BUILD YOURSELF WITH A DISCIPLINE THAT GUARANTEES MASSIVE GROWTH PART 4
John chapter 10
Today we are walking in: BUILD YOURSELF WITH A DISCIPLINE THAT GUARANTEES MASSIVE GROWTH PART 4
Genesis 27:8
Now therefore, my son, obey H8085 my voice according to that which I command thee.
OBEY
Today we look to the word OBEY --H8085 - shâmaʻ, shaw-mah'; a primitive root; to hear intelligently (often with implication of attention, obedience, etc.; causatively, to tell, attentively, call gather together, carefully, certainly, consent, consider, be content, declare, diligently, discern, give ear, (cause to, let, make to) indeed, listen, make (a) noise, (be) obedient, obey, perceive, make a proclaimation, publish, regard, report, shew (forth), (make a) sound, surely, tell, understand, whosoever (heareth), witness.

Let us embrace a truth that may not always be comfortable, but is always transformative: Yah hides you for a reason. Yah is a master planner. He does nothing without intention. When you find yourself in seasons where it feels like no one sees you, no one recognizes your potential, and your gifts seem unnoticed, understand this—Yah is not ignoring you. He is hiding you.
His plans are perfect, but they unfold in His timing, not yours. Hiding is preparation for the right season. This truth is evident throughout the Scriptures and in the lives of those who walk with Him.
When you are hidden, it can feel as though you are forgotten, overlooked, or sidelined. But in reality, Yah is orchestrating something far greater than you can perceive. The process of being hidden is not a delay. It is a deliberate act of preparation.
Just as a seed is planted in darkness before it can sprout into the light, so too must you undergo seasons where Yah conceals you to ready you for the fullness of His plan.
Consider the life of Dawid. He was anointed as king while still a young shepherd. Yet he did not ascend to the throne immediately. Instead, he returned to tending sheep in obscurity. This was not punishment. It was preparation.
Dawid needed time to cultivate the skill and the heart required to lead a nation. The fields were his training ground, a place where he learned to trust Yah in small battles—defending his flock from lions and bears—before stepping into the greater battles that awaited him as king.
Yah’s timing ensured that Dawid would not only ascend to the throne, but remain on it with integrity and wisdom.
In your life, this principle remains the same. You often desire immediate results. You pray, you prepare, and you expect Yah to act according to your timeline. But Yah, in His wisdom, knows what lies ahead.
He understands the challenges you are not yet equipped to face, the opposition that could crush you if you were revealed prematurely, and the internal growth that must occur before you can sustain the weight of the blessings He has prepared for you.
This is why He hides you—not to withhold good things, but to ensure that you are ready to receive and steward them when the time is right.
The life of Yoseph is another powerful witness of divine timing. As a young man, Yoseph had dreams of greatness—visions that revealed his rise to prominence. Yet instead of immediate elevation, he was sold into slavery, falsely accused, and imprisoned.
These years of seeming abandonment were, in truth, years of preparation. Yah was refining Yoseph’s character, teaching him humility, resilience, and faith.
When the time came for Yoseph to interpret Pharaoh’s dreams and rise into authority, he was no longer the same young man who once spoke impulsively. He had been shaped in hidden places and was now ready to step into purpose with wisdom and grace.
Hiding is also an act of protection. Yah sees what you cannot. He knows the dangers and the battles ahead, and He shields you in hidden seasons.
Yahusha Himself lived in obscurity for many years before stepping into His public assignment. The Savior of the world was hidden, growing in wisdom, stature, and favor.
That time was not wasted. It was necessary.
When Yahusha stepped into His ministry, He did so at the appointed time, fully prepared to fulfill His mission.
When you find yourself in a hidden season, it is easy to feel frustration or doubt. You may question whether Yah has forgotten you or whether your purpose will ever come to pass.
But you must remember that Yah’s perspective is eternal. His plans are far greater than what you can see. His timing is never rushed, never delayed, and never mistaken.
Just as a farmer waits patiently for the seed to grow, trusting the unseen work beneath the soil, you must trust that Yah is working behind the scenes—preparing you for the right moment.
His plans for you are good. But they require you to be in the right place, with the right heart, at the right time.
The waiting and the hiding are not signs of inactivity. They are signs of divine preparation.
Yah’s hiding is His shield of love and wisdom. In His foresight, He sees what you cannot. What you interpret as delay is often protection.
Premature exposure can lead to harm, to spiritual attack, or to the derailment of purpose. That is why Yah hides what is valuable.
A treasure is hidden not to diminish its worth, but to protect it until the right time. And in the same way, Yah hides you to guard what He has placed inside of you.
Consider Mosheh. As a child, he was hidden in a basket, protected from destruction. Later, he was hidden in the wilderness for years before stepping into his calling.
This was not punishment. It was preparation and protection.
In the same way, your hidden season is not rejection. It is Yah preserving you for purpose.
Trust His process. Trust His timing. Trust His covering.
You are not being overlooked.
You are being prepared.
Similarly, in your life, Yah’s hiding is a safeguard. He knows when you are ready to face the challenges ahead. He knows when your environment is right to nurture your purpose. If you step into the spotlight too soon, the weight of exposure could overwhelm you, and the battles you are not yet equipped to fight could defeat you.
Yah’s hiding is not rejection. It is redirection and protection. He keeps you out of view not because He doubts your potential, but because He values it too much to allow it to be prematurely exposed. Trust the covering of His hiding, for it is His way of ensuring you are ready for the elevation He has prepared.
Hidden seasons are not wasted seasons. They are workshops of the soul. When Yah hides you, it is not because He is punishing you or overlooking your potential. It is because He is preparing you. The secret place is where your roots grow deep, where your faith is strengthened, and where your character is refined to align with the purpose Yah has for you.
Consider again the life of Dawid. After being anointed king, he was not immediately placed on the throne. Instead, he returned to the fields, tending sheep in obscurity. In that hidden place, he learned to worship without an audience, to trust Yah in danger, and to lead faithfully when no one was watching.
Those hidden years shaped him into the leader he needed to become. The crown required a character that could only be formed in the secret place.
Hidden seasons are also where Yah removes what does not belong. Like a potter shaping clay, He molds you, smoothing out imperfections and strengthening your core. In these quiet seasons, Yah teaches humility, patience, and perseverance—qualities that no platform can produce.
Without these qualities, the spotlight could destroy you instead of elevate you.
Even Yahusha, the Son of Yah, spent years in obscurity before His public ministry began. During that time, He grew in wisdom, stature, and favor. If Yahusha Himself walked through a hidden season, how much more must you understand its necessity?
Your purpose is not just about what you do. It is about who you become. Yah is more concerned with your character than your comfort.
Hidden seasons are the refining place, the training ground, and the sanctuary where Yah draws you closer to Himself. Embrace the secret place. Lean into it with trust, knowing that Yah is shaping you for what is ahead.
When the time comes for your unveiling, you will not only be ready—you will be transformed.
When Yah sets you apart, it can feel like abandonment, but it is actually an invitation into deeper closeness with Him. Strategic isolation is not punishment. It is a divine invitation to hear His voice without interference.
Sometimes Yah must remove distractions, relationships, and opportunities that are not aligned with His will. Not because they are evil, but because they are not assigned to your next season.
Consider Avraham. When Yah called him, the first instruction was to leave his land, his people, and his father’s house. Why? Because the familiar environment carried voices that could interfere with Yah’s direction.
In isolation, Avraham learned to depend fully on Yah.
Isolation often feels uncomfortable because it strips away the things you lean on for validation. But that is the point. Yah desires to be your primary source—your strength, your guidance, your affirmation.
When other voices are removed, His voice becomes clearer.
Yahusha also modeled this. Before choosing His disciples, He withdrew in solitude. Before beginning His ministry, He spent time in the wilderness. Isolation was preparation, empowerment, and clarity.
Sometimes the relationships you hold onto cannot go where you are going. Yah separates you because certain connections can hinder your growth or distract your focus.
Isolation is not rejection. It is preparation and protection.
In this season, instead of asking why people are leaving or why doors are closing, ask what Yah is saying. He is sharpening your focus, refining your vision, and aligning you with your assignment.
Strategic isolation is where the voice of Yah becomes louder than the opinions of people.
Trust His separation. It is for your elevation.
Hidden seasons are also seasons of testing. Yah uses these moments to refine your heart and ensure you are ready to carry the weight of your destiny.
A calling without maturity is a burden too heavy to bear. That is why Yah allows testing—to strengthen your character and solidify your faith.
Consider Yoseph. Before he could govern a nation, he endured betrayal, slavery, and imprisonment. These were not random hardships. They were divine tests.
In those hidden years, Yoseph’s integrity, faith, and humility were shaped. By the time he rose to authority, he was prepared.
Testing reveals what is in your heart.
In the wilderness, Yah tested His people to reveal whether they would remain obedient. In the same way, hidden seasons expose your motives, purify your intentions, and teach you dependence on Him.
Maturity is trusting Yah’s timing, even when it does not match your expectations.
It is easy to trust Him when everything is going well. But the true test is remaining faithful when the vision seems delayed and the promise feels distant.
Can you remain faithful when no one is watching? Can you steward small things with excellence, knowing they are preparing you for greater things?
Hidden seasons develop patience and perseverance. Like a diamond formed under pressure, your character is shaped so that you can shine when Yah reveals you.
Without these tests, the weight of your calling could crush you instead of elevate you.
Trust the process. Embrace the lessons. Allow Yah to mature you.
When the time comes, you will not just step into your destiny—you will carry it with strength, wisdom, and humility.
When Yah chooses to reveal you, it is not for personal recognition, but for Kingdom purpose. Your emergence is tied to assignment, not applause.
Consider Ester. She was hidden in the palace until the moment came when Yah revealed her before the king. But her emergence was not for her own benefit—it was to save her people.
Her life was positioned for a Kingdom assignment.
In the same way, your hidden season is preparing you for something greater than yourself.
When Yah brings you forward, it will not be to showcase you, but to fulfill what He has placed inside of you.
Your gifts, your experiences, and your journey have all been preparing you for this moment.
You are emerging for purpose.
And when that moment comes, it will not be about your glory. It will be about advancing the Kingdom of Yah on the earth.
Your life is not self-serving. It is Kingdom-focused.
So when Yah reveals you, understand this: it is not just exposure—it is a call to action.
It is your time to step forward with confidence, knowing that you are walking in what Yah has already prepared.
Your emergence will inspire. Your obedience will build. Your life will advance His work.
And in all of it, Yah will receive the glory.
In conclusion, understand this: Yah’s hiding is not rejection, but preparation. It is His divine way of protecting you, refining you, and positioning you for the purpose He has called you to fulfill. Just as a seed must be hidden in the soil before it can grow into something great, so too must you be hidden, shaped, and tested before you can step into the fullness of your destiny.
The process may not always be easy, but it is necessary. Every moment of isolation, every season of waiting, every trial you have endured is part of Yah’s perfect plan for your life. He is preparing you to carry the weight of your calling with grace, wisdom, and integrity.
And when He reveals you, it will not be for your glory, but for His Kingdom.
Do not despise the hidden seasons. Embrace them. They are times of growth, development, and divine preparation. Your emergence will be purposeful. Your life will be impactful. Your assignment will bring glory to Yah.
Remember this: you were not hidden by chance. You were hidden for a reason.
Trust the process. Yah is preparing you for something greater than what you can currently see. Your best days are not behind you—they are ahead of you, filled with purpose and destiny.
Keep your faith strong. Stay focused. Remain rooted.
And know this with certainty: in His perfect timing, Yah will bring you forward. Not prematurely. Not delayed. But precisely when you are ready.
You are being hidden for a reason.
And when it is time, you will emerge with purpose, equipped, refined, and ready to make an eternal impact.
