We are walking in today: Weekend Meditation--The Walking Torah: Torah Is Not The End, It's The Goal!!
The Fourth Commandment Exodus 20:8-11
Remember the Sabbath day, to sanctify it. Six days you shall
work and accomplish all your work; the seventh day is Sabbath to the
Lord , your God; you shall not do any work--you, your son, your
daughter, your slave, your maidservant, your animal, and your convert
within your gates--for in six day the Lord made the heavens and the
earth, the sea and all that is in them, and He rested the seventh day.
Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and sanctified it.

365. You shall offer the prescribed Elevation-Offering on Shavuot --Numbers 28:26-27 26
Also in the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new meat offering
unto the Lord, after your weeks be out, ye shall have an holy
convocation; ye shall do no servile work: 27 But ye shall offer the
burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the Lord; two young bullocks, one
ram, seven lambs of the first year;
366. You shall offer the prescribed Elevation-Offering on Yom Teruah --Numbers 29:1-2 1
And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have
an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing
the trumpets unto you. 2 And ye shall offer a burnt offering for a
sweet savour unto the Lord; one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs
of the first year without blemish:
Fiveamprayer,
we need to clarify whether we are subject to the law. Many Christians
ask if we are to follow all of the law: sacrificing animals and stoning
people for adultery, for example. Do you live in a theocracy? Then
no--there a commands that only apply to those living in the land of
Israel. There are some commands that apply to the priests, the high
priest, men, women, those married and unmarried. Timothy was instructed
by Paul, to rightly divide the word of God. We have to know and
understand that Paul's letters were dealing with specific
situations--two main heresies he was dealing with: those new to the Way
of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, had to take on all of the Torah to be
saved. This shows that the Jews were holding on to traditions. Then on
the other side of the aisle we have the new converts who believed that
once they were saved there was no relationship with the Torah. The new
converts were coming from pagan religions and did not understand that
the Torah relationship was not over with salvation. Those coming out of
Roman and Greek societies were also under the misleading anti-Semitic
beliefs.
In the book of Galatians they had the wrong understandings where even
Paul a Jew of the tribe of Benjamin and a rabbi who tells us himself in
the book of Romans--Romans 11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away
his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of
Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. That they would even accuse him
of teaching against the Torah. If this was the case he had the perfect
backdrop to make the declaration that Torah observance is over, next we
find that he walks in the definition of the Nazrerite vow found in Numbers 6.
So with further study and proper translation to the original Hebrew we
find that the Torah is to keep us and not the other way around. It is
what Adonai, Elohim, Yahweh has prescribed for His creation and the work
of His hands to be blessed, healthy, successful and united community.
All that we have in our ignorance have sought out everywhere else with
little to no success. He, Yeshua is the Way, the Truth and the Life!
He is the walking Torah, the Word made flesh! To be Christ-like is to
walk according to His teaching and instructions! Thank You Lord God for
opening up our understanding that the scales have fallen from our
eyes! Praise His holy name! Amen, amen! To hear this again click here.
