Seed Does Nothing Until Planted!

Luke 8:11; 1 Peter 1:23; John 6:63; Mark 4:30-32; Genesis 1:11; Romans 10:10; Galatians 6:7; Mark 4:26-27; 2 Corinthians 9:6: Numbers 23:19

We are walking in today:  Seed Does Nothing Until Planted!

Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.  Making sowing a lifestyle.  Most people expect God's word to work like magic or a quick fix.  The word is absolute truth and does not lie.  It is not magic! God's word is like a seed.  We know because of what Jesus said.  A seed has steps of growth and development, but nothing happens if the seed never gets planted, in the first place.  Let us look at what God has already spoken on the subject of sowing of the word.  Because God has us walking in today, a seed does nothing until planted.  The Holy Ghost through Peter said God's word is a seed.  1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.  God's word is alive, Jesus is like a seed--the Bible is full of unseen life.  John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.  Jesus said His words are alive!  They contain life, the words in your Bible may look lifeless and powerless, seeds do too.  But they are not without life or power!  Mark 4:30-32 30) And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? 31) It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: 32) But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.  Jesus explains that the kingdom of God, works like a seed.  So if we are to understand God's kingdom and how He operates, we need to understand seed.  A seed is alive--it contains life!  Genesis 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.  Your natural senses are incapable of judging whether a seed is alive of not.  You can not see, feel, hear, smell or taste the life in a seed.  There is only one way to prove that a seed has life, you have to plant it.  A seed does nothing until it is planted.  Seeds do not grow, sitting in a sack up on the shelf.  They must be planted in the proper place and cared for.  If we desire for the word of God to produce in our lives we must decide to plant His word in our hearts and minds. Where do we plant these seed from God?  Pastor Thomas taught a number of weeks ago that we are dirt.  Well in the natural, seeds are planted in the ground--in the dirt.  We were created from the dust of the ground and when we die our physical bodies return to the same.  We receive the seeds and must keep watch over them.  Watering them with the word of God and keeping out those things that would choke and hinder growth--chasing after the things of the world and misplacing time, money and importance.  Don't let the world choke your seeds that you become unfruitful--seeking the things of the world over a closer relationship with the Father!!   Yes, it takes action on our behalf.  The best way is to plant the seed of the word of God in your life is by speaking the word.  Hearing others speak the word also is good.  But what will produce a bountiful harvest?  As speaking the word, yourself?!  Speaking God's word with your mouth is essential, as we speak His word we are planting seeds in our hearts for the harvest of the results that we desire.  Faith comes every time we hear the word of God.  Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  Whatever you need to be saved or delivered from, confession--what you say, is essential!  It doesn't make a difference, a seed is a much smaller than the plant that it produces.  The problem you face is that it may seem huge in comparison of scripture, may seem very small.  But when planted, that word will grow and you will over come the problem.  We must remember--speak the word of God for each and every problem--no matter how impossible it may appear.  A seed always produces after it's own kind.  Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.  Whatever you need or desire--find the scriptures relating to that.  Then plant those scriptures inside of you in abundance.  Those seeds will grow up and produce a harvest of what you need or desire.  A seed is so powerful, as a seed begins to grow it will push up the dirt, rocks, ect.--whatever the obstacles are.  God's word planted in our hearts will do the same, push the obstacles out of the way.  This is a lifestyle change, in the name of Jesus!  A seed starts it's growth in secret, underground.  Mark 4:26-27 26) And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
27) And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.  The only way to tell if it is growing is to dig it up or wait for the plant to spring forth.  If you dig it up a seed, you may kill it.  A seed takes time to produce.  No one expects a seed to produce a harvest that same day that it is planted!?  Sometimes the word of God seems to spring up and brings fruit immediately--yet if we knew the details, we would understand the fruit of the word grew in that persons life--over time!  So we must always apply the word no matter what the circumstances say or how it looks.  A seed is persistent.  A seed never gives up, but works day and night.  Even when you are sleeping.  The seed you have planted is working to grow and express itself in a fruitful harvest.  Other seeds do not effect the seed.  Whatever happens to other seeds, doesn't make any difference to a specific seed.  Each seed sticks to it's own task.  One wheat seed planted in a corn field will still produce wheat.  Seed doesn't become discouraged or quit even if other seeds die.  A seed will stop growing without nourishment.  Planting a seed is not enough to ensure a harvest.  Seed must be protected and taken care of until harvest time.  A seed which is dug up or not watered will not produce.  More seed planted, produces a larger harvest.  2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.  Fiveamprayer, think about this as you begin to plant seeds and allow the Holy Spirit to help you apply the to the role of God's word in your life and your lifestyle!
God came to tell us this morning, that the seed that He planted on the inside of us is still stirring, it still has life!  Don't quit or give up!  His word is true!  Speak the word, know the word!  There are seeds all in the word of God!!  Seeds not planted will not produce.  Plant those seeds in your spirit.  No weapon formed against us shall prosper.  No matter what you are facing!!  Faith without works is dead.  We are to walk by faith and not by sight.  We can do all things through Christ Jesus!  Plant the seed, speak His word out of your mouth.  I will bless the Lord at all times, His praises shall continuously be in my mouth.  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for Thou art with me!  The seed gives us strength!  There is seed stirring on the inside of us!  He has already overcame the world!  Trust and believe no matter how it looks, speak His word!  The seed will produce, get up and cross over this Jordan.  Get up and fight, the battle is not yours is is the Lord's!  Continue in this race!  He has already made a way for us!  Speak the word our of your mouth.  Speak seeds of healing, salvation, victory over your life and the lives of others!  We are coming out by His mighty hand, fiveamprayer!  We are to plant seeds of His word in our lives, by speaking His word, get rid of all doubt and fear.  God has not given us the spirit of fear!  We speak seeds into our marriages, God is a reconciler; in our finances, He is Jehovah Jireh--El Shaddai; in our minds, He keeps us in perfect peace with our minds stayed on Him!  Plant seeds, fiveamprayer!  The seeds of coming out and crossing over that Jordan.  Plant seeds to sow His word in your life!  From Genesis to Revelation, He is the same yesterday, today and forever more!  Plant seeds over your children, your home, your marriage!  Sow His word into your life, speak it--not just think it.  Greater is He that is within me, than he that is in this world.  That is how we can stand in any storm, on His word!  He responds to His word.  Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?  Speak and sow what He has said.  Sow that seed.  Hold on to His unchanging hand.  He is the way out of no way!  Speak seed over your marriages, your house and your ministries!  Speak the word, this is the time and season of overflow and you will see.  This is the year of manifestation and revelation.  Speak His word, it will produce!  Say it in the name of Jesus!  Speak His word, a seed does nothing until it is planted!  Sow His word into your life!  Thank You Lord for showing up this morning and letting us know that Your word produces a harvest.  We lift up prayer requests, those known and unknown have them to speak Your word for the seed to be planted and take root.  Forgive us Lord for not speaking Your word.  For planting weeds instead of fruit.  Thank You for forgiving us with no condemnation.  We must speak the seeds that will destroy the enemy and all of his tricks.  Thank You Lord for teaching us how to forgive so that our prayers are not hindered.  That we speak seeds of love and peace to everyone, no longer walking in offense.

We seal this prayer in His precious blood, by His Spirit:
I will sow God's word into my heart and mind, keeping a watchful eye on my harvest and caring for it!

Welcome to the overflow...

The weapons that You have given us are not carnal, but mighty to the pulling down of strongholds.  We can bind and loose somethings when we speak the word of God, in that situation!!  This is a battle, every day we must have on all of our armor ready to fight with Your word.  By Your stripes they are already healed!!  Speak the word over our children, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper!  Speak the word over your life!  We have to sow the word of God, to reap the word of God in our lives.  Take time out to read your Bible, out loud to yourself.  God stands at the door knocking ready to come in and sup with you.  Won't you let Him in?!  He is available any time--call Him up!  Fiveamprayer it is time to sow some seed--the word of God in your life.  Get busy planting those words of life into your life and the lives of others.  A seed not planted will not produce anything!  But once planted and nourished, that seed will not give up--it will produce it's harvest and more after it's kind!  Have a blessed day!  God showed up this morning to let us know that we must sow the seed of His word.  God does not ask us to do anything if He is not ready to respond to our response.  Get ready to see Him like never before!!  Hallelujah!
