Men Of Torah Day--Men Walking In Faith According To Scripture!!! The Counting of the Omer Day 46--

Hebrews 11

We are walking in today:  Men Of Torah Day--Men Walking In Faith According To Scripture!!!
The Counting of the Omer Day 46

Hebrews 11:1-2
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report

Psalm 119:9-16

9 BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.

Ancient Name: Beyt
Pictograph: Floorplan of a Tent
Meanings: Family, House, In
Sound: B, Bh (v)

History & Reconstruction
Several variations were used for the original pictograph. Each of these pictographs is representative of a house or tent. The pictograph is chosen as it best represents the nomadic tents of the Hebrews. The tent was divided into two sections, men's and women's, with the entrance at the front of the tent in the men's section and an entrance from the men's to the women's section.

The Hebrew word (beyt), the name of this letter, means house or tent as well as family. A common designation for a family is to identify the "house" of the family patriarch such as in "The house of Jacob."

The meanings of this letter are house, tent, and family as well as in, with, inside or within as the family resides within the house or tent.

The Hebrew name for this letter, beyt, is equivalent to the Greek name beta and the Arabic name beyt. This letter is pronounced as a "b" when sounded as a stop, such as in the word beyt, or a "bh" (v) when used as a spirant, as in the word shubh (shoov).

This letter is commonly used as a prefix to words to mean "in" or "with" as in be'erets meaning "in a land."

The Early Semitic letter evolved into in the Middle Semitic script and into in the Late Semitic script. The Modern Hebrew letter ב developed out of the Late Semitic. The Middle Semitic script was adopted by the Greeks to become the letter Β (a reverse direction due to being written from right to left instead of left to right) and the Roman B and b. The Late Semitic became the number 2.

Faith: According to the Scriptures

The foundation of every believer taught as one of the many equipment’s given to the body of the Kingdom. Contrary to what the scriptures teach and the same walk Yeshua portrayed. Faith has been misrepresented vastly in modern preaching’s So we come to the decision do we have the faith of Yeshua or the faith in? One is divinely taught the other is man made traditions.  Our petition is that you search out truth by scriptures for the matter line a pond line precept upon precept. LETS GO!!!

What is Faith?

When we become Believers, we begin a journey of walking with Messiah. And as we walk with Him, we soon realize that our walking with Him must be by faith. We then begin to understand that if we are to proceed further with Him, our faith must also grow.

But there is a problem! Today many Believers have come to a standstill. We have begun well, but we have not grown in our faith. Biblical Faith is not some vague idea, nor is it merely a mental agreement to the facts of Scripture. We are told  in James 2:19 that even the devils believe! And so we must ask ourselves, "In what way is our belief to be different from that of the devils?"

In the book of Hebrews Chapter 11, called the 'faith' chapter of the Bible, we see the following statement:

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. (Hebrews 11:1-2)

We see the answer given to us in many verses of this same Book of Hebrews, Chapter 11. Let us observe in this chapter there are many statements like the following:

• By faith Abel... [did something]...(Hebrews 11:4).
• By faith Enoch... [did something]...(Hebrews 11:5).
• By faith Noah... [did something]...(Hebrews 11:7).
• By faith Abraham... obeyed... not knowing... [did something] ...(Hebrews 11:8).
• And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gideon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets 33 Who through faith... [did something] ...(Hebrews 11:32).
Beloved, do you see what they all did? By faith, these all 'did something.' But notice these two passages:

By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. (Hebrews 11:8)

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed...(Hebrews 11:13)

We might say that Biblical faith is 'blind' obedience — for if we act only on what we know or understand, there is no faith involved. Here is what pleases the Most High:

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)

The spiritual principle of "first do, then understand," is the basic principle of Biblical faith, and is seen in the following passages:

Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. (Deuteronomy 4:6)

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. (Hosea 6:3)

I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts. (Psalms 119:100)

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: 2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: 4 So shalt thou find favour ['Grace'] and good understanding in the sight of God and man. (Proverbs 3:1-4)

As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth. (Daniel 9:13)

If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. (John 7:17)

The above passages show vividly the principle of "first do, then understand, and know." This is Biblical faith!

The Righteous Shall Live by Faith
First, we are told that our Righteousness comes by faith:
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference (Romans 3:22)

But then we are told that those who are Righteous by faith, shall also live and walk by faith:

Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just ['Righteous'] shall live by his faith. (Habakkuk 2:4)

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just ['Righteous'] shall live by faith. (Romans 1:17)

For we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7)

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just ['Righteous'] shall live by faith. (Galatians 3:11)

Now the just ['Righteous'] shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. (Hebrews 10:38)

The above passage reveals that our faith is similar to how we walk, and how we live. But notice the above passages do not end with one who is made righteous by faith, for they go on to say that those who are made righteous, shall live by faith, and they shall walk by faith!

Our Walk of Faith
The moment we first receive Yahushua as our Saviour, is when we take our first step of Biblical faith. This is when we become Born-Again, and it is when we become righteous by faith (Philippians 3:9). When we put action to Yahushua's words by repenting, and being baptised, we take the next steps of Biblical faith. Even if we are struggling with truth, and do not "get it," let us begin to walk in obedience to Messiah's Words, including those He gave to Moses. For it is only when we walk in 'blind' obedience to all His Words, that we show evidence that He is indeed our Lord and Master. It is also in this way that we progress in our faith, from one level of faith to a greater level.

Beloved, let us remember Abraham, who "obeyed ... not knowing."

For this is faith — according to the Scriptures!

Shema selah, are your actions in faith?  Will you go without understanding first?  Day 46 counting up to Shavout!!  Will we grow and exercise our faith??  Facebook LIVE video

The Faith In Yeshua Or The Faith Of Yeshua! WWYD!!

1 John 2

We are walking in today:  The Faith In Yeshua Or The Faith Of Yeshua! WWYD!!
The Counting of the Omer*. This is the forty fifth day, making 6 weeks and 3 days of the Omer .**

Witness faith throughout the Bible:   H529 emuwn--faithfulness, trusting, faithful

Proverbs 20:6 Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?

Torah:  Deuteronomy 7:9, 32:20
Prophets:   1 Samuel 2:35, 3:20, 22:14, 26:23; Nehemiah 9:8
Writings:  2 Kings 22:7, Psalm 12:1, 31:23, 89:1, 101:6, 119:75; Proverbs 11:13, 13:17, 14:5

Isaiah 26:2 Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.

1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Psalm 119:1-8
1 ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
4 Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.
5 O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!
6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.
7 I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
8 I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly

Ancient Name: El, Al
Pictograph: Ox Head
Meanings: Strong, Power, Leader
Sound: ah, eh

History & Reconstruction
The original pictograph for this letter is a picture of an ox head representing strength and power from the work performed by the animal. This pictograph also represents a chief or other leader. When two oxen are yoked together for pulling a wagon or plow, one is the older and more experienced one who leads the other. Within the clan, tribe or family the chief or father is seen as the elder who is yoked to the others as the leader and teacher.

The Modern name for this letter is aleph and corresponds to the Greek name alpha and the Arabic name aleph. The various meanings of this root are oxen, yoke and learn. Each of these meanings is related to the meanings of the pictograph . The root (אלף) is an adopted root from the parent root אל (el), written as in the original script, meaning, strength, power and chief and is the probable original name of the pictograph.

The lamed is a shepherd staff and represents authority as well as a yoke (see the letter lamed). When combined these two pictographs mean "strong authority." The chief or father is the "strong authority." The can also be understood as the "ox in the yoke." Many Near Eastern cultures worshipped the god El and was depicted as a bull in carvings and statues. Israel chose the form of a calf (young bull) as an image of God at Mount Sinai showing their association between the word and the ox or bull and is also commonly used in the Hebrew Bible for "God" or "god."

The concept of the ox and the shepherd staff in the word has been carried over into modern times as the scepter (as a staff) and crown (as horns) of a monarch, the leader of a nation. These modern items are representative of the shepherd staff, an ancient sign of authority, and the horns of the ox, an ancient sign of strength.

In Modern Hebrew this letter is silent but was originally used as the vowels "a" and "e." The Greek letter alpha, derived from the aleph, is also used for the "a" sound.

The Early Semitic pictograph was simplified to and in the Middle Hebrew script and continued to evolve into the in the Late Hebrew script. The Modern Hebrew letter א developed out of the Late Semitic. The Middle Semitic was adopted by the Greeks to be the letter "A" (alpha) and carried over into the Roman "A." The Middle Semitic became the number "1" that we use today.

WWYD — What Would Yahushua Do?  Take A Look, Is That What You Would Do?

These four little words make up the most profound question we should ask ourselves daily. Every day we must decide between truth and error. We must decide if something is good doctrine, or bad.

Notice what we are told in Scripture:

He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. (1 John 2:6)

If we are to become perfected in love, as the Scripture tells us, we must walk as Yahushua walked, in every way. If we are to walk even as He walked, we must ask ourselves this question, in every matter, "What would Yahushua do?" If we are to walk as He walked, then we should desire to practice the same things He practiced, speak the same words He spoke, and literally be the same as He was, in all areas of our life. Why is this true? The following passages reveal the answer:

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory..." (Colossians 1:27)

"But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you." (Romans 8:11)

"Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" (2Corinthians 13:5)

"My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you..." (Galatians 4:19)

"Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God." (Philippians 1:11)

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus..." (Philippians 2:5)

"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." (1 John 4:4)

The above passages reveal that Messiah actually is living within every Born-Again Believer. As He lives within us, He desires to express the fullness of His Life in us, as the Word of His Testimony.

Here is a short list of things Yahushua did:

• He did not His own will, but the Father's will (Luke 22:42)
• He was immersed ['baptised'] in water (Matt 3:16)
• He was filled with the Holy Spirit (Luke 4:1)
• He was led by the Holy Spirit (Luke 4:1)
• He showed His love for His Father, by keeping His Father's commandments (John 15:10)
• He kept [observe, guard, preserve, keep; the Hebrew word is 'watch'] His Father's Sabbath Days (Mark 13:37, 14:14; Luke 4:16)
• He observed His Father's 'true' Passover (Luke 22:11; John 18:28)
• He kept His Father's Feast Days (John 7:10)

The above list is a clear (though brief) account from the study of Scriptures, of things Yahushua actually did. These things we must ask ourselves, "Do we see in this list any of Yahushua's activities that we are not doing?" We must also ask ourselves, "Are there some things to avoid, in our walking with The Most High?" We are as much as possible for us to observe as well, as we are seeking to walk as he walked.

Here is a short list of things Yahushua avoided:

• He avoided keeping the pagan sun-worship rituals in their many forms [x-mas, easter, saturnalia]
• He avoided other pagan religious ritual celebrations [birthdays, valentines, lent]
• He avoided becoming ensnared by the Commandments of Men, and the Doctrines of Men
• He avoided practicing the Dogmas [Decrees] of Men, holding instead to living in obedience to His Father's Torah.

This list is also a clear observation from the study of Scriptures. Again we ask ourselves, "Do we see in this list anything Yahushua avoided, that we have not yet begun to avoid?"

Believing in Yahushua
After looking at the above lists, someone might say, "Well, I believe in Yahushua!" Fair enough. Do we recall what James tells us about believing?

"Thou believest ['have faith'] that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble." (James 2:19)

If the devils also believe [have faith], how is our belief or faith different from that of the devils? The difference is in whether or not we are a "Do-er" of Yahushua's Words. As James goes on to tell us, the difference can be seen in actions of obedience, which the devils lack!

Now let's look at Yahushua's reply:

"But if ye believe not his (Moses') writings, how shall ye believe my words?" (John 5:47)

The answer is, we can not — because Moses' Words and Yahushua's Words are one and the same! It was Yahushua who gave the words to Moses. What irony! It is for this reason that we see the words of the Disciple whom Yahushua loved, saying this:

"He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." (1John 2:4)

We must remember that our Born-Again experience is based not on any works we have done, nor the keeping of any commandments, but only on the Blood-Redemption Messiah has provided for us. Only after we have been Born Again — that is, only after Yahushua has been 'birthed' within our inner being, by His Grace — only then can Yahushua begin to live within us, and walk in us, by His Grace, His enablement, to lead us into obedience to His Commandments. If we are to mature in love [the keeping of His Commandments], we must stop preventing Messiah-in-us from walking in us, in the same way He walked 2,000 years ago, while He was in His own body. We must change OUR thinking to HIS thinking. We must avoid being carnal. We must become like Paul and the other disciples, and yes, even like Messiah Himself.

Shema Selah let us consider how the Messiah Yeshua walked as we walk out our daily lives!!  Facebook LIVE video

Psalm 119:81-88
81 My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word.
82 Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
83 For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes.
84 How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?
85 The proud have digged pits for me, which are not after thy law.
86 All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.
87 They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts.

Kaph
Ancient Name: Kaph
Pictograph: Open Palm
Meanings: Bend, Open, Allow, Tame
Sound: K (stop), Kh (spirant)

History & Reconstruction
The Ancient form of this letter is the open palm of a hand. The meanings of this letter are "bend" and "curve," from the shape of the palm, as well as to "tame" or "subdue" as one who has been bent to another's will.

The Modern Hebrew name for this letter is kaph, a Hebrew word meaning "palm" and is also the ancient name for this letter. This letter is pronounced as a "k," as in the word kaph, when used as a stop or as a "kh" (pronounced hard like the "ch" in the German name Bach), as in the word yalakh (to walk) when used as a spirant.

The Early Semitic evolved into in the Middle Semitic script. This letter continued to evolve into in the Late Semitic script and becoming the Modern Hebrew כ and the ך (final kaph). The Middle Semitic became the Greek and Roman K (written in the reverse direction from the Hebrew).

We have briefly seen seven Biblical Guidelines that must be followed, in order to correctly interpret the Scriptures.

Along with these Biblical Guidelines, there are many additional principles seen throughout the Scriptures, that will help us in our study and understanding of the Scriptures.

1.The need for the Holy Spirit to open the eyes & ears, so that we may 'see' the Scriptures:

Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction, (Job 33:16)

Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. (Psalms 40:6)

Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. (Psalms 119:18)

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (Jeremiah 33:3)

But their eyes were holden that they should not know him... And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. (Luke 24:16, 31)

2.The need for the Holy Spirit to reveal the true meaning to the Scriptures:

And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the dedicated things: (1Chronicles 28:12)

But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. (Job 32:8)

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. (John 16:13)

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. (1John 2:27)

3.The need for following the living examples of Messiah and His Disciples, as seen in Scripture:

For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. (John 13:15)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

Be ye followers ['imitators'] of me, even as I also am of Christ. (1Corinthians 11:1)

He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. (1John 2:6)

4.The need for Prayer to understand the Scriptures:

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (Jeremiah 33:3)

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; (Colossians 1:9)

Pray without ceasing. (1Thessalonians 5:17)
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (James 1:5)

5.The need for us to humble ourselves, in order to understand the Scriptures:

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (John 15:5)

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. (James 4:10)

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: (1Peter 5:5-6)

6. The need to hear and obey the Scriptures, as a pre-requisite for receiving further understanding:

He that turneth away his ear from hearing [hearken: to hear and obey] the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. (Proverbs 28:9)

Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. (Deuteronomy 4:6)

I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts. (Psalms 119:100)

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: 2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: 4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. (Proverbs 3:1-4)

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. (Hosea 6:3)

The above are some important, additional principles that must be considered, for those who choose to follow after Yahushua Messiah.

As we conclude this teaching and instructions of standing on the word of El Elyon. Men have a structural basis on how to interpret the scriptures line on line precept on precept. The paper that divides that Old and New testament tear it out. The entire word of El Elyon can verify itself with no needed commentary for those who are ready for meat. The need to rightly divide the word of truth and to be lead by the promise of the Ruach Hakodesh.  This is the promise and blessings on Yeshuahs disciples. We are never forsaken nor forgotten, but provided with instructions that are specifically connected to each and everyone who chose the path of life. Realizing we were already chosen to walk this path from before the foundations of this earth was made. Now as we look at the Manuel that gives us life and life more abundantly let us trust in the plans of our God and study His love letters to our soul, now with wisdom, understanding, and knowledge.

65 TETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word.
66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.
68 Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.
69 The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart.
70 Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law.
71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
72 The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

Teth
Ancient Name: Thet
Pictograph: Basket
Meanings: Surround, Contain, Mud
Sound: Th

History & Reconstruction
The original pictograph for this letter is , a container made of wicker or clay. Containers were a very important item among the nomadic Hebrews. They were used for storing grains, tools, foods, housewares and other items. Wicker baskets were used as nets for catching fish. The meanings of this letter are basket, container, store and clay.

The twenty-second letter of the Hebrew alphabet is a tav, with a "t" sound. It is unlikely that the original Hebrew had two letters with the same sound. When the Greeks adopted the Hebrew alphabet this letter became the Greek theta. It is likely that the original sound for this letter was a "th," as adopted by the Greeks.

The Modern Hebrew name for this letter is tet, but probably originally pronounced thet, which means "mud" or "clay," materials used to make baskets.

The Early Semitic letter remained unchanged into the Middle Semitic script, but became in the Late Semitic script. The Late Semitic letter became the Θ (Theta) in the Greek alphabet, the Modern Hebrew ט and our number 6.

Biblical Interpretation

6. Do Not Add to or Remove From Scripture

This next principle is of great importance, for if we fail to adhere to this, we will not come to fully know Messiah, nor our Heavenly Father.

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. (Deuteronomy 4:2)

What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it. (Deuteronomy 12:32)

Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. (Proverbs 30:6)

For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:18-19)

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (Revelation 22:18-19)

This principle tells us first, that we are not to add to, or take from, the Words of Scripture. Fair enough.

But most Bible Teachers today have taught that Messiah Himself has done this very thing — that He added to, and removed from, the Words of Scripture!

When Messiah was walking on the earth, in His own body, if He had added or removed anything from Scripture, He would have broken the Law — He would have violated Torah, which is committing a sin

(1John 3:4) If Yahushua had committed any sin at all, He would have been unfit as a perfect, sinless sacrifice — and He would have been disqualified from being our Redeemer and Savior! Instead, He became a sacrifice, and His walk of obedience to Torah became an example for His people to follow today!

Let us look at an example, to see what this means for us today. There are many examples today of removing words from Scripture, and adding words to Scripture. We can see one example by merely reading the Scriptures. In this example, we will look at Isaiah 42:8, to see what it says, according to various translations.

Notice the following passage in several translations:

"I am יהוה, that is My Name...." (Isaiah 42:8a — The Scriptures 1998)

"I am YHWH: that is my name...." (Isaiah 42:8a RNKJV — Restored Name King James Version)

"I am YAHWEH; that is My name...." (Isaiah 42:8a HRB — Hebrew Roots Bible)

"I am Yahweh; that is My name...." (Isaiah 42:8a LEB — Lexham English Bible)

"I am Jehovah, that is My name...." (Isaiah 42:8a ASV — American Standard Version)

"I am Jehovah, this is My name...." (Isaiah 42:8a YLT — Young's Literal Translation)

"I am ADONAI; that is my name...." (Isaiah 42:8a CJB — Complete Jewish Bible)

"I am God, that's my name...." (Isaiah 42:8a MSG — The Message)

"I am the LORD: that is my name...." (Isaiah 42:8a KJV — King James Version)

"I am the Lord, that is My name...." (Isaiah 42:8a NRS — New Revised Standard)

Notice in the above passages, that the true, Hebrew name of Yahuweh can be seen in a few translations. In most modern translations, however, the translators have removed His true name — and have added the title 'LORD' or 'Adonai' in place of His name!

7. First Obey and Do — And Then We Will Know and Understand

This principle is the most basic expression of Biblical Faith!

Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. (John 7:16-17)

In the above passage, we see that if we will do [make, produce, bring forth] Father's will, then we shall know [perceive, understand] the doctrine [teaching, instruction]

And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:40)

The word 'believe' as used in Scripture is from the Hebrew perspective, as opposed to the Greek perspective. The Greek perspective says, "What I 'think' is what I believe." This is merely a mental agreement of certain facts being true, and is not Biblical belief. The Hebrew perspective, on the other hand, says, "What I 'do' proves what I believe." To 'believe' in the Scriptural sense, therefore, is an action that we take, that reveals what we think.

Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. 6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. (Deuteronomy 4:5-6)

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: 2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: 4 So shalt thou find favor ['Grace'] and good understanding in the sight of God and man. (Proverbs 3:1-4)

I understand more than the ancients, because I keep [guard, watch; obey] thy precepts. (Psalms 119:100)

Some may consider this type of obedience a 'blind' obedience to the Word. Yes, a lack of understanding is a form of blindness. But as we see throughout the Scriptures, Our Heavenly Father sometimes gives this 'blindness' to His children for a purpose, and then removes the blindness to fulfill His purposes.

Abba is looking for those who have Faith — those who see Messiah, and who choose to 'believe' on Him — that is, who choose to obey and do, even though they do not yet know or understand.  Shema Selah let us obey and do first and allow Him to give us knowledge and understanding as we continue in His instruction!!  Facebook LIVE video

We Must First Obey and Do, Then Know and Understand!!!

2 Peter 1; Psalm 119

We are walking in today:  The Counting of the Omer, This is the thirtieth day, making four weeks and two days of the Omer.  We Must First Obey and Do, Then Know and Understand!!!

Witness interpretation throughout the Bible:  H6622 pathar--to interpret, interpretation

2 Peter 1:20 First, you must understand this: No prophecy in Scripture is a matter of one’s
own interpretation.

Torah:  Genesis 40:8, 40:16, 40:22, 41:8, 41:12, 41:13, 41:15
Prophets:  Jeremiah 27:9
Writings:  Judges 7:15; Daniel 2:4, 5:12, 5:16

Matthew 16:3 And in the morning you say that there will be a storm today because the sky is red and
overcast. You can forecast the weather by judging the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.

2 Peter 1:20  Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

HEY

Psalm 119:33-40
33 Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.
34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.
36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.
38 Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear.
39 Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good.
40 Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.

Chet
Ancient Name: Hhets
Pictograph: Wall
Meanings: Outside, Divide Half
Sound: Hh

History & Reconstruction
The ancient pictograph is a picture of a tent wall. The meanings of this letter are "outside," as the function of the wall is to protect the occupants from the elements, half, as the wall in the middle of the tent divides the tent into the male and female sections, and secular, as something that is outside.

The Modern Hebrew name for this letter is hhet meaning a string. A very similar Hebrew word is hhets, which means a wall and is most likely the original name for this letter. The sound of the letter, in ancient and modern times, is a guttural "hh" (as in the "ch" in the name Bach).

The early Semitic pictograph evolved into in the Middle Semitic script. This letter continued to evolve into in the Late Semitic script. The Middle Semitic script is the origin of the Greek and Roman H. The late Semitic script became the Modern Hebrew ח. The Middle Semitic form of this letter became the number 8.

As we continue the study of properly interpreting the scriptures. Comparing scriptures from the law prophets and the writings commonly referred to as the Old Testament. With the scriptures of the New Testament as a witness for understanding the mind of The Most High. His instructions to the path of truth and righteousness from man made doctrines and error. This lesson continues in two more tools to approach the holy word of Elohim.

4. All the Words of the Prophets
Our next Guideline is seen in the Book of Luke, where we see Yahushua talking to His Disciples. Here Yahushua reveals a great truth for us today, a valuable piece of information that has been ignored by most Bible teachers. Notice the following passage:

Then he said unto them, O fools ['foolish'], and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: (Luke 24:25)

In the above passage, Yahushua tells us that it is the 'foolish' who are slow of heart to believe [to be "DO-ers" of] all that the prophets have spoken. By contrast, being quick to believe 'all that the prophets have spoken' is the realm of the 'wise.'

This tells us that we should be "DO-ers" of all the words of the prophets, and that we can use the words of the prophets to validate truth.

We see the same principle in the book of Acts:

And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, (Acts 15:15)

In the above passage, the apostle James confirms and validates the actions and words of Simon Peter, by finding their agreement with the words of the prophets!

As if that were not enough, Peter then goes on to tell us that we too, should be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets:

This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: 2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: (2Peter 3:1-2)

If we are to avoid being among the foolish, among those who are slow of heart, our interpretation must also be in agreement with all the words of the prophets!

Let's see some Scripture examples of how we may use this guideline.

In this example, we will see how the apostle Paul believed [was a "DO-er" of] all the words of the Prophets, and that Paul exhorts us to follow his example.

What did Paul himself believe, and do?

In order to determine what Paul believed and did, we must look closely at Paul's testimony:

And this I [Paul] confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the Elohim [God] of my fathers, believing [being a "DO-er" of] all that has been written in the Torah and in the Prophets (Acts 24:14 - The Scriptures 1998)
In the above passage, Paul tells us he worships the Elohim [God] of his fathers, 'believing' [being a "DO-er" of] all things which are written in the law and in the Prophets
The apostle Paul is telling us that he is a "DO-er" of all the Words of Messiah, which include the Words Messiah spoke to Moses and all the Prophets.

But what did the Prophets speak? What did the apostle Paul do and practice? I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; 20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God. (Ezekiel 20:19-20)

In the above passage, the prophet Ezekiel looks backward, reminding us of the commandments of Torah. Now notice the words of Ezekiel that look forward prophetically, to Believers in Messiah under the New Covenant:

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. (Ezekiel 36:26-27)

And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. (Ezekiel 37:24)

In the above passages, the prophet Ezekiel confirms a New Covenant promise. Yahuweh tells us He will give us a new heart; and He will put His Spirit within the Believers, and will cause them to walk in His statutes, and keep and do His judgments. This refers to walking in obedience to all the New Covenant statutes, judgments, and commandments that are written in Torah.

Do we see Ezekiel's prophetic words as a testimony in the life of the apostle Paul?

We now know that the apostle Paul was a "DO-er" of all that has been written in the Torah and in the Prophets. We can now understand that Paul was careful to keep all the commandments, statutes, and judgments of Torah, including the Biblical Feast days and Sabbath days.

Now... Paul and his company... went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down. (Acts 13:13-14)

And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. (Acts 13:42)

And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, (Acts 17:2)

But [Paul] bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus. (Acts 18:21)

For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost. (Acts 20:16)

Defending himself, Paul said, Neither against the Torah of the Jews, nor against the sanctuary, nor against Caesar have I sinned in anything. (Acts 25:8-HRB)

Beloved, have you been taught the above information about Paul from your Bible Teachers?  If the answer is no? Why not?

Scripture tells us in detail, the reason that many Bible teachers today do not teach these Scriptures We recall that in a Biblical sense, to 'know' something is to experience that thing. So it is, that from a Biblical standpoint, it is not until we 'know' Torah by experiencing and practicing Torah, that we truly 'know' Torah. And because many Bible Teachers today have themselves been taught not to experience Torah, they do not really 'know' Torah — and according to the apostle Peter, they are unlearned!

5. No Private [Our Own, non-Biblical] Interpretation

Many have heard that we are not to have 'private' interpretation of Scripture. In order to see what this means, let us notice the following passage:

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private <2398> interpretation. (2 Peter 1:20)

In the above passage, we are told that no prophecy of the Scriptures is of any 'private' [Greek idios, Strong's Number <2398>, "privately, ones own"] interpretation. A prophecy of Scripture is any word of Scripture, whether uttered from the mouth of Yahuweh, or inspired to the writer by the Holy Spirit.

And so we are told that the interpretation of these Bible words is not to be 'our own' [non-Biblical] interpretation. And so in order for an interpretation to be true, the interpretation must find agreement with all the Biblical Guidelines of Scripture, and must not have any contradiction, when considering all of Scripture. There must also be two or three witnesses of Scripture to confirm an idea as true. If the supposed idea or interpretation seems to contradict any Scripture passage, we may then conclude that the idea is in error. We must then propose a different meaning or interpretation for that passage, so that we may find the meaning that agrees with all of Scripture.  Shema Selah let us hear, listen and apply the words of the Most High to our lives as we count up the omer!!  Facebook LIVE video

Twenty-seven "THE RULE OF THE LAW"
— I will walk about at ease, for I have turned to Your precepts. — I am Yours; save me! For I have turned to Your precepts. — Deliverance is far from the wicked, for they have not turned to Your laws. The pairing of d-r-sh with piqqudim and other words that refer to The Most High's laws has significance beyond its value. The Most High here refer to Most High's Torah. Psalm 119 is God’s law for The Most High's Rule Of The Law. Seeking Answers With Psalm 119 as a paradigm, the desire for further knowledge of Torah– whether or not it is fulfilled– is itself an occasion for prayer, an opportunity for an encounter with The Most High.

warp, or woof, or any thing of skins, to pronounce it clean, or to pronounce it unclean.

Leviticus  14:1 And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

Leviticus 14:2 This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought to the priest:

Gamel
Ancient Name: Gam
Pictograph: Foot
Meanings: Gather, Walk
Sound: G

History & Reconstruction

The earliest known pictograph for this letter is a picture of a foot. The Modern Hebrew name for this letter is gimel, an adopted root. The original name to this letter is most likely gam, the parent root of gimel. This letter is the origin of the Arabic letter Geem and the Greek gamma supporting the theory that the original name for the letter did not include the "L."

The word gam means to gather together as a group of animals gathering at the water hole to drink. The is the foot representing "walk" and the  "water" is (See the letter mem). When combined these letters mean "walk to the water."

The letter gimel has the meanings of walk, carry or gather. The sound associated with this letter is a "g" as in "go."

The Early Semitic became in the Middle Semitic script. This letter further developed to in the Late Semitic script. The Late Semitic script further developed into the Modern Hebrew ג.

The Middle Semitic script became the Greek Γ (a reversal of the letter due to direction of writing) as well as the Roman C and G. The Late Semitic became the number 3.

The Father's "House Rules" for His family.
What is the Torah? Uncommonly known to the diaspora in a vast majority. The name Torah is as foreign to the church as the policies of a foreign country to the laws of this country. Yet we read haphazardly bits of the Torah everyday. For those who read some of the scriptures such as Genesis, 1st and 2nd Samuel and Kings, Psalms as well as Proverbs, Songs of Solomon, Job and few more prophets. But to actually exclude the Torah in ones daily study. Is and will forever be gross error.

The Torah is mention and is defined as the law of Moses, the first five books of the Bible Genesis-Deuteronomy. Yet we also understand that Paul mentions the Prophets and the writings as apart of the Torah. Calling them the law, loosely translated eluding to a better translation for the teachings or instructions of El Elyon. As in the word itself and the Hebraic break down of the word Torah the word Ora in Hebrew means light and Yarah in Hebrew Meaning a archer hitting its target.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

1 Corinthians 14:37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

2 Peter 3:16  As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

What is the Testimony?

The Hebrew word eduwth is commonly translated as testimony or witness. In its most common usage, the testimony refers to the witness or testifying of a particular truth, and sometimes refers to a written record of that truth. The Testimony of Yeshua Messiah is what we seek, in all that we do — but the Testimony of Yeshua comes only by the Holy Spirit, who bears witness according to the written Words of Scripture.

The Word and the Spirit Agree

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Acts 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

Hebrews 10:15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before.

As we see in the above passages, it is the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit together, that bear witness of the Truth, bearing witness of Messiah living in and through the lives of His people. The witness of the Scriptures, and the witness of the Holy Spirit in the life of Messiah and His Disciples, are our primary witnesses and examples of New Covenant life today. In order to understand the unity of these two witnesses, of the Word and of the Holy Spirit, we must look closely at Messiah, as our example.

Messiah's mission to earth had many Scriptural goals. His all-encompassing goal was to implement the promised Everlasting [New] Covenant with His people which necessitated the shedding of His blood, and also required His death, burial, and the resurrection Isaiah 53:1-12; Deut 18:15-19).

Jerimiah 31:31-33 31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:  32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:  33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Ezekiel 36:26-27  26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.  27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Hebrew 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant

By accomplishing this one goal, Messiah brought about the Gospel of redemption and reconciliation, the forgiveness of sins, the destruction of the works of the devil, and the sending of the Holy Spirit to dwell within His people. In doing these, He also became the 'door' or entrance into His eternal Kingdom. The announcement of the fulfillment of all these Kingdom goals is called the Gospel — the Good News of the Kingdom. He thus lived His life as a confirming or attesting witness, a testimony of the Living Truth of Torah, by the witness of the Holy Spirit.

Thus we see many places in Scripture, that the Messiah can be referred to as the Living Torah

Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

Likewise, Messiah's Disciples, including the apostle Paul, lived their lives as confirming or attesting witness or testimony of the truth of Torah, and of the Gospel. They too became a testimony of Father's mercy and Grace, and of their obedience to Torah, And so the 'new' testament writings include letters that bear 'witness' to the events in the lives of Messiah and His Disciples. These writings include many exhortations for us today, so that we, too, would become witnesses or living testimonies, of these same Gospel truths. It is the witness of the Scriptures and the witness of the Holy Spirit together, that reveal the Everlasting [New] Covenant being lived out in the daily lives of the Believers.

The Testimony of Messiah
It is helpful to recall that one's testimony is composed of two parts — the words they speak, and the life they live. As the WORD of the Most High, Messiah Himself spoke all the Words of Torah, either directly to the Prophets, or indirectly through the Prophets, by inspiration of the Holy Spirit. So we see that Messiah's testimony includes all the written Scriptures, including the Torah, the Prophets, and the Writings [the T-N-K].  Summaries can say that the Testimony of Messiah is "the light given off by living in obedience to the Torah in Daily Life, as we see in Yeshua and His Disciples throughout the New Testament writings." The Testimony of Messiah Yeshua is seen when we keep the commandments of Elohim [God] — and we are told that this testimony is the spirit of prophecy!

Revelations 12:17  And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 19:9-10  9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.  10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

So the Bible itself tells us that the Torah is the Truth. We are told further that the Torah is upright, complete, and perfect and that it is holy. The commandments to the kingdom Men of Torah is our road map to life. Just as the entire bible gives a great witness and examples to follow. The Torah is Godly life instructions.

Psalms 119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

Psalms 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple

Romans 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.  Shema Selah let us consider all of the scriptures given to us to shine His brilliant light into the darkness of our understanding!  Facebook LIVE video!!

The Counting of the Omer, Day 16--Israel's Wilderness Is An Example For Us Today!!!!

Deuteronomy 8; Psalm 119

We are walking in today:  The Counting of the Omer, Day 16--Israel's Wilderness Is An Example For Us Today!!!!

Witness wilderness throughout the Bible:  H4057 midbar --wilderness, pasture, uninhabited land

Exodus 3:18 And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.
Torah:  Genesis 16:7,  21:14, 37:22; Exodus 4:27, 7:16, 16:32; Numbers 14:33; Deuteronomy 1:31
Prophets:  Isaiah 42:11, 43:19; Jeremiah 9:12; Ezekiel 20:13, 34:25
Writings:  Joshua 1:4; 2 Chronicles 1:3; Nehemiah 9:19; Psalms 65:12, 78:15, 95:8; Song of Solomon 8:5
Psalm  63:1 [[A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness H4057 of Judah.]] O God, thou art
my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

Deuteronomy 8:2 You are to remember everything of the way in which Adonai led you these forty years in the desert, humbling and testing you in order to know what was in your heart — whether you would obey his mitzvoth or not.

Psalm 119:121-128
ע (‘Ayin)

121 I have done what is just and right; don’t abandon me to my oppressors.
122 Guarantee your servant’s well-being; don’t let the arrogant oppress me.
123 My eyes fail from watching for your salvation and for [the fulfillment of] your righteous promise.
124 Deal with your servant in accordance with your grace, and teach me your laws.
125 I am your servant; give me understanding, so that I can know your instruction.
126 The time has come for Adonai to act, because they are breaking your Torah.
127 Therefore I love your mitzvoth more than gold, more than fine gold.
128 Thus I direct my steps by [your] precepts; every false way I hate.

Ancient Name: ayin
Pictograph: Eye
Meanings: Watch, Know, Shade
Sound: Silent

History & Reconstruction
The Ancient picture for this letter is a picture of an eye. This letter represents the ideas of seeing and watching as well as knowledge, as the eye is the window of knowledge.

The name of the letter is ayin, a Semitic word meaning eye. This letter is silent in Modern Hebrew. There is no indication that the ancient Semitic had a sound for this letter as well and appears to have been silent in the past. The Greek language assigned the vowel sound "o" to the letter and may be the origin of the number 0. As Hebrew did not have one letter for the "o" sound the Greeks took this silent letter and converted it into a vowel.

The early Semitic evolved into the simpler in the middle Semitic and remained the same into the late Semitic period. This letter evolved into the ע in the Modern Hebrew script. The middle Semitic became the O in Greek and Latin.

Entering the Kingdom: The Wilderness Testing of the Believers

The Scriptures reveal that Yahweh tests His people, to determine who may enter in, and who may not. Yahweh’s testing is a continual process of teaching, testing, discerning, and separating. We will begin by looking at the future, end-time picture of the City of Yahweh, where we see some who are allowed to enter in and some are not allowed in, but are kept outside the City:

Revelation 22:14  Blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Revelation 22:15  For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes a lie.

The City of Yahweh speaks of the close-in realm of His Kingdom, and the place of His dwelling, also known as His People. Here we see that not everyone will be allowed into the City, but some must remain outside. So how does Yahweh determine who will, and who will not, be allowed to enter in?

When we were in school, we were first taught, then were tested continually. Yahweh likewise puts His people through continual teaching and testing. He then gives them a “Final Exam” just before “Graduation” time. In this writing, we will look at the ongoing testing Yahweh’s people must undergo.

The Israelites — Our Example
The versus of Deuteronomy 8:2-3 gives us a clue of our teaching and testing for today’s talmidim. El Elyon caused His people to wander in the wilderness for 40 years, to test them on only ONE issue: to see whether they would, or would not, keep His commandments. If Israel is our example, we should expect to see the same pattern for us today.

Deuteronomy 8:2-3 2 You are to remember everything of the way in which Adonai led you these forty years in the desert, humbling and testing you in order to know what was in your heart — whether you would obey his mitzvoth or not.  3 He humbled you, allowing you to become hungry, and then fed you with man, which neither you nor your ancestors had ever known, to make you understand that a person does not live on food alone but on everything that comes from the mouth of Adonai.

The Same Example: But with Grace to Succeed

There are two chapters (chapters 3 and 4) of Hebrews devoted to warning the Believers of today. Here we are told that Israel is our example, and we are reminded over and over again, exactly why they could not enter in, as a warning to us today. Israel in the Wilderness is our example today! The difference is that for us today, we have the ability given to us by “Messiah-in-you,” His Grace from within, to succeed, where the Israelites failed. The entire focus of the New Covenant is on “Messiah-in-you,” and on His enabling grace to do His will, so that He might bring us in to the City! Let’s look closely at this testing, to see if Scripture might confirm some of these ideas. Part of Yahweh’s purpose is to test His people, in order to determine, and separate, those whom He will bring into His Kingdom, from those whom He will not bring in.

The Testing of the Virgins
Yeshua gives us further insight into this testing, in the Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins. Notice there were two groups of five virgins, all of them together, awaiting the Bridegroom’s arrival. As soon as the foolish virgins separate themselves over the oil, the Bridegroom arrives, and the wise enter in with the Bridegroom. Yeshua then tells us the Test results, after the five Wise Virgins have gone in with the Bridegroom. Yeshua then tells us the Test results, after the five Wise Virgins have gone in with the Bridegroom:

But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. (Matthew 25:12) The above response by Yeshua tells us that a New Covenant (Eternal, or “Everlasting Covenant”) Issue had been violated. The only Everlasting Covenant issues of “knowing” are those seen here in scripture:

Exodus 31:13, 16  13 “Tell the people of Israel, ‘You are to observe my Shabbats; for this is a sign between me and you through all your generations; so that you will know that I am Adonai, who sets you apart for me.  16 The people of Israel are to keep the Shabbat, to observe Shabbat through all their generations as a perpetual covenant.

Ezekiel 20:12 I gave them my Shabbats as a sign between me and them, so that they would know that I, Adonai, am the one who makes them holy.

Ezekiel 20:20  and keep my Shabbats holy; and they will be a sign between me and you, so that you will know that I am Adonai your God.”

The “sign” of those who take hold of Yeshua’s Everlasting Covenant is that they “do His will” — as seen in the above Exodus and Ezekiel passages: they hallow “My Sabbaths.” This is very important — this is a Key issue! Notice these are not “Jewish” Sabbaths — they are HIS Sabbaths! They include all the Festivals listed in Leviticus 23:1-44.

But let’s look for further Scripture confirmation of the Virgins’ testing. An earlier passage sheds more light on the nature of this test:

Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity

Again, we see an issue of “not knowing,” but this time we are told it is related to “iniquity.” The word “iniquity” used here is the Greek word ‘anomia,’ Strong’s number G458, meaning “lawlessness” or “transgressing the Law, either because of ignorance of the Law, or because of violating the Law.” Thus we see confirmation that “transgressing the Law” had occurred. It must have been related to the covenant issue of “KNOWING,” in order for the Bridegroom to have said, “I never KNEW you.” When the Sabbaths are not kept, the Law is transgressed. John tells us that this transgression of the Law is “sin” by the new Testament Definition! So the Virgins are tested, and separated based on their ‘anomia’.

1 John 3:4 Everyone who keeps sinning is violating Torah — indeed, sin is violation of Torah.

All Who Enter the Kingdom Are Tested

This testing is not an issue of Salvation — of “coming out” by the Blood — but it is an issue of “entering in.” It is also not an issue of things that one “must” do, for under the New Covenant there is nothing “required” or mandatory. No, the testing is simply a matter of Yahweh looking to see who will choose those things that please Him, without being compelled to do so. The testing of the Believers in the “Wilderness” is an ongoing process that has been going on for 40 jubilees at this writing. The Believers will be either allowed or refused entry, based on their actions of keeping, or ignoring, Yahweh’s commandments. The time is almost here for us to take the “final exams” prior to entering in to the Kingdom!  Shema Selah, we must look to know the way of the wise virgins, this is relationship no longer religion!!  Facebook LIVE video
