure of power but when operated without authority leads to many difficulties. So lets take a look at authority according to scripture to get and understanding why this is important to for our lives.
In the garden of Eden, the work that Adam was given was to name the animals and care for the garden. What he named each animal became it's name. This was the dominion that Yahweh said those who are crafted in His image were to have upon the earth. This is power and authority from on high. This could never be accomplished if it was an unauthorized action! With the rebellion in the garden causing Adam and Eve to be cast out of Eden--while it was prompted by an unauthorized action of the serpent under the influence of hasatan, was not final. The plan to restore all things in proper authority has begun and is still being executed now. This is why we are reading scripture and seeing ourselves, Fiveamprayer! This is such an awesome time in His presence! Like no other time before we can see our history and future in scripture!
The authority of the first born, applies to those who are of the first lineage of their parents in the most common sense. This is also true for those who return to the Torah of their bloodline are also the first fruits and receive first born authority. For to be called a son in the Hebraic mindset is to be a student of that person. When scripture refers to the sons of the prophets could also be said students of the prophets. As much in the natural family setting, the son would study or learn from the father to be a father himself. Likewise the students were to learn from the teacher to become a teacher themselves. The great teachers or prophets who's students learned well would be able to say who taught them. Which would give them a measure of authority due to the greatness of that teacher or prophet. Yeshua give us this pattern when He says that He, the Son only does what He see's His Father doing. This flesh living example is how we are to walk in the understanding of His instructions--placing a parameter around our thoughts and actions to the greater that gives the pattern. That is how we might say now that the those who are highly regarded for skills in any arena--who they studied under or which university did they attend. This shows where they obtained this authority. A pale comparison to the authentic authoritative power of Yahweh our Elohim--it is in these tones that people would say he studied under the prophet Elijah as we may say attended Harvard.
When we look through this all the kingdom setting--how it is most accurately seen. We have the power begins at the king and then flows through the officers, governors and generals. So when a charge goes out under the order of the king, without question it was fulfilled. For those who had questions about the king's order were dispatched to prison, torture or death. Thus creating an abject lesson in obedience and display of powerful authority. This is seen in the book of Esther when the king was to go to war and appointed Haman in his steed while he was away. That would allow the full power and authority of the king to be available and rest upon Haman. Only the king could take it way. It is this same authority and promise that we are now walking in authority from on high! This is more than power but the legal position restored to us on the Earth!
