The prophets proclaim..................
Isaiah 44:21
Remember H2142 these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me.
The writings bear witness...........................
1Chronicles 16:12
Remember H2142 his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
The “Last Supper” & “Holy Communion” Exposed!
Most of us have seen the famous painting by Leonardo DaVinci’ called “The Last Supper.” As a matter of fact, there have been countless conspiracies surrounding the “The Holy Grail” (which supposedly is the cup that our Machiach drank from). We have seen the occult world dream up all kinds of theories about the magical powers surrounding this cup, with movies such as “The DaVinci Code.”
People who have grown up in a Roman Catholic Grade School, is all too familiar with the images of Leonardo DaVinci’s “Last Supper” paintings which were strewn everywhere I went.
They were taught by the nuns that this event called “The Last Supper” was the institution of a BRAND NEW ORDINANCE called “HOLY COMMUNION,” wherein our Machiach offered up his body and blood in the form of a little round wafer and a cup of grape juice.
The nuns did not teach them that our Machiach was the Passover Lamb, slain for us (1st Corinthians 5:7). They did not tell them that he was the UNLEAVENED BREAD from heaven, symbolizing his sinless life (John 6:32-58).
There was no mention of the First Passover where Yisra’el (Israel) was delivered out of Egyptian Slavery. Neither was the connection made between that First Passover in Egypt to our Machiach who became that fulfillment of the Passover Lamb as he delivered us from SLAVERY TO SIN!
And even now, within Messianic & Hebraic groups (just like the Catholic Church), people are still trying to separate our Machiach from the Passover Meal by claiming that he was only eating a LAST SUPPER!
Our Machiach was not giving us a brand new ordinance called “Holy Communion” when he said “As often as you do this, do this in IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME” (1st Corinthians 11:24-25; Luke 22:19).
Instead, he was repeating the commandment to remember what he did for us at the first Passover, and what he was about to do for us in the Renewed Covenant Passover:
Exodus 13:3 “REMEMBER this day, in which you came out from Egypt...”
The Roman Church invented a brand new ordinance called “Holy Communion,” citing that this was a brand new commandment. However, the Greek word “communion” (koinonia) simply means “fellowship.”
In 1st Corinthians 10:16, the Apostle Shaul (Paul) was not describing a “Eucharist communion wafer.” He was talking about the fellowship or “partnership” we have with Machiach and his sacrifice when we partake of the “Cup of Blessing,” which is one of the four cups at a typical Hebrew Seder Passover Meal!
By treating this meal as a separate ordinance, we are agreeing with the Vatican that this was not a Passover Meal, but instead it was called “Holy Communion” or the “The Last Supper!”
In Luke 22:15, our Machiach knew that he was going to suffer and die as the Passover Lamb the next day, and yet he told his disciples that he “Desired to eat the Passover with them BEFORE HE SUFFERED.”
It was not as if his Passover Meal plans got derailed, or that he was caught off guard when he was arrested that night. He knew that he was going to eat a Passover Meal and then suffer the next day.
Listen to what he said:
Luke 22:15 “With desire I have desired to EAT THIS PASSOVER WITH YOU BEFORE I SUFFER.”
He knew he as about to suffer, so it is not as if he planned to eat it, but then his plans were derailed.
This begs the question: “How could he believe that he could eat a Passover Meal with them, and then also become the Passover, all withing the same 24 hours?
The answer is simple.
He knew that Exodus 12:6 commands that the lambs be killed “between the two evenings” or “between the two sunsets” on the 14th of Abib!
The English translators translated this command as follows:
Exodus 12:6 And you shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
The phrase “In the evening,” in Hebrew is “Beyn ha’erebiym” which translated literally means “Between the two evenings.”
Our Machiach knew that this commandment gave him the ability to do both “eat the Passover” and then “become the Passover” all within the same 24-hour period of the 14th of Abib!
One of the reasons why I believe Yah designed Passover to be this way is because in the original covenant made with Abraham, Yah walked with Abraham “Between the two pieces” of the animal sacrifices!
Do you think that the disciples went to the Temple to eat a Passover Meal after watching the bloody, gruesome death of their Machiach?
I hardly think so!
As a matter of fact, the Apostle John was there at his crucifixion, but he was not at the Temple standing in line waiting to have his lamb slaughtered!
And what does the Torah say about those who do not partake of the Passover Lamb?
It says that they shall be cut off from the Congregation of Yisra’el!
What conclusion can we come to?
The disciples had already eaten their Passover Meal the night before with their Machiach and then the next day, they witnessed him being killed as the Passover Lamb!
Imagine the compassion that he showed towards his disciples by allowing them to partake of a very intimate and private Passover with him, knowing full well that they would be grief-stricken the next day, and unable to keep their composure at the Temple with all those who had plotted their master’s murder!
Not to mention, the disciples were in danger of being arrested and killed themselves for being his followers!
For both of these reasons, it is highly unlikely that they would have shown their faces at the Temple to eat the Passover on the 15th of Abib, while their Machiach was being buried!
I don’t know about you, but I would have been bawling my eyes out, and wailing in grief after having witnessed my beloved Machiach’s brutal torture. There is no way that I would have been able to eat a meal, (much less keep quiet and act cheerful at the Temple), especially if I had caught just one glimpse of the High Priest Caiaphas. I would have wanted to lunge at him and rip his head off!
In First Century Jerusalem, there were TWO EVENINGS for slaughtering, because the Sadducee’s & Samaritans believed in eating the Passover Meal on the 14th of Abib, while the Pharisees ate the Passover on the 15th of Abib.
Yah in his eternal wisdom, designed the Passover to be killed BETWEEN THE EVENINGS or BETWEEN THE TWO SUNSETS on the 14th of Abib.
He did this ON PURPOSE so that in the future, our Machiach would first EAT THE PASSOVER and then also BECOME THE PASSOVER all on the 14th of Abib!
There are TWO EVENINGS on the 14th of Abib for slaughtering lambs because there are TWO HOUSES of Yisra’el!
The reason this is so important, is because people are beginning to cast doubt on the validity of the Briyth Chadashah (New Testament), and many have left our Machiach because of this.
The main reason people are confused about this is because of the phrase “between the two evenings” (beyn ha’erebiym).
If you look up the two words (between & evening), it literally means “between the two sunsets!”
This phrase is not limited to the time of the evening sacrifice from twelve noon until sundown, (although it can also mean that as well).
Yah designed Passover in the same way as he did Yom Kippur as it is “from evening to evening” (the evening of the 9th of Tishri into the 10th of Tishri).
Yah knew that in the future, they were going to need 24 hours (from sunset to sunset) on the 14th of Abib to slaughter thousands of lambs from those traveling to Jerusalem.
I am merely speculating here, but I believe that the Passover being killed between the two sunsets, is hinting at the idea that the covenant made with Abraham was at sundown, just as the Renewed covenant made with our Machiach and his disciples was also at sundown on the 14th of Abib. In between the Abrahamic Covenant, and the Renewed Covenant of Machiach, there was the first Passover in Egypt, which was the Mosaic Covenant. These three covenants are symbolized by the three animals used in Genesis 15:9. The ram symbolizes Passover, and the she-goat symbolizes Yom Kippur. The red heifer brings these two sacrifices together as one. In other words, the smoking furnace symbolizes the burning of the ashes of the heifer commanded in Numbers 19.
It is the ashes of the red heifer that sanctifies the altar in the Temple, and it is the ashes of the red heifer that purifies Israel. The red heifer qualifies the she-goat to be the atonement for Israel, and it also qualifies the ram to be the substitute for Israel, the first-born son.
The entire chapter of Isaiah 58 hints of Yom Kippur language as it speaks about fasting on the Sabbath day (referring to the High Sabbath of Yom Kippur). It ends with a prophecy about the future restoration of Israel, and how there will be a reparation of the “Gap” or “Breach” in the broken covenant with Both Houses of Israel. Yah showed Abraham in advance that there would be a breach or a gap in the covenant, resulting in Israel becoming two separate nations. This is why a smoking furnace “Passed between those pieces!”
What were these animal sacrifices?
Genesis 15:
9 And he said unto him, Take me a heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.
*Note: the three-year old red heifer is for the cleansing of the altar (see Numbers 19). The she-goat is the Yom Kippur atonement for Israel (see Leviticus 16). And finally, the ram is the substitute offering for Isaac, the first-born son of Abraham (Genesis 22:13). Our Machiach had a ministry that lasted 3.5 years. All three of these sacrifices point us to him. Please see the blog entitled: Who Confirms the Covenant of Daniel’s 70th Week?
Genesis 15:
10 And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not.
11 And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away.
12 And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.
13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that your seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
15 And you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shalt be buried in a good old age.
16 But in the fourth generation they shall come here again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.
17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.
18 In the same day Yah made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates.
So you see, the idea of there being “two sunsets” on Passover wherein lambs maybe slaughtered, illustrates thebreach or the gap between the divided House of Israel being repaired!
Additionally, the fact that it is to be done on the 14th day of the first month of Abib also points to the fourteen years that Jacob worked for Rachel & Leah (the two mothers of the twelve tribes of Israel). The first month symbolizes the first-born sons of Israel.
Our Machiach fulfilled the pattern of the Red Heifer, the Passover Lamb, and the Yom Kippur twin goats, in order to repair the breach or the gap between both Houses of Israel.
The Roman Catholic Church has changed the names of these events to “The Last Supper & Holy Communion,” thus destroying the prophetic picture of our Machiach as the Passover Lamb, as well as the Red Heifer, and the Yom Kippur she-goat.
Without these prophetic shadow pictures, it is impossible to see our Machiach as the one who would “Repair the breech between the two sunsets” on Passover. His role as the Red Heifer was like the burning lamp walking between the two pieces, thus restoring the two houses of Israel!
Was it Passover or the Last Supper?
Have you ever wondered why Modern-day Judaism observes the Feast of Passover & the Feast of Unleavened Bread as if they are just ONE FEAST?
If Yah commands us to keep SEVEN FEASTS, annually, why do so many behave as if there are only SIX FEASTS by combining Passover and Unleavened Bread into one feast on the night of the 15th of Abib?
During Passover Week, there are Three DISTINCT FEASTS on three SEPARATE NIGHTS:
1.) Pesach (Passover) on the night of the 14th of Abib/Nisan.
2.) Unleavened Bread (Matzah), on the 15th of Abib/Nisan.
3.) First-Fruits (Yom haBikkuriym) on the 1st day of the week following the Passover.
The historical truth is, the two feasts were kept on two separate and distinct nights, until after the Babylonian Captivity.
“When the Jews returned from Babylon under Ezra, they first observed two days, the first for Passover and the second for the first day of the Feast [of Unleavened Bread]. But in a later shift, they merged Passover and Unleavened Bread.”
The article states in another section:
“The Jews freely admit that the Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread were at one time two separate festivals. However, following their return from Babylon, the two were merged into one observance, and Passover is now kept by Jews on Abib 15. That they kept Passover a day late is clear from John’s Evangel.”
“Then led they Yahshua from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the Passover” (John 18:28).
The Encyclopedia Judaica admits that the Jews have fused the two observances and now keep Passover a day late on the 15th, observing it along with the first day of Unleavened Bread:
“The feast of Passover consists of two parts: the Passover ceremony, and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Originally, both parts existed separately; but at the beginning of the exile they were combined” (Vol. 13, “Passover,” p. 169).
The Torah makes it clear that we are commanded to celebrate each of these feasts distinctly on the 14th & the 15th (Passover & Unleavened Bread). The Feast of First-Fruits/Resurrection Day is to be kept on the day after the weekly Sabbath following the Passover. And finally, we are to observe the last night of Unleavened Bread on the 21st.
*Note: First-fruits does not always fall on the 18th of Abib, but it did fall on the 18th at the first Passover in Egypt and also at the last Passover of our Machiach.
Leviticus 23:9-16 says that the Feast of First-Fruits is to take place on the day after the WEEKLY SABBATH FOLLOWING PASSOVER.
Some people think that it means the HIGH SABBATH of Unleavened Bread. However, this is easily cleared up by knowing that the Hebrew word for the weekly Sabbath is “Shabbat” (#H7676 in the Strong’s Concordance).
And the annual high Sabbath is called “Shabbatown” (#H7677 in the Strong’s Concordance).
Spring Feast #1 Celebrated on the 14th of Abib:
On the night of the 14th of Abib (Passover), we commemorate when the death angel PASSED OVER the homes of the Israelites in Egypt.
We also commemorate on the very same night of the 14th of Abib (Passover), when our Machiach caused us to PASS OVER from the BROKEN COVENANT into the RENEWED COVENANT (Jeremiah 31:31-33; Hebrews 8:8-10 & 10:16), as he held up the cup of wine and said the following words:
Mattithyahuw (Matthew) 26:28 For this is my blood of the Renewed Covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
*Note: This was NOT the last supper, this was a true rite of passage called Passover!
Spring Feast #2 Celebrated on the 15th of Abib:
On the night of the 15th of Abib (Unleavened Bread), we remember when Israel DEPARTED out of Egypt.
We also remember on the 15th of Abib (Unleavened Bread), that our Machiach DEPARTED after he died, and went to the lowest parts of the earth, and gave gifts unto men (see Ephesians 4:8-9).
Exodus 12:42 refers to this night of the 15th of Abib as “A NIGHT TO BE MUCH OBSERVED.”
“It is a night to be much observed unto Yah for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of Yah to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.”
Spring Feast #3 Originally Celebrated on the 18th of Abib:
*Note: In the year that Israel crossed the Red Sea (after a 3-day journey from Egypt), and also in the year that our Machiach died, it happened to be three days after Unleavened Bread. However, First-Fruits does not always fall three days after Unleavened Bread. As previously explained, we are commanded to observe First-Fruits on the first day of the week following the weekly Sabbath that follows the Passover.
Three Days later, on the 18th of Abib, (First-Fruits), we remember that Israel CROSSED OVER from DEATH TO LIFE as they walked across the Yam Cuwph (Sea of Reeds) aka The Red Sea.
They first DESCENDED into the depths of the sea, and then they ASCENDED as they reached the other side to victory and life.
Three days later, on the 18th of Abib, (First-Fruits), we remember that our Machiach CROSSED OVER from DEATH TO LIFE as he TOOK THE KEYS OF DEATH & HELL AWAY FROM THE DEVIL, and then he ASCENDED to the throne in heaven where he presented before the Father, those souls who were his FIRST-FRUITS from among the dead.
Thus he resurrected, and caused others to resurrect with him (see Matthew 27:53-53, Romans 8:23; 16:6; Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 4:8-9; Revelation 1:18).
Our Machiach first DESCENDED to the lowest parts of the earth, and then he also ASCENDED to the Father to present his wave sheaf offering of souls as his first-fruits!
One final thought, for those who are still confused:
The 14th of Abib (Passover) is a preparation day, indeed. However, the Feast of Unleavened Bread is inclusive of all eight days (the 14th of Abib through the 21st of Abib is eight days). The Passover Lamb Slaughter is a separate ordinance from the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The slaughter took place in Egypt at the beginning of the 14th---not at the end of the 14th.
Yah designed it to be “between the evenings” (or between the two sunsets on the 14th of Abib). In Hebrew the term is “beyn ha’erebiym” (between the two evenings).
Some people think that this term means “between the morning and evening sacrifice,” and indeed, it does mean this as well---in some cases. However, because of the events of the Exodus in Egypt, we have to conclude that this term “beyn ha’erebiym” (between the evenings) means between the two sunsets on the 14th of Abib. Remember, there was no temple in Egypt, so there was no precedence yet for the “morning and evening sacrifice.”
Why did Yah design it to be this way? Because he knew that later on in history there would be Two Houses of Yisra’el, and they were going to have two evenings for slaughtering in 1st Century Jerusalem.
The Sadducees slaughtered their lambs on the evening of the 14th (just after the sun went down on the 13th). The Pharisees did it just before the sun went down on the 15th, the following evening.
Additionally, each family did a personal lamb slaughter at their homes on the night of the 14th, and then the following night of the 15th, they celebrated at the Temple and did a community Passover Meal.
Yahusha had to eat the Passover Meal the night before he died, otherwise he was in violation of the Torah, and therefore unfit to be the sinless Lamb of The Most High the next day!

THE GOOD FRIDAY MYTH: YOU DO THE MATH PART 2
Exodus chapter 12
Today we are walking in: The Good Friday Myth Part 2
Today we look to the word-DAY- H3117 yowm--day, time, year, as a division of time, as defined by evening and morning in Genesis 1, as a division of time
The Torah testifies.........……
Deuteronomy 11:21
That your days H3117 may be multiplied, and the days H3117 of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days H3117 of heaven upon the earth.
The prophets proclaim..................
Nehemiah 8:11
So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day H3117 is holy; neither be ye grieved.
The writings bear witness............
Psalm 90:12
So teach us to number our days, H3117 that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
One can imagine that Mary (the mother of James) asked Mary Magdalene, “Who would roll away the stone?” as they approached the tomb, since Mary Magdalene had not mentioned that she had been there earlier and saw the empty grave. Then she went and told the disciples that she saw the angel and saw Yahusha. What any reader should realize is that the Holy Spirit gave us the four gospels with fragments of the story in each, and it takes a study of all together, to arrive at the complete picture. The following verse clearly shows us that Mary Magdalene came to the grave as the weekly Sabbath was ending.
(Matthew) 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first [day] of the week, came Miryam (Mary) Magdalene and the other Miryam (Mary) to see the sepulchre.
Bishop Papias was an early church bishop in Syria and he wrote that the book of Matthew was originally written in Aramaic, and then translated into Greek by the apostles. Irenaeus and Clement also mentioned seeing the original Aramaic of the book of Matthew.
We have some precedence and evidence that at least some of the New Testament books were first written in Aramaic, and translated by the apostles into Greek, and Matthew is one of them. I say all of this because the Aramaic of Matthew 28:1 is much clearer than the Greek. A literal, word for word translation of the Aramaic directly to English is as follows (commas separate meaning of each word):
(Matthew) 28:1 “…in the evening, at Sabbath, when went up, the beginning (the dawning), belonging, to the last of, in the Sabbath, arrived, Miryam, the Magdalene, and Miryam, the different (the other), came to see, the tomb (the grave).”
It is obvious by repeating “The Sabbath” twice, that it is making the point that it was at twilight that Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to the tomb. By stressing “The last of the Sabbath,” the verse drives home the point that this was Saturday evening, but that the twilight period still belonged to the Sabbath.
There were no streetlights then, and no flashlights, so if the full moon had not yet risen, then when it got dark, it got really dark, really fast. The two Mary’s had just enough time to look around and leave. No one can read the Peshitta Aramaic of Matthew 28:1 and mistake it for any other understanding than that the Mary’s arrived at the tomb at twilight on Saturday evening and the stone had already been rolled away.
Why didn’t the two Mary’s try to anoint the body of Yahusha on Friday, since they had prepared the spices and perfumes on Friday before the weekly Sabbath began? It is because in Matthew 27:62-66, Pilate had given the Roman order to have the grave sealed on Thursday morning, and they had put the Roman seal on it and posted guards until the 3 days were complete. Therefore, if the two Mary’s had tried to anoint the body on Friday, they would have broken the law and been arrested. They waited until after the 3 days, so as to avoid arrest. The apostles were all in hiding at the time, fearing possibly of their own arrest, so it fell to the two Mary’s to anoint the body.
The fact is that the Last Supper celebrated with the bread and wine by Yahusha and the disciples took place on the evening of the third day of the week (we would say Tuesday evening). He was crucified on a Wednesday and was in the grave 3 days and 3 nights. He rose from the dead late on the Sabbath. Finally, He revealed Himself to Mary Magdalene and the disciples on the first day of the week, shortly after sunrise. Of course this means that we have a Palm Saturday and NOT a Palm Sunday.
It also means that Yahusha performed the sign He said He would, and that Sunday being “The Lord’s Day” is a fabrication of the bishop of Rome. In due time, even the keeping of the Passover bread and wine remembrance was outlawed with ex-communication.
Yahusha rose again on the Sabbath and was crucified on a Wednesday. No wonder why HaSatan has used the Catholic Church to change all of these dates!
In the 3rd Century, Constantine, the Roman Emperor changed the Sabbath day to Sunday for the pagan “sun-god,” and this is why the Roman Catholic Church has had to change all other calendar dates in order to force our Messiah to resurrect on Easter Sunday!
In reality, this was not a on a Sunday. Our Messiah rode through the streets of Jerusalem on a Sabbath day, and it can be proven by counting backwards to the 10th day of Abib. The commandment in Exodus 12:3 is to select the lamb for Passover on the 10th day of the first month of Abib (Nisan). Counting backwards from Wednesday, Abib 14, we land on the 10th of Abib, which was on the weekly Sabbath day!
As the Lamb of The Most High, Yahusha was selected as the acceptable lamb for slaughter following the triumphal entry, when the chief priests met to determine his death on the Sabbath. He was laid in the tomb as the annual Sabbath was beginning. On the following weekly Sabbath, (as it was ending), Yahusha rose from the dead. This is consistent with his teaching that he is the “Lord of the Sabbath.”
There have been many believers in a Wednesday crucifixion, from the time of the early church until now. We now know that the Bible teaches a Wednesday crucifixion, so the reader now must face the facts of the Bible as compared to the traditions of men.
At the same time, I say that this does not determine salvation, for I know that there will be millions who have believed the Friday crucifixion hoax. Also, a superficial reading of the gospels does tend to lead one to the conclusion of a Friday crucifixion, when read separately, so one cannot blame the majority of believers for this false belief.
The learned reader might say that the Passover as kept today cannot fall on a Wednesday, in the Hebrew calendar. That is the case today, but then neither does First Fruits (wave offering) or the Feast of Weeks (Pentecost) occur on the first day of the week in the Hebrew calendar. The reason is a matter of history. There was a controversy between the Phariseean and Sadduceean way of keeping these important feast days. At the time of Yahusha, the Sadducees were the high priests and kept the days according to our present Hebrew understanding from the Torah.
For example, the Sadducees believed that First Fruits always fell on the first day of the week, which meant that Pentecost also fell on the first day of the week. While the Pharisees believed that First Fruits fell on the 16th of Abib (Nisan), the day after the annual Sabbath, leading to Pentecost on various days of the week. At the time of Yahusha, the Sadduceean keeping of the feasts was in effect, but after the dispersion, the more numerous and stricter Pharisees perpetuated their understanding of Hebrewism. They were the ancestors of modern day Orthodox Hebrews and are the keepers of the calendar today. Their rules have supplanted the days as kept in the time of Yahusha.
Jesus died on a Wednesday,” I’ve decided to add this part 2, to point out the explanation for ALL individual verses that readers have raised. There is not one verse that disproves the Wednesday afternoon crucifixion of Yahusha. While that’s a strong statement, you be the judge.
First, let’s review the scenario proven in part 1. The Last Supper was held on a Tuesday evening. On Wednesday the 14th of Abib/Nisan, Yahusha was crucified, and died late in the afternoon. Joseph of Arimathea received permission from Pilate and took down the body of Yahusha from the crucifixion stake, probably with Nicodemus’ help. The scriptural record states that Joseph and Nicodemus worked together.
Nicodemus had brought about 100 lbs. of myrrh and aloes. They wrapped the body in a sheet (shroud) and bound it with the myrrh and aloes. It was already getting dark, so they had to hurry, because the annual Sabbath was beginning, the first day of Unleavened Bread on the 15th of Abib (Nisan), which was a Thursday.
Watching all this a short distance away were Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses. Joseph had a new garden tomb that had never been used nearby. They laid the body of Yahusha in the tomb and rolled the stone over the entrance to the tomb. The next morning the Jewish leaders met with Pilate and received permission to seal and guard the tomb, so that his disciples couldn’t steal the body and say Yahusha had risen from the dead.
They sealed the tomb and posted guards (on Thursday). The women including Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of Joses, and Mary the mother of James and Salome, bought spices on Friday and prepared them. They bought spices on the day after a Sabbath (the annual Sabbath), and after preparing them on Friday, rested on the weekly Sabbath on Saturday. As the weekly Sabbath was ending late on Saturday afternoon, Mary Magdalene and one of the other Marys’ came to the tomb to anoint the body. Since it was already almost dark, or was dark, all they saw was that the stone had been rolled away and nobody was there.
Yahusha died on Wednesday afternoon and was laid in the grave as the annual Sabbath was beginning. He was in the grave Wednesday night, Thursday day, Thursday night, Friday day, Friday night, and Saturday day. Therefore, He was in the grave 3 days and 3 nights. He was resurrected late on the weekly Sabbath on Saturday. Therefore, He rose on the third day. Also, it was after 3 days and 3 nights. Those are the incontrovertible facts from the scriptural record.
I’d like to face the most troublesome verse first (Luke 24:21), that of the two men walking to Emmaus on Sunday, who were later joined by a stranger who explained all the scriptures to them. We know they were walking on Sunday, the first day of the week, because it is clearly stated so in Luke 24:1, where the sequence of events started.
(Luke) 24:21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Yisra’el; and besides all this, today is the third day since these things were done.
Yes, the walk to Emmaus was on a Sunday, but it is a misunderstanding and a mistranslation that Sunday was the third day since the crucifixion. Instead of writing down the verse in Greek, (which most of you don’t know), I decided that I ought to use what others have shown concerning this verse (Luke 24:21), which will have greater weight with you.
The Greek word for “since” after “the third day” in Luke 24:21 actually means “away from.” Away from is the same as our “after.”
Yahusha died late on a Wednesday afternoon and was laid in the grave at sundown on Wednesday as Thursday was beginning. He was in the grave for 3 days and 3 nights beginning on Wednesday night, Thursday night, and Friday night and Thursday day, Friday day, and Saturday day using our reckoning of days and nights. He rose as the Sabbath was ending. So He was in the grave 3 days and 3 nights and rose after 3 days and 3 nights while the Sabbath was ending. So He rose on the third day. Sunday is therefore the 4th day. The actual literal Greek translation of Luke 24:21 is:
“But surely also together with all these things, it brings a third day away from which all these things occurred.”
Translators take the cumbersome literal translation and make it flow, taking some liberty with it, but trying to retain accuracy. The 4th day is “away from” the third day. So it is apparent that the verse is literally saying they were walking and talking after the third day, which was Sunday. However, have other translators understood this point too? Yes, let’s look at 3 of them. (Luke 24:21)
“....but he is dead, and that is three days ago!”
“Moreover, three days have already passed, since all these events occurred.”
“...and lo, three days have passed since all these things have occurred.”
There is exceedingly ample evidence that the correct translation for Luke 24:21 is that the KJV should read, “Today is after the third day since these things were done.” As the information above shows, the oldest and multiple original manuscripts show that “away from” is the correct word for since, and shows us that they were talking about Sunday being the 4th day since Yahusha was laid in the grave. That troubled them; because He has clearly said many times that He would rise on the third day, after 3 days and 3 nights.
He would fulfill the sign of Jonah, as Jonah was 3 days and 3 nights in the great fish, so Yahusha would be 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth. These two disciples were challenged in their faith; because it appeared that Yahusha’s many prophecies concerning His being raised from the dead had failed. They were going back to Emmaus in defeat, when a stranger joined them.
This stranger explained to them all the prophecies concerning the Messiah from the Bible (Tanakh or Old Testament). They did not recognize that it was Yahusha, the risen Messiah talking to them. Only when they sat down to eat and He blessed the bread and gave it to them, were their eyes opened and they recognized Him as Yahusha. He then instantly disappeared from them. The next set of verses raised by readers all say the exact same, that He would rise on the third day. The answer is that He did rise from the dead on the third day, late on Saturday afternoon. First, a verse that tells us that He rose as the Sabbath was ending on Saturday afternoon:
(Matthew) 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first [day] of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
The dawning of a new date in the biblical and Hebrew day reckoning is at twilight as it is getting dark, not first light in the morning. The Sabbath ended at sundown, and the two Mary’s came to look at the gravesite after the Sabbath ended. Yahusha had already risen.
Therefore, the Bible teaches He rose on the third day, on the Sabbath, regardless of what your tradition or any later creed states. Now let’s show all the verses where Yahusha said He would rise on the third day, or those afterwards that state He did rise on the third day.
(Matthew) 16:21 From that time forth began Yahusha to show unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Yerushalayim (Jerusalem), and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
(Matthew) 17:23 And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.
(Matthew) 20:19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.
(Matthew) 27:64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.
(Mark) 9:31 For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.
(Mark) 10:34 And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.
(Luke) 9:22 Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.
(Luke) 13:32 And he said unto them, Go You, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures today and tomorrow, and on the third day I shall be perfected.
(Luke) 18:33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.
(Luke) 24:7 Saying, the Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
(Luke) 24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Messiah to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day.
(Acts) 10:40 Him The Most High raised up the third day, and showed him openly;
(1 Corinthians) 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
All of the above verses state a prediction that he would be raised on the third day, or that some feared it coming true, or after-wards stated that it had come true. [Matthew 16:21; 17:23; 20:19; 27:64; Mark 9:31; 10:34; Luke 9:22; 13:32; 18:33; 24:7; 24:46; Acts 10:40; and 1st Corinthians 15:4].
The scriptural facts show that Yahusha rose from the grave late on the Sabbath, late on Saturday afternoon. This was 3 days and 3 nights AFTER He had been crucified, and it was also the third day. The first day being Thursday; the second day being Friday; and the third day being Saturday.
Somehow we modern people have trouble juggling the concept of the biblical day running from evening to evening, with that of the civil day from midnight to midnight.
Actually, Luke 13:32 above is often translated differently, where instead of the word “perfected,” they translate it as “reach my goal.”
The verse then tells the story of Yahusha saying that He would cast out devils and heal the sick for the next two days, and then reach Jerusalem on the third day. That’s what happened, and in context, the KJV translation is less satisfactory.
There are yet a few other verses that apply to the Wednesday crucifixion:
(Matthew) 24:63 “…Saying, Sir, we remember that the deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days, I will rise again.”
(Matthew) 26:61 “....able to destroy this temple of The Most High, and build it in three days…..”
(Mark) 8:31 “....and be killed, and after three days rise again.”
(Mark) 14:58 “...and in three days I will build another made without hands.”
(Mark) 15:58 “...to destroy the Temple and rebuild it in three days.”
(John) 2:19-21 “…and in three days I will raise it up.”
All these verses are answered the same way. Yahusha did rise from the grave on the third day, late on the Sabbath. He did rise after three days; Thursday, Friday, then Saturday. It was 3 full days and 3 full nights AFTER He died. There are NO verses that cannot be reconciled to the Wednesday afternoon crucifixion. The verse Yahusha so often referred to from Jonah, was where Jonah was in the great fish 3 days and 3 nights.
(Jonah) 1:17 Now The Most High Yah had prepared a great fish to swallow up Yonah (Jonah). And Yonah (Jonah) was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
(Matthew) 12:40 For as Yonah (Jonah) was three days and three night’s in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be.
Pastors are also fond of using allegories and allusions to teach a concept or doctrine, and perhaps Luke 2:46 ought to be a direct allusion to the 12-year old Yahusha being found AFTER 3 days.
(Luke) 2:46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
Why should this story be a direct allusion to be used by pastors to teach the resurrection?
Note that in Luke 2:41, that the feast they went to was the Passover. So Yahusha disappearing for 3 days was a direct showing of what would later occur in His life!
And it was done at the same feast, and He did appear to His disciples who were to be the teachers.
He had disappeared for 3 days and 3 nights from His parents as a 12-year old, and was found AFTER 3 days. In the same way, when crucified, he disappeared for 3 days and 3 nights through death, and was hidden from friends, family, apostles, and numerous disciples, and then revealed to them after 3 days!
Another reason why proving a Wednesday crucifixion and a Sabbath resurrection is because we are commanded to honor the Sabbath day and to keep it holy (set apart). It is because Yah knew in advance that he was going to be raised from the dead on the weekly Sabbath, and that day would be victorious for us all!
Yahusha commands us to “keep his commandments” if we want to enter into life:
(Matthew) 19:17 And he said unto him..... but if you will enter into life, keep the commandments.
Was he speaking of the “Nine Commandments?”
Or was he speaking of all Ten Commandments?
Does he still expect us to keep the 4th Commandment?
Let’s see what Messiah said:
(Matthew) 24:20 But pray You that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day:
(Luke) 6:9 Then said Yahusha unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the Sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?
Yah tells us that keeping his “Sabbaths” (Holy Days) are a “sign” between us and him throughout our generations. This means “forever:”
(Exodus) 31:13 Speak you also unto the children of Yisra’el, saying, Verily my Sabbaths You shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that You may know that I am The Most High Yah that does sanctify you.
(Ezekiel) 20:12 Moreover also I gave them my Sabbaths to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am The Most High Yah that sanctify them.
(Ezekiel) 20:20 And hallow my Sabbaths and they shall be a sign between me and you, that You may know that I am The Most High Yah your The Most High.
You will notice that the verses above state that by hallowing his “Sabbaths” (feast days) we may “know” that he is Yah. In other words, we know him by the fact that we keep his appointed holy days!
This is the ONLY thing that differentiates him from the other false pagan gods and impostors!
It is by his holy days that we KNOW HIM!
Another important reason why a Wednesday Crucifixion validates Yahusha as the Messiah, is because he fulfilled Daniel 9:26-27, where it says that he would be “Cut off....in the midst of the week....”
Daniel 9:26-27 states that “In the midst of the week, he shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease.”
Our Messiah was “cut off” (Daniel 9:26) literally in the midst of Passover “week,” and also in the middle of the last seven years of the 490-year prophecy.

THE GOOD FRIDAY MYTH: YOU DO THE MATH
Matthew Chapter 12
Today we are walking in: The Good Friday Myth: You Do The Math
Today we look to the word-THREE H7969 shalowsh--three, triad, third
The Torah testifies...............
Exodus 10:22
And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three H7969 days:
The prophets proclaim..................
Jonah 1:17
Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three H7969 days and three H7969 nights
The writings bear witness...........................
Esther 4:16
Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three H7969 days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
Three Days & Three Nights in the Heart of the Earth: The Good Friday Myth
Many of us have been brought up in the church to believe that Yahusha (whom many call Jesus) died on “Good Friday” and he resurrected on “Easter Sunday.”
Well today, I am going to dismantle these lies, and show how these deceptions actually prove to discredit him as the authentic Messiah.
In Matthew 12:38, the religious leaders of his day asked him for a “sign” to prove that he was their awaited Savior that was prophesied about by Moses and the prophets.
His response to their asking for a sign is in (Matthew) 12:39-40:
39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet (Jonas).
40 For as (Jonas) was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
If he had not resurrected EXACTLY THREE DAYS & THREE NIGHTS after he was killed on the evening of Passover, then his prophecy would have failed, and this would have rendered him a false prophet, and not the true and genuine Messiah.
When the Christian Church teaches that he died on “Good Friday,” and then resurrected on Sunday morning, HaSatan dances with glee, because he knows that this makes him out to be a false prophet!
We all know that you cannot get three days and three nights out of 36 hours. HaSatan wants to discredit Yahusha as the Messiah, so that our faith in him will be destroyed. This would mean that his victory over death, Hell, and the grave was not won, and therefore, we are all doomed to eternal damnation. At least, this is what HaSatan wants you to believe!
That is why proving that he was in the heart of the earth for EXACTLY three days and three nights is crucial to our salvation!
Before I get into the meat of this study, we must first ask ourselves, “Why have we been conditioned to believe that Messiah was crucified on the 6th day of the week on Friday?”
The answer to this question is simple. The gospel accounts tell us that after Messiah was crucified, and his body taken down from the stauros (crucifixion stake), the women were in a hurry to anoint his body with spices, because at sundown began a High Sabbath.
Those who are uneducated in the Mosaic Law (Torah) see the word “Sabbath,” and they naturally assume that he was buried just before the weekly Sabbath, (what we today call Saturday). In John 19:31, it specifically tells us that this was not a regular weekly Sabbath, but an annual Sabbath:
(John) 19:31 The (Jews) therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the crucifixion stake on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
What is a High Sabbath Day? The Greek word in John 19:31 used for “high day,” is “megas,” which means “great, mighty, large, high.”
(Exodus) 12:42 It is a night to be much observed unto The Most High Yah for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of The Most High Yah to be observed of all the children of Yisrael in their generations.
Our Messiah was killed on the 14th day of the first Hebrew Month known as “Abib” (Exodus 12:2 & 13:4). The Torah commands that we kill the lamb on the 14th day of the first month in the evening. The Hebrew word for evening is “ereb,” which means “dusk.”
He was nailed the crucifixion stake at 9:00 a.m. and he died at 3:00 p.m. It was getting close to darkness at 3:00 p.m., for they did not have daylight savings time in 1st Century Jerusalem. This means that at 3:00 p.m. in the month of April, it was already growing dark by this time.
(Exodus) 12:6 And you shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Yisra’el shall kill it in the evening.
After the sun went down on the 14th of Abib, it then became the 15th of Abib, The Feast of Unleavened Bread. Remember, on the Creator's reckoning of time (Genesis 1:5), a calendar date changes at sundown, not at midnight. It was Pope Gregory who caused the date to change at midnight in the year 1582.
Right after our Messiah died on the 14th (Passover), he was taken down from the crucifixion stake, and then buried before the High Sabbath, known as The Feast of Unleavened Bread:
(Leviticus) 23:
5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at evening is The Most High Yah's Passover.
6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread unto The Most High Yah: seven days you must eat unleavened bread.
7 In the first day you shall have an holy convocation: you shall do no servile work therein.
The day in which Yahusha’s crucifixion took place was called the “preparation day.” On the 14th day of Abib (Passover) we are commanded to prepare the Passover Lamb, and clean out all the leaven from our homes. Our Messiah was buried just before the sun went down on the 14th, and then it became the 15th of Abib, the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
Since Yah introduced his divine calendar to us at creation in Genesis 1:5, a new calendar date was to begin at sunset. However, as I already mentioined Pope Gregory XIII caused the new date to change at midnight during his reign in 1582.
In Daniel 7:23-25, the angel told Daniel that the “fourth beast” (Rome) “shall think to change times and laws,” and since Rome has been instrumental in altering the calendar of our creator, the result has been the distorting of many prophetic events.
At the time of Yahusha’s crucifixion, Yisra’el and the entire world still acknowledged Yah’s standard of measuring time. Therefore, Yahusha was crucified and died on the 4th day of the week (what we today call Wednesday) at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, and then he was buried at sunset, around 6 p.m. After sundown, the date changed, and it then became the 5th day of the week, (what we today call Thursday).
Since the day was almost over when he died, we don’t start counting “Three days and three nights in the heart of the earth” until he was buried, and the sun went down that Wednesday evening. The count of 72 hours (three days and three nights) begins on Wednesday Night after sundown once he was in the grave.
It is important to note that whenever we see a word in italics in the King James Version, it means that the word was not there in the original text. It means that the English translators added that particular word into the text to help the sentence structure flow better.
In order to help you see where the words are italicized in the King James Version, I will highlight in red the italicized words for “day.” This will bring clarity to many of the translation anomalies in the gospels which seem to confuse people about the timing of these events.
At creation, Yah “divided” (separated) the 12-hour period called “day” from the 12-hour period called “night,” and he treated them as two separate periods.
In Genesis 1:4-5 we read: “And The Most High saw the light, that it was good: and The Most High divided the light from the darkness. And The Most High called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”
As you can see, the “day” has a different name than “night.” He also did not include the “night” in with the period called “day.” He divided the 12 hours of day from the 12 hours of darkness and called them two different things.
In Genesis 1:5 people are often confused by the phrase “And the evening and the morning were the first day.” They assume that the word “evening” means the same thing as “night” and that The Most High was combining these two periods of “day and night” and calling the combination of the two periods “day.”
However, this does not make sense, because he had just finished dividing the two periods in the previous verse, yet why would he combine day and night again and call it “day?” The Hebrew word for “evening” is “ereb” which means “dusk, mixture of light and darkness,” and it is still considered part of the twelve-hour period called “day.” However, it becomes “night” when all the light is completely gone. The Hebrew word for “night” is “layil” which means “opposed to the day.”
Thus, we see that there were actually six 12-hour periods being spoken of in the prophecy of Jonah wherein our Messiah said that he would be “Three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” If he was speaking of three 24-hour periods, he would have only said “Three days in the heart of the earth.”
You may be asking yourself “Why is this important?” It is important because some people would try to argue that he was in the heart of the earth approximately three days or “inside of three days.”
Many people rationalize that if one counts the day of his crucifixion (allegedly on Friday at 3:00 p.m.), the entire day counts as day # 1. The next logical conclusion is that day # 2 was Saturday, and day # 3 was Sunday.
They claim that even a fraction of the day counts as the same thing as a 24-hour period when reckoning the three days and three nights prophecy. The only problem with this logic is that Yah, our Creator always uses precise measurements when it comes to prophecy. He is perfectly accurate in all of his ways.
From Friday evening at 3:00 p.m. until Sunday morning (when he allegedly resurrected) would mean that he was rendering a 36-hour period as “Three days & three nights.” However, we know that he purposely spoke of “Three days & three nights” because it is exactly 72 hours.
Hence, the reason why it is important to distinguish that a day is only 12 hours--not 24 hours! The period called “night” is also a 12-hour period.
(John) 11:9 Yahusha answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walks in the day, he stumbles not, because he sees the light of this world.
Yahusha rose again as the Sabbath was ending “After three days.” This is why he said that he is “Lord of the Sabbath.” The Catholic Church changed the Sabbath to Sunday because they rationalize “Jesus resurrected on Sunday morning.” However, a careful study in the original language of the New Testament (Aramaic & Greek), will clear up this false notion of a Sunday resurrection.
What follows is a detailed and exhaustive study on the timing of the resurrection conducted by a man named Roy Reinhold. Mr. Reinhold has done an excellent job of dissecting all four gospels and laying it out for us to see, that our Messiah resurrected on what we today call Saturday (the seventh day of the week), just as the Sabbath was ending!
Biblical Proof Yahusha (Jesus) Died Wednesday & Rose on Sabbath: Good Friday is a Myth, Yahusha (Jesus) Died on a Wednesday!
3 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS IN THE HEART OF THE EARTH
One of the most common questions asked by Christians is, this:
“How could Jesus have been in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights if He died on a Friday afternoon and rose before sunrise on a Sunday?”
Most Christians duck the question, since at most they can only come up with one day and two nights (Friday nighttime, Saturday daytime, and Saturday nighttime in our measure of days). If they add in the Friday daytime they get two periods of daytime, even though Yahusha would have died in the late afternoon. This late afternoon death is consistent with the Passover lamb being killed between the two evenings according to the Mosaic Law.
The lamb was killed between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. on the afternoon of the 14th of Abib/Nisan and prepared, because the 15th was the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which was an annual Sabbath observance (the first and last days of Unleavened Bread were annual Sabbaths in addition to the normal weekly Sabbaths). This search of the Word is important, not because it affects salvation, but because it answers the questions posed on whether Yahusha kept His Word, and whether the Bible is true in this matter. A legitimate concern and question for all followers of Messiah!
(Leviticus) 23:5-8 In the fourteenth [day] of the first month at evening is The Most High Yah’s Passover. And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto The Most High Yah: seven days You must eat unleavened bread. In the first day You shall have an holy convocation: You shall do no servile work therein. But You shall offer an offering made by fire unto The Most High Yah seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: You shall do no servile work therein.
The above text confirms that the first and last days of the Feast of Unleavened Bread are annual Sabbaths, to be observed as a day of rest in addition to the weekly Sabbaths. These days would occur on the 15th and 21st of Abib/Nisan.
The Passover meal was an important religious observance in which to remember that the blood of the lamb on the doorposts of their houses kept them alive when the angel of death passed by, and that Yah had delivered them from slavery in Egypt.
The Passover is a perpetual observance to celebrate passing from death to life. These ancient events foretold the blood of Yahusha being spilled for our sins, and our passage from death to eternal life, by the everlasting covenant of the blood of Yahusha. They also foretold that Yahusha would die exactly on the 14th of Abib/Nisan and that the day following was an annual Sabbath.
What follows is a close examination of the biblical record, in which Yahusha was killed on the 14th of Abib/Nisan in the afternoon, and the next day was the annual Sabbath, the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. We shall also see from the biblical record that this annual Sabbath did not fall on the weekly Sabbath, in the year that Yahusha died.
(Matthew) 12:38-40 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from you. But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Yonah (Jonah): For as Yonah (Jonah) was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
(Matthew) 27:62-66 Now the next day that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. Pilate said unto them, You have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as You can. So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.
The above verses show that Yahusha had openly taught that the major sign that He was the Messiah was that He would die and three days later rise again. Even more clearly, He said that He would be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. This promise meant that 72 hours would pass from His death to His resurrection and that this would be the sign for the Jews that He was who He said He was (the Messiah). The Friday crucifixion with a resurrection before sunrise on Sunday morning totals approximately 36 hours.
If we understood Yahusha to mean that “within” three days and three nights He would rise again, then any period short of that would suffice. But He taught that “after” three days and three nights in the heart of the earth, then He would rise again. This logically would necessitate the crucifixion on a Wednesday, then the daylight and nighttime periods of Thursday, Friday, and Saturday would be three days and three nights. We count from either His actual death shortly after 3:00 p.m. or from the time His body was laid in the tomb, shortly before the annual Sabbath began, although I believe we should count the 72 hours from the time the body was laid in the tomb.
You’ll notice that the above text from Matthew 27, recorded that the chief priests met with Pilate the morning after the crucifixion to get permission to post a guard and seal the tomb. The Bible records that this was the day after the day of preparation. This day of preparation is the 14th of Abib (Nisan), when the homes were scoured for any leavened bread within the house and a preparation of food was readied for the Passover meal, and the Feast of Unleavened Bread [Mark 15:42, Luke 23:54, John 19:14, 31, 42].
Therefore, the grave of Yahusha was not sealed until the morning of the 15th of Abib (Nisan), on the annual Sabbath. In the text from John 19, we learn that the body of Yahusha needed to be removed from the crucifixion stake because the Sabbath was about to begin and that Sabbath was a high day or annual Sabbath. This is consistent with the other verses which teach that the day of preparation was the day that Yahuw-shuwa died. Now we only need to determine whether the annual Sabbath and weekly Sabbath fell on the same day, which would lead us to the conclusion that Yahusha died on a Friday afternoon, shortly after 3:00 p.m. as commonly taught. If not, then He died on another day of the week.
(John) 19:31 The Yahuwdiy (Jews) therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the crucifixion stake on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
A High Sabbath was an annual Sabbath, not the weekly Sabbath. Therefore, this is speaking of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, not the weekly Saturday Sabbath.
(John) 19:39-40 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Yahusha by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight. Then took they the body of Yahusha, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Yahuwdiy (Jews) is to bury.
(Matthew) 27:59-61 And when Yahuwceph (Joseph) had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed. And there was Miryam (Mary) Magdalene, and the other Miryam (Mary), sitting over against the sepulchre.
(Mark) 15:46-47 And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre. And Miriyam (Mary) Magdalene and Miryam (Mary) the mother of Yahuwseph (Joses) beheld where he was laid.
(Luke) 23:54-56 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on. And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.
In totality, the above verses together give us the complete picture of what happened after Messiah’s death, how His body was prepared for burial, and who observed this process. It is extremely important to notice that none of the above texts alone gives the complete story, and that you have to read all together to get the whole story. Joseph took Yahusha’s body after receiving permission from Pilate, bought a linen sheet, and bound the body with Nicodemus’ assistance.
Nicodemus had brought a hundred pounds of myrrh and aloes, which they bound with the body. The tomb was near where he was crucified, and it belonged to Joseph who had carved this tomb out of rock. It was a new tomb that had never before been used. Also, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses accompanied the body from the crucifixion stake and watched the entire process of burial.
When Yahusha’s body was laid in the tomb, then Joseph, assisted by Nicodemus, rolled a large stone in front of the tomb opening and left. Finally, the two Mary’s left and prepared spices and perfumes, before resting on the Sabbath. Up to this point, we have no evidence that the annual Sabbath and weekly Sabbath did not fall on the same day as traditionally taught.
The next collection of verses will explore the role of the women in preparing spices and perfumes with which they intended to anoint the body of Yahusha.
In the verses where the word “day” is italicized in the King James Version, the word “day” is highlighted in red to signify that the word “day” does not appear in the original text.
(Luke) 24:1-2 Now upon the first [day] of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
(Matthew) 28:1-4 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first [day] of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of The Most High Yah descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
It is important at this point to give an explanation of the word “dawn” inMatthew 28:1. Most people assume that he resurrected on Sunday Morning because of this verse inMatthew 28:1.
The problem with Matthew 28:1 is that the word “dawn” is a poor translation from the Greek to English. If the English translators had realized that a new calendar date changes at sunset, they would have figured this out.
We know that the “end the Sabbath” cannot be talking about Sunday morning at sunrise. The Greek word there for “dawn” is the equivalent of a word in Hebrew that means “a mixture of light and dark.” Hence, the word should really be “dusk” as the sun was going down.
The Strong’s Hebrew Concordance reveals that at sundown is the “dawning of the new day” at twilight or dusk:
#5399. nesheph neh’-shef from 5398; properly, a breeze, i.e. (by implication) dusk (when the evening breeze prevails):--dark, dawning of the day (morning), night, twilight.
The Greek words are as follows:
#2020. epiphosko ep-ee-foce’-ko a form of 2017; to begin to grow light:--begin to dawn, draw on.
#2017. epiphauo ep-ee-fow’-o a form of 2014; to illuminate (figuratively):--give light.
You can see why the English translators thought that the word should be “dawn” as in early morning, just before sunrise. The Greek word epiphosko can mean “....to draw on,” and it can mean “the beginning of something” as in the “the dawning of a new era.”
For something to “dawn” means that something new is approaching. The term is much broader than the English word that we use to describe “sunrise.”
(Matthew) 28:1 And in the evening of the Sabbath as it was dusk, as the first [day] of the week began to dawn, came Mary of Magdala and the other Mary, to view the sepulcher.
You will notice that Murdock is calling this time of day “dusk” but he is saying that the “week” (Sabbaton in Greek) was beginning to “dawn” or to “draw on.” In other words it was not sunrise, but it was the end of the Sabbath at sundown, as the new week was approaching (dawning).
The MRC Translation translates it like this:
(Matthew) 28:1 Now late on the Shabbat, as it began to draw toward the first of the week, Miryam of Magdala and the other Miryam went to look at the grave.
Marqos (Mark) 16:1-4 And when the sabbath was past, Miryam (Mary) Magdalene, and Miryam (Mary) the mother of Ya’aqob (James), and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. And very early in the morning the first [day] of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.
(John) 20:1-2 The first [day] of the week comes Miryam (Mary) Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and sees the stone taken away from the sepulchre. Then she runs, and comes to Shimone Keefa (Simon Peter), and to the other disciple, whom Yahusha loved, and said unto them, They have taken away The Most High Yah out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.
You may have to reread the above verses to notice that the women who had watched the body of Yahusha being laid in the tomb, prepared perfumes and spices. Then Mark 16 text says that Mary Magdalene and the other Mary bought spices AFTER the Sabbath and prepared them. While the Luke 23 text states that the women prepared spices and then rested on the Sabbath. This is consistent with an annual Sabbath on Thursday, the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and the weekly Sabbath on Saturday.
We know that these are the same women because the Bible verses all relate that Mary Magdalene was involved in all these events. However, two other Mary’s are mentioned, one the mother of James and Salome, and the other the mother of Joses. In all cases, Mary Magdalene was involved. Therefore, the women saw Yahusha’s body being laid in the tomb on a Wednesday afternoon; they rested on the annual Sabbath on Thursday, and bought spices on Friday.
They prepared the spices on the 6th day of the week (Friday) and then rested according to the commandment on the weekly Sabbath on Saturday. After the weekly Sabbath, they intended to anoint Yahusha’s body with the perfumes and spices. Therefore both intuitively and by evidence, we have proven that Passover was on the 4th day (Wednesday), that year, and that Yahusha did as He had said, which was to rise again after three days and three nights. What remains next to determine, is whether Yahusha rose as the weekly Sabbath was ending or at sunrise on Sunday?
You’ll notice through a comparison of the four gospels that Mary Magdalene and the disciples went to the tomb a number of times. In some it was still dark, and in some it was already light. It wasn’t until it was light on Sunday that they actually discovered that He had risen; in the first visits the tomb was empty.
The above text in John 20, tells us of the first visit by Mary Magdalene when it was dark, the tomb was empty, and she had not been told that Yahusha was risen, and only saw the stone rolled away. However, there is one verse which seems to tell us that Yahusha rose on the first day of the week.
(Mark) 16:9 Now when Yahusha was risen early the first [day] of the week, he appeared first to Miryam (Mary) Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
“Early the first of the week” is immediately following the Sabbath at sundown on Saturday evening. It is called Havdalah in Hebrew which means “exiting the Sabbath.” The word “day” is not in the original text as indicated by the red highlighting, because it is italicized in the King James Version.
The above text would seem to conclusively prove that Yahusha rose early in the morning on the first day of the week, what we would call Saturday night. Some commentators have speculated that verses 9-20 of this chapter were later added since they weren’t in any of the early manuscripts. The original text did not have these punctuation marks in the Greek text, so they were added later. If a comma is added after risen, the verse takes on an entirely different meaning:
“Now after He had risen, early on the first [day] of the week He first appeared to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons.”
This change is not altering scripture since it was not written with punctuation marks. This makes the verse consistent with all the four gospels, where Mary Magdalene visited the grave, shortly after the Sabbath ended, and saw the empty grave with the stone rolled away, but did not see an angel or see Yahusha. It was later, when the sun had risen on Sunday morning that she came with Mary the mother of James and Salome back to the tomb, saw an angel who told her that he had risen, and then they saw Yahusha.

THE SEXUAL TRAPS OF MEN!!!!
Genesis chapter 1
Today we are walking in: The Sexual Traps Of Men!!!!
Today we look to the word LOVE --H157 - 'ahab --a primitive root; to have affection for:—be loved, lovely, like, friend.
The Torah testifies.........……
Exodus 20:6
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love H157 me, and keep my commandments.
Deuteronomy 6:5
And thou shalt love H157 the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
The prophets proclaim..................
Joshua 23:11
Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love H157 the Lord your God.
Micah 6:8
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love H157 mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
The writings bear witness............
Proverbs 17: 9
He that covereth a transgression seeketh love H157; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.
Sexual Traps of Men
Because sexual sin can be such a temptation for men, I now want to discuss specific sexual traps males fall into and how they can be avoided. Some of you are on the verge of falling into one of these sexual traps. You are going through a crisis you don‘t want your wife to know about. Yet you can remain faithful to Yah and your spouse by being aware of these pitfalls and standing strong against them.
Most men want to do what is right. However, many voices beckon them to abandon what is true and good. These voices are the opponents of, self-discipline, and responsibility. They attack men‘s desire to live righteously. As a man, you can be tempted. You can be kept safe only by knowing what the Word of Yah says about these temptations and by applying some common sense. Some people think the Ruach Hackodesh is automatically going to keep them from falling into these traps. As we‘ll see, while the Ruach Hackodesh is always with us to help us, He also expects us to exercise self-control.
Trap #1: Misunderstanding the Sexual Difference between Males and Females
We learned in an earlier teaching that the male is physically designed to be a giver. Men are almost always ready to give sexually. This is natural. It is how Yah made them.
The female is physically designed to be a receiver. However, her design is different from the male in that she is not always ready to receive, because her body operates on a cycle. She is more receptive on certain days and at certain times. Because of this tendency, she needs to be treated with kindness and sensitivity by her husband. When men don‘t understand this sexual difference between males and females, and they expect women to function in the same way they do, they become frustrated. The result can be misunderstanding, resentment, and the desire to look for a person whom they feel will be more receptive.
In addition to her cycle, fatigue and stress may also prevent a woman from being ready to receive. Let‘s look at things from her viewpoint for a moment. How can a wife be expected to be relaxed, sensitive, and pleasing to her husband right after she comes home from a hard day‘s work? That is a serious demand. She comes home tired, and her husband expects her to greet him at the door, saying, ―Hi, honey. I‘ve been waiting for you. I know you‘re tired. Take off your shoes, and put your feet up. Here‘s your big cup of cocoa that you love. Here‘s the newspaper. The news will be on in thirty minutes. I‘m taking the children in the other room so you can listen in peace and quiet. Then I‘m going to serve you a five-course dinner because you work so hard all day.
Many men expect this. Yet how can their wives do all that if they are working just as hard as or maybe even harder than their husbands are? It‘s a tough life. Formerly, when a woman was home all day, she had a little more energy to give to her husband. But nowadays, she needs loving attention herself. Life can be stressful and difficult. You may wonder, ―Why is my relationship with my wife so tense? It may be because of the pace and stress of life.
When a man feels hurt that his wife isn‘t being as receptive as he would like, he sometimes withdraws from her emotionally, creating a distance between them. This separation can lead to a sense of rejection by one or both parties that results in many marital problems, including divorce.
To avoid this sexual trap, you need to accept the fact that your wife is different from you, and learn to work through your differences with patience and love. Also, do what you can to alleviate the tension in her life. In this way, she can be more receptive to you, and you will have a more fulfilling relationship. In addition, read 1 Corinthians 13:4–8 and start putting it into practice:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self- seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
Trap #2: The Voice of Pleasure
The voice of pleasure is like the Sirens of Greek mythology who drew men to their destruction with sweet-sounding songs. Suppose a man has worked in the same job for ten or fifteen years, doing the same routine. After a while, he begins to be attracted to anything he thinks will bring him some pleasure in life.
This is a dangerous situation for a man to be in, because it can lead to infidelity. To avoid this trap, you must be watchful for signs that you are growing weary with life and have started looking to someone other than your wife to bring you pleasure. You must put a guard on your heart and spirit, and look to Yah for renewal during life‘s dry spells. Plan to spend extra time with your wife and become reacquainted with her. Talk with your pastor or other trusted Hebrew men. Go on a spiritual retreat. Ask Yah for a fresh or renewed vision for your life. Break up your routine with a new interest or goal.
In addition, read and meditate on these verses: “You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand” (Ps. 16:11). “„For I know the plans I have for you,‟ declares the Most High, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future‟” (Jer. 29:11).
Trap #3: The Lure of Romanticism
This trap is similar to Trap #2, but it has a subtle difference. It is a search for the romantic or mysterious, in order to bring excitement into a boring lifestyle, put meaning back into life, or dispel a feeling of lost youth. Succumbing to the lure of romanticism makes a man ripe for an extramarital relationship because he thinks that having a romantic relationship with someone new (and therefore ―mysterious) will give him an exciting life. The problem is, the new quickly becomes the familiar, and he will soon need something else to create excitement in his life.
You can avoid this sexual trap by following the same advice given in the previous section. In addition, begin to seek Yah with all your heart. The human desire for excitement and mystery is ultimately meant to be fulfilled in Yah. There is no one like Yah, and we will never come to an end of discovering all the facets of His love and character. In addition, read and meditate on these Scriptures: “Yah has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Hamachiach in you, the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27). “[The Most High] redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, [He] satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle‟s” (Ps. 103:4–5).
Trap #4: The Desire for Extramarital Relationships
Many of you are probably saying to yourselves, ―I‘m a born-again, Spirit-filled, Bible-toting Hebrew. I‘ve never thought about an extramarital affair. Let‘s talk frankly. Men are sexual creatures, and they can be attracted to women other than their wives. A recent study has shown that a man‘s brain has a physiological response to seeing a beautiful woman that is comparable to his response to food. Apparently, when a man sees a beautiful woman, the ―pleasure circuits in his brain react. This is a physical response, part of a male‘s design.
Even Hebrew men who are committed to Yah and their wives must deal with sexual temptation. Paul admitted that Hebrews can be tempted in this way when he said in 1 Corinthians 7:5, “Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that HaSatan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.” Paul was talking to Spirit-filled Corinthian Hebrews. He was saying, ―I know you. You are sexual creatures. Run and find your spouse so you won‘t be tempted. You‘re not made of steel.
How can you overcome the trap of desiring an extramarital relationship? First, recognize that your body reacts to physical beauty. Used in the right context, this reaction draws a man to desire the opposite sex and find a life mate. Used in the wrong context, it can lead to infidelity. If you deny this fact, you won‘t be able to stand strong against temptation.
Second, remember your commitment to Yah to live a holy life and the covenant you made with your wife. We are not to be ruled by our feelings or hormones, but by the Spirit of Yah. As a male, you will be tempted. However, that doesn‘t mean you are going to act on them. You have more sense than that. Or, I should say, you have more knowledge than that—knowledge of what Yah desires for men and women in a marriage covenant.
Marriage is a choice and a commitment. Men are sexual creatures. You see a beautiful woman, and you appreciate beauty, so you say, ―Wow, man! but the Ruach Hackodesh within you says, ―Whoa, man! You need to heed His voice and remain true to our spouses. You shouldn‘t dwell on tempting thoughts or allow them to control you.
Third, do not put yourself in a situation where temptation will become too strong for you. As Paul said, stay close to your wife: “Come together again so that HaSatan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control” (1 Cor. 7:5).
As Hebrew men, you have to come to grips with this desire for extramarital sexual relations. You need to teach young men that sexual attraction is physiological and shouldn‘t be acted upon outside the marriage relationship. This knowledge will help to keep them from succumbing to sexual temptation. One of the most honest things men can tell one another is, ―Brother, I‘m a sexual creature, and I need your support. I need your prayers. We all need each other. Let‘s help one another stay in Yah‘s purposes.
Finally, read and meditate on these verses: “Guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith with the wife of your youth” (Mal. 2:15). “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Most High is to be praised” (Prov. 31:30).
Trap #5: Ego Need
This last trap is the most dangerous, because the greatest of all influences on men is the ego need. This is the desire to be admired and respected by members of the opposite sex. I am sure you have experienced this desire before, and you will experience it again. It doesn‘t matter how much you pray. If a woman works on your ego needs, you‘d better know how to keep yourself pure.
What is harming men in the community right now is a false sense of security based on the idea that once a person is baptized in the Ruach Hackodesh, he is immune from temptations. This just isn‘t true. The Ruach Hackodesh doesn‘t give us character; character is something we are responsible for developing. However, He gives us the strength to withstand temptation, to make it through difficulties and to come out on the other side in victory.
Affairs develop because men want to prove they are still attractive to women. The thrill comes from knowing that someone still finds them romantically appealing. It feels good to a man to know that a woman thinks he‘s intelligent or handsome, that she enjoys talking with him, that she likes the way he thinks, that she finds him exciting to be with. However, if he‘s a married man, and the woman isn‘t his wife, he is in a dangerous situation, because his ego need is being stroked.
Attraction based on ego need usually happens gradually, sometimes without either party realizing it‘s happening. For example, you go to lunch with your secretary and spend just thirty minutes talking with her, but you enjoy her company. Back in the office, she hands you a piece of paper, and you accidentally touch her hand. She smiles. Later, she comes into your office for a report, and says, ―You know, I really think you‘re one of the nicest men I have ever met. If I ever marry a guy, I want him to be just like you. She has made a very innocent statement, and she may be very sincere about it. However, you could now be in trouble, because you are a male, and you have this ego need.
Ego need can make a man behave in foolish and dishonorable ways. It can cause a sane, Spirit-filled, committed, loving Hebrew man to leave his wife for another woman. He‘ll say, ―This woman makes me feel good. Do you hear the ego in that? Some men think they could never fall into this ego trap. Let me tell you: it isn‟t the woman who‟s so strong; it‟s the ego that is weak. Men who decide to leave the path of righteousness in pursuit of other voices rarely make a sudden turn and plunge into error. Instead, they make small, safe departures from what is right, then turn back to evaluate.
They say, ―Hmm, I liked that, but I really shouldn‘t have done it. Remember that once you create a capacity for something, you need more of it to fulfill your desire. So they go out a little farther before coming back. ―Oh, boy, that felt good! But I really shouldn‘t be doing it. They evaluate, and they check to see if anyone is watching what they‘re doing.
Then, seemingly all of sudden, they go out and don‘t come back. They leave their wives. They abandon everybody and everything—Yah, family, friends, job. Friends wonder, ―What happened? He was such a fine young man. What happened is that the infidelity started slowly; he indulged in it to meet his ego needs, until he was overcome by it.
Some of you have also been quietly testing infidelity. I warn you, just as Paul warned: there is only one way for you to keep your sexuality in order. I know you think I‘m going to say prayer. It‘s not prayer. Paul said, “It is Yah‟s will that you...should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable” (1 Thess. 4:3–4).
How can you avoid the trap of ego need? “Each of you should learn to control his own body.” That is how you keep your life straight. Paul didn‘t say, ―Go to prayer meetings, or ―Bind the power of lust. You don‘t bind lust. Yah simply says, ―Control yourself.
I‘ll bet you wish there was an easy way out of this thing. You thought I was going to give you some magic answers to control your lust and your passion for sex. They‘re aren‘t any easy answers. The answer is: behave yourself. End of discussion. Don‘t let a woman take advantage of you—and make sure you don‘t take advantage of a woman‘s feelings for you.
We shouldn‘t think we are so spiritual that we‘re untouchable. Whether you are married or single, when you are tempted to be sexually immoral, run away! Start praying. Avoid contact with the woman. Why? You are living in a body that is designed with complex chemicals and hormones that respond to stimuli from what you see and hear.
Remember that ego need feeds the soul first—even though it leads to bodily sin. Be careful how you respond to a woman‘s praise and attention. If it is starting to lead to inappropriate attraction, you know you need to back off.
Your ego need must be met in Yah and what He says about your value to Him. Read and meditate on this remarkable verse to realize your worth in Yah:
What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet. (Ps. 8:4–6)
Your Past Is Not Your Future
No matter what your sexual past has been, you can receive forgiveness and freedom by coming to Hamachiach, repenting of your sin and wrong ways of thinking, and receiving His love and wholeness. Then you can begin to live out His plan for your sexuality. You will become a true light, illuminating Yah‘s ways in the sexual darkness and confusion of our times.
Principles
1. Most of us have learned about sexuality from faulty sources instead of from Yah‘s Word.
2. The community and the family have often given the impression that sex is unholy and should not be discussed.
3. Yah designed men and women as sexual beings. He created sex and said that it is “very good.” (See Genesis 1:31.)
4. Yah is negative only about the misuse of sex.
5. The Bible uses sexual union in marriage as a metaphor for the intimacy and unity of Hamachiach and His bride, the community.
6. Yah designed sex within marriage for these reasons: (1) to procreate the human race, (2) to seal a blood covenant between two humans, and (3) to allow sex to be enjoyed to its maximum potential without repercussions.
7. Yah wants us to enjoy sex so much that He has told us what its safe boundaries are. The primary boundary is the marriage covenant.
8. The body is not meant for immorality. This is one of Yah‘s sexual laws, which He has given us for our good.
9. Yah‘s design is male and female; not male and male, or female and female. We can know that homosexuality is not Yah‘s plan because it does not fit His design.
10. Sex is a physical sign of a spiritual act—the giving of oneself completely to another and for another.
11. Sex was given by Yah to help express love, not create it.
12. The sexual traps of men are (1) misunderstanding the sexual difference between males and females; (2) the voice of pleasure; (3) the lure of romanticism; (4) the desire for extramarital relationships; and (5) ego need.
