Counting the Omer Leviticus 23:15-16 (NKJV) 15 ‘And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. 16 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.
Day 25 Psalm 119:17-24

ג Gimel

17 Deal bountifully with Your servant,
That I may live and keep Your word.
18 Open my eyes, that I may see
Wondrous things from Your law.
19 I am a stranger in the earth;
Do not hide Your commandments from me.
20 My soul breaks with longing
For Your judgments at all times.
21 You rebuke the proud—the cursed,
Who stray from Your commandments.
22 Remove from me reproach and contempt,
For I have kept Your testimonies.
23 Princes also sit and speak against me,
But Your servant meditates on Your statutes.
24 Your testimonies also are my delight
And my counselors.

Witness firstfruits throughout the Bible:  Exodus 34:22; Leviticus 23:10; Numbers 18:12, 28:26; Deuteronomy 26:10; Nehemiah 10:35; Jeremiah 2:3; Ezekiel 20:40, 48:14; Proverbs 3:9; James 1:17-18; Revelation 14:4

Fiveamprayer we have to take a serious look at how we study or have studied scripture.  There is a method of how we are to study that we would receive the original intent of the Author.   This correct study and understanding is the charge of every believer.  That is why He gave it unto us for our direction, boundaries and instruction.  The order is very important--1 Corinthians 14:33 (KJV) For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 1 Corinthians 14:40 (KJV)  Let all things be done decently and in order.  How often is it taught in the church for new believers to begin reading the Bible more than half way through in the book of John?  How can we obtain a full understanding with the first 3/4th of the book cast in a shadow?  Now many people will read parts of the beginning, the Tanak, the Torah, the prophets and the writings.  It is the whole Bible in it's entirety, how it was given to us, that we are to read and study.  How are we able to best determine what to study on our own?  This is the infallible word of Yahweh!! Are we as His creation, able to better discern what He intended without a full grasp of His word, by isolating and reading only the things that appeal to us?!

At the onset of this walk into the Torah, I was told, why would you go back under that harsh law?  I did not see it that way, but my focus was on this is the holy word of God so I'll do it.  Then over the months I find that I am not walking alone but with Yeshua on the inside, lead by the Holy Spirit!  He, Jesus Christ is my Messiah, the Son of Almighty God, who already walked it out perfectly.  Then shouldn't I walk and live as He lived?  Isn't He the example, the blueprint, that which we are to pattern our lives after?  The Word made flesh who walked among men?  Which Word?  Well when we go back to the beginning...

Genesis 1:1 (KJV) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. John 1:1-3 (KJV) 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. When being lead of the Holy Spirit there is a comfort and restorative rest that you receive in walking in the Torah.  Who better to instruct us than our Creator.  This was awesome teaching listen to this one again and again!
