No more wrestling, time for complete resting!

Hebrews 4:3; Psalm 3:1-3; Acts 23:11-12; Isaiah 54:17; Exodus 33:21-22; 1 Kings 5:4; 1 Chronicles 22:18; 2 Chronicles 14:7; Psalm 27:13; John 14:27; Psalm 37:1; Psalm 118:22; Joshua 10:24-25

We are walking in today:  No more wrestling, time for complete resting!

Hebrews 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.  A word that has come up in my heart and mind lately is rest.  The rest that I am talking about is the rest of trusting in God and His word.  I believe at times we literally try to supered God's authority in our lives by taking matters into our own hands.  By doing so we have flipped over into a very uncomfortable and exhausting place of unrest or place of wrestling.  There is a place of rest in the Lord.  We can enter into the rest of the God.  Where we do not fear the strategies of the enemy, the challenges before us, nor the shaken world system.  A place where we are doing our part, while trusting God to do His part.  Psalm 3:1-3 1) Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.  2) Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. 3) But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.  I believe that king David knew how to rest in the Lord.  In this context of scripture, David finds himself fleeing for his life, from his son Absalom who undermined his rulership.  David was not in sitting on the throne in a place of power, he was running for his life from those that dealt with him in treachery, yet still at the same time resting in the Lord.  The apostle Paul could identify with David.  He was surrounded by hundreds of unreceptive Jews who were set on his destruction.  Acts 23:11-12 11) And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome. 12) And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.  The plot to assassinate Paul seemed foolproof, except for the fact that Paul knew that God is the lifter of his head.  He also had a promise from God--you are going to be a witness in Rome.  God arranged for Paul's nephew to hear of the plan and to be taken to inform the commander of the army, of the evil plot.  The commander then intervened--the plot was blocked!  Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.  Rest is a priceless commodity, stemming first from the promise from God.  Quietness is a state of ease and rest.  God told us yesterday, not to put a question mark, where He has put a period.  What comes after the period?  A space, a place of rest, a cleft, a place by Him--Exodus 33:21-22 21) And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: 22) And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by.  Fiveamprayer, we find rest, in the Lord!!  He has a place for us, right by Him!!  He will cover us as we stand on the rock!!  We can rest completely, He has us in the cleft, covered by His hand showing us His glory!!  Hallelujah!!  No more struggling or fretting because He has given us rest on every side!  1 Kings 5:4 But now the LORD my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.  1 Chronicles 22:18 Is not the LORD your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side? for he hath given the inhabitants of the land into mine hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD, and before his people.  2 Chronicles 14:7 Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.  That is the point when you enter into His rest.  No longer wrestling, trusting and believing in His word and standing in faith to see it come to pass in your life.  Psalm 27:13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.  Thank You Lord for keeping us, hiding us in You!  Fiveamprayer no more wrestling, being frustrated, fretting, fearful or troubled!  You are our refuge!!  Our shelter, our strong tower, hide us in Your tabernacle!!  Thank You Lord for extending Your wing over us, You are our covering and protection!!  2 Kings 6:14-17 14) Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about. 15) And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? 16) And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. 17) And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.  When we truly rest, it is something that we have, not something that we are still trying to attain.  Believe that you have it, He has given us that--John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
I don't know about you but when God came by yesterday and said don't put a question mark where God has put a period, I stop wrestling with some things!  I am resting in the book of Genesis, Exodus, Numbers and kept walking in His word and finally rest in the book of Revelation.  He is the Alpha and Omega, He knows the beginning from the end.  Rest in His word, fiveamprayer!  No more wrestling, we are to walk by faith and not by sight.  It is impossible to please God without faith.  Psalm 37:1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.  No matter what you are going through, He has already made a way out for us!!  Rest in His promises--they will come to pass.  He watches over His word to perform it!  God is all truth, there is no deceit in Him.  So there is no worry about if He will or can do it.  He is willing and able!!  Hallelujah!  Praise Him!  The God we serve is more than able and has more than one way to bring us out!!  The battle was never ours it has always been the Lord's!  Trust in your captain, general, king!!  Get up another day, walking in His sufficient grace and swing your sword--the word of God!!  He is teaching us to walk in His word, to speak His word and to stand believing in His word!  He has put a period, now rest in it!!  Take back all that the enemy has taken from you!!  We are able to fight and rest in the Lord at the same time!!  Rest in God!  He is the God of reconciliation, rest in your marriage.  He is teaching you all that you need to know, rest in your ministry.  He is showing you that He is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, the children of Israel in the wilderness did not have clothes or shoes that wore out, rest in His provision!  He is the God who delivered out Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego that is why they could have this response to the king, they were resting in the God who is present, Jehovah Shammah.  Daniel 3:16-18 (AMP) 16) Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, it is not necessary for us to answer you on this point. 17) If our God Whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. 18) But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up!   That is what it looks like when you are resting on His word and His promises!!  Staring death in the face, by way of a fiery furnace, letting the king know who they serve to death and beyond!  With such authority they let it be known who they will bow to and to Him only, having nothing else before them.  The relationship that they each had with God and each other, that peace of knowing that you are standing on a sure, secure, steady rock, not sinking sand!  Hallelujah!  Thank You God--You are our rock!!  Psalm 118:22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.  Rest in the word of God!  The same God that called Lazarus from the grave, the same God that got up Himself three days after taking back the keys to the kingdom!  Rest in the promises of God!!  Stop wrestling, He will provide for all of our needs.  He opens doors that no man can shut and shut door that no man can open.  He is God all by Himself!  He told us that 2012 is our year of authority.  Rest in His word.  Thank You for peaceful rest.  Fiveamprayer is resting in Your peace because we are keeping our minds stayed on You!  God is doing a new thing, rest in it!!  Rest in your marriage, children, finances--everything!  We have rest beyond the river, rest on every side.  Don't fear or fret, no more wrestling--rest in it!  He told us that in our weakness, He makes us strong!  No more questions where God has put a period!  We have to walk this out.  We lift up fiveamprayer, there are some that are wrestling in their minds.  Give them perfect peace as they turn their minds to Your word and stay on You.  We lift up prayer requests, those known and unknown have them to rest in You, Lord.  You are the God of reconciliation, a way out of no way.  We come to ask for Your forgiveness for not trusting and resting in You.  Thank You Lord for forgiving us, that we can rest in You, with no condemnation.  Thank You Lord for casting our sins into the sea to be remembered no more.  Teach to forgive like You Lord.  We must not walk in unforgiveness or we will experience a lack of rest or peace.

We seal this prayer in His precious blood, by His Spirit:  No more wrestling, complete resting in His word!!

And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them. 25) And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.  We can call out to God, "Lord rise up, let Your enemies be scattered!"  Get into the word.  Read these scriptures for yourself!  They should really come alive and take life up off of the page!  Rest in the Lord is my Shepherd--it covers everything!!  Hallelujah!  Resting in Your word!
