We learn in this chapter that now that the priests had been consecrated
unto service unto the Lord, they immediately went to their duties. They
receive a short amount of rest that they do not loose their focus on
their task. Those who are to serve the H
im for the people, Yahweh will manifest Himself to them. Some of the
Jewish writers have written that Aaron brings a calf for his sin
offering to remind him of the golden calf that he made in the
wilderness, that he is not worthy for the office of the priesthood
without out Adonai's intercession and acceptance of his sacrifice. They
were to make atonement for themselves first and then for the children
of Israel. Only Yeshua coming to make atonement for us, our High Priest
who knew no sin for those who trust and rely in Him.
