We are walking in today: Resist.
James 4:7-8
7) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will
flee from you. 8) Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.
Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double
minded. This is how you
become followers of God, resisting the devil and he shall flee from
you! The devil always comes to tempt you. The enemy came and tempted
Eve in the garden, Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? Look at the devil, posing a seemingly innocent question. Genesis 3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden. Genesis 3:4-5 4)
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5) For
God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be
opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
The word of God says, resist the devil and he will flee from you. We
can see here that we are not to entertain conversations with the enemy,
we are to tell him to get behind us, not to trade words with him. Jude 1:9
Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed
about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing
accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. Those that are in the right do not have to argue. Look to Jesus when He was tempted, His replies are the word of God. Matthew 4:1-11 1) Then
was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the
devil. 2) And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was
afterward an hungred. 3) And when the tempter came to him, he said, If
thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4) But
he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
5) Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a
pinnacle of the temple, 6) And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of
God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels
charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest
at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7) Jesus said unto him,
It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
8) Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and
sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9) And
saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall
down and worship me. 10) Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 11) Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him. Jesus
was not trying to get His own proof nor display the power Himself.
That is not His response. We have been adopted into the beloved and
washed in the blood. There is nothing that we have to prove to the
enemy. The only one we must seek approval from is God! Are you
walking, speaking and actions in line with His holy word? As followers
we are to use the word of God as our defence against the enemy. If you
notice even satan is using the word of God while he is tempting Jesus.
So since the enemy knows scripture, shouldn't you?! How can you have a
'it is written' response if you don't have any scriptures written in
your heart that are constant and at the ready? That comes from study of
His word--get in the word today and really meditate and get His word on
the inside of you, that it would be your first response and even your
only response! We can clearly see that Jesus, the word made flesh was
tempted, so why would you not be tempted?! We have got to know right
now that what God said on yesterday--that we are to pick up our cross
and to follow Him! We must deny ourselves, we are no longer our own.
We were purchased by the perfect blood of the Lamb that was slain that
we would be restored unto the Father! In this walk you have to resist
satan. Because when you resist him, he has to flee. So no matter how
many times the enemy comes back, over and over again the response
should still be the same--the word of God! We take our example for our
life from Christ and He replied, "it is written that man shall not live
by bread alone"--when the devil came to tempt Him. John 4:31-34 (AMP) 31) Meanwhile, the disciples urged Him saying, Rabbi, eat something. 32) But He assured them, I have food (nourishment) to eat of which you know nothing and have no idea. 33) So the disciples said one to another, Has someone brought Him something to eat? 34) Jesus said to them, My food (nourishment) is to do the will (pleasure) of Him Who sent Me and to accomplish and completely finish His work. When
he began to tempt Jesus further the response was get behind me satan!
We have got to know how to use the word of God! We have got to know how
to rebuke the devil! That we would tell him, "no weapon formed against
me shall prosper!" Because I am a follower of God! No matter what you
bring against me devil, no matter what attacks come, I will stand on
the word of God! I will resist the enemy, and God says if I will draw
nigh to Him that He will draw nigh to me! The enemy come so try to bind
us up in confusion and fear but we know, 2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. We know that, 1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Through Christ we can do all things! Therefore we shall resist the devil--1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but
God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are
able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye
may be able to bear it. We must have ourselves anchored in His word! Hebrews 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil. Always
abiding in His word, that is why we must be anchored--the enemy comes
to kill, steal and destroy. The enemy is like a roaming lion, seeking
who he may devour. We must resist the enemy for him to flee! Deny
yourself, crucify your flesh daily. As Paul said, I die daily to the
flesh. We have gotta know right now that God will help us! Cry out to
Him! He left us with the Comforter, that is the Holy Spirit that is on
the inside of us. That is how we can go through every test, trial and
tribulation. You have gotta know how to fight the devil. Suit up in
the whole armor of God, the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of
salvation. You have got to keep your mind covered under the blood and
full of the word of God! Every time the enemy comes against your mind
you have to cast it down every imagination that would attempt to exalt
itself against the high knowledge of God. In every attack in your
marriage or children you have got to know that you are not wrestling
against flesh and blood but against high powers and principalities. We
have to know how to resist the enemy, then he shall flee. We can plead
the blood and declare the word of God, He has already made a way of
escape for us! Tell the devil, it is over, it is finished! My Father
has already brought me out of that situation! Life and death is in the
power of the tongue! All we have to do is to speak Your word, resisting
the devil he has to flee! Throughout this weekend meditation, tell
yourself, I will resist the devil at every attack and at every lie. The
devil is still a liar! We serve the Alpha and Omega, the Almighty One,
I AM, Jehovah Jireh! Look at this with spiritual eyes, it is already
done! We can praise and pray our way out of this!
The enemy is under our feet! We have to hold on to God's unchanging word. We must resist the enemy! Pick up your sword and start swinging! We serve the living God, the risen Savior! Tell the enemy get behind me, cast him down and bind him up. Matthew 18:18 Verily
I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in
heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Resist the devil and he will flee. Cover yourself with the blood, from the top of your head to the soles of your feet! There is still power in the blood. Declare and decree, that is shall come to pass. Fiveamprayer, yield not to temptation! Every time he comes back tell him, as Jesus did, Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. I have the victory! I am healed! I am set free! I have been reconciled! Jeremiah 32:17
Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy
great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for
thee. God sent His only begotten Son to redeem us back to Him! Thank You God! Thank You Jesus! That is why we can say that the Lord is our Shepherd and we shall not want. We know that lack is the devil's lie. God has already prepared all that I could ask for or need. That God is opening up the windows and is pouring out a blessing on us that there won't be room enough to receive! 2 Corinthians 12:10Therefore
I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in
persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then
am I strong. James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. That is why God came on yesterday to check us out, will we be fans or followers?
Submit your selves, fiveamprayer therefore to God! The devil is still a
liar! Resist. Don't lay down on God! The devil is a liar! One can
chase 1,000 but 2 can chase 10,000! Get someone to touch and agree with
you! Matthew 18:19 Again
I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any
thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which
is in heaven. Thank You God for who You are! If we would press when the enemy has us against the wall!
We can't give up in the press. Resist the devil and be a follower of
Jesus Christ. He will send His angels to encamp around you. Keep
speaking His word! Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Thank You God! Throughout this weekend meditation, really think about
this word resist. Stand on God's word, stand therefore! We are
soldiers, we get up every day telling the devil, "now what?" The enemy
is under our feet! We lift up fiveamprayer, You know what we stand in
the need of. We must resist the enemy, he has to flee! The enemy is a
liar! We are to rebuke him and say get behind me! Teach us, Lord to be
followers of Christ, not merely fans. That You would bring us out of
darkness into Your marvelous light. We lift up prayer requests, those
known and those unknown. You are answering our request while we are yet
speaking! Isaiah 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
Thank You God for letting us know that we must turn from our wicked
ways! That we are called to seek Your face, to go before You in
prayer! Lord we ask that You would forgive us! Thank You for teaching
us that we are to forgive others to be forgiven! Thank You God for
forgiving us with no condemnation and casting our sins into the sea to
be remembered no more!
We seal this prayer in His precious blood, by His Spirit: I will resist the devil.
Welcome to the overflow...
We
are more than conquers and more than overcomers through Christ Jesus!
Because we are followers, we have the victory! Jesus took back the keys
to the kingdom, that He lead captivity captive! On Christ the solid
Rock we stand! God is making us stronger! No matter what we see or
what we are faced with, we can resist the devil and he has to flee!
Call on God, He is a very present help! Resist the devil and walk
according to God's word! Hallelujah God! It is like when a fighter in
the ring seems to be out and then they get more strength to fight and
before you know it the opponent in down for the count! Breath on us
Lord, again. Help us to stand and stand therefore. Give us a second
wind and a fresh anointing. Fiveamprayer, we must stand still and know
that He is God! This battle is not ours it is the Lord's! 2 Chronicles 20:17
Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye
still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and
Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for
the LORD will be with you. Fiveamprayer, you must not forget that you are in a fight at all times! Hallelujah God, I see the devil running away. Deuteronomy 32:30
How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight,
except their Rock had sold them, and the Lord had shut them up?
The enemy will come to attack in your marriage, through your children,
even from the pulpit. Rebuke him, in the name of Jesus! Thank You
God! Resist him, 2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down
imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the
knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the
obedience of Christ. The enemy will come to you, speaking his lies in your mind. Ephesians 4:22-24
22) That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man,
which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23) And be renewed in
the spirit of your mind; 24) And that ye put on the new man, which
after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
That is why we must renew our minds in God's word and put off the
former sinful ways. That we can now say even when we are weak, God
makes us strong! Hallelujah God! Thank You Holy Spirit! Thank You
Jesus! Turn
off the volume on the devil and turn up the voice of God! We got the
power, the devil is under our feet! God already has given us the power,
it is in His word! Stand and speak His word, keep fighting we are more
than conquers and overcomers, have an awesomely blessed weekend! To listen to this call again, click here.
