We are walking in today: Prayer should be constant.
Luke 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint. Psalms 8:4-5 4) What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5) For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. The creation and fall are recorded in the first three chapters of Genesis. There we find that man bears the image of God in His spirit. We are His offspring. We find that as a consequence of disobedience, men and women become estranged from God--lost in a fallen world. We also find that God promises to provide a way back, a undoing of what sin had done. What was promised back in the third chapter of Genesis is now an accomplished fact. The way has been provided through Jesus, the Son of God. 1 Timothy 2:4-5 4) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Face it, we need help to be faithful disciples, and prayer provides a part of what we need. If Jesus felt the need to pray, then certainly we are in need of the same. Luke 22:40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. They (and us) ought to pray. Life does not stop. There are constant reasons to pray, and certainly prayer itself is of such a nature that you can hardly think of something more convenient. You can pray at any time, dress in any way, for any length of time, and with any posture. There are so many reasons to pray. Paul told the brethren in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Pray without ceasing. This means to have a constant attitude of prayer. We are to pray for wisdom. James 1:5-8 5) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6) But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7) For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8) A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. 1 Timothy 4:4-5 4) For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5) For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Matthew 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. The reason men and women ought to pray is because we need to be in fellowship with the very Source of our being. In Luke 18:1, they ought to pray and not lose heart--this phrase means not to faint or to grow despondent. To "lose heart" is the opposite of to endure or to remain steadfast. The parable which accompanies this admonition suggests that persistence in prayer pays off. The point regardless of circumstances--do not ever stop praying. If things are going well, we might become self-satisfied and not pray as we ought. If things appear hopeless, we might give up. Jesus admonishes us to always keep on praying, through good times and bad. There is a moral, emotional and spiritual strength to be found in prayer. As Jesus found courage in the garden as He faced His crucifixion, let us follow His example as well as His teaching, that at all times we ought to pray and not to lose heart. Amen God! Glory!
You have got to be constant in prayer. No matter how you feel. We are to pray to the Lord in good times and in bad. Keep on praying fiveamprayer. Make your requests to the Lord. Constant communication with the Lord is prayer. We know that He holds all the answers and makes a way, who else could you ask?! No one, pray to the God of heaven above. When things come against you--pray. It it time to get into your battlefield position, on your knees. Your prayer shows that you trust God to deliver, heal and comfort you. We are to walk by faith and not by sight. All things come through prayer and supplication. We may need to call ourselves into a fast. You are our everything. The Source of all. We talk to You about our struggles. While in prayer, God will order our steps--He is directing us. He has answered our requests, that is why He is telling us to make another request. We come together in prayer to put the enemy on the run--through our prayers. Not our will be done, but Your will be done. He covers us and makes a way for us. Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Fiveamprayer, we can pray for healing, knowledge, understanding, for things to be fixed by His mighty hand. Lord we are asking for a mighty move and pouring out at For His Glory and Life by Design. Open up the windows and pour out a blessing that there will not be room enough to receive. Keep on praying. Your breakthrough is on the way. Surrender that situation, over to Him. He is the only way out. The only One who can make a difference. Pray for understanding, wisdom, knowledge, breakthrough, to come against the enemy, not to be overtaken by temptation, for blessings. He is pouring out on us. He told us this morning that prayer is to be constant. Continue to pray--keep us God, in our minds and when we are going through. We should meditation on His word day and night.Thank You Father, for letting us know that we are to pray and not faint. Fiveamprayer we come seeking a word daily. He is our Omnipotent, omnipresent, all knowing God. Trust in the God of your experiences. There is so much that He had delivered you from. Things that should have happened, He kept from You, by His grace. Pray to the Lord--He will move heaven and Earth. We are praying to the Lord who can open a door that no man can shut and shut a door that no man can open. Ask Him, He will do it. Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Trust God, you know where you were this time last year. When your bank account was low, favor keep on spending. When you needed healing, you reached out to the hem of His garment and received healing. When you were looking for reconciliation in your marriage, God came to tell you, what He has put together let no man put asunder. There were things in your life that could drive you crazy, but He kept your mind, when it was stayed on Him. He made a way out of those tough situations that we usually got ourselves into. Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning. Thank You Lord, for making a way. Thank You for Your mercy. Thank You for Your grace! Trust in the God of your experience. He has made a way for us! He has kept us, shielded us and provided for us! The Lord has never failed us. That is reason enough to pray. How He has kept us from going crazy with all that is going on, but we know that we are not of this world. So we should be seeking solutions that are out of this world--our Heavenly Father. He covers us while we slumber, there are times when we should actually be dead and buried--yet kept by Him. We trust You God, we have seen You make a way in our own lives. You are tried and true. Keep praying. There is not a friend like Jesus. He will stick with us through it all. No one else can make that claim. He will never give up on us! Thank You Lord! Trust the God of your experiences. Many of us know all that we have been through--without God on our side where would we be?! Many of us don't even want to ponder that question--just shout Hallelujah!!! We have been brought out of the world into His saving grace. We lift up fiveamprayer, Lord, have them to keep praying. Make another request. We can seek Him for knowledge, understanding and wisdom. Pour out on us Your Spirit. Let Your Spirit hover over us. We want more and more of You, less and less of us. We lift up prayer requests those known and unknown. Bless them Lord and keep them for what ever they stand in the need of. We ask for forgiveness, we know that if it was not for Your hand in the situation, things would be different. We know that when You forgive there is no condemnation. Thank You Lord! We must forgive others to be forgiven. Pray to the Lord, and He will guide and direct you how to forgive.
We write in the precious blood: 1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
Welcome to the overflow....
Make another request. Prayer should be constant. Jabez knew that the no one else could deliver, heal and increase him, but God. Keep praying, fiveamprayer--we walk by faith and not by sight. 2011 is our year of abundance. Abundance is God's will for me, and I will not settle for anything less. We are walking in our enlarged coast and taking new territories. Hallelujah! Bless the Lord! We ought to pray and not faint. God is answering prayers, right now. I dare you to make a request of God. God is even answering thoughts. You should be praying all day--saying, "I trust You God. I want a closer relationship with You, Lord." Then you will be talking to God. Make another request. If He did it for the children of Israel, for your parents--He will do it for you. God is listening, you have His attention, make another request. The Lord is our only way out. Read the scriptures for yourself today. Pray without ceasing. We ought to pray and not faint. Your breakthrough is on the way. have a blessed day.
