Counting of the Omer Day 30 Psalm 119:57-64
Leviticus 23:15-16 (NKJV) 15 ‘And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. 16 Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.
ח Heth
57 You are my portion, O Lord;I have said that I would keep Your words.
58 I entreated Your favor with my whole heart;
Be merciful to me according to Your word.
59 I thought about my ways,
And turned my feet to Your testimonies.
60 I made haste, and did not delay
To keep Your commandments.
61 The cords of the wicked have bound me,
But I have not forgotten Your law.
62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You,
Because of Your righteous judgments.
63 I am a companion of all who fear You,
And of those who keep Your precepts.
64 The earth, O Lord, is full of Your mercy;
Teach me Your statutes.

Fiveamprayer
we have to take a look at ourselves, during this time of Counting of
the Omer. Are we being mindful of our thoughts and actions? We have
been reading sections from Psalms 119 to reflect on and meditate during
this time. We are in preparation for what Yahweh will bring us to at
the end of this count. During this time we are looking over what needs
to be corrected or built up in our lives. This time before Him and
study of His word we find where we have missed the goal or target and
make the correction! We have to teach and structure ourselves to be
present in the present. Not allowing our thoughts to wander and have
their own way. Be focused and be mindful of your thoughts and actions,
are these according to the Torah, His teaching and instruction?For example when we eat, if we are watching tv, reading or talking takes us away from our being mindful of the sensation of eating, the process of chewing and swallowing--all that is involved in eating is being mindful. Not distracted by anything else that focus and re-directing of your mind is what being mindful is. Keeping your mind stayed on your focus. What should be our focus? Where should our attention be centered? Being mindful and pay attention on purpose is taking every thought captive--2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. As we have been directed that we must give our minds something to think on first thing in the morning. We can no longer let every thought have free reign. What we find is that we have to not only to take every thought captive but to give our mind something to think on. Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Fiveamprayer, let us be aware on purpose on the here and now. Many of us are looking over our shoulder to the past or peering down the road to the future. Let us not get ahead nor stay behind. We serve the Great I AM, He is all that He needs to be. What an awesome example of being in the here and now! Be mindful and give your mind something to focus on, His good word, what Yahweh has given us to lead and direct our lives! That we are able to be content which is defined as satisfied and not displeased. How many of us can describe themselves in this state? This is found in being present, in the present. No longer let your mind wander hither and yon but be focused on what His word, His instruction that we would have successful lives. To hear this awesome word again click here.
