We are walking in today: Can God Trust You?
2 Corinthians 1:8 For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life. Can God trust you? Being able to trust the ones we love is important to most people. If I asked you today, could you be trusted, most would answer yes. Most of us would answer--yes because we would reason that we are good and evenly Godly. We don't steal, don't cuss, or even cheat. But what if I where to ask, can God trust you? The answer becomes more difficult. Can God trust you when you are under attack? Can He trust you when all hell is breaking loose around you? Can He trust you when satan decides to shoot fiery darts at your marriage, or at your children? Job lost 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 oxen, 500 she asses, and all his servants and all his children. But if you read the end of the chapter, you will find these words, Job 42:12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses. When we get stressed out, or stretched too thin, or worn out--don't cut out and run! Stand! Ecclesiastes 9:12 For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them. God must be able to trust us in order to bless us. We want what God has for us, but can God trust us to stand?! Faith without works is dead!!! James 2:14-17 14) What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15) If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16) And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17) Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. God needs you to move by your faith in order to trust you!! Fiveamprayer, can God trust you??!!!!
Can God trust you to move in the direction that He is leading you? Can you continue to stand in your marriage, while all hell is breaking loose? If He can trust you with the small things, the can bless you with the bigger things. Can God trust you? This is a personal question this morning, fiveamprayer. No matter what we are going through--are we walking by faith and not by sight?! Can He trust you to move or will you operate in self? Our God is a jealous God, He will have no other God's before Him. He wants to bless us but can He trust us? We come seeking, asking, knocking what would You have us to do? Lord, You can trust us. Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. He will move to deliver us out, but can He trust us? Are we still waiting and wavering on what He asked us to do? The Lord is waiting for us to operate in faith. James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. He has been telling us what to do, but can He trust you? You keep seeking Him, but are you letting go of the things that He said can not go with you? Are you listening when God is telling you that it is time to go or are you staying there anyway? Remember last week He came with a word on being obedient. Are you trusting Him, fiveamprayer? Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. There is a peaceful rest on the line this morning, His Spirit resting gently on fiveamprayer. Can He trust you? God is trying to bless you. When you are in the will of God and walking as He directs, He can trust you. Are you moving as He directs? The Lord wants to bless you, can He trust you? He is our cloud by day and fire by night, He is leading us to all righteousness. Psalm 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Psalms 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He is our Jehovah Jireh, He provides for us! Thank You Lord! He comes to ask, each of us this morning, "can I trust you?" Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live. Who will you serve, fiveamprayer? The Lord and His word or are you trusting in yourself?! The flawed, wretched creature that you are outside of His presence? Revelation 3:17-18 17) Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18) I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. God is trying to bless you, but can He trust you?! Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen. Not our will, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven! If He can trust us, He will bless us. The Lord cares too much about us to give us something that would destroy us, if we can't handle it. What God gives us we should give back to Him showing that we trust His decisions for our life. James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. No fear, fiveamprayer, our God is not like man, who says whatever it takes to get your agreement. There is no trickery to our God! Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Our trust in God is never misplaced, can we say the same?! As you walk through this day, do a self check to see if you are walking in obedience and if God can trust you. There is something that God wants to get through to you, but can He trust you? He told you to sow in a time of famine. God sees everything that you do, there is no hiding from Him. You may be able to fool others, even yourself but God knows. The Lord cares for us, that is why we can cast our cares upon Him. We must have in our hearts, not our will, but Thy will be done! We are Your earthen vessels, Lord, use us as You see fit. Thank You Lord. Forgive us for our sins, thank You for casting them into the sea to be remembered no more. Teach us to forgive like You, with no condemnation--so we can be forgiven by You.
We seal this prayer in the precious blood: 1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
Every request made with the prayer of Jabez has already been granted. Thank You Lord! Hallelujah! Praise His name! God is looking for someone that He can trust. Is it you? God is speaking to that person walking in disobedience, will you line up with His word? This is all about God and His business--saving souls! Luke 15:4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? God is looking for not one to be lost! Can He trust you, fiveamprayer? Think on this all day today. We sealed this prayer in the blood of Jesus, amen. Glory to Your name!
