Genesis 24 in its entirety key verse 25

Genesis 24:55 Her brother and mother said, “Let the girl stay with us a few days, at least ten. After that, she will go.”

Ten Days of Awe Leading up to Yom Kippur!

For years I have heard folks within the Hebraic Root’s Community say that there is no biblical support for what is often referred to in Judaism as “The Ten Days of Awe.”

They say that these ten days are just a man-made Rabbinic Tradition
In Genesis 24:55, Rebekah was asked to wait “TEN DAYS” before going to marry Isaac. However, she was unwilling to wait!

She was ready to go and meet the bridegroom!

In Revelation 2:10, the Congregation at Smyrna was told that they would have to suffer tribulation for “TEN DAYS!”

Revelation 2:10  Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. Look, the Adversary is going to have some of you thrown in prison, in order to put you to the test; and you will face an ordeal for ten days. Remain faithful, even to the point of death; and I will give you life as your crown.

However, the Congregation at Philadelphia has “AN OPEN DOOR” to go and meet the bridegroom right away!

In this study, we are going to find out exactly what Rebekah & Philadelphia have in common.

There is a phenomenon found within the pages of scripture pertaining to “ten virgins” who are selected out of “seven women” within the final “ten days” leading up to the second coming of Messiah. There are ten days between the two Feasts of Yahweh called “Yom Teruw’ah” (Day of Blowing) and “Yom Kippur” (Day of Atonement) and there is going to be a wedding of two brides to one bridegroom. There are some people who would try to discredit this prophetic event known as “The Ten Days of Awe” because they think that it is found no place in the pages of scripture. But a closer look reveals a “prophetic shadow-picture” of the preparation of the bride of Mashiyach (Messiah) during these ten days. This prophetic picture is revealed as “the hidden manna” to those who have “eyes to see” what Yahweh is teaching us in these last days

Revelation 2:17 Those who have ears, let them hear what the Spirit is saying to the Messianic communities. To him winning the victory I will give some of the hidden man. I will also give him a white stone, on which is written a new name that nobody knows except the one receiving it.”’
However, both of these brides will become only one bride or “one stick” in the hand of Yahweh (Ezekiel 37:16-17) on that day when our Messiah, Yeshua returns. The “Marriage Supper of the Lamb” will unite “Two Houses of Yisra’el” typified in Leah & Rachel, and this will take place on Yom Kippur as seen in Revelation 19:7. Who are these “seven women” out of whom are selected “ten virgins?” And how do these ten virgins end up becoming “two brides” and then finally, only one bride? The prophet Isaiah may give us a clue these seven women represent the seven continents of the earth. They are asking to be called by the name of the bridegroom (Yeshua) because they were divorced (exiled) from the covenant of Yisra’el, and now, the only way that they can be restored to the covenant is through Yeshua Messiah, who is the kinsman redeemer!

Isaiah 4:1-6
On that day, seven women will grab hold of one man and say, “We will supply our own food
and wear our own clothes. Just let us bear your name; take away our disgrace.” 2 On that day, Adonai’s plant will be beautiful and glorious; and the fruit of the land will be the pride and splendor of Isra’el’s survivors. 3 Those left in Tziyon and remaining in Yerushalayim will be called holy, and everyone in Yerushalayim written down for life.  4 When Adonai washes away the filth of the women of Tziyon and cleanses Yerushalayim from the blood shed in it with a blast of searing judgment, 5 Adonai will create over the whole site of Mount Tziyon and over those who assemble there a smoking cloud by day and a shining, flaming fire by night; for the Glory will be over everything like a chupah. 6 A sukkah will give shade by day from the heat; it will also provide refuge and cover from storm and rain.

Ezekiel 37:15-17
15 The word of Adonai came to me: 16 “You, human being, take one stick and write on it, ‘For Y’hudah and those joined with him [among] the people of Isra’el.’ Next, take another stick and write on it, ‘For Yosef, the stick of Efrayim, and all the house of Isra’el who are joined with him.’17 Finally, bring them together into a single stick, so that they become one in your hand.

Revelations 19:7 “Let us rejoice and be glad! Let us give him the glory! For the time has come for the
wedding of the Lamb, and his Bride has prepared herself

This prophecy seen in Isaiah describing “seven women” is actually a metaphor for the “seven congregations” seen in the first three chapters of the book of Revelation. In Isaiah 4:1 these “seven women” are requesting to be “called by the name” of the bridegroom so that they will not be looked upon with reproach. But out of these seven congregation “types,” the only ones who are still“virgins” when the bridegroom comes are “two congregations.” Why are the other five congregations referred to as “women” rather than “virgins?” Well, in Revelation 14:4, in most of our English Bibles, it says that the 144,000 who “follow the lamb wherever he goes” are “undefiled by women.” Some people have interpreted this literally to mean “male virgins” but, the Greek word here for “women” is “gune” which is a singular word that means “wife, woman.” This is referring to “that woman Jezebel” in Revelation 2:20 who “teaches the servants of Yahweh to eat things sacrificed unto idols and to commit spiritual as well as physical fornication.” The“woman” is none other than “Mystery Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots” (Revelation 17:5). In order to be considered a “virgin” one must “come out of her” (Revelation 18:4) and become “set-apart”from all forms of pagan idolatry.

Revelation 18:4  Then I heard another voice out of heaven say: “My people, come out of her!
so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not be infected by her plagues,

Consequently, out of these seven congregations, only two of them are “undefiled” by the woman Jezebel’s false religion of Ba’al. But out of these “two virgins” only one of them has oil in her lamp and she alone is found worthy to escape the wrath of Elohiym, and thus go into the marriage.
Contrary to popular belief, the period known as “The Great Tribulation” (Matthew 24:21) will not be for seven years, but it will last for only 3 ½ years as seen in Daniel 12:11 & Revelation 11:3. But the final ten days of this tribulation period will take us to the second coming of our Mashiyach, and it is mysteriously connected to this parable which he spoke concerning ten virgins. Shema, Selah let us consider this teaching, we have heard today.
