We are walking in today: The Pressing is in the Threshing and the Wine Press
Witness labor throughout scripture: H5647 abad to work, serve, to labour, work, do work, to work for another, serve another by labour, to serve as subjects, to serve (God), to serve (with Levitical service), to be worked, be tilled (of land), to make oneself a servant, to be worked, to compel to labour or work, cause to labour, cause to serve, to cause to serve as subjects, to be led or enticed to serve
Genesis 2:5, 3:23, 15:14, 25:23; Exodus 20:9; Numbers 8:22; Joshua 24:14; Judges 2:7; 1 Samuel 12:24; 2 Chronicles 7:22, 35:3; Psalm 22:30, 72:11; Jeremiah 11:10, 17:4; Zephaniah 3:9
Hosea 9:1-2
1 Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor. 2 The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her.
The threshing floor is designed to separate the wheat or grain from the stalk of the shaft. Using a flat surface and the wheat strewn on the floor. To have the grain trampled out by oxen. I imagine the options not being muzzled because while they trampled grain out of the stalk. The oxen would eat the stalk while the grain remains on the threshing-floor. Explaining the scriptures...
Deuteronomy 25:4
Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn
1 Corinthians 9:9
For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?
The same process of our lives as followers of the Torah. The precious grain should be the end result of our trials in life. Trials we face as believers learning how not to think like the world as it's contrary to the Torah. Instead growing in the teachings and instructions presented in the trials. The question should be what do you want me to do Yahweh? Then allowing the Ruach Ha Kodesh (wind) to blow away the chaff in our lives--being born again in the newness of the Kingdom of Heaven mindset.
John 3:4-5
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
As the similar process was to the wine press. Made of a huge hollowed out stone. With a hole in its side for the juices to flow out. Grapes were poured in the hollowed out flat surface. Then the grapes were stepped on repeatedly to produce the wine. Thus everything was stepped on and trodden on. This should sound familiar? The same process of producing the power of the spirit in the word in us.
John 2:10
And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
1 Peter 4:17
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begins at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God.
Nothing but the mature ripe wine or grain will be used in the Kingdom--this transformation to the image and likeness of Yahweh. This could be smoother or rough process--do not be deceived all of His word comes to pass, without fail! By hearing the small still voice of instructions or by fire. This process is inevitable. The harvest must be gathered before that great and dreadful day, separating the wheat from the tares.
Revelation 14:15
And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
Matthew 13:49
So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just.
The winepress and threshing floor hold key information. As a end time current event. Within the Hebrew idioms the stories we have all heard connected to these two vital topics. Have been interpreted with half of the original context. That is why I love the word through Hebrew lenses. The original language of the scriptures. The meaning is restored and more truth is revealed as a whole instead of partial understanding. Please learn the depths of the word Yahweh is saying to those He has chosen to listen--for many are called few are chosen. Shema, Selah--hear to listen to obey Yahweh's word and let us pause to consider what we have heard!
