We are walking in today: The Tempting Has Began.
Luke 8:13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. As we stand on the Rock of ages, surely He will provide a way to escape the temptation!! The word said they believe, and in time of temptation fall away. As we walk in abundance, don't think we will not be tempted. Some of us are tempted to give up and walk back into the world. Luke 4:2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. As believers we need to really walk in, Mark 14:38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. A lot of us are tempted right now to take a drink, to put us in a different state of mind for a little while. Let's be real right now. There are some of us that are married who are being tempted by what they see. Yes it's going to be like this, early in the morning. Tempted to borrow money you can't pay back, when God has already told you, He is the PROVIDER!!!! We have to really trust and stand on His word. Isaiah 40:13-15 13) Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him? 14) With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding? 15) Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing. We are who He says we are! Deuteronomy 28:13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them. Psalm 17:8 Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings. Even the devil and demons know of His power, why are we still in doubt?! Mark 1:23-24 23) And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, 24) Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. We have what He says we will have! 2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. This is the time to see what you are truly made of in this walk!! Luke 4:3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. Jesus responded, Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. If the devil tempted Jesus--you are not exempt. You must speak to the devil with the word of God. Luke 4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. We serve the one and only God. Surely He will bring us out of every temptation! The tempting has began fiveamprayer, gird yourself up with the word. 1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. Amen and glory to His name!
Fiveamprayer, we have to believe to see, that surely He will do it! We are standing on His word on the Rock, then here comes the doubt--will He really do it; can it really happen; do I really deserve it; should I try things the world's way? We are standing on the Rock and suited up for battle, our response is Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. As Pastor Taffe told us on Sunday, this verse let's us know that the weapons have permission to form, but surely they shall not prosper!! We have to stop freaking out that the weapons are there. He has given us the weapons of mass destruction!! Why are we fearful?! If God be for us who can stand against us? Now that God has let us know that the tempting has begun, let's send up Judah--let your praise go before you. Praise Him in advance of coming out on the other side in victory! Let us do a victory dance in the middle of the battle! Pastor Thomas, taught on Sunday, that praise is a camouflage and that we can see the enemy but the enemy can't see us! We are kept by God and He has made us more than overcomers and more than conquerors! Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Surely, what other response could we have, then to praise Him for His righteousness?! We are to walk, talk and meditate on this word. We meet together every morning at 5am to eat this bread from heaven--we must be prepared. Tests, trials and tribulations will come, are you ready? Are you standing on His word? The tempting has begun. Doubts and worry over finances--Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. 1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Fiveamprayer, we need a word to stand on right now--God has given us a word and here comes the enemy to see if we will stand on the word. The word is a surety--Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. This is a fight, a battle. Our Savior was tempted--you are not exempt. For every suggestion of the devil, the response of Jesus was the word. We can follow His example, reply with the word. Psalm 149:6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand. So are there praises in your mouth? Are you holding the word in your hand? This is one of our battlefield positions. We have to be familiar with the word, it is a definite asset in battle--Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. He will not put more on us than we can bear. Now is not the time to give up or faint, fiveamprayer!! We have seed in the ground and we are to get our thousand-fold return. God is watering our seed, sending us the latter rain. Believe to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Praise Him right now!! Praise is necessary!! Surely He will!! Let the enemy know we are covered in the blood and the word--no weapons formed against us shall prosper. That is like double coverage. The blood of the Word made flesh and the Word of God protecting and keeping us. Why are fearful?! We must be suited up in the word, the whole armor of God and the sword of the word in our mouths and hearts. It is time to bring it, fiveamprayer!! As Pastor Anitha Jones would say, we are not going down like that! He has been pouring out on us His strength through His word daily. The Lord has sustained us and provided for us for this moment. Will you hold to the teaching and trust in Him? Don't get nervous and try the old ways that have never worked!! The old familiar ways will not yield any thing profitable--Jeremiah 7:8 Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit. Hold on fiveamprayer, God wants to see if you will fold and go into depression, run away and hide or stand on, no weapons formed shall prosper. We are walking in to the enemies camp with praise for the victory that we have already won, saying, "now what devil?" Surely we are victorious, His word does not come back void. Overcomer, conqueror, causes us to triumph--sounds like winning to me!! God tells us in, 1 Peter 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you. We have been given advance notice of fiery trials coming against us. That is why we must be prepared, gird with the word and in constant meditation and praise. Our weapons must be sharp and at the ready at all times. No matter how we feel or what is going on. We have not walked this long with Him to give up now!! Surely we shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Jesus went into the wilderness to be tempted. When you come out of the wilderness, you will be stronger, from passing the test. We are putting our trust in the King of kings the Lord of lords, suited up in the whole armor of God. Standing on His word. We have to know who we serve!! The devil comes with constant attacks in your mind, your response must always be God's word! We serve the God of more than enough. It is He that is making a way for us. Fiveamprayer, keep telling the devil, "my God shall provide!" We are walking by faith, not by sight. We are to fear no evil, for the Lord is with us. We are seeking to dwell in the house of the Lord forever! We know that many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them out of them all. When we are in the fire, He is right there with us! We will never bow to worship anyone but God. We seal this in the blood of Jesus. The tempting has begun. Fiveamprayer are more than conquerors and more than overcomers. Thank You for Your word this morning. Letting us know what is going on--many of us were saying if one more thing happens...This is all from us standing on the word, trusting God. The devil is coming against us because we are walking out the word. The more we speak and believe His word, the more the enemy comes. Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Thank You, Lord for this word that we can stand on. We lift up fiveamprayer, let them know that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. You have already made a way of escape for us! We lift up prayer requests, those known and unknown. We lift up Marissa Grant for healing, by Your stripes she was healed. We are standing in unison on this word. We know that Your word will stand and will accomplish all that You send it to do. Thank You Lord for healing and wholeness in her body. Thank You for her testimony that she can see beyond the midst to her healing. Hallelujah! Praise Him!! We ask for forgiveness, we don't always reply with your word when the devil springs up in our minds. We must be on constant guard and keep Your word always before us. It is life and hope! Lord we ask for clear knowledge and understanding of Your word. Thank You for sending us an Intercessor who goes on our behalf. Who was also tempted as we are. He was tempted for 40 days and 40 nights. So for those of us who thought it was going on too long--we have a comparison. Our response must be nevertheless, Thy will be done! We lay down our will and totally submit to Your will, Your way. Gird yourself up this morning, get ready for this thrown down. We already know that He causes us to triumph, we just have to stand on His word and fight with the weapons of mass destruction to see our promised victory!
We write in the precious blood: 1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Even Jabez knew, that the devil would be coming against him. He asked, if Thou would keep me from evil. No doubt the devil came to remind him of his name, sorrow and all that his name meant. Trying to cast doubt, to hinder movement, cause confusion--to try to reverse his honor, try things the world's way. Unbelief--will my prayer be answered? Jabez stood on the word in belief and God granted him that which he requested. Fiveamprayer, you have made requests also, are you standing on His word in belief? No matter how it appears to you natural eyes. Are you wearing your heavenly prescription glasses? We have to look at this whole thing spiritually. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. We are to be still standing on the solid Rock. On Christ the solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand. Don't get caught in the sinking sand!! That is what the devil is trying to get you to do, get off of the Rock of surety to the sinking sand of doubt which leads to worry, which leads to fear. Before you know it you are waist deep in that sinking sand. Stay. On. The. Rock!! Surely we can believe to see His goodness, in the land of the living! Hold on, the tempting has begun. The Lord will create a way of escape for us, seek Him in His word. Let the word speak to you. You have to look to see. Just like when you are looking for some thing, you tell someone, look over there, do you see it? We must take the time to look into His word to see His answer for our situation! Look into the word and see His love, protection and provision for us! Thank You Lord! Great is Your faithfulness! Stand on the word and seek His face.
