65 TETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word.
66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.
68 Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.
69 The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart.
70 Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law.
71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
72 The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

History & Reconstruction
The original pictograph for this letter is, a container made of wicker or clay. Containers were a very important item among the nomadic Hebrews. They were used for storing grains, tools, foods, housewares and other items. Wicker baskets were used as nets for catching fish. The meanings of this letter are basket, contain, store and clay.
The twenty-second letter of the Hebrew alphabet is a tav, with a "t" sound. It is unlikely that the original Hebrew had two letters with the same sound. When the Greeks adopted the Hebrew alphabet this letter became the Greek theta. It is likely that the original sound for this letter was a "th," as adopted by the Greeks.
The Modern Hebrew name for this letter is tet, but probably originally pronounced thet, which means "mud" or "clay," materials used to make baskets.
The Early Semitic letter remained unchanged into the Middle Semitic script, but became in the Late Semitic script. The Late Semitic letter became the Θ (Theta) in the Greek alphabet, the Modern Hebrew ט and our number 6!!!!

No Man Knows the Day or Hour??
Matthew 24 starts off with Yeshua and His Talmidim dialoging about the destruction of the temple which was Yeshua’s opportunity to speak literally of the destruction and captivity of Israel from the pending Greco- Roman conquer. As well as an idiomatic ways to speak of His sacrifice as the Lamb that was slain from before the foundations of the earth. Meaning the Moshiach (Jesus the Christ) was doing His thing as the Master teacher that He is. But the question came up, when would these things happen?? When will the end time come and temple be destroyed? Yeshua's opportunity to teach and speak in the awesome way He does spoke again in an idiom. Stating “That no man knows the day or the hour and when you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, whoever reads, let him understand.”
Daniel 9:27 He will make a strong covenant with leaders for one week [of years]. For half of the week he will put a stop to the sacrifice and the grain offering. On the wing of detestable things the desolator will come and continue until the already decreed destruction is poured out on the desolator.”
Matthew 24:15 “So when you see the abomination that causes devastation spoken about through the prophet Daniel standing in the Holy Place” (let the reader understand the allusion),
It is now clear that "no man knows the day or hour" does NOT mean "no man knows the day or hour" as we read it from a modern-day English perspective. Christians over the centuries have separated themselves from their Hebraic roots causing the misunderstanding of key Jewish biblical idioms. An idiom is also a figure of speech. When Y'shua (Jesus) uttered His famous words concerning the Messianic Era in Mattityahu (Matthew) 24:26, "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in Heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father", He used a common Hebrew figure of speech referring to a specific Hebraic Festival. In essence He was saying, "I am coming for My Bride on such and such a day! Be watching!" Which is the main reason His commandments tell us in Leviticus 23 to keep His feast days and not the holidays of the world. Everything He Does is for a reason and if we do not understand His instructions how can you get anything the Most High says in idioms? What day could the Hebraic idiom be referring to?
Y'shua was quoted in Mattityahu (Matthew) 8:11 as saying: "I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven".

Since we are talking about Jewish idioms, have you ever considered the meaning of these words? Specifically, our Lord used and confirmed common Hebraic ideas about the Day of the Lord - the millennium - and its relation to the Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles) in Z'kharyah 14. In speaking, Yeshua referred to the Festival and its traditional guests of honor, Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya'acov, called the ushpizin (uoosh-piz-zin) or seven shepherds (exalted guests), invited into every succah (tabernacle) at the Feast of Sukkot in the fall of the year. The seven shepherds in descending order are:
1. Avraham (Abraham)
2. Yitzchak (Isaac)
3. Ya'acov (Jacob)
4. Mosheh (Moses)
5. Aaron
6. Yosef (Joseph)
7. HaMelech David (King David)
By mentioning the feast and three of the seven shepherds, His audience immediately understood the allusion to the Messianic age - "Millennium" or "Day" of the Lord.
Matthew 8:11 Moreover, I tell you that many will come from the east and from the west to take their places at the feast in the Kingdom of Heaven with Avraham, Yitz’chak and Ya‘akov.
Zachariah 14:16-19 16 Finally, everyone remaining from all the nations that came to attack Yerushalayim will go up every year to worship the king, Adonai-Tzva’ot, and to keep the festival of Sukkot. 17 If any of the families of the earth does not go up to Yerushalayim to worship the king, Adonai-Tzva’ot, no rain will fall on them. 18 If the family of Egypt doesn’t go up, if they refuse to come, they will have no [annual] overflow [from the Nile]; moreover, there will be the plague with which Adonai will strike the nations that don’t go up to keep the festival of Sukkot. 19 This will be Egypt’s punishment and the punishment of all the nations that don’t go up to keep the festival of Sukkot.
Leviticus 23:33-36 33 Adonai said to Moshe, 34 “Tell the people of Isra’el, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the feast of Sukkot for seven days to Adonai. 35 On the first day there is to be a holy convocation; do not do any kind of ordinary work. 36 For seven days you are to bring an offering made by fire to Adonai; on the eighth day you are to have a holy convocation and bring an offering made by fire to Adonai; it is a day of public assembly; do not do any kind of ordinary work.
This is amazing and awesome way to unlock many misinterpretations of the scriptures. For if we learn the idioms of the Master teacher nothing as His true Talmidim shall be hidden!! Just one more example for this teaching--the story of the Israelite Nathanael was coming forth and Yeshua called out “Here is a true Israelite, in whom there is nothing false". "How do you know me?" Nathanael asked Jesus answered, "I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you". The context that drove the response from Nathan is what always puzzled me as if Yeshua envisioned Him sitting under a fig tree and Nathan going off, like you saw me sitting under a fig tree Wow you must be the Messiah the True Son of El Elyon!!!! But once again Yeshua spoke idiomatic to Nathanael. Alluding to the words of the prophet Zachariah speaking of the coming Kingdom after the end of this earth as we know it. Check it out in the scriptures!!
Zachariah 3:10 When that time comes,’ says Adonai-Tzva’ot, ‘you will all invite each other to join you under your vines and fig trees.’”
Reading the whole chapter we see Adonai speaking of heaven on earth the future. As did Yeshuah speaking into the life of Nathan who also was apparently a reader of the Torah. How else would he have understood this idiom not literally coming from sitting under a fig tree but see His future in the resurrection siting with kinfolk eating figs.
El Elyon through HaMashiach Y'shua spoke to the Jews in many portions and in many ways (Hebrews 1:1-2) relying upon known figures of speech, common expectations and direct thoughts from Talmudic and Pharisaic teachings. The concepts addressed only scratch the surface. Every phrase and word from the mouth of the Lord meant something to His audience. He spoke with precision. With that as a basis, let us go on to one of the most interesting Hebraic figures of speech misunderstood by the Church over the years. It concerns Y'shua's phrase, "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in Heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father". In context, He refers to the home-taking of His bride, the beginning of the Messianic era and His millennial reign as King of kings over all the earth. To understand this concept, we begin by examining its foundation. Failing to think like Yeshua and taking phrases out of Hebraic context can lead one to misunderstand His words. For example, in many places of the B'rit Chadashah (New Testament) Yeshua knew the future and talked about it openly. In one instance He warned His talmidim (disciples) about their future saying, "See, I have told you ahead of time" (Mattityahu-Matthew 24:25). His context concerned the tribulation, the destruction of the Temple, the rise and fall of false messiahs (antichrists), etc. If He knew the future in Mattityahu 24:25, and the context concerns the Day of Trouble, why would He suddenly speak as though He did not know the future in the same context just 11 verses later in Mattityahu 24:36? Was He confused? Or was He making perfect sense in light of the customs of the Hebrews?
The study of Leviticus 23 and the commanded feast days for Israel will unlock every idiom Yeshua eluded to for understanding His return. Between the feast of trumpets Rosh Hashanah and Sukkot is explained the return Of the Bridegroom for His Bride. The Scattered Sheep of Israel.
Hebraic Numbers---
Seven, Shvah [f.], sheevah [m.] wholeness, completeness, being ripe, rest, order, stability, and holiness. We rest in the finished work (6) of the Messiah. There are 7 days of creation, 7 days for Temple dedication, 7 Spirits of God, 7 feasts of God, 7 churches in Revelation, 7 stars in Yeshua’s hand, 7 golden lampstands, 7 seals, 7 trumpets, 7 bowls, 7 thunders speak in Revelation, 7 eyes of the Lord, 7 horns & eyes on the Lamb, 7 abominations (wicked lamp spirits Pr. 6:16-19), the priest of Midian (Moses’ father-in-law) had 7 daughters, Joshua had the people along with 7 priests march around Jericho before the Ark for 7 days. On the 7th day, 7 priests blowing 7 shofarim along with the people circled the city 7 times. On the 7th circuit, the shofars sounded long and the people shouted and the walls fell. Sampson had 7 locks of hair in which were the source of his strength (Holy Spirit), Elijah sent his servant to look for the indication of rain 7 times, Elisha had Naaman wash in the Jordan 7 times to be cured of his leprosy. Elisha laid upon a dead boy; he sneezed 7 times and rose. King Joash began to reign at age 7; he began to rebuild the Temple of the Most High. King Hezekiah reinstated the observance of Passover (1st feast) and Unleavened Bread (7 days). The people were so excited they celebrated an additional 7 days. Pure, white light refracts into 7 colors (prism, rainbow).
According to the ancient near eastern culture and understanding of the cosmos (this includes ancient Israel), 7 was the normal operation and order of G-d’s House/Temple. Thus, all the 7’s in the Bible have to do with Temple building, inauguration, and dedication. For example, the 7 days of creation are the 7 days of Temple dedication, with Shabbat being the inauguration or rest. In this case, the Shabbat signifies the Creator’s rule of heaven and earth and His Temple/presence being the ultimate means of stability and order in the world. In other words, the completeness pictured in the number seven is qualified in ancient near eastern thought by the TEMPLE (building/dedication/inauguration). Without the Temple, there is chaos and a lack of order in the world. Knowing this should broaden our perspective on the spiritual implication of the number 7. Seventh Hebrew letter: Zayin Numerical value of seven. Pictographic meaning plowshare, weapon, sword, to arm, to adorn, to cut, to feed, completion. 1st verse of the Bible has 7 Hebrew words with 28 (4×7) letters. Blood was sprinkled on the mercy seat 7 times on Yom Kippur. (Lev. 16:14) Blood of the chatat (sin) offering was sprinkled before the veil 7 times (Lev. 9:17) It takes 7 days to atone for the altar to purify it. (Ex. 29:37, Ezek. 43:26) 7 of the Ten Commandments are negative and begin with the Hebrew loh, or no/not, as in thy shall not. 7 weeks (7 x 7) are counted to get to Shavuot (Pentecost). Likewise, 7 x 7 years are counted to reach a Yovel (Jubilee) year. Each of these 7 year bundles are a Shemittah year or a year of release.

He repaired the Temple, discovered the Torah, repented, and cleansed Judah further in the eighteenth year of his reign. (2 Kings 22:3 – 23:20)
Also in his eighteenth year, he restored the Most High’s Passover (1st feast -see one). With Unleavened Bread, Passover week is EIGHT days. (2 Kings 23: 21-25)
Eight days after His resurrection, Yeshua appeared again to the disciples and spoke to (doubting) Thomas. Thomas proclaimed Yeshua “My Lord and my God”. (John 20:26-29)
Transfiguration occurred on the 8th day (Luke 9:28); and Peter wanted to build 3 sukkot (tabernacles) for Yeshua, Moses, and Elijah. This is a direct reference to the season of the transfiguration: Sukkot – the 8-day feast of YHWH!
Torah (Law) is elevated to the spiritual realm in Ps. 119 by following an 8 verse alphabetical sequence. (See also Ps. 19:7) Paul says, “the Law is Spiritual” in Rom. 7:14 indicating that it is above the natural realm of carnal flesh.
Elijah performed 8 miracles; and Elisha doubled that with 16 (a multiple of 8).
Eight souls were saved from the flood in Noah’s day.
Chanukah (a late Sukkot festival) is eight days long. It’s major themes are overcoming darkness and heavenly miracles.
Shemini Atzeret, the last great 8th day of Sukkot asks us to linger (add to over flowing) one more day with the Most High.
King David, a prefigure of Messiah Yeshua, was the 8th son of Jesse (a multiple of 4 [number for scepter, government, authority, and rule]). (1 Sam. 17: 12-14)
Eight is past the completed work of seven and moves one into the realm of the supernatural or the world to come. It also depicts new beginnings as Hebraic thought sees time and the calendar as cyclical, rather than linear. It is a doubling of four or authority and government. Thus, eight is a re-creation of the House/Tabernacle/Temple of YHWH. Coupled with the letter “yod” (also the symbol for 10) makes the Hebrew word chai or LIFE.
