We are walking in today:  Taming The Tongue--Take A Selah Moment.

Psalm 4:2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? SelahPsalm 4:4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.Psalm 9:20 Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.Proverbs 15:4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

1 Peter 3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

Thank You God for coming on the line this week, teaching us what to speak also that we check what we allow spoken over ourselves or what others speak.  We have been given the ability to agree or disagree.  Why not get into agreement with what God has already decreed and out of agreement with the erroneous ways of the world?!  As we know in the scriptures,
Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?  So what you are speaking lets us know who you are walking with.  We have been told many times on this line that this is a faith walk, who are you walking with?  Who are you speaking like?  Matthew 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.  Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.  So do your words reflect you to be of the generation of vipers or the good man who speaks the good from out of his heart?!  This is a time for a self check!  If you have been walking contrary to God and His word, now is the time to get it right!  Psalm 78:40-42 40) How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert! 41) Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel. 42) They remembered not his hand, nor the day when he delivered them from the enemy.  Fiveamprayer we must take this time in our weekend meditation to take a selah moment and consider all that we have learned this week.  That we would immediately put into practice what we have learned, now that our eyes have been opened to see more of what God has been teaching us on the power of life and death being in the tongue.  This is not just one scripture that we can say, but really make it a part of our lives and daily interactions.  Our words can halt, detract or mislead someone else, whether by our knowing or not.  We must be aware and consider.  How many things have been said to you that effected you and even years later you may be still reeling from the affects?!  Selah.  Let us not be hasty and rush in when reflection on God given revelation is the move we should make!  Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. 1 Corinthians 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.  Two great scriptures from God to consider before speaking.  We have got to let go of the deceit of the enemy that we know better than God.  That we have found out or made a better way than the Maker of All Things!  As Pastor Taffe has said, once you make your own world and universe you can make those big decisions but until then, shush!  Thank You God for sending us this word and for the blessing of revelation as we walk through this study!  Thank You for your willing and humble servant Sandy Bell who is spending time in study of taming the tongue.  We pray that you would pour back into her for all that she pours out on this line, fill her Lord to the overflow and continue to keep her close to you as she resides in Your presence!  Amen!  Bless Your name!  To hear this again click here

We seal this prayer in His precious blood, by His Spirit:
I will take time to reflect and see if this is God's word or my own before I speak!  Thank You Holy Spirit for urging and correcting my words before they pass my lips!  We have to walk as Jesus walked, doing and saying what we see our Father do.
