Matthew 16:13-18
We are walking in today: We Can't Be Stopped!
Matthew 16:13-18 13)
When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his
disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14) And
they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and
others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15) He saith unto them, But
whom say ye that I am? 16) And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art
the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17) And Jesus answered and said
unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not
revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18) And I say
also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my
church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. That sounds like we are moving forward! Christ said that He would build His church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. What He was saying in today's language was, we, the church--and we are the church, ain't no stopping us now! How many of us this morning remember that Macfadden and Whitehead song, Ain't No Stopping Us Now? Because, fiveamprayer, we can not be stopped! Who knows what I am talking about? That is something to rejoice about this morning! For us to shout and give God glory. We used to fall short at everything we tried our hands at. We used to hit every red light on the road to nowhere. We used to get stopped before we even got started. But, ain't no stopping us now! Let's all stand and rejoice right now! Let us dance like David danced! Let us clap out hands and stomp our feet! Because we know that there is not stopping us now! To hear more of this powerful word from God click here.
