We are walking in today: Being favored will cost you.
Luke 1:26-38 26 )And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27) To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 28) And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. 29) And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 30) And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31) And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32) He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33) And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 34)Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35) And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. 36) And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. 37) For with God nothing shall be impossible. 38) And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. Take a moment and think about Mary. She was a virgin engaged to Joseph. Then an angel of the Lord tells her, she is highly favored and will conceive a child by the Holy Ghost. His name shall be called Jesus, the Son of the Highest. In verse 34 Mary said unto the angel, how can this be, I know not a man, the angel answered that the Holy Ghost will over shadow thee. When the Holy Ghost shows up, that is the beginning of conception in our lives. Mary had to know God as her personal savior. Mary had to know the word, for she said in verse 38 she said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord: be it unto me according to thy word. Mary submitted to the word immediately. When God speaks receive His word right away. Conceive is defined as to become pregnant with child, to cause to begin: originate. There are so many gifts that God has placed inside of us. We need to be careful and not abort in this season. Remember this is our season of favor. God has placed us in a position to conceive from His word daily. He fills us in so many places, carry His word with you daily. We are carrying the word, just like Mary carried Jesus. Pregnant with the word. We conceived a long time ago when we accepted Christ as our personal savior. We have been saved by His grace. In verse 28 the angel said, hail, thou that are highly favored the Lord is with thee, blessed are thou among women. God chooses who He uses. We have been blessed and highly favored by God fiveamprayer. Mary must have known that her submission to God's plan would cost her. Sometimes God's plan will cost you everything in the beginning of conception, but in the end we win. Mary may not have considered the full extent of her future suffering. She may not have imagined the pain of watching her beloved child bear the weight of the sins and die a terrible death on the cross. Still, she accepted--willingly, submitted to God's plan. Can we willingly accept God's plan? Can we even rejoice in God's plan, like Mary did, when we know that it will cost us dearly?
An angel comes to say fear not, you shall conceive the Son of God. You must understand, being favored will cost you. Will you submit? This morning is December 20th, You come to tell us being favored will cost us. Keep on getting up praising Him--give God the glory. We receive Your word--there is nothing too hard for God. Many of us have said, I am blessed and highly favored--now we know what that looks like from Mary. Walk in obedience and focus on God, not on what you could loose. Don't worry about what you lost. God is with you, He will never leave nor forsake you. God told us in 2010 we would be blessed and it wouldn't make sense. Know that favor is over your life. Walk by faith, not by sight. Your grace is sufficient. He has created a way of escape for us. We submit ourselves to You, what ever You have for us to do. Thank You for my season and giving the gift that keeps on giving. Thank You Lord, for showing up with Your peaceful presence. We lift up fiveamprayer, let them know that Your word does not come back void. It will accomplish what You sent it out to do. This is our year of favor. God will show up. Being favored will cost you. Help them to keep pressing on, God. Let them know they are highly favored. We lift up prayer requests, those known and unknown. We ask for forgiveness, for when You forgive there is no condemnation. Cast it into the sea, Lord. Teach us how to forgive like You Lord.

Ask Mary, it will cost you. But be like Mary, submit, to God. Being a virgin, conceived by the Holy Ghost and engaged to Joseph--who could put her away, she trusted God. We can say we are blessed and highly favored--due to all that we have been through. Keep Your hand in the hand of Jesus, you will win every time. She was willing and obedient. She submitted to God's plan. Conception just started--you need to be pregnant with the word. Walk in the word, read Luke 1:26-38 for yourself. See Mary as she really was. Have a blessed day.
