We are walking in today: The Appointed Times For Prayer.
Matthew 21:13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
Isaiah 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
Teach--means
to train and instruct. Fiveamprayer, we have to go back to the first
oracles of God, to improve our communication and relationship with Adonai.
Yahweh has appointed times for prayer. This is similar to a judge who
has set appointed times to hear cases in court. The times of the morning
and evening sacrifices were appointed at creation and mentioned in
Exodus 29:38-41. We can go on to study and find Daniel who prayed three
times a day Daniel 6:8-10 8 Now, O king, establish the
decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the
law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not. 9 Wherefore king
Darius signed the writing and the decree. 10 Now when Daniel knew that
the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being
open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three
times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did
aforetime. Custom defined is a practice followed by people of a particular group or region; a habitual practice of a person; Law,
a common tradition or usage so long established that it has the force
or validity of law. A synonym for custom, is habit--a recurrent, often
unconscious pattern of behavior that is acquired through frequent
repetition; an established disposition of the mind or character;
customary manner or practice. Which in Daniel 6:10 is the word
aforetime. This was his practice, his habit that which he did before
the decree and he continued in this manner after. Fiveamprayer we are
to pray at 9am, 12 noon and 3pm--for knowledge, understanding and
wisdom. Psalm 55:17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. Abraham
began the morning prayer 9am, Isaac the noon day prayer, then Jacob the
evening prayer. Our bodies have replaced the animal sacrifies and
drink offereings--we are spiritual sacrifies! We are to say the
Shema, Deuteronomy 6:4--this is said since there is not a need for
animal sacrifices for morning and the evening. Deuteronomy 6:4-6
4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: 5 And thou shalt love
the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with
all thy might. 6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall
be in thine heart. Romans 12:1-2 1 I beseech you
therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a
living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable
service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by
the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and
acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Philippians 2:17-18
17 Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your
faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all. 18 For the same cause also do ye
joy, and rejoice with me. We have to understand that the Bible was written by Jews, for Jews, to Jews. This Book teaches us the way of a people--Exodus 19:5-6
5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant,
then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all
the earth is mine: 6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and
an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the
children of Israel. In reading the Bible the authors expected that
you would have read and understood from Genesis to Malachi before
getting into the book of Matthew. We have in the book of Acts chapter
10 references to the hours of prayer. The third hour of prayer which
would be 9am, the sixth hour 12 noon and then the ninth hour at 3 pm.
We are to pray always, we are to pray without ceasing! Fiveamprayer,
understand that it is not required that we pray at these times, but if
this is the time that He has appointed, why not? This is not to say
that there is no other time to pray but these have been set aside for us
to come before Him with petitions! Being a prayer line we are all
about prayer at all times!!! The Lord God comes to give us
understanding of the appointed times for prayer. We can call any time
but there are appointed times already set up for us to meet with Him!
We have in Matthew when Jesus, the Son of Man telling them it is written
My house should be called a house of prayer! Where is it written? Isaiah 56:7
Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my
house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be
accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of
prayer for all people. Matthew 21:13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. Call into 760-569-7699 pin 910150# hear this instruction
from today. Grab a pen and paper to write down the scriptures and look
them up. We have to get a better understanding of prayer then we can
apply it to our lives. This is all being provided by Elohim for us to
receive the maximum benefit of what He has already prepared for us!
Praise Him! Hallelujah! Bless His righteous and holy name! Amen,
amen!
