We are walking in today: It's Time To Sharpen Our Swords!
Ezekiel 21:9-11 9) Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD; Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished: 10) It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: should we then make mirth? it contemneth the rod of my son, as every tree. 11) And he hath given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer. In this time and season with assurance from God, we need to sharpen our swords. Let's look at the same scripture in the amplified,
Ezekiel 21:9-11 9)Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus says the Lord: Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened and also polished; 10) It [the sword of Babylon] is sharpened that it may make a slaughter, polished that it may flash and glitter like lightning! Shall we then rejoice and make mirth [when such a calamity is impending]? But the rod or scepter of My son [Judah] rejects and views with contempt every tree [that is, since God's promise long ago to Judah is certain, he believes Judah's scepter must remain no matter what power arises against it]! 11) And the sword [of Babylon] is given to be polished that it may be put to use; the sword is sharpened and polished to be given into the hand of the slayer. We have been fighting the enemy in our marriage, children, finances--the fear of losing what God has given us. Pick up your sword and sharpen it daily. You must know how to speak the word sharply and boldly to the enemy. We are not afraid. Here we are carrying our sword daily and the blade is dull. The word said where two or three gather in His name He will be in the midst. Get together with your sisters and brothers, its time to sharpen your swords!! Proverbs 27:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. Thank you Fiveamprayer for your words of encouragement. As we sharpen our swords together. Isaiah 41:15 Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff. Speak the word over every situation!! We have an assurance in the word of God!! Exodus 32:27 And he said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour. This is a fight--it's time to slay the enemy and every thought he places in our mind. Slay doubt, fear, unbelief, depression, lack, uncertainty, poverty, diseases, etc. Slay them all!!! Leviticus 26:6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land. Tie a knot in the rope and hold on, fiveamprayer!! Not one word will fail. We serve a God who has given us an assurance by His word. Now rise up fiveamprayer, it's time to sharpen our swords and fight!!! Leviticus 26:7 And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. If God be for us then who can be against us, fiveamprayer?! We are here to take over!! Deuteronomy 20:13 And when the LORD thy God hath delivered it into thine hands, thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword. Deuteronomy 33:29 Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places. Sharpen your sword, it's time for our next level! Praise His holy name! Thank You Lord!
Thank You Lord for coming with a word this morning! We have to study His word to keep our swords sharp. We must speak the word boldly from Genesis to Revelation. Start swinging the sword. He keeps us in perfect peace with our minds stayed on Him. Don't get in depression!! We have to slay everything that comes against His word, with His word. Sharpen you sword, fiveamprayer!! Sharpen your sword to restore your marriage. Sharpen your sword to get your children back. When was the last time that you picked up your sword?! It is our healing, way out of no way, makes the invisible, visible. There are so many Christians walking around in unbelief. We have to know that He shall supply all of our needs. His word says all. That is why we have to read, dig, dive into the word. Every answer, every need, every question--all we need is in His word. Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Fiveamprayer, we must trust and believe what His word says. We have the weapons of mass destruction!! Take the sword in your hand, on your knees, in battlefield position--now we are ready for battle! Sharpen your sword for your new level. Seek Him like never before. Walk in this word with holy boldness. Thank You for letting us know that we have to speak Your word in all seasons and all situations. Ask Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, it may get hot in the fire look around there is the fourth man in the fire with you. Ask the children of Israel, they were kept by God for the 40 years they were in the wilderness. It is time to sharpen your sword, fiveamprayer!! Ask Job who said--Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. You will only find out when you sharpen your sword. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. We have to continue on our pursuit of the word to find out that this word that was made flesh was crucified and rose three days later with all power of heaven and earth in His hands. Fiveamprayer, we need to know more and more of His word. They say that you are what you eat--what are you eating? Is it the word of God? Is your belly full of scriptures? Not only that--the more word you have in, you the stronger you will be--being able to stand. Ephesians 6:13-15 13) Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14) Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness. We have to be in preparation for battle. We must be battle ready at all times!! There is not always advance notice of an attack!! Not only must we make sure our sword is sharp and at the ready we must fight and when we are done stand ready for battle again. We can not set down our weapons of mass destruction at any time! It must be by our sides at all times! Deuteronomy 30:14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. Those who are trained in battle know how important it is to have your sword at the ready and sharp, we must keep honing our sword on the Rock--Jesus to be sharp and at the ready. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Look at this: speaking the word, He creates the fruit of our lips; putting on the whole armor of the Lord, an outer covering or protection; the greater one on the inside of us, guiding our spirit man; studying the word has us meditating on the word, where we are kept on in perfect peace. How can the enemy breach these kinds of defenses! Look how the Lord has this all available for us to walk this faith walk in!! Trusting and believing and sharing this good news with others by our lives, confessions and testimonies. Only God can set things up in such a perfect way!! Thank You Lord, bless Your name! We must put our sword on the whetting stone. Deuteronomy 32:41 If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me. Psalm 7:12 If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready. Ecclesiastes 10:10 If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct. Thank You Lord for Your wisdom. That is why some of us are struggling in our battles--we are having to use more force, more strength. When your sword has a sharp edge it takes less force to cut through. We will not have to work so hard in the battle, also we will be able to stand at the ready once we are done fighting. There is no time for us to run off of the battlefield to go and make ready. We must make ready, be in preparation at all times!! This is not the time to take a break or to slack off of our duties. We are responsible for our own preparation. Which in some cases not only benefit us, it will help those who are watching your life. We must stand at the ready, holding on to our sharpened sword, cut off, cutting down and cutting away all the lies of the enemy. We must put asunder those things that are not of God, in our lives, how we speak and where we go. We have so many areas to defend, sharpen your swords, be at the ready. You may be called into battle in the middle of the night, we have to seek to sharpen our swords always, we want the edge to stay as sharp as possible. Looking to the Lord in all things--sharp vision, sharp focus and sharp sword, is why we study the word daily. 1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Be found walking around with your sword sharp!! Get in your bible daily, it is a weapon of mass destruction!! Don't just pick up the word on Sundays, you must always be on guard. The things that have the most value, that are deemed precious are protected--have defenses set up to guard and preserve. We are blood bought and considered precious to the Lord. Of course He has defenses and guards set up to keep us safe and whole!! Psalm 17:7-9 7) Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them. 8) Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings, 9) From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about. The sword of the Lord is one of those defenses!! Jeremiah 47:5-7 5) Baldness is come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is cut off with the remnant of their valley: how long wilt thou cut thyself? 6) O thou sword of the LORD, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? put up thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and be still. 7) How can it be quiet, seeing the LORD hath given it a charge against Ashkelon, and against the sea shore? there hath he appointed it. We come to lift up fiveamprayer, Lord have them to sharpen their sword daily. Then we will be able to stand in peace and joy. In sharpening our word we increase in knowledge, understanding and wisdom. The Lord is taking fiveamprayer to another level--sharpen your sword, make ready!!! We come asking for forgiveness, some times we have gotten lazy and did not seek Your word. Make a commitment today to seek Him in His word daily, fiveamprayer. Thank You Lord for forgiving us, casting our sins into the sea, where they are remembered no more. Teach us how to forgive like You Lord, that way we are forgiven as well. Pick up your sword and sharpen it today!We write in the precious blood: 1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

We must remain standing on His word and His promises. Sharpen your sword for battle. While we sharpen out swords, You give us more and more of You. We can count it all joy. The Lord is the way out of no way. What a mighty God we serve! He shows us in the word how many battles the children of Israel fought and utterly destroyed their enemies. We must be suited up for battle, covered in the blood, armor in place and the sword sharpened to a sharp edge! Fiveamprayer, make ready, be ready, remain ready for battle!!
