Revelation 2:8-10   8 “To the angel of the Messianic Community in Smyrna, write: ‘Here is the message from the First and the Last, who died and came alive again: 9 “I know how you are suffering and how poor you are (though in fact you are rich!), and I know the insults of those who call themselves Jews but aren’t — on the contrary, they are a synagogue of the Adversary. 10 Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. Look, the Adversary is going to have some of you thrown in prison, in order to put you to the test; and you will face an ordeal for ten days. Remain faithful, even to the point of death; and I will give you life as your crown.11 Those who have ears, let them hear what the Spirit is saying to the Messianic communities. He who wins the victory will not be hurt at all by the second death.”’

In Revelation 2:10, we read that the Congregation at Smyrna will have to suffer tribulation for ten days, as I have already illustrated. But the Hebrew word for “awe” means: “tribulation, trouble” and it is synonymous with “tsarah” which has to do with sister rivalry between Leah (Gentiles) & Rachel (Jews).

This word for “tribulation” in Revelation 2:10 is the following word in Greek:
#2347 thlipsis: pressure, afflicted, anguish, persecution, tribulation, trouble.

And it comes from this other root word:
#2346 thlibo: to afflict, narrow, suffer tribulation, trouble. These “ten days” between The Feast of Trumpets & the Day of Atonement are going to bring the Yudah (Jews) who are sealed in the forehead (typified in Rachel) to finally see their Messiah through being provoked to jealousy or “sister rivalry!” When Rachel sees that her sister Leah (born-again believers) have now been “caught up” to meet Yeshua in the air, she will suddenly realize that she did not discern her time of visitation (Jeremiah 50:27, Luke 19:44). During these Ten Days of Awe, the bride of Mashiach typified in Leah, Ephraim & Philadelphia will be in the “chuppah” or the bridal chamber with Him while Rachel suddenly realizes that her Messiah has now married her sister and she has missed him. Then begins the Ten Days of Trouble or Ten Days of Going to Meet the Bridegroom?

Here, Rebekah’s family ask her to remain “ten days” before going to marry Isaac and this is an allusion to Revelation 2:10 where the Congregation at Smyrna is going to go through tribulation for ten days. Eleazar (a type of the Holy Spirit) does not want to be hindered from taking the bride to the bridegroom Rebekah heard the call to go meet her bridegroom and she agreed with Eleazar that she did not want to wait for ten days, as she was ready to go and meet the bridegroom. Unlike Rachel, who will have to suffer for ten more days before she can be with her bridegroom, Rebekah & Leah are “types” of the bride who run after the groom.

Genesis 24:56-58  56 And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing YHWH has prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master. 57 And they said, We will call the damsel, and enquire at her mouth.  58 And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Will you go with this man? And she said, I will go.

Here we are seeing a picture of the bride who “follows the lamb wherever he goes” as Rebekah said “I will go.”

Song of Solomon 1:4  Draw me, we will run after you: the king has brought me into his chambers: (chuppah) we will be glad and rejoice in you, we will remember your love more than wine: the upright love you.

Here in the Song of Solomon, the Shulamite woman is a picture of the bride of Mashiach and she says “we will run after you.”

The English word “chamber” here in these verses is the Hebrew word “chuppah” which is a wedding canopy:

Psalm 19:5  Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber (chuppah), and rejoices as a strong man to run a race.

Joel 2:16  Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet (chuppah).

This entire language in Joel and in the Psalms speaks of the preparation of the bride for her bridegroom and the “chuppah” is the covering or wedding canopy! The closet for the bride’s preparation is her “prayer closet.”

# 2646 chuppah khoop-paw from #2645; a canopy; chamber, closet, defense.

The Hebrew root for this word is:

#2645 chaphah khaw-faw: to cover, by implication, to veil, to encase, protect.

What is interesting is that when Rebekah went to meet Isaac, she “veiled herself.” Rebekah “covering herself” is Yom Kippur language! As I previously mentioned, Yom Kippur is nick-named “face-to-face” because every year the High Priest had to go behind the “veil” to come “face-to-face” and meet with the Most High. He had to intercede on behalf of Yisra’el for her sins, and if he had any sin for which he had not repented of, he would die in the Holy of Holies! At the future Day of Atonement, the bride who sufficiently sanctifies herself or “afflicts” herself will be able to come “face-to-face” with the bridegroom and she will look upon him whom she has pierced.

Yom Kippur is also the same day when Yeshua Mashiach was circumcised as a baby boy eight days after his birth on September 11th in 3 B.C. which happened to fall on the Feast of Trumpets that year or “Yom Teruw’ah.” The constellation seen on that night is from the prophecy of Revelation 12 as “a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars.”  His blood was sprinkled as an infant because his blood would later on be the blood of the lamb that would be sprinkled on the mercy seat for Yisra’el. Hence, the blood released when his foreskin was removed is like the “veil” to our hearts that is removed when our hearts are circumcised.

Deuteronomy 10:16 Therefore, circumcise the foreskin of your heart; and don’t be stiffnecked any longer!

Jeremiah 4:4  “People of Yudah and inhabitants of Yerushalayim,  circumcise yourselves for Adonai,  remove the foreskins of your heart!  Otherwise my fury will lash out like fire, burning so hot that no one can quench it,  because of how evil your actions are.

Romans 2:28  For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

He fulfilled all three of the Fall Feasts at his birth, for he was born on Yom Teruw’ah (Feast of Trumpets), circumcised on Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) and he also “dwelled” in a sukkah (manger) with his parents during Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles).  Selah Shema, we must listen and consider this teaching click here.
