Esther 4
We are walking in today: Gather Fiveamprayer, Together For A Fast.
Esther 4:15-16 15 Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer, 16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
The Esther fast is observed during one of the two days of Purim or the days leading up to it. This evil decree if not counteracted would have meant the death of many of the Jewish people in this time. For Persia was a large region having 127 providences and regarding the lives of those ranging over several continents. As we can find many times in the davar Elohim, or the word of God is that the number of the people nor the skill does not have any say in the outcome. The most common deciding factor is obedience to instruction and trust in the hand of the Almighty in the whole outcome--no matter how it appears to our logic or intellect! How can focus on the queen going before her husband, the king un-summoned have that much sway in a decision? Or a better question would also be, why would Esther go un-summoned before her husband, the king on threat of death?! Actually properly said this was not a threat of death, if the king did not lower his scepter, than it was certain death. The focus that it takes to lay down the security of your life for the lives of others is not something to take lightly, nor was it. There was preparation involved. A crying out in the spirit both within and without the palace that this terrible deed would be undone. The up-building of knowing that whether deliverance would come in this fashion or another, Esther declares...'and so I will go into the king, which is not according to the law, and if I perish, I perish'. Only with preparation can that kind of declaration be made. For both Esther, her cousin Mordecai and the Jewish people know in Who they trust and rely.
Fiveamprayer, Adonai comes this morning with a wake up call! We are to
no longer huddle within ourselves separate and alone! We are to gather
together focused in prayer with fasting. The importance of observing
this fast of Esther is in our seeking the Lord God Almighty--we are
afflicting our flesh that we would be focused on the heavenly things
above. We regain focus by more prayer and removal of this physical food to
concentrate on the spiritual sustenance. The heavenly nourishment also comes with increased hearing,
spiritual insight and more. There are things that have to be broken off of us and us made ready for what Elohim has purposed and planned from the very beginning of the world. We give Him all the honor, glory and praise! There is no one like unto Thee Yahweh! Hallelujah and glory to Your name! All blessings, honor and glory to the Most High God, Yahweh!
