We are walking in today:  The Perfect Christian?

Psalm 29 1 Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength. 2 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. 3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters. 4 The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. 5 The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars; yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon. 6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn. 7 The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire. 8 The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. 9 The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory. 10 The Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth King for ever. 11 The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
Matthew 5:43-48 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Romans 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:Philippians 3:12-14 12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.1 Corinthians 8:1-3 1 Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. 2 And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. 3 But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

Thank You Lord God in heaven for sending Your man, Deacon Troy to teach us this morning.  Thank You for this on time word, that so many of us are in need of hearing today!  We must we aware that there are church leaders that are placing themselves on pedestals!  The teaching from today is from the book by Tim Sledge Make Peace With Your Past.  We have to know and understand that we are on a journey of personal growth.  We are to edify ourselves with the word of the Lord our God.  This is a self-examination:  we are to strive to be and walk like Jesus Christ did on the Earth.  We find that God's power is most evident when we acknowledge our weaknesses.  We are in the process of becoming, in this Christian life. 2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.We know that His love is complete--we are to let our love be perfect with no gaps or holes in it.  Let us love people, how God would have us to love people.  Some people stumble and fall and don't get back up because we don't go to help them get back up!  Our highest possible goals for spiritual development is not for perfectionism!  The scripture in Proverbs 22:6 refers to the children of God--period!  Fiveamprayer we have to have our heart right!
5 Messages that could lead to perfectionism, many we have received as children from parents and other influential adults:
--almost as well as, this shows a comparison of your skill or work to someone else.
--anything worth doing, is worth doing well.  This can lead to everything having to be done at an optimum level.
--hard word cover up, this message takes the focus off of God's grace and gifting in your life and often shows up as work addiction.
--idle hands are the devil's workshop, the is a keep busy and stay busy message.  The idea that being busy keeps you out of trouble.  1 Thessalonians 5:13  And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.  2 Thessalonians 3:6  Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.  Not taking rest is not biblical, even the Lord our God rested on the seventh day after the creation of the world.  We are beaconed to rest in our Savior, Jesus Christ the Messiah in Matthew 11:28,Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  We must be careful not to work ourselves down into the ground!
--unlimited potential, this one can be tricky since it is initially positive but does have a hook on the end. With no limit on your potential once you reach one rung on the ladder you look up to see more before you. With no place for rest or a sense of fulfillment, you just keep reaching for the next rung with no rest in sight.
We must examine ourselves to see where these messages have left traits in our lives. This also helps us see why we are experiencing these things with and of our church leaders who have these messages playing in their own heads as well. We all must take time out to line up with the word of God. The pastors of the church should be accessible to the members of the church. We can no longer walk in the belief that we can walk without spot due to the time that we spend in church, that we can shun someone else for what they have done. The word of the Lord calls for us to love our enemy, so surely we are to love our brothers and sisters in Christ as well!  To hear this again click here.

We must be careful not to be our own little judges.  Thank You for sending us a warning that we would examine ourselves before looking at others.  Thank You for using Deacon Troy to teach, Pastor Vermont to open up and Brother Eugene to close out in prayer.  We pray that you would pour back into them.  Thank You for continuing to lead and guide us to all truth!  Thank You Holy Spirit, and we continue to check ourselves.  Let us not look around, we need to be looking at ourselves.  He is completing and perfecting us.  We pray that you would fill Deacon Troy back up for what he has poured out on this line.

We seal this prayer in the precious blood of Jesus of Nazareth, the only Begotten of the Heavenly Father and by the Holy Spirit:  Thank You for correction, Lord God in heaven!

Welcome to the overflow...
What a mighty God we serve.  He keeps coming by to say to get it right with Him and do it now!  We must stay in position of humility.  Iron can sharpen iron.  Thank You Lord for giving us a ear to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is says.  We must be slow to speak and quick to hear.  We must be listening at all times.  There is no perfect person, the only one who walked this Earth in perfection is Jesus Christ, the only begotten of the Father.  Take a Selah moment and think on this word.  Thank You Lord for how you used Deacon Troy this morning.  Some of us need to repent for where we were in error.  Thank You for coming by to give us daily bread.  Cover every request that has gone up.  We ask for forgiveness, for wanting to get it right some times we get into judgement.  Forgive us Lord!  Thank You for forgiving us with no condemnation.  Thank You for sending us a rhema word on this line.  We thank You and praise You!  In the name of Jesus of Nazareth we pray.  The Lord came by with a word of correction.  We have to get it right and walk through this together.  We need each other--two can put 10,000 to flight!  We must stay in a humble position.  Hallelujah and glory to His name!  This word this morning is a wake up moment for the things that have been going on in the body of Christ.  Thank You Lord for coming to address these things that we can get it right with You.  Walk in the word of Yahweh and check yourself, it is self examination time!  Have a blessed day!
