Counting the Omer Leviticus 23:15-16 15
‘And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath,
from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven
Sabbaths shall be completed. 16 Count fifty days to the day after the
seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.

Day 19 Psalm 119:145-152 (NKJV)
ק Qoph
145 I cry out with my whole heart;
Hear me, O Lord!
I will keep Your statutes.
146 I cry out to You;
Save me, and I will keep Your testimonies.
147 I rise before the dawning of the morning,
And cry for help;
I hope in Your word.
148 My eyes are awake through the night watches,
That I may meditate on Your word.
149 Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness;
O Lord, revive me according to Your justice.
150 They draw near who follow after wickedness;
They are far from Your law.
151 You are near, O Lord,
And all Your commandments are truth.
152 Concerning Your testimonies,
I have known of old that You have founded them forever.
Witness truth throughout the Bible: Genesis 24:37, 32:10, 42:16; Exodus 18:21, 34:6; Deuteronomy 32:4; Psalm 15:2, 25:5, 25:10, 26:3, 31:5, 33:4, 40:10, 40:11, 43:3, 51:6, 54:5, 57:3, 57:10, 61:7, 69:13, 85:10-11, 56:11, 89:14, 91:4,96:13, 100:5, 117:2, 138:2, 145:18; Isaiah 10:20, 16:5, 25:1, 26:2; Jeremiah 4:2; Daniel 9:13; Hosea 4:1; Micah 7:20; Zechariah 8:3,8:8, 8:16; Matthew 14:33; Mark 5:33; Luke 9:27; John 1:17, 4:23, 8:32, 14:6, 14:17, 15:26; 1 Peter 1:22; 1 John 1:6, 2:4, 2:27; 3 John 1:4
Here we are looking at the man Abram while he was still in the land of Haran. He was to go forth to a land that Yahweh would show him, taking His wife Sarai and nephew Lot and all there possessions and the people with them. Because of his faith, and the Hebrew translation of faith is obedience. He moved in faith by the Lord's instruction. Obey means to hear and listen--Shema! Made to hear is the basis of obedience. He was to leave the settled world and go forth into a better world that Adonai had for him. As time goes on his name is changed from Abram, meaning high father to Abraham, father of multitude. Abram was also given a promise from Elohim which can be broken down in to seven parts:
-he would be a great nation
-he will be blessed
-his name will be great
-he would be a blessing
-that Yahweh will bless those who bless him
-that Yahweh will curse those who curse him
-all people will be blessed through him
So Abram set out at 75 years old to go in obedience of what Yahweh had given him to do. During this time of counting the omer, what is it that Elohim has given you to do? Fiveamprayer, get yourself out and go forth! Adonai is looking for trust grounded obedience--for we know that His word is the only thing that will stand forever!!!
