We are walking in today: It Is Time For Yahweh's Prophetic Revelation Of His Feast Days!!
Witness prophecy throughout the Bible: naba' H5012 spelled nun, beit, aleph-- to prophesy, under influence of divine spirit, of false prophets, under influence of divine spirit, of false prophets a primitive root; to prophesy, i.e. speak (or sing) by inspiration (in prediction or simple discourse):—
prophesying, make self a prophet.
2 Chronicles 9:29 Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
Torah: Numbers 11:25
Prophets: 1 Samuel 10:5-6, 10:10-11, 19:20, 19:23; Jeremiah 2:8, 5:31, 14:14-15, 23:16, 23:21, 25:13; Ezekiel 6:2, 13:2, 13:16, 21:14, 21:28, 29:2, 35:2, 36:3, 37:7; Amos 3:8, 7:15-16; Zechariah 13:3-4
Writitngs: 1 Kings 22:18; 1 Chronicles 25:1; 2 Chronicles 18:7, 18:11
Jeremiah 27:10 For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.
The Mystery of Smyrna & Philadelphia Revealed
At the time when this revelation was given to the Apostle John in about 96 A.D., there were seven congregations in Asia Minor, and John was instructed to write letters to each of them with a direct message from our Mashiach, Yeshua. Five of these congregations had faults and only two of them were found to be blameless. The messages to each of these assemblies have a threefold meaning:
First of all each letter has a primary association, having a local and direct bearing upon the assembly to which it was written.
Secondly, each letter has a personal application. Even though Mashiach addresses each assembly as a whole, the message to “overcome” is addressed to the individual.
Thirdly, each congregation (individually), as well as all seven congregations collectively, are given a prophetic anticipation of what to expect for their good works, or their failure to overcome.
Seven is the number of perfection, completion, fullness and covenant. We see in them seven eras of the life of the body of Mashiach (Messiah) on earth for the duration of seven millennia from the creation until the second coming of Mashiach. Here’s a list all seven congregations below and the meaning of their names:
Ephesus: “to let go, relax; permitted.”
Smyrna: “strengthened for myrrh.”
Pergamum: “fortified, tower, castle; height, elevation.”
Thyatira: “ruled by a woman” and Jezebel’s hometown Tyre in Phoenicia; hence ruled by Jezebel; it also means “odor of affliction.”
Sardis: “red ones.”
Philadelphia: “brotherly love; kindness, affection.”
Laodicea: “judgment, vengeance or punishment of the people.”
We can learn a lot from these “types” of congregations by the meanings of their names and we can also see that our Messiah’s rebuke or commendation to each of them matches the meanings of their names. To the Congregation at Ephesus, we can see that their name means “to relax” the commandments as they became “permissive” and they lost their first love for Messiah.
Revelation 2:1-6
“Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write: ‘These things saith He that holdeth the seven stars in His right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks: 2 I know thy works and thy labor and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them that are evil; and how thou hast tried them that say they are apostles and are not, and hast found them liars; 3 and hast borne, and hast patience, and for My name’s sake hast labored and hast not fainted. 4 Nevertheless, I have something against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent and do the works as at first; or else I will come unto thee quickly and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, unless thou repent. 6 But this thou hast: that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
To the Congregation at Pergamos, Yeshua’s rebuke to them included the fact that they tolerated the doctrine of “Balaam” and the doctrine of the “Nicolaitanes.” Their name means “fortified, height elevation,” because Balak took Balaam to all of the “high places” of worship unto Ba’al The very name of “Pergamos” means that they compromise with pagan idolatry or they tolerate those who do (Revelation 2:12-16).
Revelations 2:14-16
14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. 15 So thou also hast them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. 16 Repent, or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.
Numbers 22:41; 23:3
22:41 And it came to pass on the morrow that Balak took Balaam and brought him up into the high places of Baal, that thence he might see the utmost part of the people.
23:3 And Balaam said unto Balak, “Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go. Perhaps the Lord will come to meet me, and whatsoever He showeth me I will tell thee.” And he went to a high place.
Unto the Congregation of Thyatira, it is interesting that their very name means “ruled by a woman.” Yeshua’s rebuke for them is that they “tolerate that woman Jezebel” and her false religion of Ba’al worship. Jezebel’s hometown is Tyre in Phoenicia, hence the name “Thya-Tyre”.
Revelations 2:18-24
18 “And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write: ‘These things saith the Son of God, who hath His eyes like unto a flame of fire, and His feet are like fine brass: 19 I know thy works, and charity and service, and faith and thy patience, and thy works, and the last to be more than the first.
20 Notwithstanding, I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, who calleth herself a prophetess,to teach and to seduce My servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication, and she repented not. 22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. 23 And I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He that searcheth the reins and hearts; and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. 24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine and who have not known the depths of Satan (as they say) I will put upon you no other burden.
The Congregation in Sardis was rebuked because they had a reputation for being “alive” or “on fire” but they were spiritually dead; hence, the meaning of their name “red ones.” Yeshua found their “works” to be imperfect.
Revelations 3:1-4
“And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write: ‘These things saith He that hath the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: I know thy works, and that thou hast a name that thou livest, but thou art dead. 2 Be watchful and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found thy works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard; and hold fast and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. 4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.
The Congregation of Laodicea was rebuked for being “lukewarm, neither cold nor hot.” They obviously became dependent on their financial wealth, and had no real need for the presence of Yahweh in their congregation. That is why Yeshua said to them: “Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and know not that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.” The meaning of their name is “judgment, vengeance, punishment of the people” which is why He warned them that He would “spue them out of His mouth” if they did not repent
Revelations 3:14-18
14 “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write: ‘These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God:1 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of My mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, “I am rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing,” and knowest not that thou art wretched and miserable, and poor and blind and naked, 18 I counsel thee to buy from Me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich, and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed and that the shame of thy nakedness may not appear, and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see.
Now, let’s discuss the two “overcoming” congregations to which Yeshua made a sharp contrast with those who merely “say that they are Jews, but are not.” This means that the only two congregations whom he found faithful were those who obey Torah. Even though Smyrna is in Greece, and Philadelphia is in Asia Minor, I believe that “Smyrna & Philadelphia” are describing certain “types” of believers and not necessarily ones that existed in this era or geographic location.
Smyrna means in the Greek Strong’s Concordance:
#4666. smurna smoor’-nah apparently strengthened for 3464; myrrh--myrrh.
#3464. muron moo’-ron probably of foreign origin (compare 4753, 4666); “myrrh,” i.e. (by implication) perfumed oil--ointment.
*Note: Myrrh, is a spice that is used for purification and for embalming dead bodies. Esther prepared herself with “myrrh” for six months before going to meet her king, her husband (Esther 2:12). The Hebrew word for “myrrh” is as follows:
#3910. lot lote probably from 3874; a gum (from its sticky nature), probably ladanum--myrrh.
*Note: The root word for “lot” (myrrh) in Hebrew is “luwt” which means “a veil, covering” and this is Yom Kippur language!
#3874. luwt loot a primitive root; to wrap up--cast, wrap.
#3875. lowt lote from 3874; a veil--covering.
The word for “atonement” in Hebrew is “kippur” which is a plural word for the singular word “kaphar” (#3723) and it has another root word “kaphar” (#3722). Both words mean the following: “ransom, redemption price, to cover, satisfied, covered, to cancel, to appease, to make atonement, cleanse, forgive.” Another related word is “kapporeth”
(#3727) which means: “a lid to cover the Ark of the Covenant or the mercy seat.”
Smyrna represents the “five foolish virgins” who were not ready to go into the marriage on “Yom Teruw’ah” or “The Feast of Trum-pets” because their oil lamps were not filled. While the congregation at Philadelphia is typified in the “five wise virgins” who had oil in their lamps to light their path to go and meet the bridegroom. Philadelphia means “brotherly love” and this is the characteristic that is most desirable to our Mashiach. It is because they obey the two greatest of all commandments that they are accounted worthy to escape through the “open door” at the end of the tribulation of 1,260 days. When we see the term “the last trump” in 1st Corinthians 15:52, Paul was not merely speaking of “the last trumpet” on the Feast of Trum-pets or Yom Teruw’ah. For even though the first bride typified in Leah goes into the wedding first at the “last trumpet” on Yom Teruw’ah, there is yet another “last trumpet” for the other bride typified in Rachel on Yom Kippur:
Leviticus 25:9 Then shall you cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the Day of Atonement shall you make the trumpet sound throughout all your land
Revelation 1:10 I came to be, in the Spirit, on the Day of the Lord; and I heard behind me a loud voice, like a trumpet, 11 saying, “Write down what you see on a scroll, and send it to the seven Messianic communities — Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea!”

Every 50th year, the Torah commands that there be a cancellation of debts. Any Yisra’elite who had lost their inheritance due to financial hardship or by becoming a widow, would then be able to redeem their land and their inheritance on this day. In the case of unconverted Yisra’el, she was divorced for her harlotry with idols and then scattered to the nations. Then she crucified her own husband, thereby making her a widow. But when she “suffers tribulation” during “The Ten Days of Awe” she will go through labor pains giving birth to the “man-child” or “the one new man” and through child-bearing she will be saved. She will be like Tamar who gave birth to twins when Yudah (Judah), became her “kinsman redeemer.” But this time it will be “The Lion of the Tribe of Yudah” who will redeem her land and her inheritance, for He is her “kinsman redeemer.”
Jeremiah 3:15 I will give you shepherds after my own heart, and they will feed you with knowledge and understanding.
Isaiah 54:4 “Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed; neither be thou confounded, for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
Ephesians 2:15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that He might make in Himself one new man out of the two, so making peace,
1 Timothy 2:15 Notwithstanding, she shall be saved in childbearing if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sober mindedness.
The whole love story of a Groom for His bride revealed in all the Feast Days of Yahweh. Shows the scriptures as a compiled parable. Truths revealed to the church that seeks Yahweh, loves Yahweh and loves each other. To those in this 10 days of awe there is time to prepare for the coming Sword. Shema, Selah let us pause and consider this lesson heard in our hearing.
