We are walking in today:  Testing Brings Promotion!!!

Teaching from the book:  Principles of the Protégé: Discover the Pathway to Success, by Dr. Francisco I.Victa III

Jeremiah 31:15; Psalm 18:21, 19:12, 58:12

Psalm 75:6-76 For exaltation comes not from the east, the west, or the wilderness,7 since God is the judge. This one he will debase or that one he will exalt.

Promotion is the goal of everyone right? I mean we work hard and would all like to see some form of promotion like a new position, monetarily, or a different place. Who knows? The list goes on--but the fact remains is most of us want to see something for our efforts. David said when feeling the absence of help from Yahweh, reminded himself that in his own weakened strength--he would remember where his hope comes from. By focusing not on him nor his circumstances but on Yahweh alone.

Psalms 121:1-2
1 I lift up my eyes toward the mountains— from where will my help come? 2 My help is from the LORD, maker of heaven and earth.

Hope: Yachal Strong's Hebrews #3176 -to Wait Expectantly.

David knew where his promotion came from and not for men. Not from the commander who presently resided in the palace in David's place. Nor in the army of skilled warriors under his command, but David as a protégé realized his victories his provisions were already provided for. For David meditated on the promises foretold at his anointing as a boy.

Psalms 119:15-16
15 I will meditate on your precepts, and I will respect your ways.16 I am delighted with your statutes; I will not forget your word.

Meditate: Hagah Strong's Hebrews #1887- to moan, growl, utter, speak

David recited continually the promises told him--until his promotion to power arrived. Submitting himself to obscurity and the lessons he endured along the journey. To the fulfillment of Samuel's proclamation over David.

1 Samuel 16:13
Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the presence of his brothers, and the Spirit of the LORD came on David from that day forward. Then Samuel got up and went to Ramah.

David was anointed with power to walk out the processing ahead of him. To become what Yahweh said after his own heart. Not until the timing of Yahweh was this to be fulfilled. All the stumbling blocks and betrayal during the first anointing. While David was a child up until now. Led up to the fulfillment of time, David is appointed king of Judah.

2 Samuel 2:4
After this, the army of Judah arrived, and they anointed David king over the house of Judah. There they informed David, “The men of Jabesh-gilead buried Saul.”

Then David is appointed king of all the 12 tribes of Israel.

2 Samuel 5:3
So all the elders of Israel approached the king at Hebron, where King David entered into a covenant with them in the presence of the LORD. Then they anointed David to be king over Israel.

So finding ourselves as protégées under the process of being promoted. Years could take place yet time is not of the essence nor the focus. The quality of time spent in obscurity and seeking the counsel of Yahweh. Knowing the process ends and begins with Yahweh. Learn to allow the master to shape the heart fashioned after Yahweh,  humility, and integrity.

How is a Protege Trained?

1) SOLITUDE
The seasons of silence is a must for All protégé to hear only the voice of Yahweh in all things.

2) OBSCURITY
How to say You must be willing to be unknown, unappreciated, unapplauded. Handling little success will cause you to handle greater success.

3) MONOTONY
Learning to be who you are spiritually when no one is looking spiritually.

4) REALITY
Protégées face reality every day. Continue to live life doing the normal routines you're used to doing. Don't stop and become super spiritual in spookiness.

It is in the little place we prove ourselves capable of big things. Testing brings the promotion from Yahweh and none other. He sets up and casts down. Humbled and prideful you choose--yet promotion comes from the LORD.

1 Corinthians 1:26-31
26 Just look at yourselves, brothers — look at those whom God has called! Not many of you are wise by the world’s standards, not many wield power or boast noble birth. 27 But God chose what the world considers nonsense in order to shame the wise; God chose what the world considers weak in order to shame the strong; 28 and God chose what the world looks down on as common or regards as nothing in order to bring to nothing what the world considers important; 29 so that no one should boast before God. 30 It is his doing that you are united with the Messiah Yeshua. He has become wisdom for us from God, and righteousness and holiness and redemption as well! 31 Therefore — as the Tanakh says — “Let anyone who wants to boast, boast about Adonai.
