We are walking in today:  Spiritual Blindness

Witness one throughout the Bible:  This is the Hebrew word echad, Strong's number H259 which is said in the Shema from Deuteronomy 6:4-9
4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: 5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. 9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
Being one is very important, meaning not divided, or whole, holy. Also represents father as well H1 av.
Genesis
 2:21, 2:24; Leviticus 25:48; Numbers 28:4; Psalm 49:16; 75:7; 119:160; Isaiah 48:17; 55:5; Ezekiel 2:10; Hosea 11:9; Matthew 23:10, 24:40, 26:14; Mark 9:42; John 19:18; Romans 13:8, 14:12

There was a popular saying from the 1990's What Would Jesus Do?  This was placed on all kinds of items to be a reminder to consider what He would do before acting.  So then some actually went so far as to ask each other what He would do in any given situation.  We already have the answers if we own a Bible.  But what many of us have lacked and is not being remedied is the understanding and the desire to truly read and understand scripture.  In this present season and time we actually find that the better question is What Did Jesus Do?  How did He live?  What were His customs?  What is His culture?  The idea of asking someone else about a person suggests that you know them well enough to answer a question like they would.
So if this is the case then all that we do in the church that upholds Jesus Christ as Master and Lord would be reflected in His life while He walked on the earth.  There should be so many things that are similar that you would confuse the church with Him.  Is that really the case?
Would some one new to Christ and the church see all of those similarities?  Would there be anything that is the same or has it been changed because 'we' thought it would be better.  OR this is what  scripture 'hints at'.
Or better yet, this is not what He actually said but what we do is good too.  If birds of a feather flock together as the saying goes do they both, this Jesus Christ of the Bible and the feathers of the church look the same?  Are they one?  Are they confused with each other?  Just like those who spend time in another country will notice that those people speak differently or even if they speak another language have an accent.  So if the church does not speak like our Messiah Yeshua, do they at least have an accent like they have even visited His culture?  Or have the actions of the past so divorced them from the truth, the beginning and the true intention that He teaches us so patiently in His word?
