The Fourth Commandment Exodus 20:8-11

Remember the Sabbath day, to sanctify it.  Six days you shall work and accomplish all your work; the seventh day is Sabbath to the Lord , your God; you shall not do any work--you, your son, your daughter, your slave, your maidservant, your animal, and your convert within your gates--for in six day the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and He rested the seventh day.  Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and sanctified it.

377. You shall not eat leavened bread with the Passover --Deuteronomy 16:3
Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.
378. You shall rejoice on your Festivals --Deuteronomy 16:14
And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.
379. You shall observe the requirements for taking a woman captured in war as a wife --Deuteronomy 21:11 And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife;
380. You shall not sell a woman captured in war --Deuteronomy 21:14 And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not sell her at all for money, thou shalt not make merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled her.
381. You shall not enslave a woman captured in war --Deuteronomy 21:14
382. You shall not turn over a slave who is rescued from his master to you --Deuteronomy 23:15
Thou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant which is escaped from his master unto thee:
383. You shall not taunt a slave who is rescued from his master to you
--Deuteronomy 23:16
He shall dwell with thee, even among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress him.
384. You shall observe the laws of marriage and divorce --Deuteronomy 24:1 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
385. A husband shall be free for his home for the first year --Deuteronomy 24:5 When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
386. You shall read the Torah to all of Israel during Sukkot in each Sabbatical year --Deuteronomy 31:12 Gather the people together, men and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the Lord your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:

Psalm 19
1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, 5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. 6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. 8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. 12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. 13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. 14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

The Word of God, the Davar Elohim--in going back to the Hebrew roots of the Christian faith it is the terminology of words that gets in the way.  No matter what educational background we have, we have
to find and determine the original definition and intention behind the word.  Adonai comes this morning to teach us by and through His word.  He also communicates through people, the people that He knew
would be faithful and preserve His word through
 their culture--the Hebrew people.
The enemy knows well how important communication is.  The devil purposely misquotes scripture
, knowing full well that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.  Healing would not be needed for those who are healthy.  So he has taken on this position to confuse the language.  The words being redefined was a slow process that has evolved to a different meaning from the original intent.  There are terms that we must go back to define from the original language, Hebrew.   Believe. Kingdom. Life. Light. Righteousness. Worship.  These words are defined in the Tanakh.  The authors of the Brit Chadasha expected that those who were reading what was being written by them, had an understanding of the Tanakh.
word
--John 1:1, 1:14 from the beginning was the word--so this did not begin in the Brit Chadasha but in the Tanakh.  For the full understanding we need the Hebrew definition.  Davar means spoken word, words of speech, spoken things.  The Word of God is Davar Elohim, His commandments, statutes, ordinances, His ways.  His word teaches us His way and to walk in His path.  This word became flesh and walked among us.  His teachings and ways walking in the flesh! Yeshua, the HaTorah!

Thank You Lord God Almighty for the validation of Your word!  If God said it, that is enough for me!  Get understanding of how the word of God was translated.
word in Hebrew davar, in Greek logos
It is agreed that the Tanakh was written in Hebrew and contains Jewish idioms and cultural content.  There were dramatic changes in language and culture leading up to the time that Yeshua walked on the Earth.  From davar, words of speech, and spoken things to logos, to say or speak--in the Greek culture goes further to god of knowledge, right thought, right belief.  What we have here is the subtle shift from Yeshua being Davar Elohim into the god of knowledge logos. As we continue to study the word, word
taking it from the Greek definition that we find used in the Brit Chadasha, logos.  Which is further defined as saying the right thing without actually doing the right thing.  Leading to only a confession without the matching action or behavior.

Fiveamprayer we have to see how this thing was done!  The word was translated and re-defined--this  is an attack on the communication from Yahweh.  Much to our error, from the lack of study, we find ourselves walking in lawlessness against the original instruction from Yahweh Himself.  We have been given His teaching and instruction, for the benefit of our lives, the Torah.  This is the Davar Elohim.  Fiveamprayer, check the word--what are you reading?  How did Yeshua walk while on the earth?  To hear this again click here.

Excerpt read from Edwin Hatch, The Influence of Greek Ideas and Usages Upon the Christian Church. 1895. Williams and Norgate.
“But when the product of one generation spreads its branches far and wide into the generations that succeed, its roots must be deep and firm in the generation from which it springs. No lasting element of civilization grows upon the surface. Greek education has been almost as permanent as Christianity itself, and for similar reasons. It passed from Greece into Africa and the West. It had an especial hold first on the Roman and then upon the Celtic and Teutonic populations of Gaul; and from the Gallican schools it has come, probably by direct descent, to our own country and our own time."
"In a similar way we shall find that the Greek Christianity of the fourth century was rooted in Hellenism. The Greek minds which had been ripening for Christianity had absorbed new ideas and new motives;"
“We have ample evidence in regard to the state of Greek thought during the ante-Nicene period. The writers shine with a dim and pallid light when put side by side with the master-spirits of the Attic age;”
“We have ample evidence also as to the state of Christian thought in the post-Nicene period. The fathers Athanasius, Basil, Gregory of Nazianzus, Gregory of Nyssa, and Cyril of Jerusalem, the decrees of general and local Councils, the apocryphal and pseudonymous literature, enable us to form a clear conception of the change which Greek influences had wrought.”
“Education was no longer in the hands of “private tutors” in the houses of the great families. It entered public life, and in doing so left a record behind it.”
