The Church Is Sleeping!

We are walking in today:  The Church Is Sleeping!

Proverbs 6:4-11 4) Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids. 5) Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler. 6) Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: 7) Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, 8) Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. 9) How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? 10) Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: )11) So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.  Sleep is counterproductive to hearing God's voice.  This is difficult to accept and believe, because we have been taught throughout our lives to get plenty of sleep.  Paul got little sleep.  The Lord will awaken you, early in the morning hours--and it will get earlier and earlier. This is His call to you.  To get up and wait for Him.  There are many scriptures that talk about sleep.  I just want to walk in a few of them this morning.  Proverbs 24:30-34 30) I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; 31) And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down. 32) Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction. 33) Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: 34) So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.  Proverbs 20:13 Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.  Jesus is the bread from heaven, the word of God, heard from within--this is a strong advisory to get as little sleep as possible.  Matthew 26:40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?  Mark 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.  Luke 12:37-38 37) Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. 38) And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.  Wake up and be watchful, fiveamprayer!  Revelation 3:2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.  1 Thessalonians 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.  1 Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.  Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.  Ephesians 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.  Revelation 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.  See cause the church has fallen asleep!  The church is sleeping!  Proverbs 8:34-35 34) Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. 35) For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord.  Psalms 63:6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.I don't know about you but there has been so many things going on and the church has been sleeping.  God sends us a warning that we must be on watch and constant in prayer. The enemy is like a roaming lion that is seeking who he may devour.  The enemy is coming after us through our children, marriages and our finances.  Wake up, God is calling us to wake up!  We must be in prayer every hour every hour--especially when you cannot rest at night.  You need to sit up and say, "God what are you trying to tell me?  What message do You wanna get through?"  Fiveamprayer we need to be watching!  Wake up this morning and seek His face and tell Him, "whatever You have for me to do, that's what I'll do God."  I'm waking up to seek Your face--Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  We are calling on You, Lord like never before!  We are seeking You and calling on You and You alone!    We know that God will not put more on us than we can bear!  Take a stand right now, that you won't stop seeking, pressing in and pursuing Him!  He tells us in His word that we have only to ask and believe that you will receive and it is yours!    Wake up, God is calling you to listen to Him.  With the house all quiet and not all of that hustle and bustle going on, now you can hear Him clearly, without distraction.  Wake up, the church is sleeping!  We need to fall on our faces before the Father and turn from our wicked ways.  Repent from not making time to seek Him.  He who kept you while you slept and slumbered.  He who woke you up in your right mind and with the activity of your limbs.  He who created this whole world out of nothing with His very thoughts and words.  Yea, that is who you are sleeping on!  Wake up!!  Don't be found sleeping and our of position!  Wake up the church!  The world is going to hell and the church is sleeping!  God has something to tell you--keep on seeking Him!  Seek Him like never before, that is why you are being woken up every night.  We are to be ready and suited up for battle.  The enemy wants to catch us sleeping and off guard.  Then he can just run amok, unchecked or unchallenged in your very own house!  The church is sleeping.  God can bring something to you in your marriage, with your children or your finances to get your attention--to wake you up!  Seek Him!  Turn it all over to Him!  He is the only wise God!  No one else can truly heal, restore, repair, renew, refresh, revive but Him!  Stop going everywhere else!  We are to pick up our crosses and to follow Him!  We are on watch for something, be up and aware--watching.  We come to surrender and submit to You Lord.  We have got to stop sleeping on God!  Wake up and hear a word from God!  Let those who have ears to hear, let them hear!  Listen to what the Spirit of the Lord says!  WAKE UP!!!!  There are so many situations in our lives that need attention--none are more importance than this!  Seek after God and His righteousness--every second, every hour we need to be seeking You, that we are on our post and keeping guard!  We lift up Theresa and her children we are on watch and praying for her!  Whatever she needs, God cover her and the children.  2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.  Forgive our sins, Lord so many of us have been sleeping.  We know that we have been slacking.  We need to listen and tell God that, "I will watch and pray."  This shake up in your finances, your marriage is to wake you up, fiveamprayer!  Thank You Lord, that You cared enough to correct us while we were wrong!  Have us to hold on, a praying wife can save her husband!  Wake up the church is sleeping. The devil is as a roaming lion, seeking who he may devour.  It is time to wake up!!!

We seal this prayer in His precious blood, by His Spirit:  I will seek Your face, Lord!   We will watch as well as pray.  No man knows the hour of His return!

We come seeking You, like never before!  We come to magnify and glorify Your name!  We come to seek You and reside in Your presence!  We lay our children at the alter, our marriages at the alter, our finances at the alter and ourselves at the alter.  We let go and let God.  We release all of that noise in our minds so that we can focus on what You are telling us.  That word that You are giving us, that we can be prepared and in position!  We wake up early seeking You!  Getting up early to give You thanks.  We give you our first fruits, laying aside everything that would so easily beset us.  We can cast our cares for You, Lord care for us!  Which is so much more than we can get from so many in the natural who will give the appearance of care or concern but when it will cost them something, the care seems to disappear.  Not so with our God!  He gave His only begotten Son to redeem us back to Him!  He gave us His most precious treasure!  Thank You God for making a way for us, while we did not even know that we were lost!  Amen!  Thank You God!  If it was not for Your mercy and Your grace, where would we be?!  Still sleeping, no doubt and out of position!  We lift up the church, remember, we are the church--and we are asleep no longer!  It is judgement time and the church is sleeping?!  Have us Lord to speak life changing words that will heal the broken hearted and to set the captive free!  Have us to walk in love and unity.  We know that in unity there is commanded blessings.  We have got to get love back in the church!  We are following and pursuing after God who is love--1 John 4:7-8 7) Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 )He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. So fiveamprayer, we stand on one accord in unity that His word is true and will all come to pass!  We sit down, lay out on our faces before the Father telling Him He has done more than enough!  Zephaniah 3:5 The just LORD is in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning doth he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no shame.  Thank You Lord for waking us up!  Thank You God for showing up in all of Your glory and power.  Thank You God for all that You have done for us!  We are so undeserving, we come to repent, laying out on our faces at the alter. We are crying out to You, Lord!  This is the time to hold on and press into God!  We learn that a house divided can not stand, we must watch and pray!  Lord, we ask that the scales fall off of our eyes, that we look at this thing spiritually.  The church is sleeping and judgement time has come to the house of faith.  We need to repent--wake up!  God is trying to tell you something!  Wake up and seek His face!  We are to turn from our wicked ways, repent and then He will hear from heaven and heal the land!  Get on post, get in position--wake up!  Wake up, fiveamprayer!  When He wakes you up at midnight or 3am, get up and seek Him.  Joshua 1:8  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.  We are to meditate on His word, day and night, there is no time to sleep!  What a mighty word from God on this Monday, morning!  He comes to let us know that the church is sleeping.  If He has to break us to get us to turn, then He will to wake us up!  With all kinds of hell breaking loose, and the church is not praying like they used to.  Wake up--remember, we are the church!  Thank You God!  He is a rewarder to those that diligently seek Him!  Thank You for Your word!  Thank You Jesus!  Visit us on facebook, it will encourage you!  Do a self check today, every time you turn around, seek His face.  Tell Him, "I am listening. "   Ask Him, "what would You like for me to do?"  Ask Him to speak to you.  God is trying to tell us something!  We are to seek Him even more now than ever!  He is sending us a word and it is coming through our church!  Wake up the children--there is a need for us to watch and pray.  Wake up!  God is trying to get our attention.  He will get it, one way or the other!  Obedience is better than sacrifice.  Wake up and walk in the word of God today!  Have a blessed day!
